Spirit Incentives cruise w/airfare / false advertising
We were awarded a free cruise with airfare but when trying to schedule it, Spirit tried to make it as difficult as possible. They asked for 2 date ranges which we gave them(1 was several months out) but were told that they wouldn't be able to work with those dates and tried to assign us a date that they said would be their only offer. The mailer we got on the promotion said it would be Norwegian or Royal Caribbean. The offered us a Carnival cruise because it is the absolute cheapest cruise line to use. They refused to acknowledge that the mailer we got even specified anything at all. So after arguing with a supervisor named Elaine for 2 days, finally offered us a different date which was NCL but then we were told the air travel had to be on Spirit Airlines which charges for carry ons and all baggage plus a seat charge. In all the "free cruise with airfare was going to cost us at least $1500. At this point I was completely frustrated and decided to ask for a refund and file appropriately with the states of Florida and Colorado. As always, I have plenty of documentation to hang them and their partner Highlands Resorts!!!
