Sonic Electronix Service tried to cheat me

Sonic Electronix - SERVICE THAT SUCKS

I bought headphones from Sonic Electronix and paid for the shipment to Malaysia, where I live. I got an e-mail from Sonic confirming that my order would be shipped to Malaysia. However without my consent Sonic sent my headphones to a different country.
All my e-mails were replied by people who seemed to know nothing about my problem and I had to explain what happened over and aver again. It seemed like their task was to blame me in their mistakes and make me pay for it.

I spent a month of everyday e-mailing to make them acknowledge that they changed the delivery address without my consent.
Quote:"We changed the country..."

http://on.fb.me/1anv5CW
Nevertheless they offered me nothing but wait until my order will return to their warehouse (about 60 days). This was the generous offer of the CEO Nathaniel Victor in his e-mail to me! And I would have to pay for the correct shipment one more time! This company is rotten from the lower management to the CEO!
After I had realized that the people in this company do not care about their customers and this was their official policy I started to ask questions on their facebook page. I hope they would be afraid to lie to me publicly.
What did Sonic do? They removed all my comments and blocked me from posting and commenting on their facebook page.

I think they deliver a lot of order to many customers for low prices and this is very good.

But if something goes wrong, your e-mails will be deleted, your time and money will be lost. Customer service just makes joke of the customers. They don't even try to solve the problem and just try to make you walk away - and stay alone with the problem.
They even started to BLACKMAIL me - demanding to remove all my comments from all the social networks in order to for me to get a refund. When I refused, they removed my comments themselves and blocked me from their facebook page. Facebook for them is not a social network, but a highly censored tool of propaganda - all negative comment are deleted by "customer support"
Here are some of my posts that were deleted from Sonic"s facebook page.

Sonic Electronix Refund - NEVER BUY FROM THEM

I purchased the auto remote start from Sonic Electronic on 12/09/11. My order number is 1349099 and 1349004 which include items Viper 4704V ($209.99) and Xpresskit PKALL ($39.99) for my Acura 2010 RDX model.

I had it installed professionally in my car but when everything was done it was not working the technician tried everything even called Sonic Tech Support; it turned out the unit was defective. Nothing was working. In the end the installer had un-install everything because product has defects in it and return back to me.

I called Sonic and they provided me RMA # 85040. I have sent all items back via UPS as directed by Sonic I did not know that Sonic only provided me one item RMA number which was for Xpresskit PKALL ($39.99) but in reality there was two items. I found that out when I called 1/11/2012 to ensure my credit was processed before I reorder another one. Until then Sonic never called me to ask me what happened with this order, I also explained this to Andrew who then told me to wait a few days in the mean time, I can reorder another one. So I did. I ordered the 5904 $364.98. They provided me the wrong labels, with incorrect weight on it. During this conversation Andrew put notes in the system to link another RMA # together to ensure full credit will be issued RMA # 86748 Viper 4704V ($209.99). Now it’s 1/17/2012 – Andrew tells me that they did not receive everything, which is impossible to believe if they claim not all parts were returned how could they have even processed a credit? I also spoke to a Justin who said he can’t do anything about it, that I should have my car checked out make sure it’s not there. On this particular day I wasted an entire day waiting for on the phone to speak to someone, and went to the dealer and they assured me nothing is in the car. When I’ve been saying all along everything was returned. I left a message for Justin, Andrew and Nathan’s secretary and as of today 1/20/2012 I have not received any call back, Great customer service. I also told Justin, if this is how the company scams customers and not provide credit then that is unethical. Still have not heard from anyone. I would not install this new unit until my credit is processed, if this not cleared up then I will definitely file a complaint to BBB, as well consumer complaint board. This is not how you treat customers.

I would like my full credit from Sonic for amount of $249.98. Attach files are documents for proof of purchase and RMA #’S for credit from Sonic. I have highlighted in yellow in items what I purchase and RMA #’S for credit from Sonic.

They will not refund me, because they didn't receive the brain, which is not true...Everything was sent back., What i don't understand is why would i purchase another one. then they called me a liar...I will attach emails...as to how the CEO speaks to a customer...he stands behind the thiefs that work in his company...

