Stanton Optical service

It took me close to 50 days to get my glasses.I tried to call after the first three weeks and was told every time I called they were not in. Finnaly on day 50 I got ahold of a person who checked and found them in the store. They had not been logged in and the auto system said they were not there.I asked if ther was any recourse to take for this bad service and was told that I could turn in the glasses for a refund. As I needed the glasses to see to drive this was not an option.

Stanton Optical eye glasses price

I went to staton optical first had to pay for exam, then picked out glasses on special, was told needed upgrade lens to fit frame,
Then i asked i thought exam was free? They told me they would subtract from total, after all was done they said my glasses would be $90, they charged me 150.00, spoke to G.M., he told me they made a mistake, fine. refunded me exam, went to pick up glasses, they would not give them to me said i got a refund? Spoke to G.M. again, told him what happened. He said his workers did not tell me that. Pretty much called me a liar, suppose to give me a full refund? Not happy at all time spent, frustration, not very professional, will never go again!

Stanton Optical eye dr. and retail

Dr. was abusive and demeaning, gave me wrong prescription, would not recheck my eyes.

Retail would not give me a full refund, could not see thru the glasses, would like the rest of our money back $324.00

I am 78, went in for an eye exam, Dr. said I had phase 1 cataracs, not to worry about them Picked up new glasses and they were bleary, optician checked the power and said I needed a little more in my left eye and sent me for a recheck. Dr. said he couldn't help me because I need catarac surgery, that I would never get a drivers license. I wear glasses now and can see thru them, and I renewed my drivers license with no problem.

This Dr. needs to go back to school.

Went back on the retail side and wanted a refund on the 2 pair we purchases. They would only give me half the money back.

Stanton Optical getting a hold of someone

Last month I tried multiple times to get through the line to order contacts. They gave me numbers and tried transferring and they were no help. I said forget it and called back in a couple weeks when I actually needed a box.. So I called yesterday. And I was told different stories. They open at 9.. when I couldn't get through. They said oh they open at 915. I asked Karen why I keep going round and round to just find out how much a box of contacts are. I had to wait 2 months for my glasses as it is and I thought it was a one time thing. But I get lied to about times they open. I'm told they have been having trouble with phone lines for the last month? I doubt that. Karen was rude and did not want to help me. She seems irritated. The men that answered were nice. I still haven't gotten to the the right department. When all I want is 1 box of contacts! Since my prescription is up to date and I have same prescription for.both eyes.. I am about to leave and get a copy of script and never go back! I'm not sure what to do.. I didn't get money back from glasses I waited 2 months for. They only good part of dealing with Stanton optical was the doctor I saw. He was great.

Stanton Optical tv advertising, completely annoying

All of the local stations in my home town carry advertising for Stanton Optical, because they have an outlet office in the vicinity. Stanton optical advertises very heavily with 30 seconds spots, and sometimes 25 times per day. One of their ads, which has become an annoying part of their campaign, starts with some women (actors) sitting around in somebody's family room, discussing a book, which all have supposedly read. One lady pipes up, that she thought the same thing as someone else had already stated, and she attempts to place some pink framed spectacles on her face; when another actor/comedian, a male, from out of no where, plops his backside on the loveseat next to her. He's wearing a hooded pink body suit, and a lacey ballet tutu. He commences to make some sort of a goofy comment about her glasses as not being flattering. This by far the most stupidest and annoying regurgitation of the same commercial over and over again, that I've ever witnessed, and it needs to be replaced with something else. Also the local TV stations, don't have the intestinal fortitude to tell Stanton Optical about how annoying this promotion is

