Lane Home Furniture couch from big lots

I love the couch I purchased from Big lots. The leather is holding up well and I love how much cushion it has. However, the seat portion is sliding back and it is as if you are sitting on a wood plank. Also, one end of the couch has completely broken, when we tried to repair it, we see that the entire couch is built with 1x2 boards...no support at all. It is near beyond repair. We have done what we could to make it usable but hope that there is some sort of warranty on it
I would love a refund. I am not sure that a replacement would save me any heartache. (I paid 299.00)

Lane Home Furniture sofa, loveseat & recliner

On November 16, 2015 I purchased: (Delivered Jan.1, 2016)
1 Double reclining sofa #310-39
1 Double reclining loveseat #310-29
1 Rocker recliner #210-98
I also purchased the extended warrant for all 3 pieces. I chose "Lane" because of its reputation of quality furniture. My problems began on the day of delivery. Unfortunately all of the pieces were NOT what I ordered. 2nd delivery came late that day. Not Happy! In 3 short months the cushions began to sag. I called the store where I purchased from and they started the phone calls with Lane. Every week I got the run around that Lane hadn't returned their calls. I asked for the number to call myself but was refused. After 5 months a SAW technician called to set an appointment to assess the problems. He was very rude and judgmental and said the sofa was made to specs (and that it wouldn't sustain body weight over 150 lbs) but the loveseat did show signs of sagging. 3 weeks later cushions arrived but I had no contact info on Chris. Back to the store for help in contacting the technician. Made a complaint about Chris and requested another technician. More delays and non-returned phone calls a new technician showed up and was appalled at the condition of the foam cushions he was now replacing. Refer to the photo of the old vs new cushions. Frustrated I even asked for either my full purchase price or new furniture but was declined. Needless to say, I will NEVER buy anything that is associated with the Lane Furniture Companies, and I urge you to boycott them as well.

Lane Home Furniture "glid" serial #[protected]

In late 2014, my mother purchased, on my recommendation, a recliner/rocker/swivel chair identified on the slip attached to the chair as a "glid." Other information on the slip is:
Our order number 547554
Customer order number 110134
Serial number [protected]
Ship date 12/4/13

The chair was fine for quite a while, but in the past six months, I have had a lot of problems with the reclining mechanism. The left side of the seat has begun to sag, and the supporting pegs, which are very small, have cracked. We replaced the pegs, which required separating the chair from the base, not an easy undertaking.
Less than six weeks later, the pegs again needed replacing, and we added supporting braces. Two weeks ago, the braces cracked.
I have been using the chair properly, with none of the usual behaviors that might damage it. This chair is very important to me, as it was the only chair my mother used between the purchase and her death.
Although I would very much like a replacement, I know that is unlikely because of the chair's age, but I would appreciate at minimum a recommendation for a facility that may be able to repair this chair more effectively, at no charge to me.
Thank you.

Lane Home Furniture "leather" loveseat

We purchased an electric reclining Loveseat & Sofa about 5 years ago from a local furniture store. A couple months ago we started to notice the material peeling away on the Loveseat. The Sofa has not shown any of this wear yet. I have contracted Lane and they said it was not under warranty anymore (ref. # _00DC0Pg4i._5001A1ItcWC:ref). When we were sold this furniture they did tell us that it wasn't leather but a very durable material. We were told it would not scratch by pets (we don't even have pets, just children) and could be lightly wiped down if necessary. Besides the peeling of the material this furniture has been great. Soon the Loveseat will look so bad that we will need to replace it and it won't be with a Lane product due to the lack of responsibility for the products they sell.

Lane Home Furniture lane "leather"?? dual reclining loveseat.

I purchased a Lane dual reclining leather love seat a few years ago and it has started peeling. I thought I had purchased a leather coach from a reputable manufacturer and was quite shock when this started happening.
I also own 2 leather couches, that I had made from Leather Creations in Atlanta Ga, and I have had them for 15 years and they look brand new compared to the Lane loveseat I have.
I definitely expected better quality from a company like Lane.