Sonic Electronix Stealing and Overcharging

Over the past two months, I visited the same Sonic 8 times. I've ordered Blasts and have been overcharged all but one time. The menu says for a regular size butterfinger blast it is $2.19, but I am charged $2.29 I've brought this to the attention of several carhops, a manger, and general manager(GM) twice!. The fourth instance, the manager and GM were notified and were surprised and said agreed I was right, the price being charged does not match the menu. They apologized and refunded my money. The GM said she would make note of the error and contact Corporate. The following week after this incident I ordered a blast and the price was correct. The next week, I went back, and ordered a blast only to be overcharged again by $.10 I explained to the carhop I was overcharged, that I needed my refund, and that I wanted to speak to the GM (who the carhop said was working that night.) The carhop came out and said they knew about the issue and that she was sorry and refunded my $.10 plus tax. I had to remind them to include tax (1 penny for $.11)! Then the same GM came out and I reminded her of the situation of being overcharged by $.10. She NOW gives a different story. That the computer is right, but the menu is wrong. I asked her to put a PostIt inside the menu to reflect the correct price because it was false advertising by showing cheaper sale price and charging an inflated price. I don't think she understood a word I was saying. She said that she does not have authority to put signs on the menu (eventhough I've seen it done at other Sonics). She said the new menus would reflect the price change.

But I'm weary of this explanation. Why would the carhop tell me they were aware of the situation and error but then GM turn around and say there is no error and the computer is right? The overcharging has been going on for 2 months. In 6 months, there has NOT been a new menu at the Sonic. As a professional, this logic doesn't make any sense. Why would the computer systems be updated to reflect a price change but the menu not be changed at the same time or within a reasonable time frame (less than 2 months) to reflect the increased price? And if the price had been changed in the computer, why would the previous week's blast charge be correct but now wrong again? Very suspicious! The GM "Joanie" did not show any remorse or provide any help in resolving the issue. I made a suggestion to fix the false advertising and she didn't care. I told her it was false advertising, stealing and fleecing, and she gave me a glazed over look (she didn't understand what I was saying.) I said I will have let the local business blog and Corporate be aware of the lack of concern, lack of helpfulness, and the lack of customer service this Sonic and general manager exhibited.

I just would like to know the truth. If the price has gone up, then change the menu or modify the current one. It's been over two months of overcharging. It's not the $.10 I'm so much worried about, it is the principle of the matter. If they can steal $.10, what is to prevent them from stealing $10.00? And if the are overcharging $.10 per blast, if there were 200 blasts sold every day for 30 days, that would total to theft of $600.00!

I would like see and feel customer respect and business ethics. This Sonic is not running business professional or ethically. Poor quality!

Hi there!

I am a regional supervisor for this particular region and I can shed some light on this subject for you. During the time frame that you visited this location, the price you were given was indeed incorrect. The new menu rollout did not occur until December. In September, the new menu items for this particular area had not even been agreed upon yet, so the GM had no way of even knowing what the new prices were going to be.

We have discovered that some stores in this general area seem to have an issue following the instructions that we set forward. For instance, you are being overcharged because they are charging you for the Blast and then charging for the candy. The blast price should have been entered into their system as $1.70 and the candy should be $0.40 to bring the total to $2.19. However, some locations have tampered, not only with the blast and shake pricing to nickel and dime you, but also with the drink add-ins. Drink add-ins are technically free for the first flavor and $0.10 for each additional flavor. Example: A cherry coke should be the same price as a coke.

I'm sorry for your trouble. Please do call them out on it each and every time. Also, remind them that if they don't fix the problem that you would like the number for the store supervisor, not the General Manager. If you speak to the GM's boss then you'll most likely get the issue resolved quite quickly. If they give you some trouble over obtaining this number, then once you finally get it be sure to include that they were reluctant about releasing the supervisor's contact information.

Lastly, never let them tell you they are "contacting corporate" about it. Corporate has nothing to do with most problems that occur in the store. It's just an old standby excuse that gets guests off your back. Always ask for the supervisor's information or call 1-866-OK-SONC and the complaint you file will be left with not only the supervisor, but also the owner (who is unaware of the problem in most cases and will handle it quickity quick for you!).

