Smith's customer service

On Friday November 2 2018, I went into the Smiths store on Paseo and Wyoming (8100Wyoming) around 430pm. A young lady with a name tag "Destiny" approached another worker named Tyler and told him he couldn't have the coverage by a guy named Mickey. Tyler then told her he had the coverage approved already. Destiny then started to yell at Tyler that he couldn't do it and then started to cuss at him to the point of embarrassing the young man. Apparently she is an HR assistant and should have had a professional approached concerning this matter. The young man ended up quitting and several of us shoppers walked out. This is not the first time we have witnessed this employee react this way. She also was speaking horribly of the young man to customers and employees while the cashiers were apologizing to everyone while she just ranted on. I will only return to this store because other employees have only acted with the utmost respect and courtesy. Destiny is the most unprofessional worker I have ever encountered.

Smith's pharmacy

To who it may concern,

My name is Casey, I have been a loyal Smith's pharmacy customer for the past 4 years at your store in Las Vegas on the corner of Ann rd and Decatur. A few months ago I had a run in with another customer there who yelled at me and told me to back off as I was waiting patiently in line to pick up my prescriptions. I simply ignored the man and took a small step backwards. He still proceeded to call me out and refer to me as a "jew" alongside other things. At that point I completely lost my cool and yelled at him. The pharmacist stepped in and started to handle the situation with the rude man. That situation completely ruined my day. I had just come out of church and my day was going good. The pharmacy explained to me he was a problematic customer and that people like him have no right to treat anyone like that. A few months go by and I pick up my monthly prescription again and ask the pharmacy what became of that rude man and they told me that they had tried to get rid of this man from the store and that the store manager only helped him come back by giving him free groceries in gift cards after the fact they knew what happened and how he treated me. I could not believe what I was hearing. All the staff at this poor pharmacy has to deal with this every time the rude man comes in. The pharmacy proceeded to tell me more similar instances this rude man has had with other customers and with the pharmacy staff. They also informed me that Smith's "corporate office" ordered them to not turn down this rude mans prescriptions and that they were forced to serve him. You guys are unbelievable. They also told me he has been kicked out of other Smiths within the vicinity by the store managers there and they have no problem refusing him. But for some reason the store managers at this store like to allow other people to suffer because of him. I asked the pharmacy who this man was, but of course they couldn't tell me because of some law or something. I want to let you know I went home and cried that night because of him. I hope I never see this man on the street.

I originally switched all my prescriptions from CVS across the street from that Smiths because that Smiths offered awesome service and they truly are a good pharmacy who takes care of their customers. next month when I pick up my groceries, I am going to ask the pharmacy if that man is still there and if he is, I am changing pharmacies. and you will be losing a great customer. I do all my shopping there, but as long as this rude man continues to fill at that Smiths pharmacy and treat other customers and the pharmacy staff with disrespect, I can't support a company that allows such a thing and will be going elsewhere. I will be telling all my friends and family of this and urge them not to do business with your company anymore for making me go through hell that day and making that pharmacy go through hell. I am sure Walmart or Albertsons has no problem kicking out ungrateful people and supporting all their other customers.

Smith's store reset - 2540 maryland parkway, las vegas, nv

Was at the store last night, 10/15/2018. I am a former grocery store employee of over 10 years back in the Midwest. I understand the reset concept based on the store location, sales and marketing.
The current move of the Eggs to are just past the Liquor Dept way away from the rest of the dairy products, besides the extreme additional time & distance the employee is going to have to walk is crazy. Additionally, with "Cleaning Products" opposite the area has we extremely worried of "fume" contamination of eggs/yogurt products getting exposed to said contamination, As such, if this is the final location of said products, I will be shopping elsewhere for those items.
I have shopped this store for over 25 years, & last reset putting product on higher shelves, I mean real high, has me constantly helping older folks getting stuff down, not than I can not assistance seniors, since I now am one too.I would love to walk store, since I am there 3-4 times a week, with someone from regional corporate management to express additional concerns, unless it would be a waste of both our times, "we are people oriented store"

Smith's pharmacy tech

I went in to visit your Rancho and Charleston location to pick up my prescription after receiving a text, stated they were ready for pick up. The pharmacist(Yuna) stated she could not fill it. I informed her I received a text and that it is very inconvenient and I could not come back for a few days. She said it was nothing she could do. I said I would not leave until speaking with a manager. She said her manager was off that day and she would not call. They called another young lady who was standing in as manager dur to other managers being off. She informed me that Yuna (pharmacist) asked her to call the police on me. Manager said she told her I was not disgruntle or disruptive and there was no need to call the police. I was so upset after hearing this I just put items down and left. And I cried. Many Black men and women are being gunned down for nothing. Police are being called
for nothing. This was unacceptable!