Lane Home Furniture recliner with peeling cover

This is to let you know that I once thought Lane to be a quality product. I no longer view Your company to be a quality producer. My recliner is three years old and the bottom is peeling out of it. It looks horrible! The warranty states the fabric/materials that you chose to represent your name is not covered by the warranty you stand behind. How can you not cover this defective material? The fabric has not been abused by myself. It should definitely have lasted more than three years and should never have peeled. I will no longer look for the Lane name nor associate it with quality. I am deeply dissapointed with this product. I will never buy another nor recommend Lane products because you do not stand behind your product.

Lane Home Furniture simmons motion sofa and loveseat (50980)

I bought a Simmons motion loveseat and couch on March 27, 2010. I retired on November 30, 2014. From the time I bought the furniture until I retired, the furniture was rarely used. I am single, live in a small apartment, and seldom have guests. I spent the winter of 2015 in Arizona so the furniture was not used at that time. Additionally, I was in a wheelchair for eight weeks in 2011 so the furniture was not used at that time. The furniture has been peeling and cracking. I called the store and they said there was nothing I could do. I have been searching and searching for help with this issue. What can I do to resolve this issue? Are there any class action suits I can become part of? Please advise.

Lane Home Furniture reclining sofa with electric controls

Bought a Lane leather reclining sofa (reclines on two ends but stationary in the middle) the end of 2015 from Design Center Furniture in Orange, California. Order number is 26441 dtd. 12/27/15. Rec'd delivery of the sofa 4/03/16. Started having problems with the left side reclining (noises). Contacted the store the end of May 2016 when we could not get the reclining portion to work properly. The footrest part is twisted now in closed position. After a few weeks, the store sent someone out who showed us Lane had shipped us a sofa with a defective power bar or some such device. It was warped or bent. The store ordered a new part from Lane, and weeks later when it came in, they sent a service company tech out to install it. The tech could not install the part because the store did not order the complete part and it would not fix the problem. The tech ordered a new part on 7/28/16. It's now 8/18, and the part still has not come in from Lane. Lane should have expedited the part when they realized no one did a quality check on this sofa before shipping it. We just hope that the sofa isn't permanently warped. (Tried to upload a photo of problem, but it didn't work.) Lane Furniture's HQ number is [protected]. Thank you.

Lane Home Furniture power recliners paid for but not delivered

We ordered 2 power recliners and a couch from Lane Furniture through Tehachapi Furniture around the end of February. The order was clearly spelled out. Lane manufactured and delivered 2 manual recliners and couch late by three weeks. We accepted the couch but asked Tehachapi Furniture to return and get the correct recliner models. Tehachapi Furniture complied. We have paid in full. We have inquired about status of order through Tehachapi Furniture and Leslie Wadkins a customer services rep at Lane .
The customer services rep is giving us the run around. She says she cannot do anything for us unless we furnish the account number, and item number. In reviewing all email correspondence between Eric Leiss of Tehachapi Furniture and Leslie it is apparent Ms Wadkins has been supplied all necessary info and could find the order it if she wanted to . Tehachapi Furniture paid for the chairs up front but originally Ms Wadkins said chairs were never paid for, but later she said money went into a "queue" and went dormant therefore chairs were forgotten and never manufactured. It sounds like Lane is trying to take our money. Ms. Wadkins should be reprimanded for poor customer service because she keeps requesting information that she already has and therefore stops production of our power chairs. We want our power chairs manufactured and delivered ASAP!

Lane Home Furniture benson faux leather loveseats

I purchased 2 Benson Faux Leather loveseats, from Sofas and Sectionals, in 2013. After 2 years, the fabric started to blister on the back cushions, then completely peel away. This was supposed to be sturdy, pet friendly furniture. There is nothing sturdy about this. The leather-like fabric is paper thin, and appears to have been sprayed on a backing.

I am extremely disappointed, considering I paid roughly $1300 for both pieces. According to Lane, the warranty for the fabric is only 1 year, so they won't do anything. Even when it is clear that this product is defective.

Lane used to have quality furniture. These pieces of junk I have is a testament to a company in decline.

I am sure that Lane will not help me with this issue, as they already stated. However, this will not stop me from complaining and informing others how substandard their furniture really is. I will never purchase any furniture from Lane ever again.