Hope that all helps!

David

Regional Supervisor
ArkLaMiss Region

We have begun to systematically deal with this issue on the store-level. However, some GM's are particularly resistant to this idea and have had to be corrected multiple times.

Sonic Electronix - Fraud and scam

Do not use this company. SonicElectronix is a scam. I was sold a Jensen unit that used and not new. After installing the product we noticed scratches and the remote as not working. After inspecting the box carefully a disclaimer on the box stating this is unit was opened and not used for Sonic Electronix to use as a display model for there website. When I...

Sonic Electronix scams

I bought 2 Silver Sonic XL for my husband who is only 42 It don't work. Totally crap. Then I noticed every since then they have been taken $14.95 out off my account every month. But it don't stop there. $14.95 every month wasn't enough. SB Savings 2 go also wanted $14.95 every month and took it and IN Prime Savings wanted $16.95 every 2 weeks and took it.. I never heard of any of these. Nor did I authorize any. I'm sure there is a link to all 3 of these scams Notice that they all have the word SAVINGS in their so called title. I am in the process of calling these people, but getting a person on the phone is tough. All I get is a recording. How convenient. These people really need to be stopped. I never authorized any of these deductions. And even more how come there is no paper trail, no statements? Because it's their way of putting the screws to me. I am not a happy person right now. Does anyone know how t get a person on the phone?

Sonic Electronix Unsatisfactory rating with Better Businness Bureau

Do NOT oder from this company! Their prices are low only to hook you into providing payment information. This company is rude, intimidating, and unprofessional. I ordered the Rebel XSi and received an email to call to confirm the order. After taking my security code from the credit card, the saleman pushed additional products, was sarcastic and rude when I asked questions, and refused to give me his name or pass me off to the owner of the company. He wouldn't hold the order or cancel it without charging a restocking fee, even though the camera had not yet been prepared for shipping. He continued to pressure me into buying products with which I was not familiar. During the second phonecall I made to try to talk to another individual, the same man hung up on me. I submitted a complaint to the BBB. You can visit the New York BBB website to read about all the complaints this company has received.

Sonic Electronix Terrible company

First, look at Better Business Web site and then look at the 'RipOFF' web site below which is full of complaints on Sonic Camera: http://www.yelp.com/biz/sonic-cameras-new-york

Never, ever, ever, order anything from this company. They advertise incredibly low camera prices and then invariably refuse to sell what you've ordered online. They use extreme 'bait and switch' tactics to try to sell a different brand at an inflated price. They tried to tell me that Canon 'L' lenses (professional grade) had distorted glass, a plastic housing and broke frequently and that a Sigma Lens was the only one that had a metal housing. I insisted I wanted what I ordered (Canon lens) and was told it was out of stock. I said I can wait a few weeks. I was told it would be 6 months before another would arrive and that the price would double by then and that it would cost $50 for a lens hood (they come in the Canon box for free). Terrible CROOKS and LIARS that should be jailed.

I ordered the HDR-sr12, Sony Camcorder from this company. I asked a two -day delivery, it came on time, two days, However after looking at my billing statement. I noticed they actually charged me $115.92 for over night. After speaking to the supposed owner (Kevin Glass) He refused to set my account right. It seems to me this is how Kevin Glass makes his margins. Rip-OFF ? I don't know another word for it.

I ordered a Nikon D60 online. After I entered my info, the screen would say, cart empty. I called and was asked for the 3 digit code. No problem. Then I was told I needed to order a battery for $149.

The camera doesn't come with a battery? He said, "No" and pushed me to buy one. I explained that would bring the price higher than I could buy the same thing at Best Buy for the same price. He said, "No you can't. I'm a wholesaler. He's a hole something, alright. I told him to cancel the order.

