SCAM: The website collects and sells your personal data. On the top of this, they charge you a fee for what you can do with The State without any 3ed party agency fees. The phone number is just for show 888-206-4902 and does not have any person answering it. If you have used one of these services, contact your state DMV and state attorney general and alert your credit card issuer. Pay especially close attention to monthly credit card statements to spot unauthorized charges and run your credit report six to eight weeks after that transaction.

StateRegistration Org are SCAM ARTISTS.
The entity is NOT registered in the State of Nevada. They somehow receive vehicle renewal data and e-mail addresses and attempt to SCAM people!
They claim to be a legitimate business BUT provide NO telephone number, NO mailing address on their website but rather hide behind a curtain of anonymity .
In reference to their claim that they are a legitimate business I HERBY challenge them to provide their business telephone number and business address!

This site is a scam operation. They data mine your license plate information, and your E-mail address (I guess they get the information from the DMV somehow), and send you an E-mail stating, "Final Notice" with a link to pay for your vehicle registration renewal. I thought it was legitimate - I need to read things more closely next time.

The site is misleading, and makes it VERY easy for you to pay using your credit card. I never received an invoice, or transaction number, or anything of the like in my E-mail after paying. I then realized, this site is not legitimate after I didn't get a receipt. I went back to their website, and sure enough, their front page states that "this is a for-profit website that is privately owned and not affiliated with any government agency.

The contact page has a form, not a phone number. I filled out the form asking them to refund my money. I received an almost immediate response, as follows:

----

Thank you for taking the time to contact us with your concerns. Immediate action has been taken in response. Please see our comments below:

As stated in bold, prominent places throughout our site, we are a privately owned third-party agency. We explain that you may either renew directly through your state's DMV portal, or you may appoint us as your agent to renew your registration on your behalf for an additional fee that covers several benefits exclusive to our site, including Night/Weekend Support, Ticket Protection, enrollment in our One-Click Renewal Program, and more. Furthermore, before we accept any funds, we require that each user check a box consenting to our terms and the fact that we are a third-party agency that charges a fee. It is not possible to submit a transaction on our site without first checking that box and signing your full legal name, explicitly acknowledging our third-party status and authorizing us to process your renewal. These disclaimers and disclosures are in place to prevent confusion, not cause it.

In any event, we are committed to customer satisfaction. Because you did not intend to use our site, we have cancelled and voided your transaction. The funds are being returned to your account.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please reply to this email.

-----

Note: They claim that you have to click on "I acknowledge" before submitting my payment information, but I do not recall doing that. I submitted my credit card information and hit "submit." They didn't say, "oh, by the way, we're not affiliated with the Texas DMV" during checkout. When they said that they cancelled and voided my transaction, the "credit" did not show on my recent transactions, and showed up as $0. It looks like I have to wait up to 7 days.

I tried looking them up on BBB, and they can't be found. Their website doesn't have a state/address of operation, so I couldn't submit them into their system. After doing some good searches, I found a phone number from this board: [protected], but that's it. I called this number, and when I called them, it was a recording stating that they only support by E-mail.

I called my credit card company to place this transaction on fraud notice.

Do not trust this site...stay away! Totally misleading!

Hi Tom. We're not a scam, and we did—in fact—void your transaction in response to your request. The immediate you email you received proves that your matter was handled quickly and courteously. You are misreading your statement if you think we retained your funds. We will email you proof that we did NOT retain your funds; your transaction was voided immediately at your request. You probably checked your statement too soon, as it takes about a business day for a voided transaction to drop off the pending section on your statement.