Lane Home Furniture faulty, crapped built furniture

Purchased a sofa and loveseat in February 17, 2015. By August of that year the cushions were completely flat. Called the store we bought it from and was told they only offer a 90 day warranty but the manufacturer had a warranty. According to their documents that come with the furniture they guarantee high quality and it comes with a Limited LIfetime Warranty. Contacted the company and was told there is no local business to repair them so they sent the cushions to us and told us to fix ourselves. Four months later the cushions were breaking down again. Also at this time one arm of the sofa broke; the wood completely broke. Sent photo to UFI and at this time I was tired of dealing with the warranty gal and went to her supervisor. On February 4, 2016 I was told by the manager that a brand new set, a sofa and loveseat would be delivered in 3 weeks. Several weeks and many, many more emails later I was told they were making the new set with the highest of quality and were going to guarantee it to our satisfaction. March 30, 2016 I received and email stating "still doing all I can to get it to you this week. Production is supposed to have an update for me in the morning and I will advise". April 1, 2016, after I sent 3 emails I received this one that said "we are still working on producing your 2 pieces to be sure they are of top quality when they go out. I spoke to our Production Manager again today who assured me he is working on these to be perfect. He will have them ready first thing next week and we are just going to have these shipped directly to your home to alleviate any shipping delays after production. I understand your frustration but we are working to get you a product you will be proud of". At this point I am quite frustrated. I had sent additional photos of the furniture as by this time we were stuffing pillows into the sofa to make it usable. Seven days later on April 7, 2016 I received an email stating it had shipped and in that email was this statement, "Your furniture was inspected by our Quality team to be sure it is up to manufacturer’s specs before it left our facility. We do not anticipate any issues for you". The morning of April 11, 2016 we attempted to move the old couch our of the way knowing the new stuff was coming today. We could not figure out why the couch seamed stuck. After working with it and looking underneath we found that one of the broken springs had broke the bottom fabric piece and ripped a hole in our carpet. Now I have a hole in my carpet and it isnt small. Later that day the furniture arrived. Each piece was wrapped in plastice and cardboard. As we took off the cardboard, unwrapped it from its plastic my husband was put on the legs on the sofa and we set it up. After sitting on it we noticed it didnt seem right. We went to turn it upside down to inspect the bottom and could hear and feel stuff moving within the inside. So, within 15 minutes of receiving this so called great furniture we found that the one and only support piece on the underside was broken. Not only was it broken but it was attached crooked, at an angle. We still had the old sofa and looked at the underside of that one and could see where they made mistakes. I promptly took a picture and emailed it to the company. NO response, reply, NOTHING. I called the company and after talking to a couple different people was told the gal recieved my email and photo and would have to get back with me. Her boss was 'out of town, at market' and once he recieved the photo and got back with her, she would get back with me. So here we go again. We paid for furniture from a company who claims to build the highest quality furniture. Simmons brand furniture is sold in many stand alone furniture stores such as Ashley, Hefners, etc as well as Big Lots, Menards and several other box stores. We purchased ours from Menards. Menards only offers a 90 day warranty. We have owned Simmons furniture before and it held up well. One piece did break in the middle more than a year after we bought it and it lasted another year or more before purchasing this new set.
So now we sit and wait and hope we get a piece of furniture that will last more than six months or even a year.

Lane Home Furniture couch sectional and ottoman

But my couch in 2011 and it started peeling about 18 months later and now all of the bonded leather has peeled off onto the floor for the most part peels off and daily. I was never told by the place that I purchased it that it was bonded leather I was under the assumption that it was a leather couch and ottoman and now I am so embarrassed when people come over because my furniture looks like crap. I bought a warranty to cover the furniture that no one will meet so I'm stuck with $1, 100 worth of furniture that essentially looks like crap. I bought it from my local Badcock store. The thing that concerns me is that it's under the name of United Furniture Industries and Simmons. Simmons is usually a good product which is the only reason that I bought the couch and ottoman. I will never ever buy anything from United Furniture or Simmons again.

