Sony Blue/green line across the scree

1 year and 2 week old Sony Bravia TV. A blue/green line showed up across the screen. I called Sony and even though it was ONLY 10 days out of warrenty they would not do anything about it. I will never spend the extra money to buy a Sony anything again.

This very same thing happen to me. Sony took absolutely no responsibility for the defective TV and to top it off, Costco was even less apologetic to have sold a $750 flat screen to that lasted less than 2 years. The ironic this is that this TV replaced our Sony of over 10 years that was still working. In my opinion this is "planned obsolescent" to the highest power. Shame on you SONY! I will never buy a Sony product again.

Sony it is a lemon

I have owned a sony vaio for less than one year. I have had nothing but problems since owning it. It has been repaired three times, in which now it has a new motherboard, memory and keyboard. Because it has been serviced three times, now they have asked me to mail it to them and I will not have a computer for at least three weeks. I have asked them if I could have some kind of loaner computer so that I can use it for the classes I take online. They do not care that I cannot do my schoolwork and that I will not have a computer for that long. I wish I would have not bought this computer and plan to tell everyone how awful it is.

purchased audio system model RM-SW55 from jumbo electronics Dubai Jumbo Electronics few years back. Now my remote audio system RM-SW55 is not working. I checked in kerala with sony service center. Sony Usatisfied with the services and parts

I bought a sony ericcson aino u10i phone in month of [protected]. Now i am having a problem in my mobile, the problem lies is the touch screen is not working and phone screen is not locking means phone is not going on stand by mode. Now the sony ericsson service station people are saying that it will take fifteen days time, i dont have any spare mobile set to use.
Now they are saying that we dont have that part which is to be changed. . .
This is not a fault of customer this is company's problem why should customer will suffer. . .
Kindly resolve my problem. . .

TODAY IS DECEMBER 15TH AND AFTER MANY MANY FRUITLESS CALLS TO WHAT THEY CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE WE STILL HAVE NOT RECIEVED ANY SIGN OF THESE GAMES OR THE REDEEM CODES THAT HAVE BEEN PROMISED MULTIPLE TIMES. Sony TV cost over $5000, lasted 5 years and 6 months

I purchased a 60" HDTV Sony Bravia Grand WEGA KDF-60XS955. This was supposed to be a 10 year to 15 year TV. Cost over $5000, 6 months after my 5 year warranty was up with BEst Buy the blue light box is going out. Guess what, it costs as much to replace as a new TV, really $5000 and it can't make it more than 5 years? When I went to Best Buy to replace it, the sales rep says this is a pretty widely known problem with these TVs. Wish they would have told me this when I bought it! Sony has lost any sense of quality or character as a corporation.

Sony Faulty Hard Disk/OS

I bought Sony Vaio with S/No. [protected] 7006513 on 12/June/2010 model no. VPCEA23EN.

The reason as to why I bought Vaio was because I had trust in Sony as a brand. It’s been a very tough journey ever since I bought this Laptop. This has got an Operating system problem.

On an average after every 20 days the Operating system of the system is crashing with the following notifications:

Runtime error

1) C:Program filesSonyVaiogateVaiogate.exe

This application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way .

Please contact the application team for more information.

2) C:WindowsSystem32ConfigSystem profileDesktop refers to a location that is unavailable. It could be on the hard drive on this computer or on a network.

I have contacted Vaio customer care and got the Customer ID 6213482 and 6406160(For the same problem)

They provided me with the contact details of one of your OUTSOURCED SERVICE CENTRE Jaypee Electronics, Noida

I have handed over my laptop to them for repairing on 24/10/2010. They changed the Hard disk and returned the laptop on 29/10/2010.

Within next some time OS crashed once again. I once again approached Jaypee Electronics on 14/11/2010 to get the laptop fixed. They returned the laptop on 21/11/2010 after COMPLETE FORMAT and the system has crashed once again on 23/11/2010. The service centre people are clueless about the problem.

Now I WANT SONY TO REPLACE THIS DEFECTIVE LAPTOP.

I have tried enough to fix this laptop however of no use. Now kindly replace this defective laptop with a working one.

