After talking with the dean & president of the Savannah Campus about fraud and several concerns of mine, they failed to address correct the fraud. I was discriminated against as a student questioning the logic behind the lies and tried to say I was the problem. Any person who is having an issue should overload the email boxes of the President and Deans of the Universities telling them we the student have had enough and we will fight for our education that we are paying high prices for. This white collar fraud that is going on, and has been going on for over 100 years will end with this generation of no bull ### takers! We will stay until they do there job the right way the first time. Education is important and we the students of South are wiser this time around because we rule the world :)

I was attending Argosy University when they closed and South University said they were a sister school and I would get a 30% tuition break. I was getting 1879 from old school, South gives me 500$ and said I have to earn the rest! Took me four months to get a check after doing finance counsel jobs now haven’t gotten anything at all. I sent a notarized letter I needed TWO WEEKS AGO FROM OHIO TO PA and they claim they HAVE NOT RECEIVED IT! Liars. Rip offs

I was also stupid enough to enrolled in thier online program and after I applied for finalcial aid I was told that I didn't have to worried about anything but by the end of the first semester I received a bill for $ 3, 000 dollars and when I tried to withdrew and transfer to another school they gave me hell! now they are saying that owed them over $17, 000 dollars just for half of a semester.

After finding out that South University in Savannah GA offered a program of study that I was interested in I called and spoke with a bright and cheery female. I wanted to ask a few questions but was hurriedly rushed into making a face to face appointment ASAP - I wish I would have done my investigation first... I met a week later but was FORCED to fill out a form that required all kinds of personal information including social # and I could not see this person I had an appointment with until I filled out this form. I was baffled by this but the school was so clean and new and vibrant - teeming with preppy and paraprofessionals - and older students... Once the form was filled out I met with the bright cheery female and she started pulling out all kinds of forms FORCING ME TO FILL OUT ALL THESE FORMS FOR ADMISSION - I told her I wasn't prepared to meet with Financial Aid and agree to all kinds of forms regarding student loans and most certainly not an application for admission to the school. She replied that it was just preliminary and that if and when I decided to attend everything would be filled out and there for the sake of being on file. A representative from Financial Aid came in and spoke with a silver tongue and said that in order to attend I WOULD HAVE TO TAKE OUT LOANS IN ORDER TO ATTEND BECAUSE IT WAS A PRIVATE SCHOOL... I told her in front of the cheery girl: YOU SHOULD TELL PEOPLE ABOUT THESE LOANS AND TRYING TO FORCE EVERYONE TO FILL OUT ALL OF THESE PAPERS FOR ADMISSION TO GIVE THEM AN OPTION BEFORE THEY PROVIDE PERSONAL INFORMATION ABOUT THEMSELVES... While signing the forms for a mock admission - as this is what I thought it was - also - I had to fill out these forms before I could speak with an Advisor regarding the program itself - I had disagreed that I was not authorizing this CONSUMER REPORT that they were forcing people to agree to - had a representative a "SUPERVISOR" initial after what I had said that I was not agreeing to do... I left feeling totally violated and confused - I called the cheery rep and said that I would not attend the school - although she said they would order my transcripts for free - and that "it would just be on file..." I called and left a message with her and the FINACIAL AID rep and said I did not plan on attending school and I would get back with them - I received a letter two weeks ago for ORIENTATION - of course I ignored it - and now I received a bill for $50 and something on this BILL saying that I have a line of credit #... This school is a fraud and is committing fraud against people and forcing them to fill out forms when they have no right to do this especially when it's an informational visit ONLY... South University seems very much like a cult in it's operation - and everyone that works there is a Stepford Wife type and LIES AND MANIPULATES, AND COERCES UNSUSPECTING PEOPLE - now I have to battle with these people and find out if they have financially capitalized off of me thru a scam.

I am so relieved to hear that I am not the only one with problems at SUO. I've been taking online courses for 6 months now and have got A's in all courses except for 1, algebra. I knew I would have a problem so I told my counselor that I would take the course later in the semester to give me time to study, he told me to try and that the school offered tutoring. I did just that. The first week I began to have a lot of problems with the tutoring and the main one was they were giving me the wrong process of the problems I presented them with. When I got my results that week all the one's that I needed help with were mostly wrong. I notified my counselor and told him I wanted to withdrawl from the course he said I couldn't and to just keep trying, i told him that I was having problems with my tutoring and he did not do anything about it. I ended up with a 68.89% and needed a 70% to pass the course I made some complaints but they said I would have to take the course over even though it wasn't my fault, then the tutoring department contacted me and offered me 2 free hours of tutoring. what a joke! What can I do?
