i was employed with sonic drive in i had many years experience in management. i took this job thinking it was a a new experience. was i wrong the whole time i was there i was harrassed by the generalmanager. she was loud and mean talked about her sex life with employees who were minors. she had been a manager here 25 years yet she acted like a high school kid picking on the unpopular kids. i spent over 20 years as a manager for companys such as pizza hut and burger king. never once was i treated like i was at sonic. what a horrible company to be employed by

Went to Sonic and ordered two orders of the 6 piece boneless wings. Came out as a 12 piece and as it was for two different people, I asked to please put in two containers. That was done, but no forks were received with the order. Also ordered popcorn chicken and mozzarella sticks. Did not get the mozzarella sticks and had to ask for them. That isn't a real big deal but as we had gone through the drive in we left. The boneless wings were either still frozen or raw. Just writing about them makes me gag and I doubt I will ever eat a boneless wing again as I cannot get the sound of how they cracked when I ate them and the look of them when I actually cut one in half to see what was going on out of my mind. So the child with popcorn chicken said, I don't want my chicken so you can have it. No wonder she didn't want it. It was so overcooked and dry you could hardly chew it and I didn't really find any "chicken" in the pieces. It was like fried leather. Slushes were refreshing though.

I came to sonic tonight for their half price shakes, I didn't get one. I had gotten there before they went on sale. So I got myself a sandwich instead, and my little girl some fries. When the girl bought my order out she at first seemed nice but however she became unfriendly. Her smile faded and she was very short with me, and I felt very rushed with how she handed me my order. I have been there a few times and haven't had that happen before so I was very taken back by this. I didn't tip the young lady do to this, and I am glad I didn't because when I got home I found my order to not be correct. The sandwich I order didn't have all I wanted on it, but it was still good. However that young girl was worse than my mess up. I can not remember her name I just know she had light brown hair and dark eyes. I hope the next time I decided to come back I do not have that type of service again.

Richard The little, Ooops! I mean height impared manager from the Edinburg, Texas Sonic Drive In store failed to pay ME! A former low income family employee. I was a cook and when I went to pick up my last check he failed to hand it to me. Instead evading me and plain out juss disrepecting me by, his rude comments like, "You can do whatever you want!" I feel he should be fired and prosecuted. Failure To Do So Will Result In Legal Action! I feel I should be repremanded for my hours of service and expenses lost during my time of employment.

I went to this establishment and had 5 people in the car for free slushies and the manager told me that it was one per customer. We ordered food and while we were waiting it was noticed that Anglo Saxons that requested more than one slushy were given that benefit while Spanish people were given the one per customer line. Inclusively, after we paid for our food via debit card they tried to charge us again. We informed the server that we paid via a card and requested him to go in and verify. After 45 minutes I went to inquire if payment was received and the manager acted like I posed a threat. I will certainly post this interaction up on Face book and warn other Hispanics about this particular Sonic's protocol in dealing with customers.I don't think they need us as customers.

Have a complaint about store 5810 lake ave st. Joseph, mo.
The general manager james has his fiance courtney working under him previously as crew but recently bumped her to crew leader. James is disrespectful to the girls that work as carhops. James also lets his fiance courtney have the days off that other people have requested of. He also has students working late nights (After 10 pm) on school nights and also has them working more then 30 hours a week. I highly recommend something gets done.

This # had the nerve to get my drink wrong! One, I takes 30 minutes for 2 drinks and some cheese sticks. So, they walk out to the car. Te girl says "rasberry" I said "no ma'am it's supposed to be strawberry.
"oh it is..."
I take it, then I read the ticket. It says rasberry! I was mad. I asked her to fix it. Takes 10 mintutes to fix one drink! Then I get it... And no freakin' ice! I'm mad! I want to cuss at them. Please fix it.
Love, erin leanna.

I had one of the rudest customer service experience in my life at Sonic in Avon, IN. I don't know what the lady's deal was, but she sighed rudely before answering my questions. She cut me off in the middle of me talking so I ended up just driving away. Why would I stay and pay for people to disrespect me like that! I went to White Castle instead.

