Brian Hunt of Stansberry Research spammed my inbox with an email under the highly misleading topic of "An Urgent Message from Friends of Liberty Watch". It feeds into a presentation which has nothing to do with politics or liberty. It begins with Brian bragging about his financial advice supposedly avoiding the disastrous bubbles, etc. The presentatin sounds like the B.S. coming from all the financial newsletter writers.
I would not deal with a shameless spammer, time waster and someone who does not see a problem with flagrant misrepresentation.

Interesting. Mr Hunt spammed me 28 December, message subject "Here's how you can thwart 'facial recognition". It ends with:
"I strongly encourage you to at least check out his 3-minute on-camera segment.
I'm pretty sure this production is like nothing you have seen before, and I guarantee it will be well worth your time.
To check it out, go here [link].
Best regards,
Brian Hunt
Editor in Chief, S&A Investment Research"

I'm interested in this field, but these links are always video and so are all literally a waste of everyone's time in which the words are mouthed at a very slooow talking speed (because they think their audience is stupid). So instead I did some internet searches and found the text content, a bit too repetitive but fair enough. However I was annoyed by Hunt's obviously misleading "3-minute on-camera segment" and checked it out. Sure the guy's only on camera (well, blacked out) for 3 minutes or so, says nothing useful, then (I kid you not) his words appear in text form at talking speed while he talks slowly OFF-camera. Just for a laugh I let it drone on semi-audibly in the background while I got on with work. It finished after 91 minutes.
Never mind, I'm sure Mr Hunt doesn't treat all his customers like ###s with Alzheimers'.

Recently, a Barack Obama impersonator recorded a fictional “speech” that is sending shockwaves through the financial community.

It may be fiction for now, but this “speech” is quickly becoming an Internet sensation, with nearly 8, 000 views last weekend.

I strongly encourage you to check it out, free of charge, here, because this “speech” may forever change how you think about our country and your personal safety.

Sincerely,

I agree that Stansberry & Associates maybe giving a bit of a sales pitch when it comes to watching the video, but there are some remarkable truths to his sells pitch. The monetary reserve aspect of things, and financial futures of most American. We are in too much debt, and the only way will ever get out of it is to spend less then we make and pay the debt that we have and to start saving for the future whether that is in foreign currencies or tangible assets. You cannot spend your way out of a recession or depression. It is not possible. We have to save and pay. The recession a depression happens is because of contractible occurrence that happens in an economy. Look at the US economy as a small business. Any small business that continues to borrow and spend cannot remain afloat for very long. You have to save during the good years and grow during the bad years. Not vice versa.

This scam has been making the rounds for a few weeks by now. I recommend anyone who falls for it to read up on Stansberry's history at Green Laser Reviews. http://greenlaserreviews.com/2010/12/03/stansberry-review/
They also do a good job taking apart this fear-mongering sales pitch in a number of articles: http://greenlaserreviews.com/2011/01/05/end-of-america-stansberry-review-investment-advisor/
Stansberry has been convicted of stock fraud before.
