Stopped at steak and shake east bound pa turnpike sunday march 18 2018. Around 2 pm. Ordered black and white milkshake. The shake contained various sizes of gelatinous goo/balls. I have no idea what on earth it was or why it would be in a milkshake. As we were traveling on the turnpike we could not return it to the actual store. I think someone needs to be aware and take action. That is unacceptable. I will never eat at a steak and shake again. I will be sure to inform friends and family - especially of that location.

I visited Steak and Shake with my son for burgers and chicken tenders via the drive thru. We then went home to eat and upon eating my son bit into his burger to find a screw. I then went back to the Steak and Shake to show the manager Alok Shivpuri. The phone number is [protected].
He assured me he would send the screw to have it tested and someone would call me to resolve this issue.

My wife just found a hair on her plate, contacted an employee who took it to the manager. Then we noticed employees cooking the food without hair nets, one with a hair net on but dreads sticking out of it and another without a beard net one. Manager came out and we stated the hair net issue. Was told that they were suppose to wear them and that she hated the thin hair nets that they do have. Seems the company knows there is a problem but no-one wants to address the issue. Nasty way of doing business

So almost 2 months to the day of my last complaint about this location in Ellisville Mo. We wanted to give this Steak and Shake another chance. A little worried with trash all over the parking lot. Absolutely no problems with the food at all it's the service that they can't get right. We placed our order and I told our waitress after you bring our food out I would like to place an to go order, she said no problem. Our food came out and I said can I place that to go order she said when I come around I'll grab it. After a few minutes she is at the bar by the grill counting her tips I was trying to get her attention and just that fast her and another employee were racing outside to meet another employee and was cackling and having a good time. They came back in and all the workers (5) were having a happy time in the soda area and completely ignored the customers in the lobby. We never placed our to go order and never got another refill. Funny is not a manager in sight I don't if there was one there at all. I used to run a restaurant many years ago and this would not be tolerated at all. Sorry to say I will never ever be back at this location again I always give second chances. Oh we placed our to go order down the street with another restaurant. Thanks

I entered with 20 youth group leaders for our bonding moments after church. As soon as everyone entered and was sitting down the waiter showed an irritated attitude. She approached one of our tables to scold us saying we are not in a playground and should behave, but all the leaders were doing was telling jokes and laughing louder than she wanted. I found it fine for her to tell some of them to not be so loud but it was unacceptable how rude she was All the night. She spent the entire night rolling her eyes for kitchen mistakes and have attitude every time she approached anyone. Never had we been treated with so much hate. I believe her name was Deborah, an older white woman. Another woman who had just clocked out of her shift came up to our table to ask if we had been there a couple weeks ago and we said yes... She then slammed a receipt on the table and yelled at us saying "if you can't give at least 20% tip which is the minimum then you shouldn't go out to eat! ". She definitely had us confused with someone else. After all of us finished eating and some of us got up to pay Deborah stood at the door with the long receipt tapping her hands as if to say all of you must pay or No one one is leaving... It was beyond insulting for her to treat us as if we were criminals trying to run out without paying. We have food there every couple weeks and we are known customers of the Delray location on Linton rd and never has a single leader walked out without paying. Her attitude was absolutely nasty the entire time and cause steak and shake to lose at least 20 loyal customers. We will be spreading the word of the horrible service around!

I just waited 30 min in line at the drive through location on South Lindbergh in Saint Louis, Mo. I ordered a #4 with everything and I received burnt patties that were so dry and nothing was on the burger. I am so disappointed and honestly think I deserve a refund. I would drive back up but after waisting 30 min there earlier I just can't bring myself to do so.

I waited in line for a hour and half. The wait was so long the car in front of me ask for a refund the woman at the window through their money out the window to them. The woman at the window took our payment walked away from the window for about 15 min. Handed me my salad which was poorly made. Waited another 15 min for a chicken sandwich meal and double burger meal. She handed me the bag no sorry for the wait no thank you for being patient or your business. She just walked away from the window. Our sweet tea was not sweet and had no flavor. My daughter chicken sandwich was nasty. I have been here several times this was the worst service and food ever. People got out their cars cursing and complaining. Alot of customers pulled out of line and left. This experience makes me not want to ever come back to Stake and Shake. Your poor employee customer service is running your business and name in the ground. I suggest getting all new staff and starting over before it's too late. I rate this location a -2 😡. I ordered in drive thru at 0826 pm on 3/15/18, order #553050. Store at 200 Meijer Way; Lafayette, IN

I ordered a frisco melt, fries, and ice cream sandwich. I sat in drive thru for 29 minutes, 25 of those AFTER I paid my money. No employee looked at me let alone came to explain/apologize for the length of time it was taking. Every other car in line behind me left- I counted 9-10- as they had not paid any money yet. I finally knocked on the window and a worker told me she didn't know anything about my order. She got the manager who said "We're just really busy in here." I said that I understand busy, but 30 minutes for 1 sandwich? She then got my food- no apology, she didn't even come back herself. I won't return to this Steak and Shake

We have a joke at home that it is too bad Steak n Shake has the best milkshakes because they have the slowest customer service. I went to the location at broad and 270 in Columbus. Waited 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged me. The girl said "what are you waiting on?"
I left
I went to the Easton location. I am now waiting on 4 milkshakes. It took a while For servers to acknowledge me. It has been 20 minutes.
This is crazy.