Stanton Optical customer service, skillset, and eyewear

Had an appt., got there and was told doctor was not in, so rescheduled, promised an additional ten percent off for the inconvenience...returned next day for new appt., and the lady did not even know how to file it on my insurance...nor did they mention that the special they advertised was not valid for progressive lenses but for single vision only, i explained i came solely based on their BOGO offer with free exam, which was not free afterall--said they would make me a deal anyways because they wanted my business--also charged me $45 for the exam as indicated on the receipt (that's not free) which i called them out on, so they offered to give me free prescription sunglasses-- (valued at ten dollars per lens as shown on the receipt but did not reflect any credit back, so it was a charge as well) and said they normally charge $95 for eye exam-- no optometrist in this area charges that...picked out a black pair for the sunglasses, and a blue for regular wear, 2 weeks later i go to pick them up on my promise date, and received both pair of the exact BLUE frame, which was not even the same blue i chose for the first ones...was told to stick around for twenty mins., and they would find the black ones i had chosen and would pop the lenses into those (which can't be done since they are a different style and size) but then they could not find the design in black i had first chosen, so instead, i leave and said i would be back the next day; the lady said she remembered the specific ones, so i trusted her and when i arrived today, the ones given to me were brown, and to top it off, neither time did they even have me look at any words, phrases, charts, nothing, to see if the prescription was correct and to check if i could actually view clearly (all appts. i have had over 30 years does this, everyone knows that) they were just trying to get me out as fast as they could, just as they tried as fast as they could to get me in and fall for this whole deal "special", they call it-- i have never ever ever encountered such frustration-- please heed my advice, if it is too good to be true, it really is-- don't fall for this new addition to our town claiming to have specials-- go elsewhere, or keep with the same eye doctor and vision wear that you have entrusted your eyes with-- i feel taken advantage of and wasted time and money to get nowhere with them and received the wrong frames, twice-- i don't have time for this; my loss, their gain-i should have read the reviews beforehand, not after--folks have rated them horribly, not just here, but at other stantons...i am out nearly $ 600, and all they can say is that" look, you saved about one hundred" yet i did not get what i came in for and left with glasses i did not even select-- i have not worn them enough to know yet if they are even the right ones-- that will be discovered in the next few days...i am certain they will not want me back nor do i ever want to step foot in that place ever again-- if either of these two pair do not help me see better, they will most likely just tell me i need to give my eyes time to adjust or that it is me and not the glasses-- i can hear it now, they are not in the business to help people, so why would they? they are only doing what is convenient
for themselves and not at all in favor of meeting the customer needs-- i read their guarantee- it states we want you 100% satisfied and you can make a one time exchange-- well i want my money back with 100% of it credited back to my checking account.

Stanton Optical lost 2 pair of glasses and one pair came back with the wrong prescription

I purchased two pair of glasses and one came back four weeks later with the wrong perscription and the other pair I purchased is still missing, I also gave them my husbands glasses to add a non reflective glare and they have lost those pair. I need a refund and a pair of glasses they lost replaced. I have spoke to 5 people that work there and they keep giving me people to talk to. A total circle of bull. Messages have been left for managers and MIT in charge and still no return. I have corporate and no return message. They won't even answer their phone they tell you to leave a message and don't call back. They had me on hold for

Stanton Optical Bait & switch

I was attracted to Stanton Optical for their advertised special: "2 Pair Of Glasses and an Eye Exam for only $69". The eye exam was fine but when I went to select my eyeglasses, of the hundreds of frames in the store, only 2 (yes, that's two) frames had the blue sale sticker. I asked to see a catalog page which might show other styles that were on sale - no catalog pages available. I did select a frame which had a price tag on it for $89, but when the clerk had prepared my bill, it was for almost $500! We complained about the bait-and-switch and the manager offered to sell us one frame for $150. My wife and I just paid for the eye exam, took our prescription, then left the store.

"Same Day" my eye (pun intended)!

I got the exam; and, spent the rest of the day checking my phone for the "Come and get your glasses." message.

Day 2 - Nothing

Day 3 - Nothing

Day 4 - Nothing

I stopped in today (Day 4). The kid behind the counter said my glasses were still not ready. I asked when they might be ready, he didn't know. "We'll let you know when we have them."

Highly frustrated, I made the mistake calling him a "Bait & Switch [censored]". I'm pretty sure that comment will cost me an extra day or two.

We're not talking about bifocals, or coating, or anything else aside from plain ol' glasses. I cannot recommend Stanton Optical to friends; but, if the chance presents itself, I'd happily recommend them to an enemy.

Stanton Optical poor service and quality

In late April I ordered two pair of glasses from Stanton. A week later the clerk told me the sunglasses had flaws in the lens and that they would send to be redone. A week after that I went to get the sunglasses and was told they needed two more hours or so to get the lens in the frame. Since I live 45 minutes away and traffic was getting congested I told them I would be back in a couple days. I returned after the weekend (4 days later) and was told that they had been illegally letting any staff person fit the glasses- that the one licensed staff person had to do the fitting and adjustments- and she was not due in for another hour. At that time I asked for the glasses so I could leave- after 15 more minutes a clerk came out and said their machine was broken but they would have them "soon." (stall tactic?) I proceeded to give the clerk my address and asked that the glasses be mailed to me. Another week went by and the sunglasses arrived- and THEY STILL HAD THE BLACK DOTS ON THEM USED TO MEASURE LENS TRANSITION PLACEMENT! So far nothing as gotten the dots off- I called to the store to ask how- they have a special solution- "bring them in and we will clean off" - well no way am I going to that store so I called Stanton Customer Service- they said I could only deal with the Greenville, SC, store- I could possibly mail the glasses to them and they could mail them back after cleaning- AGGGH! The poor service in not cleaning before mailing is unbelievable and no one has even apologized. So, BEWARE!

