Southern Hospitality / Fraud and cheating

On September 7, 2008, a Marketing Representative from Southern Hospitality visited our church. As Evangelism Director of our church, I spoke to her after the service in our social hall regarding placing an ad in the Guest Services Directories of 3 nearby hotels. After further discussion within our church council during the week, we decided to place the ads for our church. Payment of $500 and a signed contract was made on September 10, 2008. Jan Johnson, their marketing representative, stated that she must have payment by the 10th because the ads would be going 'to print'.

It is now April 3, 2009, there are no Guest Services Directories of any kind in any of the three hotel rooms we and others paid for. The hotels are Sleep Inn, Comfort Inn, and Holiday Inn, all located on N.W. 36 St. across from Miami International Airport. I have spoken to the Operations Manager, Jermaine Burke, of Sleep Inn, on three occasions regarding the directories and he has referred it to his General Manager Betty Steele of all three hotels. She has had no luck with Southern Hospitality either. At the very least we would like a refund of our monies.