I was laid off due to "lack of communication" and I when I tried picking up my last pay check the store manager Richard was never In store. I don’t know why if it's his responsibility to make sure store was properly closed; instead he had a woman assistant close for him most of the time. I wasted gas money and time contacting him on the phone and traveling to the store. If I'm not mistaken the procedure on a failure to pick up check is for the "Store Manager" to send it to that employees contact address. He failed to do so. Now it’s two years later and I recently contacted the Edinburg store on West University, Richard the store manager called me a liar and rudely told me to "Do Whatever I Want". Which infuriated me and I ended up walking out the store without getting the issue resolved.

Tonight I went to this sonic in my home town and I was the only car there and I put my order in and after I did some more cars arrived. While I was waited the car hop brought the food to the car next to me and than she took food to the second car. They were slow and the shakes were malts and that is NOT what I order. The shake had malt powder in them and the shake/malts were nasty. The 2 other cars that arrived after I was there didnt have a call in order cause I watched them and they order from the box, and they got there food before I did. Thats not right.

eThis is one of many complaints I have with the Early Sonic Drive In. This time I ordered a chili cheese coney with mustard. As soon as she took my order a girl was walking out with my order. Of course the bun was hard as a rock and the cheese had been on so long it looked like plastic. Mustard was squirted all over the top. The coney was obviously old. This is not the first time nor the second or third time. I have tried to call to make a complaint and the phone has been busy for over 45 minutes. I did call the Brownwood location on Commerce and made a complaint with Donna. We will see if any thing changes. I love Sonic food and will continue to visit the 2 locations in Brownwood, but don't care to go to the Early location any more. That is a sad thing too. I am not the only one. We have over 30 employees and word does get around.

While I have not worked there long I have seen a few things that worry me. Heber Springs sonic drive in is a great place. Most the managers are nice and know what they are doing. However I keep being harassed by a fellow coworker. Ill call him Joe. Joe constantly makes fun of me and bad mouths me. Then when i try to stand up for myself he gets in my face and becomes confrontational. The one time i went to a manager nothing happened. He was supposed to get a wright up and he made a threat to put in his two weeks notice. Two months passed and he still works there. And for standing up for myself i received a wright up. Which I signed. He has even pulled a knife on some one. He was fired and then rehired a short time later. Sense then he has brandished another knife at some one and has not received so much as a wright up. People do not even go to the management anymore. Why do so when he just gets a slap on the wrist and starts targeting you more. And to make things worse im not the only one. Just yesterday he got in a confrontation with another employe Ill call him "Jim". Jim was fired over this and "Joe" didn't even get a wright up. This is a hostile work environment. I want to work. But "Joe" is making my work life a living hell. Please someone from Hr or corporate help. Im afraid if i post my name on this i might get fired. So you can call me. "Reba"

the service is inconsitent, one eveing thier fast and friendly the other thier slow and rude. Twice in one week i had to change my order because of inventry issuses once they even made me wait 30 minutes while someone ran to the local store to buy bannanas. the carhops never have the correct change and often times short or over change you. the food is hardly perpared well most times when you do get youe order right. i wish that this sonic ran like the One in ALbuqerque where things were quick frienldy and spotless in aperance and presentation

This particular Sonic has the worst CSR. All of the employees and I mean all of them have bad attitudes. They come on the speaker and talk so fast you can't understand what they are saying. When you order they are rushing you off the speaker. For example: I was there on Monday Sept. 7, 2017 and this is what I experienced. Customer: I would like to have a #1 with everything except onions please, Sonic Worker: Is that it? Customer: No, I want tots and a coke, Sonic Worker: Is that it?, Customer: No, I want a grilled chicken wrap, Sonic worker: Is that it? Customer: No, I want a large coke and a cup of ice, Sonic Worker: Your total is, $11.21. When the sonic worker came to the car with my food she had and attitude on her face, literally shoved the food in the car. Never said hello thank you or nothing. I proceded around to the front so that I could get the complaint number and the sonic worker came on the speaker and shouted out the number to me in front of everyone. Then asked me if I got it. I thought this was very, very tacky and unprofessional. This has not been the first time I have been treated that way at this sonic. Something needs to be done. And if the coporate office won't do anything I will take it higher and go to the media.

