Square - I want my money back from square

Square cancelled my merchant services without notification. I got an email at 5:30 in the morning saying I violated their terms and they could no longer support my business, no further details were given. All merchant services were cut off. When I tried to call customer service, I got a recording asking for my customer code. When entered the recording said, my account was deactivated and they could not help please refer to the email, then hung up. They completely cut me off from customer service and would not let me talk to a person to find out exactly what I violated. I purchased square registers and they also host my website. They can only be used with a square merchant account, no third party service. i was able to reach customer support for my website hosted by square and get transferred to square customer service. They told me sorry your account is deactivated. They would not tell me exactly why and that the decision was final. They submitted an escalation to the complaint department but said they were unable to call me and I would only receive an email. I received a generic email saying "sorry our decision is final" with no more details. I responded to the email and received no response in return. They just completely cut me off. Looking through the terms, it seems I was selling a prohibited item. We recently added a book about plants called "Occult Botany". Occult materials are listed as prohibited. This is absolutely outrageous to cancel someone's entire business for a book title. Also the definition of "occult" is very broad. Fairies are technically "occult" would my business have been cancelled for selling a book about fairies? I think not. Then I find out that all of the square gift cards I have sold are also deactivated! I have over $2, 000 dollars in gift cards outstanding. What am I supposed to tell my customers?! "Sorry, square screwed you too" This is unacceptable. Why does square not reach out to their customers and resolve the issue or at least give a warning before canceling their service?

Desired outcome: I spent thousands on their equipment and services and now i have to spends thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours rebuliding my business with another service.

Square - Fraudulently taking money from account

Square took money from our new business account. A recent new startup business. They claimed it was from a different business that was closed long ago, that was in someone else's name. It had nothing to do with us. We provided them with all the documentation they requested yet they kept trying to debit the account, costing us a lot of money in fees. We were eventually forced to close the account just to stop them from attempting to debit it. Fortunately the bank manager had been through this with customers who use Square before and sided with us.

The Square "Customer Success" team was absolutely horrific. It literally took weeks to speak to a real person. They lied to us multiple times, on recorded calls. Even telling us, more than once, that the "Recovery Team" doesn't have phones (yes, they actually said that) So, were have never been allowed to talk to anyone who knows why they are taking money.

We have, to date, spent over 40 hours trying to resolve this issue with Square. Finally, after nearly two months a real person called. He, even said that the "Recovery Team" doesn't have phones. Ridiculous!
The end result of the conversation was they still refuse to pay us back what they cost us and still insist we somehow owe them money, but they'd give us a credit and forgive us our debt.
The thing is, we DON'T owe them. Never have.

Square needs to square up with us.

I have had these same problems! There is no human being to talk to. Incredible. These complaints should be aired to the whole world as a warning.

A Class Action Suit may be in order here. It definitely seems to be a pattern. I even asked for Mediation and they refused to answer or aknowledge.
I'm pretty astounded by the amount of businesses that say they have been screwed by Square this same way ..
I personally call them Squeeves (Square Thieves)

Square - Taking money from my banking account without my permission

I received a message from Square that they wanted to know if I was pleased with with my experience. They took $32.00 without my consent. I have never had any business dealings with this company and do not know how they accessed my funds.

Desired outcome: Return of my money and no more raiding my account

Square - $634 in unauthorized, stolen money billed to our checking.

Were were shocked to find an unauthorized, $634 charge on our checking account with this company. There is no way to contact these sleazebags without becoming their "customer" - if i lived in San Francisco I might take the law into my own hands.

The charge appeared on 5/7/2019 on our on-line checking account with M&T Bank, transaction no. 190506P2.

Square - San Francisco district attorney actively covering up for ross nadel and square, inc.

Fellow Jew, Ethel Siegel Newlin, of the San Francisco District Attorneys Office is actively covering up for Super-Jew, ex-Federal Prosecutor, Ross Nadel’s vast criminal private enterprise known as Square, Inc. Merchant Services, judging by the 5000 complaints literally filed against Square, Inc in the last 3 months. This “company” is also being run by ace numb-nut Jack Dorsey, and the 5000 complaints online pertain to almost every type of massive federal and state financial crime known to mankind, such as false filings with the SEC, theft of property, grand larceny, money laundering, internal and external stock price manipulation, shareholder lawsuit sabotage, wire fraud, mail fraud, RICO, insider trading, extortion, blackmail, and other bad things. But how can the US Government prosecute Square, Inc, when they are actively protecting Ross Nadel and his organized crime racket? Seems like LA’s Gangster, Mickey Cohen, has been born again
