I went to visit Dr. Anthony Payan at his office Soft Tissue Therapy and was told that my insurance would be billed for the services rendered. The services were nothing more than glorified chiropractic and the bills were astronomical! I paid much more to a chiropractor than to an MD! I left feeling worse than when I walked through the door. Then I was scheduled more appointments that would cost even more...I was then "prescribed" herbs that anyone could buy in Walgreens...beware!

I was soooo impressed with the dramatic improvement my son experienced after seeing Dr Payan for just 2 treatments. We're a few years in to a series of sports injuries. This is the first time my son has been able to play hard and well in a tournament without pain just 3 days after a significant knee strain! I work in healthcare and usually just head to the Ortho MD. No more, I'm a convert. Dr Payan is going to be getting a lot of business from our family. Dr Payan AND his profession is our first choice from now on! We paid about $20 per visit after insurance.

I have no idea what the original complainant was on about. Dr Payan's knowledge is top shelf and he has a Medical Doctor on staff. With my insurance each visit costs me no more than 30 dollars, which seems extremely cheap for the service. Also; deep tissue massage hurts as the tension is released, but works like nothing else. Maybe the complainant should try again elsewhere as I don't think they'll find better.

I just became aware of this blog. Our office is very clear as to our charges for service. We pride ourselves in providing the very best for our patients and will work with them if they have financial difficulies. Treatments are not more expensive after the initial history, examination and treatment. So this person is fabricating. Also, we do not sell "herbs" and have an MD who is able to prescribe pain and anti-inflammatory medicine when appropriate. Apparently it is easier for this person to slander behind the shield of a keyboard than communicate openly and honestly.

first line above is missing a word - should have read
"I'm very familiar with chiropractic and HOW it works."

I'm very familiar with chiropractic and it works. A chiropractor is also just as educated as a medical doctor, so why are you talking about costs? Chiropractors go through just as much schooling and have the same amount of student debt. Why look differently upon the two healthcare professions? A chiropractor can fix you whereas the MD is probably going to just prescribe unncessary medications which will harm you. I do not know how much the doctor charged you and therefore cannot give you an insight as to whether or not you were overcharged. However, chiropractic is so worth it and it's an investment in your health. You must go several times in the beginning and as you make progress, the visits spread out. Think of orthodontics - you don't wear braces for a few days and then say you're fixed. Why are you feeling worse? You should drink water afterwards and you need to relax. Your body may be accustomed to being "out" and therefore, you may have a reaction, but it won't be forever. Talk to your doctor first as opposed to posting complaints online. I think too many people type away, but talking is best so they know your concerns and may be able to rectify things.
Best wishes for health and happiness!
PS- I have no idea who the doctor is you have seen, but I know chiropractic works and therefore, will continue to support it. Go chiropractic! The power that made the body, heals the body.