Smith's produce and bakery

First I want to say I really love the new Smith's market place in sky canyon ( Las Vegas). But was so disappointed the last two times I went.
I grocery shopping every week and buy usually the same goods. 2 weeks ago I purchased clementines ( cuties) from your produce dept and the next day they were all rotten but 2 if them. Then yesterday I bought sugar free cinnamon swirl sliced cake and this morning it's moldy.
I'm very disappointed and a little Leary to go back because it seems that no one is checking items of discontinue or expired items.
I have not had any problems with your other stores with this matter.
I cannot afford to be wasting money on item to be thrown away.

Smith's complaint

I went into Smith's in Edgewood, NM 87015, this AM. The lady just inside the door explained the new Scan Bag system to me. I needed a new Smith's card, and went to the customer service desk. The lady there give me the application and said I could fill it out there or take it home and do it--as the card would not activate for 24 hours. I said "then I will not be able to do the new Scan Bag?". She said just have someone at the self service area come and get me and I will fix it for today so you get the $5.00 refund. I thanked her and went about shopping. The bad experience began at the check out! This little 5 foot fellow with black rim glasses was like a hurricane in action. I explained to him what is written above and he just took the things out of the Scan Bags put them in regular bags and totaled the order. I said did I get the sale prices? Did you call the lady from the customer service desk to fix it for the refund. He said "you have to have the card and have to have scanned the items as you shopped. I said "I just explained to you how this was to be done--did you not listen to what I said?" He looked at me with a blank stare. I was so upset. He did give me the $5.00 for the new process. When someone tells me to do a certain procedure for the correct outcome and I explain it to the person doing the process, I expect it to be done that way. Had he not been going 60 mph he may have done this correctly. I was a cashier for 15 years and I know how to treat people and know that you have to listen to them ---even if you do not want to and make them feel like they are the only person in the store that matters--whether you want to or not! I don't expect to be treated like a queen, but I do expect to have the person listen to me so he knows what is going on.

Smith's customer service manager/cashier

I had to wait in line as the cashier Stacia and another off duty employee complained about the store and other employees. She stated she was so annoyed with the store she could "smack the manager in the face" for being so stupid, as he had a sick employee working even though he had a doctors note. I finished paying, she handed me my receipt and moved on to the next customer, without even bagging one single item I purchased. I asked, are you going to bag my groceries? She stated, "no thats the customers job, not mine. I bagged 6 grocery bags on my own and advised her how rude and unprofessional she was. She said, I dont really care what you think.

Smith's hiring manager alesse/alice

My daughter applied for a job and the Manger Alice told us she got the job and everything but after making us wait for months she said never mind they can't hire her and there is no reasons behind her actions therefore we feel discriminated against. She obviously just didn't like us and that's unacceptable. We really needed the job as soon as possible but because of an employers unfair decision and actions we had to waste time thinking we got the job according to the Manger.

Smith's bad record keeping and missing controlled substance

First of all I filled prescription for Fentanyl patches on April 4th I told them that it showed they filled them twice according to a dopl. They said that they did not and they did not make that error that the report still shows that I filled 2 boxes of patches on April 4th. That needs to be fixed.Next off I filled a prescription for Fentanyl patches on May 15th I came home and when I went through my bag I only had one box of patches. I immediately called the store they said that their count was on and that it must have got put in the bag even though no one remembered putting two boxes in a bag. The one box also only had one marking on it saying it was a C2 . Normally my boxes have C2 plus initials typically that is the pharmacist initials . I asked them to look around and find out if maybe was on the floor or in a garbage. I called a few days later and ask them if they'd found them yet they said no they said they looked at some footage but they couldn't tell if she was putting bottles or boxes in my bag. I told them I still only received one box of patches . I only had one in the bag when I opened it. I believe this is a mistake they are covering up in order to not deal with the repercussions of the error. I know what happens when pharmacies lose a controlled substance they have to deal with the DEA they can come in and tell them that their system is not working properly they will be scrutinized fined possibly audited with that information I believe they just blamed it on me rather than going through all the loops of what is required with the state and DEA when there is a controlled substance missing. This needs to be addressed, this needs to be fixed and I will see it through to the end. If it is not resolved I will call the DEA regarding this matter. It's easy for a pharmacy to think oh she didn't get her patches but to me that's how I survived and take care of my kids. Please address this matter immediately.

