It happens that ssmf inc took $1175.00 dollars deposit on 6/20/2006 to install my shutters and never delivered. And now the general contractor is saying it is not his fault. However, he lent his license to a fraudulent company and wants to claim no responsibility. What happens to people that gave their savings to protect their properties and lives from south florida's hurricanes. We do not even get an apology. Mr. Hernandez i am not going to sit idle with my arms crossed. Ssmf is not going to keep my money they will pay me or their lawyers & you are responsible as well.

Hi, I came across your complaint on the Internet and the title cough my attention. The general contractor the you mentioned, is part now of a company called "Alpha Aluminum Services", located in Davie, and no surprise they are still scamming people. I used to work for that company before and I know that they are doing installations without cities permit, selling jobs without permit, not telling costumers that its required by city. They do that so they wont have city inspections on their jobs, they save money not applying for it and can sell with a short installation time. They also have new contracts which they cannot fulfill the agreement with the costumers, because they have spent the deposits made by these costumers and the company is now broke, thanks to Bryan Hernadez and the Owner Beni Halava, which by the way has a huge debt with employees and the previous owners that has not been paid and more likely will never be. At SSMF and Alpha, Bryan and Beni Halava, passed as city inspectors to home owners, so they could have their company collecting the contract balances that was due after city inspections.

Well, I hope you can use or pass this information around. I'm just an ex-employee, that worked hard hours under the sun for these people to support my family and at the end never got paid for the services. I hope they burn in hell. Thanks.

Of course that contractor who "lent" his license to another, unlicensed contractor is just as guilty as the unlicensed contractor who used it. Both parties are criminally liable. What gall this guy has claiming your shutter problems are not his fault!

Don't worry Annabel... I'm sure Bryan will pop up here...not to help, not to apologize, not to suggest what can be done or WHO we SHOULD be blaming... he'll just come here to point the finger at someone else. Typical SSMF... they aren't into correcting the problem, they are concerned with making sure they aren't blamed.

Bryan is clearly a class act.