Sonic Electronix Bait and Switch

As other posters have mentioned, this company runs a blatantly illegal bait and switch operation. Received a "confirmation call" a few days before Christmas and was told a Nikon D40 I purchased "did not come with a battery and not buying an extra battery would be a serious mistake". Sounded like garbage, but was told the camera would not be shipped without an additional battery. I agreed under protest, thinking I would later return the extra battery. As it turns out of course, the camera did come with a battery, and we were lied to as expected. Furthermore, an enclosed invoice contained no phone and no reference to "Mark" who sold the camera. Call inquiries to complain have resulted in hang ups after some weak attempts at intimidation (we told the person onthe phone point blank we would contact the Astoria, NY police and report fraud/theft.. which backed them off). To boot, the device they sent me is licensed for sale abroad and we suspect the camera is a knockoff. We will be filing a formal complaint with the NY district attorney's office, as well as canceling the credit card charge and changing our credit card number. We have no doubt these thugs would try to recharge us after a dispute.

In short, do not do business with these people. They will likely be charged with criminal conduct soon enough.

I bought a Digital Rebel XTI for $289.
Then received "the" email stating they wanted to confirm the order.
I waited, after being suprised and Googled the site and was shocked.
A couple days later got a phone call from them stating to call and speak to Mark [protected] x224 to confirm the order. I called and he asked for the last 3 digits of the card and to confirm the shipping address. He then stated the are out of stock and it is discontinued. He then tried to push the XS at more money.
This is the clasic bait and switch crap scam!

Sonic Electronix Unauthorized charges

I recently order a Nikon Camera and lenses online from Sonic. After not receiving a confirmation email, I called the company. They asked for the CCD from my Credit card (which was reasonable). Then they went into their sales mode. They wanted me to pay $135 for the EN-EL3e that would normally be packaged with it from Nikon (retail is about $40). Then they wanted me to buy memory (2GB for $80) and an extended warranty. I declined. They completed the order (or so I thought).

A couple of hours later, I received an email stating that my order was canceled due the item being out of stock but that they would contact me when stock came in if I wanted to reinstate my order. I suspect that since I did not purchase all of their add-ons that they canceled my order. I say that because the camera still showed available on-line. I ended up buying my camera from a more reputable source (at a much higher price).

Don't do business with them... PERIOD! After you try to clarify your order because they send you some b-s email saying to call then...you get transferred to (lack-o) management named Bruce... hang up quick before the insults start and he starts saying f-you and f-that... tells you have no idea what you are talking about ect. I told him my wife is a professional photographer (which she is..) and I was buying her this lens for a birthday present - and he said: 'Your wife is f-ing stupid and has no idea what she wants...' Customer service - WOW!

Sonic Electronix Fraud

12/08/2008 around 4:00 California time called Sonic Camera 3505 Quentin Road, Brooklyn, NY 11234
Their phone number is [protected] ext.226 to place an order Michael answers from the camera department he claims he is a knowledgeble Pro Camera Expert. I had seen there ad regarding a Deal for $899.99 for a Canon XHA1 which I had researched all week excited about this great deal. I ask Michael why this was such a great deal and he said that the camera was pretty much came with nothing but the base and that needed to upgrade battery, charger, and lense. I told if I had ordered the Top Packages that they offered why would I need to purchase the other stuff seperate he said I still needed to buy other stuff to have a full working camera. I listened to see what kind of deal he could put together. We spent some time and the deal he put seemed good! I accepted then Michael asked for my credit card info I gave him the information. Then after recieving information Michael tells me for a little more that I should get the Sony Fx7 for the same price he thinks it would be a better deal that camera has other features that canon can't do that i will love it! The Sony Fx7 is the camera for me and for a little more I should go with it after another hour of listening to this guy giving me switch and bait. I was tired and told I wanna think about he said I don't like return it! I said okey! I call back 10 min. later tell Michael I don't want the Sony Fx7 that I had my Heart set on Canon xhA1. I want to cancel my order! He tells me that he can't do that that I need to send him a cashier of $250. to cancel we go back and forth wanting talk the supervisor then he claims he is the supervisor. He then Bullies me over the phone that I wasted his time! I spent hours getting stressed out by Michael. He refused to cancel the order on a product I did not want! This company should be looked into they have know custemer service. I feel like have been set up for fraud! I canceled my credit card! The credit card company said they all ready made the charge without shipping the product! I later looked up to compare the prices and noticed I was bullied into a Higher purchase of a product I did not want! Michael claim that if I cancel the order he was going to charged me 10%and fee and the returns & exchanges said that in order to charge this first you have to received the product in which I never received. I feel like they this company needs be looked into and that the way they deal with customers is to bully them and insult them over the phone! I should not have to feel like my identy and credit is out there in the open for a bunch of crimals to do what they like and hassel me to what they want. This is not right! I pray there is justice and that the way have been made to feel no one should ever have to go through. Thank you for ready if you need more info please feel free to contact me!