I am owning VPCEA23EN laptop and i am facing the hard disk problem. It was working fine. All of a sudden the blue screen of death came and after that its not booting at all. I have all my data lost. I m too frustated. Very worst laptop ever had. Who will bare for my loss?I had used Lenovo, HP and found it much better. I got that on June 2010. I have Sony TV, Home theater. Even my car stereo is Sony. I had lot of trust on Sony. But now
I am fooled easily by Sony Corporation.The lifetime of the laptop is just 2 years, and for that i had to pay 42k. It makes me to think about all the other investments in Sony and my future plans to buy Sony Products.

even i am facing the same problem with sony vaio VPCEA23EN laptop. I too had immense faith in Sony as a brand and hence i invested my hard earned money in this peice of crap. My laptop has crashed 3 times and even after the 3rd repair it still doesn't shut down normally. Enough of running around with this crap. I want Sony to replace it. Sony intentionally has fooled hundreds of customers like us just for their business profil. Will never buy another Sony product in my life and would advice people to do the same.

Sony defective kdl46v3000

Sony KDL46V3000 has a design flaw?

I believe there is a design flaw with this TV. The manual controls for the TV are located on the top center preventing proper heat ventilation for the LCD panel and tcon pcb curcuit board directly under it. This is the likely cause of a heat related LCD failure.

Sony LCD TVs are essentially Samsung or Sharp LCD TVs

Did you folks know that Sony LCD TVs are actually made with either Sharp or Samsung LCD panels. I found this out when my Sony KDL46V3000 LCD TV panel failed at 18 months and out of warranty. I checked to see if just replacing the TCON pcb at about $49, would fix the single vertical red line problem in the middle of my display. I noted the part number for both the TCON pcb and the LCD panel was a Samsung part number. It turns out they must be replaced together, and the LCD panel costs more than the TV is worth.

I paid a premium for the Sony brand name believing it to be more durable than Samsung or Sharp. Therefore it would seem that the smarter purchase for this Joe consumer would have been to buy the Samsung or Sharp and use the Sony premium difference to pay for the extended warranty. It turns out there is a pretty high failure rate in LCD panels, and they are not repairable.

Sony Service Center and Call Center not responding

I have Sony Ericsson Vivaz (U5i) and faced some display Problem, hence I gave it to your Authorized Service Center (Phone Zone, Chennai) on 15th November, 2010. Still I didn’t get the phone back. Whenever I call the service Center (Phone Zone) they are saying that parts are not shipped and not giving the proper delivery date. Hence I called the Sony Ericsson Call Center at [protected]. I spoke to 4 different guys including couple of escalation representative, I didn’t get any proper response they simply saying call us after 4 days on each phone call made every 4 days. Not sure whether these guys are dragging my warranty period or what?

sir,
i bought xperia min pro in november and it got switched off in march and didnt turned on, i gave to service center in april n its july they still are giving me no sign of repair, i call after each week n they say to ask later.
very poor service sir totally dissapointed by sony .
if u want i ll send the bill no n mob id .looking fwd for any action.

I have purchased F305 10 months earlier .Now its screen doesnt show image/number. It also gets hanged whenever I try to respond incoming calls. I have submitted it with a service center at parel. I have beeen told that the spareparts are not available . After a period of 25 days I have not received my handset . The service of this company is really very poor.And customer unfriendly. I wont buy any of its product in future.

Sony Have given cell phone which was under warranty for repairs but no action till date and neither the service center picks up the phone to revert

It has been since 09 Oct the cell phone details of which has been given for repairs to the service centre at DN Nagar Link Road Andheri, Mumbai, India but inpsite of repeated visits and innumerable phone calls, there has been absolute inaction. Sony Beware

I bought a Sony Tv directly from Sony through Direct Buy. I paid $2500.00 for the TV. When I searched for information on my TV when it quit working I found a recall that I was not informed of. I took Tv to be repaired and was told it would cost $3000.00. I had only had this TV for 2 years. Contacted the Better Business Bureau. When contacted they offered to pay half repair or 50% to replace. If you paid as much as I did for a TV that only lasted 2 years and cost more to fix than TV cost, would you want another Sony. I didn't.

Sony Product dissatisfaction

Hi,
i have purchase a sonny erricsion mobile model no. W 20 Zylo on 9 of Oct 2010 which is now not at all working properly.
It is hardly a month and the phone has default in screen display and in slide when contacted to service center they said that this is the default in this mobile of which they have 30 cases and i have to wait for 7 days at least then i have to go there as that internal product was not available at the center.
Now if the phone has this manufacture default and it can happen in a month duration then how many times do i have to go to service center and secondly the warranty expires in an year then what if same happened i have to pay which i can't take so either te company should solve the issue else i have to case.