Bonded leather is quite common and peels off easily. It peels off after extended use or exposure to sun. Get a leather repair kit to fix damages. You can dye your leather to the colour you desire. Check @GecomNigeria on twitter for more leather tips and for various furniture for your home and office.

Lane Home Furniture peeling leather recliner

I always thought "Simmons" name represented a quality product, I was wrong. Now I find out Simmons is really "United Furniture Industries."

I'm so disappointed with my purchase of a "Simmons" leather 'Manhattan' recliner. I bought this almost 3 years ago but about 6 months ago the leather started peeling off.

From what I read online, this is a major defect in their product and should be recalled or the customers should receive compensation.

Lane Home Furniture wall hugger recliner

We purchased two wall hugger recliners about a year ago. We have had bolts fall out of the working mechanism on each recliner. I had to purchase more bolts since two were missing from the factory.
My wife has a burgundy one and it bleeds microfiber where he feet go and it is very ugly looking.

We have had Lane recliners before and they were great. The quality on these last two is really poor.
I will never purchase another Lane anything.

That makes 2 of us that will never buy Lane/Heritage again. After 18 months of owning this Lane sectional the material started cracking in a couple spots. (refer to pic “after 18 months”). After about 2 years the material has just started flaking off (see PIC 2). This is not happening in just one spot, but all over the couch. This is clearly a manufacture defect, and have found out that Lane has had problems with this material in the past (bonded leather). This was the response from Customer Service "Due to the widely variable in-home use experiences once furniture has been accepted into a home, it is very difficult to determine the cause of the issues" I would not recommend Lane/Heritage furniture, not only the product did not hold up they don't stand behind it either.

Lane Home Furniture do not warranty product!!!

We bought a leather sofa and chair with ottoman about 4 years ago. Recently the chair which no one sits in started peeling on the back of chair, then it has started peeling on the sofa seats, arms of sofa, and ottoman. It looks terrible. I contacted Lane furniture submitted all photos, explanation of the peeling, and sales receipt. Was then contacted by Lane that it was not covered, due to being purchased from Furnitureland South, with no warranty. I explained that I did not purchase extended warranty from the furniture store but did not realize that Lane did not stand by their product. She then offered to give the telephone number to the leather repair department for me to pay for! I explained that I would NEVER buy Lane furniture again. I explained that Ashley furniture had told me that the problem was with the leather backing, that it was an organic backing and that all leather products are now peeling, so that leaves me to believe that they are well aware of the problem. I could understand if it was something we had caused but this is clearly not caused from use. I have had leather furniture for years and never had a problem! I further explained that I did not purchase this from craigslist, I purchased from a well known furniture company! Furthermore I have bought used cars for years and even though the car sales do not warranty, the manufacturer does warranty their product!

Lane Home Furniture benson sofa fabric failure

We purchased the Lane Benson living room set in a dark brown faux leather (sofa, chair, recliner, ottoman) in summer 2012 from an online store. The first set arrived with a busted couch and chair (looked like it had been thrown off the truck) and damage to all pieces on the corners etc. they replaced the couch and chair only when the entire set should have been replaced! There was no resolve so we moved on with life and then around summer 2015 we noticed our sofa faux leather fabric starting to show signs of cracking across the back and seat cushions? Now it's December and the faux is flaking off the fabric backing. Lane's warranty is only one year and that's fine because most folks will not experience any trouble with their furniture outside of abuse, but in our case we take care of what we own and for that reason I really feel that the right thing for Lane furniture todo is replace the sofa. The other pieces seem ok for now.

Lane Home Furniture action recliner

We purchased an action recliner from Johnny Janosik. In less than two years, the fabric is peeling. I have contacted the store and they said we had to contact Lane ...I have emailed two complaints in the last 3 weeks and they do not respond. Having seen numerous other complaints and pictures that look exactly like what is happening to my recliner, I feel the fabric is faulty! My husband and I are in our late 70's, so this chair has not been abused. What recourse do we have?

Lane Home Furniture sectional sofa

There is not enough padding in the arms. After 1 year the metal has pushed through and torn the fabric. There is also a large indention in the arm which should be padded. Loved my Lane sectional that I replaced after 18 years. I purposefully waited until I could find similar sofa and expected same quality. Very disappointed.