Stanton Optical very bad service

I've had good service from local eye care professionals but when the big Stanton store opened closer to me in Palm Springs Fla. advertising lower prices I brought them my new prescription and gave them a try. Big Mistake! At $771 I didn't save much but the bad service was so extreme that $50 would have been too much to pay.

The glasses didn't fit well so I went back to have them adjusted --as I have done before at my previous optical supplier. The two clerks at the front counter simply looked at my glasses and said they looked OK and then ignored me. I tried to get help but they just said your glasses look OK -and rudely went away. I took the hint and went for help elsewhere.

That was a couple months ago. Then today, I brought back the sunglasses that I use only occasionally for golf because the eye pads had fallen off and when I tried to put them on it was clear that they didn't fit and would fall off again. So I went back and was again rebuffed by the very rude employees --they told me that they did lenses not sunglasses and I'd have to go to the manufacturer of the frames --even tho I bought them from Stanton just a couple months before.

I asked for the manager and she brought the frame to him and he just told her that they didn't fix stuff like that. He would not talk to me.

Then the kicker: she handed me back my sunglasses and with an exaggerated fake smile said, "have a nice day." Her associate laughed and repeated mockingly, "have a nice day."

My worst experience in over 40 years of buying glasses.

Stanton Optical insurance reimbursement - service

I went to Stanton to purchase a pair of regular and a pair of sunglasses with their 2 for 1 special. The place was filthy. Parking was ridiculous. All the frames on display were filthy, and even though it looks like they have a large selection to choose from, 90% of them are basically the same frame. Very few designer frames. The store was packed. There was very little room to move around and look at the frames. No organization in the store, no 'take a number' or sign-in sheets. I had to walk around to find someone to help me, even though there were 3 standing together talking about personal things. After finally choosing (settling on) 2 frames, I sat down with one of the associates (I don't know if she was an optician or what). We determined my options and went over pricing. I informed her that my insurance company (EyeMed) reimburses me 40% on a second pair of frames and lenses. Stanton is part of EyeMed's in-network providers. She said because it was a 2 for 1 sale, I would have to pay upfront and submit a claim to EyeMed for the 40% reimbursement. She called EyeMed, told them it was a second pair, and they quoted her my reimbursement of $105. She gave me an EyeMed claim form. I paid them $427 and left. I found out today that my claim was denied, that EyeMed only pays 40% if Stanton submits the entire claim to them. Stanton should know this is how it works. They are a rip-off. It's been 11 days and I have yet to get my glasses.

You should have gotten more information from your insurance company prior to going. As with most vision insurances, they will only pay for one pair of eyeglasses not two. I have worked with Eyemed for many years now, and they do offer a 40% off a second pair of glasses-- you don't get reimbursed 40% you pay the company where you get your glasses-- so if your total comes to $200 on your second pair, you paid a company who is making your glasses $120, you don't get reimbursed for that. You have the option of choosing one pair of glasses that your insurance covers with co payments that are required and if its an in network company they can bill directly. Your claim will be denied by any insurance if it has multiple transactions for glasses, since insurance companies will only pay for a portion of one pair of glasses. And just because a company might be in network with an insurance plan, doesn't mean they have the ability to bill directly. With a major change in the health care, most health care places won't bill your insurance, you as a third party are responsible to do it. Its up to the patient to know what their coverage is are for their health plans before they go in and gets services rendered. And just a side note go back to Stanton and ask for an individual receipt for each pair of glasses and resubmit the claim to eyemed-- the customer service reps at EyeMed don't like to deal with third party Claims, so they will deny your claim just to make it easier for them. They are required to reimburse you for what your allowance is are under your plan. Best of luck.

First time I went there and I do agree. Parking was so bad .I had to call 3x to check status of my frame made promise that they will call back and. There was no call back at all .. wouldn't even mention the name here... Even picking up the frame they don't have a wiping cloth for the glasses after paying hundred dollars for your lens...? what kind of optical place is this?

Stanton Optical poor customer service

When I picked up the two pairs of glasses that I had ordered and tried them on in the store, I thought one pair looked a little crooked on my face. When I mentioned this to the sales girl, she took the glasses from me, set them down on the counter and proceeded to show me how level they were! HELLO... maybe it's my ears that aren't level. I couldn't believe that she didn't know how to fit a pair of glasses. That's supposed to be her job!

Stanton Optical - bad service

I bought glasses from them, but I couldn't see through them. So I claimed a refund because in receipt it said "no refunds, exchanges only AFTER 30 days". But I've done it next day after I received them and now they don't want to pay me back.