Smith's customer service

I was parked in the parking lot when a boy in a green vest named Talon told me I had to move my car because I was in the cart parking I said okay I would I was in the process of programming my GPS he continued to tap on my car repeatedly every 1/2 second or so I told him I would go as soon as I finish this and he continued to tap I then asked him to please move away from my car and then I would leave at this point he told me he was going to go push the cart parking stall into my car. He began to push the cart parking stall into my car he then came to my window again and began tapping I told him I was not going to move until he got away from my car at this point I told him to go and get his manager because his behavior towards me was aggressive I called the store myself at this point he showed up with the florist I told her my complaint her only verbage was I was not in a correct parking stall and that I had to move she made no apologies to me for his aggressive behavior none of this would have occurred if he would have just been patient for 5 minutes and let me finish programming my GPS and backed away from my car instead he continued to aggressively tap on my car and push the cart parking stall into my car this was completely unacceptable customer service all I had to be told was that I needed to move because I was in an inappropriate parking spot and I was going to move as soon as I programmed my GPS he did not need to stand next to my window and tap incessantly I know the florist did not reprimand him in any manner and I feel that this should be addressed because being a single woman this can be perceived as aggressive and threatening

Smith's pharmacy and pharmacist

I go to the Smiths location in my area located on Flamingo and Buffalo in the Las Vegas Nevada area. I get prescriptions of 180 Oxycodone pills and I had no problems feeling it until the pharmacist Phill is having issues and decided he will only fill my prescription up to 150 which shorts me for my month. I am a union ironworker with several disc herniated as well as some dislocated I need these to be able to do my job well and not come home with excruciating pain and I feel that this is conflicting with my quality of life because the pharmacist feels that I do not need as many as my doctor prescribes me.

Smith's unethical behavior

I went for my weekly grocery shopping this morning on May 22, 2018 at my local Smith's Grocery store 6001 Lomas Blvd NE Albuquerque at a little after 9am. Upon entry I retrieved myself a shopping cart from just inside the entrance and proceeded inside to shop. Upon entering the store I went to my left towards the deli realizing that I had forgotten to get out my hand written shopping list. So I stopped for a moment to reach inside my front pant pocket to get out my list. At this moment I realize a very large man (Hispanic male about 24-27 yrs, 6 foot 2 inches to 6' 4" tall. Large body builder chest and statue) is standing in front of my shopping cart giving me "the up and down" "mad dog stare". I addressed the man with "Hello." Immediately afterward a man whom I know to be a Smiths Manager at that store calls out to this man. I say to the man "I believe he is calling to you." which he replied to me "Yeah". At this time the man starts walking around my shopping cart towards me. He stops to the right of me and says "You got a problem?" I respond to him that "No I don't." At this time I start pushing my cart again to get away from this man and go about my business. So I begin to shop. While pushing my cart and turning to an new lane I see that this same man is now speaking to the very same manager who called out to him earlier. I continue to do my shopping. A small amount of time later I see the manager working alone. I approach him and ask him if he knew the large man he was talking to earlier. He replies to me that yes he knows the man and that the man is a employee of the grocery. At this time I inform the manager of my experiences with this employee upon entry of the store. I inform him that I am only here to shop for my groceries and am in no way here to harass or intimidate people. I told him that I felt it was completely unnecessary for this man to act this way and that I felt I had in no way done anything to be given this type of intimidation and harassment for simply coming to this store to shop for groceries. The manager ( a medium sized Hispanic man whom appears to be mid 30's) said to me that he would speak to this man about his behavior. I personally told the manager that I would not endure or tolerate such behavior from this employee ever again while shopping at this store. At this time this manager basically "blew me off" and started to ignore me while saying " I will talk to him about it." I at this time went on an finished my shopping entered a checkers area and then went home. I didn't see or have any other experiences with this large man. I am writing this letter to hopefully someone who can listen and understand my experience and know that this behavior from an employee of your company is not right or tolerable. I now feel intimidated to do something as simple as come to your store and shop for my groceries. I can clearly see that this large man engages in body building. It is totally clear to me that his physical stature allows for him to go about acting this way. However. Behavior like this is not acceptable even if this employee is visiting the store at a time he is not working on the clock with persons whom are there to conduct official business. I personally feel that this aggressive employee needs to be terminated to avoid any future conflict. I wish at this time I knew the exact names of these individuals involved in this complaint, but I do not. I am only in hopes that this can be resolved quickly within your company as I hope to come to Smiths for many years to do my grocery shopping. Thank you for your time in this matter. Sincerely - Carson Hayes