I was the only customer in the restaurant at about 10:25 am. I got half way through my sandwich and I ran out of water. I looked for my waitress and she was standing next to the manager texting away on her phone. I kept looking at her and she finally made eye contact with me, then she looked back at her phone and kept texting. I got so pissed off I walked out of the restaurant having only eaten half of my lunch, and no, I didn't pay for it.

We go to the Steak n Shake 'n Shake in Orange City, FL. In the past the service has been good, but over the past six months. When we were there yesterday, we waited over an hour for our food. The waitress did her best to handle it and I heard her telling other customers as well as us that the food should be coming soon. There appear to be times that there are managers or supervisors in the restaurant and the service is much better at those times. Even though we really like to eat there, we are going less and less.

My husband and myself were traveling threw Somerset ky. We stopped at your restaurant off 27.
Our waitress was Tanya. She was very rude to me and flirted with my husband. She kept touching his hand and arm. I finally asked her to please stop touching him and she called me a [censor]. Me and my husband were very disturbed by this and figured Steak and Shake would not want an employee like this ruining their name.

Had no meat on my taco salad plus got a surprise - a sticker that says thur jeeves jeudi... No idea what this means nor why it was in my salad - almost called police to file a report but decided not too because ik people can make mistakes... Had to discard food - didn't want to see what else I would find plus I was amazed the onions were in full circle... [protected]

Let's just take the time out of our day to appreciate servers, waiters, host Etc. Because to deal with their bosses must be the worst part of their day. I came Into the restaurant a few days ago and witnessed a supposedly manager yelling and screaming at the women that worked there. I'm guessing he is the store manager? Caucasian mid height blue button up shirt and a tie. What Man actuals yells at women? It's hard enough working there because when i arrived It was nothing but teenagers and yelling babies. This man should be fired

Hello i went to steak and shake at 825 ernest w barrett pkwy nw, kennesaw, ga 30144. The service was horrible. I was the only one in line and it took me 25 minutes to get a simple cheese burger and fries. After the long wait, my order was cold. I was on my lunch break so i couldn't wait around for a new order and i had to throw my fries away. I told the cashier give me a large fries and she still gave me a small after i paid for it. Plus she didn't give me a receipt which leads me to believe that she is pocketing the money.
I probably wont be going back to steak and shake because of this.

To Whom It May Concern:
We visited the Steak 'n Shake, located at 4120 N State Road 7, Coral Springs, FL 33073 (store #452), last evening, March 11, 2018. It was a totally horrible experience! Took the waitress 10 minutes to bring us 3 glasses of water. After placing the order, the waitress took another 20 minutes to bring 3 salads. Just after dropping off the salads, she came with 3 plates, containing our orders. We told her we were not ready - so she took food back. When she did bring the food, all of it was ice cold! The waitress said she told the kitchen about this, and said she would take something off the bill, but never did. She brought a bill for $17.45, and figured she did reduce the bill, but when I went to pay it, the bill was $26.80. I had to wait and wait for a manager to come and do something about this.
To make a long story short, it will be a long while before we frequent this particular STEAK 'N SHAKE location again! Service was horrible, food was terrible and cold, and had to dispute final bill with a very unsympathetic manager to all that happened to us. Customer service was largely lacking, and I would not to see anyone treated the way we were at this location!

I was at the drive thru on Sunday March 11th at the location on Glenway Ave at 6:25pm. There were two cars in front of me and it took 30 minutes to get to the speaker. I ordered two number twenties and a Reese cup shake. My order was not repeated back to me. After 25 minutes I finally reached the window. When I was given my food I checked the receipt and was only charged for one number 20. When I said that I ordered two number 20s, the employee told me well that's gonna take a long time and we have a bunch of orders to get out. I couldn't believe how rude the employee was to me. In my opinion the whole experience took way too long and I was especially angry about the actual survive.

Walked into the Middletown Ohio Store Saturday March 10th. Took forever to be seated took forever to get our food. My husband ordered a grilled chicken sandwich that he couldnt even eat. The chicken tasted terrible came with stuff on it he ask not to be on it. My food was good except I ordered extra chilli didn't get it with my meal. There was a lot of confusion going on in the restaurant. People weren't getting what they orded, food was coming out that the waiter didn't know where it belonged. Bad experience...my husband had to order from somewhere else. Very short staffed! The waiter and waitresses were doing the best they could.

I walked into the restaurant at 6pm. There was no line and everyone in the place was already seated and eating. We sat down and it took our waitress 20 minutes to acknowledge us. We watched her while she watched us the entire time. She finally decided to walk over and take our order. It's took 30 minutes for my kids to receive their milkshake. It took another 45 mins for us to get our food. When it came out the food was cold. My salad was the first thing sitting in the window and the last thing to come out. Our waitress acted as if nothing was a problem. She had tables to come in after us and they received everything before we did. That was the third time I have had a bad experience at this establishment. Make me want to think twice about eating at ANY Steak n' Shake establishment again. Manager was on duty the entire time and didn't make sure anyone was doing there job.

Have to love... "Customer CARE Dept"...

How do they stay in business?... Piss Poor Service... Location: Goshen, Indiana.

The other night, I went to the drive through and was told at the speaker stand after I waited 10 minutes that it was a 20 to 30 minute wait... I drove off.

Tonight, I went there... ONE care ahead of me... and I waited 42 minutes!

If Steak and Shake can not perform... CLOSE YOUR DOORS!
