I received a letter from UK Borders Agency who are Her Majesty's Customs & Revenue asking me to send details of where I purchased the UGG boots from, these boots had been seized at the port due to the boots being FAKE! Luckly they are not pressing any charges against me as I have had to send permission to HM Customs to destroy these boots. I have contacted SNUG AUSTRALIA to explain this and have asked for my money back but have had no reply. A note to everyone "DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY OR YOU WILL LOSE MONEY"

i bought my ugg boots from snug in australia in 2010 and they are genuine australian sheep skin made in australia.
When you mean fake, do you mean they are not UGG boots as the "logo" you know that a US company bought to have boots produced in china very very cheaply and sell them for a lot of money just because of the logo?
It depends what you consider fake, genuinely made sheepskin boots made in Australia or UGG boots made in China that have a US logo on them?

I recently purchased Ugg boots for my mother fron Snug Australia and as a result have recently received a demand for Excise duty for £55-70! There is no mention on their site of this. I could have got a genuine pair of Uggs in this country far cheaper.

I have placed an order on Jan 17th and got a tracking number from Snug Australia which is fake. The customer service does not answer the phone and they do not reply to emails.
I've lost 238 $US and do not know how to get moeny back.

I think my uggs i recieved off the internet are fake! The label on the back is not genuine and they stink of cat pee. I paid £120 for them and am not happy about this.

I should read all theses comments before, because I lost 77 euro because of duty taxe while it wasn't written on the site !
Excuse me for my english, i m french, and very very angry because of snug australia. Moreover, my boots are too talls and it's not real uggs but "chic empire"...

Bought pair Snug Australia moccasin slippers, two-tone, a year ago. Within 10 days the eyelets had fallen out and Sheepskin fur was oozing out, the seams had split. I emailed photographs, was told no replacement as 'makers' could not supply! I've always previously bought from Snug Australia official site, for many years now and this was my first problem. The slippers had arrived in a plastic bag, no proper Snug Au.official tags. I could only assume that the company buys huge amounts, simply distributes from warehouses in different countries (I had spent quite a lot over the years with the company and this was the first time I was not charged Import Tax, as delivery not from Australia) and does not take complaints seriously from genuine customers as the business is large and thriving.

YES THEY ARE 100% FAKE - I also bought these boots, they smell terrible (a chemical smell just like fake boots I once bought from china), and the leg size is very small, as the fitting was so bad I have returned them TO snug AUSTRALIA, I had to pay £16.00 postage to return them, and the Company have now also deducted another 20% service charge, only to now be sent a TNT import request for £34.75 for importing boots supposedly worth over £18.00, these fakes are not worth more then a fiver! And as I don't even have them any more I do not think I should have to pay.
So In addition to the original postage I had to pay of £20, the return postage of £16.00 and the import charge of £34.75, as well as the 20% that they are going to deduct of approx £20, these FAKE boots that I no longer have, have cost me £90.75, even though I have returned them, and will get a small refund!

I am from the UK and I bought two pairs of Snug Australia short boots at Xmas (less than 2 months ago) for my daughter and niece and they both complained that the inside back heel area is rubbing and chafing and my niece actually drew blood. These snug Australia boots are just not fit for purpose. I wrote to them and they said: " Since the boots were purchased in December of last year they are no longer covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.
However, we can try to forward them to the manufacturer for assessment if the boots are returned. If the manufacturer accepts the boots for assessment and if they are found to be faulty they will be repaired free of charge.
If the manufacturer refuses to accept the boots for assessment we will have to send them
back and additional shipping costs will apply."

...So who in their right mind would pay out more money to ship them back to Australia when they say there is a possibility they will refuse to repair them and then I would have to pay yet more money to ship them back! I am pretty sure they have consumer laws in Australia just as much as in the UK so will be doing some investigation in a bid to find some answers to my legal rights.

I didn't like the quality (or lack of it) when the boots first arrived as they were extremely lightweight and looked cheaply made when compared to uGg boots I bought in the UK. I hope people in the UK read this and are not tempted to buy any from this company.