Sony Fraud -

Purchased a new laptop from Sony... a month ago. The AC power adapter broke today. Spent 3+ hours with tech and customer support only to learn that I was sold a refurbished laptop, which was why they could not locate my serial # in their system. This is an outrageous business practice...

They said it was a miscommunication but it was really a fraudulent/unethical conduct on Sony's part to sell me a $1200 refurbished laptop without telling me what I was getting. I would NEVER purchase a refurbished laptop.

They offered me 5% discount on a new purchase... are you kidding me? I will NEVER purchase another Sony product... EVER!

What is the truth does this money exist or has this been set up by Hackers who have complete access to your IT System and how vunerable is your company to allow this to happen! From what I have seen this is an international scam and should be Investigated by the proper Authorities.

With my very disappointing experience with SONY, India, I am writing this mail to complain and to challenge your brand excellence.

I purchased SONY VPCEA23EN laptop worth Rs 42130/- in July’10. Within one month of this brand new laptop purchase, my hard disk got crashed and I lost all the important data.

As per advice from SONY CUSTOMER CARE REPRESENTATIVE, I handed it over to SONY CENTER (Rainbow Services), Surat, Gujarat on 17th September 2010 for investigation of the problem I faced in hard disk. SONY CENTER handed me back my laptop but surprisingly, the whole hard disk was changed..! This means, I will not be able to recovery my lost data at all.

Upon asking the reason for this, I was told by CCR that SONY is facing the problems in the laptops in which, SAMSUNG HARD DISKS have been installed and it has been replaced now.

Disappointingly, I relinquish my disputes just on SONY name and I started my work again on the same laptop with replaced hard disk. Now, again yesterday, on 26.10.2010, my hard disk got crashed…! And this has been confirmed by SONY CCR…! Again, I have lost all the necessary data. This is not accepted from SONY at all.

Now, here by I am seeking answers from SONY, India.

Within 3 months of purchasing brand new and costly laptop from SONY, two times the hard disks have been crashed and I have lost all the important data meanwhile.
Due to technical faults in SONY products, why should customer suffer the problem even though paying the full price?
Having spent considerable amount and looking at the importance of my work, I can not afford to spare myself without laptops during the time I hand it over for corrections to SONY CENTER frequently.
This kind of problems I am facing within 3 months for the 2 times and now we can not trust on SONY’s name that, this will not happen again.
If particular supply of the SONY has the problem, then SONY should discontinue or recall such kind of products proactively without wasting customer’s important time, money, patience and trust.

Other then above mentioned problems in me and my friend’s case, my another friend also got the problem in SONY VAIO LAPTOP : MODEL NO. VPCEB24EN (Invoice attached).

In this particular problem, VAIO LAPTOP of my friend was awarded with faulty CD/DVD drive for which he gave back to the SONY CENTER that particular faulty laptop and again got it back after correction.

Having fed up with such repetitive problems occurring frequently, now I can not continue with using your product as my important data are always at risk using SONY laptop. Most importantly, I can not trust this product of your now.

Seriously speaking about SONY Products now, above mentioned three cases have made me to believe very firmly that I SHOULD NOT RECOMMAND “SONY” brand to any one.

Please proceed to refund me back the amount I spend to purchase this horrible laptop. Hope, you will take this matter very seriously as it is directly affecting to your brand name and it will surely damage your brand name with such kind of experience.

Above mentioned three cases, if you have taken under your consideration, you will surely see the lapses in the SONY’s product quality offerings to the customers.

So, please without showing me other solutions or instead of apologizing for the same, REFUND ME BACK THE AMOUNT I SPENT failing to which will make me to take further actions.

Sony display not working during slide open

Sir,

i bought the sony ericsson W20 mobile on 14-sep-2010. It worked well untill 17th OCT. Problem started when I tried to open my cell and found my display is not working .

i visited the represented show room on OCT 19th and explained the problem. they said the mobile spare part is missing, it will take 15 or 20 days to replace the part.

Up to that 15 or 20 days what i have to do?
I suspect you will be able to replace the part after 15 or 20 days becoz there is no response from you people untill today, If it is not replaced as soon as possible I need to face so many problems due to lack of communication.
You have to consider it as critical issue and replace my my original part with spare or replace my mobile which ever is earlier.
If not i have to take spurious action by going to consumer forum.