On 31-Oct-08 I ordered two Nikon lenses and filters. On Monday, 3-Nov-08 Sonic Camera called me to ask for a Visa # instead of the AmEx number I had used. After I provided the number they asked me if I wanted to upgrade to the metal mounts - the lenses I had ordered were not for the US and had plastic mounts. I went back to their website - it said nothing about 'non-US' parts. I told Sonic to cancel my order. They informed me that they would charge me 10% for changing my order. I immediately called Visa and will fight these charages.

DO NOT BUY FROM Sonic Cameras. It is a bait and switch operation!

Upon calling as requested below, representative Edward first attempted to instead sell me some non-Canon lense instead of what I ordered.
After I told him I simply wanted the lense I ordered, he told me he would only sell a "grey market" version unless I paid an additional $400+, the order would be cancelled.
When I told hom to cancel the order, he stated, "Well, how about I then charge you a 50% cancellation fee?"
I responded "Try it, you slimeball" and hung up.
The Attorney General and better business bureau will be notified and I will post this incident to help prevent others from dealing with this crooked outfit.

Of course I did some price shopping on-line, I was in fact led to the web-site for sonic cameras by a goggle search for SLR digital cameras. (I'm a little surprised that google continues to promote the site!) I placed an order for a cannon rebel@ 297.99. The next day got a call from a, "mark" requesting I verify my order and give him the 3 digits on the back of my card. He told me the camera was wholesale so there was no battery, that I needed to purchase one for extra money. He also told me that the camera was a discontinued product so Cannon would not warranty it. He talked me into a upgrade, making me feel like I got a deal. Two weeks later I contacted Fed Ex to track my package and was informed that they have not received the product for the retailer. I called sonic cameras and still have not spoken to a person. I just keep getting hung-up on, hows that for customer service...These people make me sick. They make it disheartening to want to purchase on line. If nothing else, it's a hard lesson learned and hopefully word will get around that sonic cameras sucks balls.

Internet search revealed a Canon 40D Camera Body for $319 - way below any other competitive offer. (I should have known it was too good to be true). After ordering I received a call asking for my 3 digit security code on the credit card. Then the sales person explained no battery was included. So when including the battery and charger, the price jumped up to ~$698 - more in line with some other sites I had reviewed. I was annoyed, but went ahead with the order since it was so close to Christmas and I wanted the camera as a gift. I had also ordered a memory card since they had a "special offer" to double the size of the card. I inquired to verify I would be getting the double size and was told that offer only applied to the "Professional Grade" memory. I knew my son had wanted the highest speed memory and when I realized I had not selected the correct memory, I went along with the switch to memory that their web site and the salesperson said was $299. So now my order I originally thought would be about $400 including memory was now up to $928.

I subsequently realized my son wanted the 50D rather than the 40D. So I made plans to swap the camera after Christmas. My son said he did not need the expensive memory. So it looked like I should be able to swap for the 50D without the memory for about the same outlay. Boy was I wrong. When I called back to Sonic, the story changed. Now the story is that the memory is only worth $120 credit rather than $299. (Sonic's invoice cleverly did not break down the price of each part, but listed a single "package" price. ) They wanted an additional $300 above my original $928 or ~$1230 for the 50D without any additional memory. This is way above the competitive price. Also, they required $125 restocking fee. Their web site says they charge a MINIMUM 10% restocking fee. In reality it is $125 or they say, 15%. So I am returning the 40D and paying the outrageous restocking fee. Hopefully I will see a credit on my credit card. If not I will take further action. Bottom line, DO NOT DO BUSINESS with this scam/bait and switch/lying company.

Do not do any business with this company. They are very dishonest and will do anything and everything they can to take your money.