Hi everyone, I'm from Spain.
I have been trying to contact Snug Australia about my problem with the two pairs of Uggs I got from their website, but I always ended up putting it off and in the beginning I thought it was something normal on Uggs.
I got them around 3 and 2 years ago and I absolutely adore them except for the fact that they were very slippery from the beginning on wet ground, even on slighty wet ground (on most types of ground). I heard this happens with any Ugg boots when there is obviously some ice or snow, but not on wet ground, especially when it's not VERY wet. I live in North Spain, so we don't get ice or snow here. As I said I bought two pairs, and the second ones (the classic short black ones, the ones that are my favorite) are the ones that are SUPER slippery.
I will wear them and if it starts to rain and the ground gets just a little wet my Uggs look like ice Skates on most types of ground. I had a few falls for this reason.
I have seen girls wearing fake Uggs and walking on wet grounds with no problems at all, while I was trying not to lose my balance and fall.
I emailed Snug Australia about this 2 days ago asking for another free pair. They just replied saying this :
"The boots that were made 2 or 3 years ago came with EVA soles, which is a
light weight and durable material. This type of soles are the standard soles used for ugg boots.
With wear the grooves in the soles can wear down and they can become more
slippery. This is not considered as a fault. We now use EVA soles that have more rubber content for our Deluxe Classic Uggs, which provide more grip. If you wish to place a new order, as a good will gesture we have issued a
discount coupon for you that will give you a 5% discount in addition to the
Customer Loyalty discount you will receive automatically."

So they still want me to buy another pair offering me just a 5% discount! Amazing! I wouldn't buy from this website again, no matter if they are cheaper than on other websites. I would buy the ones sold in the USA, no matter if they are made in China. The reason why I bought on Snug Australia is because they were MADE in Australia, but I found then way too cheap, which was a bit suspicious.
Did anyone have the same problem with these "Uggs"?

Haha, what are you calling the REAL UGGs? The Chinese made American ones? Snugs are made in Australia and ARE real uggs. UGG Australia is made in China and ARE NOT real uggs.

What is a "fake ugg"? Anything NOT made by UggAustralia? But if thats the case then "real uggs" that are made by Ugg Australia (an American company are actually made in China and distributed all over the world. What you got sent are uggs (not sure of what quality) but uggs that are made by a small Australian company in Australia. Obviously the branding is not the same b/c they don't have the money as UGG Australia do do market or brand themselves. But i'm sure the quaility is ok.

by the way the cat pee thing is pretty unusual i have to say, but funny at the same time. I would write a complaint to Snug and ask them to send another pair.

I too have just realised that my Snug boots are not real Ugg boots. However, I have had them for over a year now, and they are still gorgeous and look like new. The sole isn't wearing so well, they are very light-weight and the logo doesn't have a bigger 'G' in the middle of the word Ugg, but apart from that I have been happily wearing them under the delusion that they are Uggs. I can't remember how much I paid for them, but it was probably around £80, and thought that was around the right price.

snugaustraliauggboots.com.au is not a legite website. My story:

I'm from The Netherlands and I've ordered one pair of Button Wraps Ugg Boots - Chestnut on the 4th of januari 2010 at the site:snugaustraliauggboots.com.au. The order total on my bill was 140, 68euro The same day snugaustraliauggboots debited my creditcard for 154, 80euro. They use a different rate of exchange on the site. I send them a e-mail with my complains but i received no reply. After 19 day's the status of my order switched tot 'dispatch' another 16 days later i received my order. The boots were wrapped in a plastic bag and i have to pay another 48, 80 for customs and tax. totaly i've payd 154, 80 + 48, 80 = 203, 60 euro

In Holland the real Button Wraps Ugg Boots are 200 euro.

I've payd a few bucks to much and received...

FAKE UGGS from snugaustraliauggboots.com.au
They look cheap, they feel cheap, they walk cheap, they smell cheap, they ARE cheap!

Never snugaustraliauggboots.com.au for me again! a shame for Australia!

Sorry to hear your dilemma. Your boots are 100% fake. Same thing happened to me. To be sure of buying genuine uggs, you need to go on their official website for a list of authorised online retailers and authorised retail stores - the web address is wwwuggaustralia.com . Also spread the word among your friends warning them about the www.snugaustralia.com.au scam

Try making a complaint with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission - their web address is www.accc.gov.au and complete a complaint form. I was defrauded out of Aus$160 for their trashy fake uggs. I am also thinking of getting the police to pay Snug Australia a visit at the address on their website
