Substandard Over priced Independent school, poor teaching standards, do not beleive the teaching standards at this school. All parents sending their children for additional tuition after school hours. Not much teaching going on at the school during the day. Huge amounts of home work given each night for parents to teach their child at home. I have first hand experience, many other parents agree. However, difficult to take your child out of school as not possible to find place in another school. All parents desperatly searching for places elsewhere.
This school is not reccommended, it is a complete wast of finances. If you have money to through away and you're not looking for anything in return, this is the school for you.

Beware – ‘Fortiter Fideliter Feliciter’ is latin for ‘read the fine print or we’ll keep your deposit like a dodgy letting agent’.
Until recently I had two girls in St Aubyns. Of course when you enrol in any private school there is a fee to reserve place, and a deposit (from memory £100 and £500). However, that ‘deposit’ does not come off first term fees. It is only ever returned specifically if the student leaves the school in Year 6 and if requested. I find it an underhand business practice, from my perspective they have stolen £1000 through deception when we went out of our way to be open with our plans and have spoiled otherwise generally good memory of the school.
Only other comment – be careful attending any event hosted by the principal Mr Blom. He loves nothing more than sound of his own voice.

Sent my child there after removing from woodford prep and the teaching standards are awful. Waste of money. Most people get good 11+ results because of tutoring. They do not prepare you for eleven plus at all. Definitely not for bright kids