I was just over there eating and there was a conversation being had that was not appropriate in front of my family.i was sitting at the stall enjoying my burger and this rather rude carhop (i found out her name is cory)was on her cell phone cussing around and saying some pretty vulgar things right out in the parking area as if no one could hear her..i spoke to the manager on duty and she was a manager in training and didn't know what to say to me her name was april.. i am sick and tired of this staff at this sonic ever since it took over new management it has gone to the dogs and i hate it cause i enjoy going here...

Well, I wanted to tell her to take it off the menu board as containing yogurt... Just lost $3.00 in the process... Was so angry I wouldn't take a refund due to snotty response from employee

I am very disappointed in the Sonics Drive In located in Central, LA. You would think that a business that mostly employees a lot of high school children would be a great place for your child to start his or her first job, but its not. The children are mistreated, they don't have descent crew leaders to supervise them. The crew leaders and managers are all under the age of 25. There handbook for guidelines and rules are not being followed, and are mostly broken by the crew leaders/managers. The managers have their family members and friends who are not on the payroll for carhopping at Sonic and making tips. The family and friends come their and make the tips the kids come to work to make. These children are not being properly trained to work, but are mistreated and are not treated equally. One of the supervisors comes in and talk on her cell all day, and when she is not doing that she is outside smoking. Sometime she will leave and call back and ask the manager on shift at the time to clock her out. I think its great how she is teaching the kids to cheat the system. The employed students are told they have to pay for their lunch but the supervisors munch and eat all day for free, and their family members eat free too. The managers bring their toddlers there to distribute condiments, and the babies are tip for this. I didn't know babies could even be on the work site. They curse the kids that work for them and treat them with great disrespect and the customers as well. They are rude and unpleasant managers/crew leaders. They are always right and the customer is always wrong and mistreated. If the children call in sick for missing one day they have to go to the doctors and get an excuse. If they don't come with an doctors excuse they will be written up or fired. However this rule doesn't apply to everyone it depends on how much they like you. If the kids disagree with them they will find away to fire them, or make their life so miserable they will quit. The children quit not because they want to, but because they are treated so unfairly. This Sonic doesn't help our children at all, but it makes them fear their superiors. I don't know if all the Sonics are like this, but the Sonic in Central LA is very cruel to our kids and their customers. There have been many complaints made about the dissatisfaction of the food and service but nothing has been done to correct this problem and nothing will be done. I just telling my story, and making a complaint on behalf of my child. My child came home many days in tears, and angry. One time he was so upset he made his self sick and threw up for hours. He is no longer employed with Sonic but has a better job with Chick Fil A, with a supervisor who is 32 years of age, and crew leaders who are in college. Trust me it makes a difference.

I called the hotline for Sonic just a month ago, because since they changed management or ownership of the one in Homer, the service has been horrible. I along with others have orderd food and it is never correct. All I got from Sonic complaint is a card for a free burger. Who wants to use it, they wouldn't get it right anyway. Tuesday morning I went back, thinking okay another chance. I was the only customer at the time of the order. I ordered a bacon, egg, cheese breakfast burrito. Got my order and handed the carhop $20. and what ever change it was. She only gave me $6.00 back and I had to correct it should be $16.00. She gave that to me. I then went to work. Got to my office and bit into the burrito. Guess what it was a Sausage, Egg, Cheese. I don't like sausage. They can't even get it right with only one customer. Someone needs to do something. This is sad. It is one of a few places to eat in Homer and it is like the company does not even care.

i am not sure what to do about our manager. I worked at a different sonic before and we were never treated this poorly. He constantly yells, calls girls ###, makes fun of us when we ask for change and harrasses the girls by touching their lower backs. on halloween he put his arm around me for a picture and squeezed my side. I just got back from the ER and it turns out I have stress ulcers. They would not let me leave sonic even though I was crying in pain. Turns out the outside lining of my stomach was burnt off due to stress. I don't want to lose my job, but I don't know if I can handle the abuse by our manager anymore and the favortism. If he likes you and you flirt with him, he wil give you a lot of hours. otherwise, he wont give you hours and say its the main company that doesnt want him giving people too many hours.