This is what happened to me. I received a confirmation email of my order from them that requires me to call them to confirm. When I called, they said I need 'other' additional items that I refused to buy. At the end, I decided to cancel my order and refuse to do business with them as I don't like to be pushed around. The representative, Michael, was very angry and was going to charge $39.95 for cancellation fees for nothing. He was threatening me when I hung-up. I will make sure they will get nothing from me!

Please investigate this company. They are hurting many innocent and honest people.

This happen to me on 05-05-2009. Talked to the same guy! ordered the camera, lenses, memery card but when I declided the charger option, the order was cancelled! They claimed it was on back order. They wanted 400.00 bucks for the charger but on ebay I found it for 38.00 + shipping. Scam all the way!

I told him to cancel the order.

i had been working for an eos 50d for about 3 months. i finally got enough money to buy it from soniccameras.com. so i went on and ordered the camera, and when it didn't come i called them and they said it had been backordered so i called back about 2 months later and they said it was still backordered. but the truth is they are running a scam, the camera prics are so low because it comes with no charger or batteries. and the charger and batteries from the website costs like $400. so i looked on other websites and the charger + batteries from there was only $50. i called sonic cameras and they said it was becuase it was higher quality (not true). The scam is that if you don't buy the batteries and charger with it, they say it is sold out or back ordered.

Sonic Electronix Scam and thieve!

These people are total scams! I bought a Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 IS lens on April 2, 2008 for $1, 199 with my American Express card and they sent an email confirmation of a four digit number but no confirmation of the amount of money I just spent. The next morning I get a call from a man named Michael at Phone # [protected] ext 222 saying they needed to confirm my order from the night before, which I thought was really weird. Michael proceeds to tell me that they no longer accept American Express and if there was another way for me to pay. I told him that I only use my AMX card for charges and I don't use anything else. So he tried to talk me into doing a C.O.D or pull cash off my credit card. I told him, I will not do that and to forget about my order and cancel it. He said he would cancel it.

I still felt a little leery, so when I got home from work I called AMX and told them my situation and asked them to check if there were any charges from this company on my card. They said there were no charges. I still was not satisfied so I did some digging myself and googled Sonic Cameras and found a whole lot of bad trash of other consumers being scammed. All bad reviews. These people are sick! I did cancel my card with AMX and got fraud protection and they are reissuing me a new card. BEWARE THIS FAKE COMPANY IS A FRAUD! DON'T FALL FOR THERE CHEAPER PRICES LIKE I DID! DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THESE A-HOLES! I also believe they may be doing business by another name called BEST PRICE CAMERA'S the website sites look exactly the same and the prices are exactly the same... WATCH OUT FOR YOUR POCKETS!

I originally ordered a Canon Speedlite 580EX online from Sonic Cameras. I WISH I had read these reviews first, because in true Sonic Camera fashion, I got the same treatment as all of these other customers. I got the email that said to call and confirm your order. When I called he asked if I wanted to buy a battery charger also. I agreed. Then he said what kind of camera do you have? Oh, the metal shoe mount will work much better for that, would you like to switch? I said OK. Then when I got my flash alright and it was switched! To a Sigma 530!

So, I called customer service to ask why it had been switched. He said you asked for it. I said I NEVER asked for a Sigma flash, I ordered a Canon flash. And his response was "I find it very ODD that you are calling 9 days later!" At that point I said "is this CUSTOMER SERVICE?, could I please speak to your manager, you are being very rude?" He said no. I don't have one. I asked again and he said "I own this place". I said "well then I won't be buying anything else from you". He said "FINE!" I will be reporting this to the BBB.

I am currently doing battle with this scam company. The same thing happened to me as the other folks. I plan on filing a complaint with the NY Attorney General's office about this company and their illegal actions. I have also put my credit card charge into dispute and will have a screaming match in the next few hours with customer service. At http://www.resellerratings.com/ you will find 75 other people with much the same complaints against this online store. STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE. This is a scam operation!

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH WWW.SONICCAMERAS.COM (NOTE THE PLURAL OF CAMERA AT THE END TO GET THE CORRECT ADDRESS).