Smith's fuel attendant

One of your fuel attendants (Christine I think, I'll call her employee 1) had a line employee 2 came from the store with carts (I'm guessing supplies) and waited for the line to go away which took a min, as I approached (I didn't want to wait in the long line) employee 2 asked employee 1 if she could open the door, at which point 1 snapped at 2 yelling she had customers then directed at me said "NEXT, CAN I HELP YOU" in that tone only your mother uses when you're in deep. Now I'm all for customer service but clearly employee 2 needed 5 seconds to get inside or whatever and myself and the lady behind me I'm sure would have gladly waited. I stepped up and continued my transaction with employee 1 being very cold and short with me and at the same time taking her time as to irritate employee 2. As I left I thought how do you live with yourself treating your co-workers that way, it upset me still does and I decided someone should do something or at least say something to her. I am going to shop elsewhere for a bit and see if I can regain faith in people.

Smith's customer service or lack thereof.

I've been a smith's shopper for years, I spend from. 200-400 a week at this store. Two locations windmill and eastern and Maryland and Silverado ranch. The customer service is horrendous. Never a bagger, never stocked shelves, the staff is rude constantly. Will literally argue with and fight with you and antagonize a fight with you over being lazy. Every staff member there is lazy, rude, incompetent, argumentative, and to top it off the self check out man at the windmill sexually harassed every woman that walks through the store. I've now taken my money to Albertsons. I don't expect to be treated like a queen or any attention at all but I don't expect to have them be down right rude.

Smith's rotten bacon and response from butcher

I was at the Mesquite, Nevada Smiths on 4/24/18. I bought 2 packs of Big Buy brand bacon, among many other groceries... I cooked some yesterday and tasted a weird funky nastiness after baking. I noticed then that the second package I bought on the same day was labeled, use or freeze by March 02 2018' TWO MONTHS EXPIRED! MY HUSBAND, SON & I ALL INGESTED 2 MONTH OLD PORK! God knows what parisite is inside us! I called for a Manager, got the butcher, and he said( rudely, very rudely) throw it out. No apologies, just throw it out. I was absolutely infuriated! He kept cutting me off as I was trying to tell him he needed to check the dates and pull the rotten meat he was selling. Refused to let me talk to a Manager. He blamed the rotten meat on a vendor that gave him a free box of meat. He said they dont even carry that brand of bacon. If thats so then why did I purchase it there? Such a liar! I told him it didn't matter where he got it, the dates should've been checked. They should ALWAYS be checked! He then handed off the phone to the first girl who answered and I asked are you a Manager? She said no, I said over and over again I wanted to talk to a Manager and she kept trying to talk around & over me ( as well as the butcher did before, never connecting me with anyone in charge) so I then had to hang up and call the store back trying to connect with a Manager. The girl said she would pass it on... Again, no Manager. I am furious as a customer, a person & a mother, possibly carrying parisites, along with my 4 year old son & husband, from the rotten bacon your store sold because of a careless butcher & workers. For the sake of others I hope you check up on that store for quality insurance.

Smith's employee inappropriate comments attitudes towards customers

Good Afternoon:

Today I overheard a conversation between a cashier named Fonzy and another customer of spanish desent. Fonzy was expressing his dislike for President Trump and made a comment about the statue of liberty.in short he paraphrased the inscription "give us your tired, your poor, your huddled masses etc. Not people with blonde hair and blue eyes." Rather an offensive comment to someone like myself who's ancestors are blonde haired and blue eyed. My point is that Fonzy and any other kroger employee should keep their insults and proslytizing to themselves and not insult customers.
Almost three months ago at this same store another cashier named Cindy implied that I was trying to steal groceries while unloading my cart at the checkout counter. Who in hell would try stealing in plain sight of the cashier
stand, in the store you shop in weekly? I did complain to the store manager.
He notified me that Cindy had numerous complaints prior to mine. My question is... why is she still there?
I guess I have to question the integrity of Kroger management when their store employees feel bold enough to insult or berrate customers who spend nearly ten thousand dollars per year on groceries.in my opinion the S. Pacheco, Santa Fe, Smiths store in New Mexico has some management/employee problems that need serious attention. I will gladly move my business to sams club or costco if this behaviour towards me and others continues.