Why do you care if they come over and buy ice cream from EXXON? If you have ice cream to sell, you're suppose to sell it. Doesn't matter where the customers come from.

Early Sonic in Early, Tx is the worst Sonic I have been to and I have been to a lot of Sonics. While waiting for my order (just a drink) at the drive through, the young lady(?) at the window was talking extremely loud to her co-worker and using some very unladylike words. I waited at the window while she yelled at someone inside with her that he was a P****Y. WOW. This is not the first time I have been totally appalled at the employees and service at this particular Sonic. One day as I drove through the drive thru, I noticed two small children, looked to be a toddler and preschooler, playing on some big rocks right next to a very, very busy highway (the main road going through our town). The children were dangerously close to the road. I pulled up to the window and asked the man that handed me my drink if he knew who those kids belonged to. He stated that they were his but he was keeping an eye on them. Really? what good is keeping an eye on them when he has to walk around the counter and out a side door and then run across the parking lot just to save his kid if he wandered into the street. I found out that this was the manager of the Sonic.

First off, it would cost you more money to change the order because strawberry is more than rasberry. Because it is real fruit...she propably would of just had them make it and you not pay extra, also it took long because they were busy. Im sure happy hour or this wouldn't have happened. Second off im sure it wasnt all her fault. one person isnt responsible for taking your order, making your drink, cooking your food, bagging and delivering...now is it? And she was trying the best she could im sure while your setting in your car demanding. If anyone was being a bit like a female dog...you should have put down your visor and looked in the mirror. I think its funny how customers rage and cuss at a employee and than act surprised when they cuss back, laugh in your face, tell you to leave or like I would just drop your drink and order on the ground and walk away. I wouldnt mind paying for that justice.

I have my own complaint. I just went to our local sonic in Green Forest AR where I was informed that they could not put chili and cheese over my onion rings. I know that is lie. Any sonic I have been to has always been able to put chili and cheese on anything that I have asked them too. My neighbor told me she got chili and cheese over her onion rings just last night. On a separate note, when I worked at Exxon, EVERY SINGLE WEEKEND THE PEOPLE AT SONIC WOULD TELL THEIR CUSTOMERS THAT THE ICE CREAM MACHINE WAS BROKEN AND REFER THEM TO EXXON TO GET ICE CREAM. THIS WENT ON FOR MONTHS AND MONTHS! Some how though, it was only on the night shift. During the day the ice cream machine miraculously healed itself.

ok i am a low level red shirt employee and yes i agree she shouldnt have been short with you, but do you know how much we put up with everyday were in the age range of 16 to 19 and we have grown adults yelling at us cussing at us because maybe our sweet tea was too sweat or our route 44 cup is too large or they think they shouldnt have to pay for extra chili or cheese. i had someone come in yesterday yelled at a carhop who was just trying to take there order we started cooking their food immediately hadnt even been 2 minutes before he called bac in saying i dont have all damn day. less than a minute later we had it out to him and in the probably 45 seconds time he drove off. were kids we work 7 sometimes 8 hour shifts at a time no breaks no sitting down constantly moving some of us on skates were tired because most of us try to go to school and work a 40 hour week and to have people degrade us and talk down to us because we needed a job and had to start somewhere is a little stressful at times. im sorry that it came out on you but if you would just please bare in mind the way we get treated wed appreciate it. someone threw there garbage literally at me while i was sweeping the lot the other day got slush all over my uniform slush stains those uniforms come out of our paycheck and we only make 3.13 an hour so possibly the girl just had an experience like that and was trying to calm down after being treated like she was worthless.

The Sonic in Brazoria Texas apparently let girls lie about their age, and work for the Sonic there. It is my understanding that a girl has to be at least 16 yrs old to work there, and I understand why, but apparently they hire 14 yrs olds. I am not sure if the girl lied on her application or they do not check out and verify their ages. A 14 yrs old has no business working, period. Especially one who is still on probabtion, and fresh out of Juvenile Detention. Where is the mother of this kid, is she okay with this, apparently she is.