Sony NON INSTALLATION OF HOME THEATER

I had purchased a home theater from one of your dealer on 9th oct, 2010 and till date it has not been installed at my residence. I have lodged three compalints in this regards vide compalint no. 6222271 dt 25th oct, 2010 and 6239837 on 27th oct, 2010 and third complaint on 29th Oct-the compalint no. of which is still to be given to me. Apart from this I have spoken to your call centre almost everyday for lodging the compalint, but regret to mention that not even a single response has been exteded to me. Is it the kind of services you give to your valued customers? Is it the kind of attitude you show to your customer. Have I done any mistake by purchasing Sony Home theater for approx. Rs 60000/- just to see the black box. It is indeed a bad and undesired experience I have had from a comapny of your repute. I would still request you to attend my compalint on top priority and satisfactorily. I expect this to be attended in the next 24 hors.

Sony Sony vaio laptop unable to reboot

i bought a laptop this July, and it was 10 days ago not rebooting, i do not know what is the reason, it just suddently shut down, and when i turned on again, it says "no operating syste found" in the screen. later I called sony custermer service at oct 17th, at that time they said they set a service for me and will send someone to my place to fix this problem with my laptop.
i waited 4 bussiness days, nobody contects me, and i called back to sony, they said the technicion is still waiting for the part that they need to replace for my laptop, it will take 2 days. so i waited for another 2 days. today, which is 10 days passed since my laptop broken down, there is still no one contact me from sony. i have no idea what is going on with their technicion, and i really want to draw their attention about this problem. For a big company like them, they should not have this kind of problems, and they really need to improve this.

Sorry! I forgot My Laptop is a Vpceb15fm. This is very frustrating! Stress and depress because that. I cancel my college, I can't going on and study in my Vaio with this problem. I feel like I gift $729.oo and plus to Sony. My Cmputer Right now dosen't work. Always when i call Sony is like fight Boxing. Because they said is normal, she work fine'! They dosen't know that, they not here to see whant happen with my laptop. Sony product are a Very Poor Quality! Sometimes my computer not accept the internet connection, overheated a lot, frezze uuufff! I lost the number the times, i can't write because when i try to write for example h, the history window open and when a try to going to another web, open another window, dosen't change in the same window. And Sometimes Have problem to Open a browser, have to do a lot a clicks to open and to close is the same. I never have a chance to put my photo, download a video nothing. And my Vaio work Poor than a Cumputer with virus. I sick of Sony, always tell me cheap excuses. I need 100% the repair not a 40 -50%. My Vaio start with the problems 3 week after i buy in March and at the day November i still with a Lemon. :(

Hi! I have the same problem with Sony. I have lot a problems with that tecnican, the service is bad, they dosen't wanted work. For that reason I do a complaint to consumer relations and they sent not 1, 2 technics to my house.They change the Mother Board and the fan, 15 min later the problem come back again. Arrr! After that I call all time, they always said something different, Lies, lies and more lies! My computer start with the same problem after 3 week a buy. I never going to buy A Sony Product anymore and any electronic in " Best Buy" too! At a this Day I still have the same problem with my Laptop. They change "the hardware" in the San Diego, California and said they going to fix in 2 week maybe more, i sent the Sony Vaio 1 oct. and return 8 oct. My Vaio Work fine for 4 days and again with same problem you have with your Vaio. I always going to hate Sony Technic Support . They are very iresponsable! :( Sorry! if u dosen't understand, I don't write to much in inglish but i wanted try because this is someting we have in common And i know how you feel about that.

Sony PS3 scam and fraud

I have received the YLOD ( yellow light of death) recently on my PS3 and researched it to find that this problem has occurred in many, MANY, PS3's and Sony still insists its not a design flaw and requests all those with this to pay to get this fixed ( which means they will actually replace my machine with a new one and i will lose ALL info i have saved to my current one).

Sony Customer harrasment regarding Service

Dear Consumer Compalaint Board Management .

This is to bring to your knowledge that i have been facing lots of problem regarding the service of my sony vaio note book serial no VGN-CS27G /7000510 was given to Lajpat nagar thrice for the same issue there was problem that the note book was processed slow, hanging problem and internet not working .