Info: Smiths, 2110 S Pacheco
Santa Fe, New Mexico
Date: 4/10/18, Time: 12:32pm, Register: 8

Smith's 4x rewards points for shell gift cards

I have a few comments to make.
1. The partnership you have with Shell I feel is a scam. Smith's offers 4X reward points where if you buy $250 in shell gift cards you get 1.00 off of gasoline up to 35 gallons. Problem is Smith's doesn't offer any Shell gift card over $50 dollars which makes it impossible to take advantage of that offer. To add to my frustration I bought $500 dollars worth of $25 and $50 gift cards since that was the only thing available.
2. When I visited a Shell station last night and asked the clerk to turn the pump on so I could get my 1.00 off but he didn't know how. I tried putting in my rewards card, pushed the button to say I would pay inside and it showed on the screen awaiting authorization. The clerk didn't know how to authorize it. I ended up driving over to Smith's so I could take advantage of the 1.00 off 35 gallons. Nice I could spend more on gas.

Why don't you offer $100 gas cards so you can utilize this offer? I have been to 3 Smith's near my home, NONE of them carry cards higher than $50. One of them didn't carry any cards higher than $25.

Smith's employee being mistreated

To Higher Mgmnt:

This is in regard to Xander Butler who works at the Smith's Marektplace in West Jordan, Utah. He has been with your company almost 4 months. He is my son. A son who has Learning Disabilities and Autism. He attended IEP all his life. Despite of his Disabilities, he has accomplished alot with proper coaching through resources given to him. Xander does not have a mean bone on him. This is the second time I have brought up issues that my son has encountered with management at that location. First, was a phone call and then this - an email. The following occurred today:

Xander Butler received his work schedule and was given Tues, Feb 27th and Thurs, Mar 1st days off. According to his Supervisor, he missed a schedule on Tues, Feb 27th. My son received a phone call at approximately 6 o'clock this morning asking where he was. Xander explained he was off. If my son was "supposedly" schedule, why in the world did it took 7 hours later for the Supervisor to call him in? Xander was asked to come in for a couple of hours and his Supervisor promised him a ride home today Feb 28th. My son does not drive. He ended up walking home. He left my son high and dry -- very unethical. Xander also ended up working a full shift from 9:00am to 5:00pm and was given Mar 1st off (See Attached).

Secondly, my son said one of the guys he worked with jokingly made a comment saying " ... if you had not missed your schedule ..." and laughed it off. Xander told me that the Store Asst Mgr witnessed it and did nothing.

First and Foremost, it is very uncalled for your employees to mock my son and management using him to cover up his tracks. We all make mistakes but what you did to my son "with disabilities" was inhumane, unethical and just plain disrespectful. Thank God, my son got home safely because I would never ever forgive your company if something had happened to him. And quite honestly, I am not afraid to voice what happened to my son today publicly. Your management was in the wrong! I am a single parent and I refuse to see any of my kids go through abuse. I don't care what your position is in the company. Respect and Honesty should be given anytime, anywhere! Do not judge the book by its cover!

Sincerely,

Laurie V Tuttle

Smith's rude bread delivery man/several overnight stockers

I am over 60 years old and have been shopping for myself for 42 years. I have never been treated so rudely as I have as when I have been in the Hualapai and Charleston store (multiple times) while the Bread Delivery Man and the Stocker's were there.

Plain and simple the Bread Man talks very loud and sometimes the conversation isn't for public ears.

The Stocker's keep their carts in the middle of the aisles. I have tried to get around them and they don't even bother to move their carts. They just give me nasty stares as if I was in their way. I even had to hit up against a cart to get around someone and he never even bother to move his cart...just another stare and nasty look!

Other thoughts I have about Smiths as of late.

Every time I shop at there is at least one item I can not get at Smiths. Sometimes it is skinless boneless chicken thighs. Sometimes it is Farmer John Mashed Potatoes. Sometimes it is Simply Round Salted Crackers. I think you get my point. Produce is always out of one or two things once a week.

The parking lot bushes need to be cut very low or taken out as they are too high to see over. I have heard from numerous friends and neighbors how they do not like the parking lot at Smiths!

Maybe this is a "pie in the sky wish" but if you could de-clutter the isles and make the isles wider that would be great!

In closing, there are 2 Alberstsons just as close or almost as close as Smiths is to me. Alberstons may be more expensive and they don't have the self check out, but the negatives strikes you have against you in my book will make me shop somewhere else.

Sincerely,

Robert Keplinger