My experience with Sonic Camera's is the same as everybody elses. I just wanted the Canon 40D. I originally purchased it from ShopDigitalDirect(another scam company) and once the order was placed, I could not get through to them so I sent them an email and cancelled my order. I then went to Sonic Camera for the same item and found it for 319 plus 219 for the 28-135 IS USM Canon lens. When I called in to "verify" my order, it took 4 people and 20 minutes before someone could help me, then, I asked if they had the camera and lens in. They said yes. When I told them that I was not interested in purchasing the battery and charger b/c it was way overpriced, they all of a sudden did not have the camera in stock and said that it would be 4-6 weeks before it came in. Their USA warranty - it was with Sonic for parts only. Shoot, what's the difference b/w that and toilet paper, got me right now after reading all the other posts by others. I will be checking my cc to see if additional things have been added from others and dispute them. the next day i received an email from them stating that they are going to be putting me on a wait list until the camera comes in stock. No thank you. I cancelled my order when they said that the camera had no battery, no charger, no software or firmware. Sounds shabby to me. Stay away from. They would have been glad to sell me the "upgraded" kit for 1099.99. I turned them down! Stay away as the others have found out too!

DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE PEOPLE! I should have known...
Of course they are very inviting due to their low prices. If you order online, you then have to CALL them to confirm your order, at which point they try to make you feel like an idiot and push you into order a million things that "aren't included". Batteries, chargers etc. They tried to tell me that the camera I was purchasing did not use the same batteries as another one of my Canon's and also needed a different type of charger!

So, I placed the order, reluctantly, and moved on. Well, after about an hour of thinking I decided to call them back to change the order, upgrade to a different body and get rid of all of the extras they had pushed on me. At that time, according to them, the order had already been send to be shipped ( I had requested and paid for overnight) so I was UNABLE to change my order. I would have to wait until I received the package, call back and return it.. at which point I am now having to pay $200 in restocking! what the heck?

Not only did it not get here the next day, when I called to take care of this, the supposed manager kept pushing me off asking me, "well, if this wasn't the camera you wanted, why did you order it?" I said, well, I'm pretty sure people change their mind! Jeez. So after quite a heated conversation he pushed me off saying he had A LOT of other people waiting on the line and let's just hurry up and move on with our lives! Oh My God.. I have never had someone treat me like this who is supposed to be doing customer service.

So PLEASE DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM!

My wife said i could get a new camera for my 40th birthday so i stated searching around for a cannon mark2 5d. I came across sonic cameras and saw what I thouhgt was a great deal. When i called the salesman told me the camera was on sale for 1699 but the sale was going to be over soon. I begged my wife and she gave in unfortunatley. When I called back he told me i needed a memory card, charger, and battery. when I asked him for a cannon 24-105 lens he talked me into a sigma 28-300 which he said was 1299. About a mounth later the lens lock stoped working so I tried contacting soni, and there phones are down, and there seems to be no email that works. So I tried contacting sigma, which by the way no one answeres there either so i happened to search around there sight to look at the same lens that sonic said was 1299.00 and found that retail was 400.00$$.I beleive they cornholed me on the lens charger and everything else they said I needed. They are scammers and will suck you in on what you think is a good deal, and then cornhole you hard with no lube on the back side. Growing up in miami I should know all the scams, but I wasso excited to get such a bad ### camera for my 40th birthday I wasnt doing all my other homework on the other items he was ripping me off on.

While trying to confirm an order over the phone an employee who said he was the supervisor deliberately lied to me about the product I was ordering in order to get me to purchase more accessories. In the end my order was canceled by this Supervisor because I wouldn't buy the extra accessories. He was extremely rude and what he was doing was illegal.

Last fall I ordered a camera from Sonic Cameras of which when I placed the order on line, they called me to verify the order. I had only ordered the camera body and a lens. When they got me on the phone and ended up getting me to change lenses and to order a battery and the charger. Later I found out that it was at a much higher price than what I could have purchased at Best Buy. The customer service rep that I talked to was very pushy I tried to call them back after I found out that information but no one ever answered the phone and it went to an answering machine that obviously was never updated. The camera and lens did come and it seems to work fine. It was not the Canon warranty which was not disclosed anywhere on the website nor was it mentioned when they tried to pressure me into purchasing the extended warranty. I have been extremely careful with the camera as I did not know if was gray market or what.
