I lost my job, twice, have been separated and now about to begin divorce, lost clients due to two salon moves, barely making enough money to keep electric, water and food in the house. I had a loan through countrywide, that went to Boy A and in October and November of 2016 I submitted all paperwork and was granted a loan modification through BoA. On the day that I was to pay my first trial payment I called BoA and was notified they had sold the loan and that the new lender was SLS. I was told they (SLS) would honor the modification and not to worry. That was nov 24 and on the 29th I spoke to a SLS rep and told him I needed to pay my trial, payment. He inflormed me that my pkg was still in transition and would have to call back. From that day to Dec. 30 I called multiple times only to receive an aoutmated voice message saying my loan was still in transition and that dec. Payment wouldn't be late. I even tried logging into the web site and it would allow me to make a payment. On dec 30th I finally spoke to my loan manger Billy. He told me things were busy, he's working late, I'm lucky I caught him...then he tells me my payment is the full amount of the loan prior to modification. The. New payment shouldve been 628.00 and I told him he must be mistaken cause I had the modification and he tells me there is no record of it...and do I have the "congratulations letter " I told him I wasn't sure and he said, no worries. Now if you can find that letter and call me back after the first of the year it will expedite the process and if you can't find the letter no worries will contact BOA and it will take longer but he will still honor the modification. Well that weekend my cousin was killed in a car accident and I didn't call back until January 18 or 17th. I had found the letter and when I talk to the new rep and ask for Billy she told me he wasn't in the office. So I explained to her everything and she told me I have been disqualified from the modification because I didn't pay before December 30! I about lost it Michael and explain to her no that can't be right because I tried to pay it on the 30th and Billy's told me not to worry. She tells me I need to apply for a review for extension and it will take 48 hours to hear something back. So I: January 20 the day of the The presidents inauguration and was told my request has been denied and I flipped out. The lady I was speaking to this time the, fourth person In less than a month and a half when I thought I was supposed be talking to Billy each time, was rude hateful and downright mean. I told her that I was scared that the coming a homeless veteran and she tells me if I really cared I wouldn't of gotten behind on my house payment and I would've paid the payment for the modification before 30 December. I really lost my mind at that point and filed a complaint with the Federal Commission for consumer bureau. The rebuttal to that complaint with the letter from their attorney's dated for February 9 but the envelope pictured with this letter was dated February 1 saying that they had granted me my extension and I failed to make the payments being January 25 the 26th and February 1. These people are ridiculous evil and downright dishonorable liars. I don't know what to do I really don't know what to do I feel like I've been screwed over not because of my own doing because Bank of America and SLS dropped the ball not me! This is been extremely stressful it's the reason I was asked to resign from the salon at work that because I was getting no rest I was freaking out all the time because of the stress of this. I have never ever in my entire life have I been so done and fed up with a company or a person...l ihell I'm going through a divorce so that's saying a lot! I'm a veteran and have never use my VA loan and because I was dumb enough to take on all this debt in my name and I can't pay my bills. My credit score that used to be in the low 800s and high 700s is now in the low 400s so it screws me out of getting a VA loan suchBS!

How can I get info about filing suit against SLS? They have forced us into foreclosure and we own most of our home. It is a very long story and sounds like most of the complaints I have read on here. We were with BOA and then somehow ended up with SLS after we paid down another 20, 000 towards the equity of our home. We too received payment notices that were not correct and then due to several tragic events in our family got a couple months behind. With that they said we were eligible for a "Loan Modification" at a lower rate. Well, that was the beginning of the end. Every time we sent in the modification paperwork they told us it was not correct or we were missing stuff. This was an endless circle so we asked for the pay off amount to bring the loan current. This was another sham. At one point they gave us the name and number of another bank they said we had to call. We called that bank several times getting nowhere until we were told SLS should have never had us call there because they had nothing to do with our loan. So again we went back to SLS asking for the amount we owed and they could never get the numbers right. Then they started with "we have to mail you the amount to bring the loan forward". Yes, they did this a few times. Each time we would receive a letter that was dated for weeks before we received it leaving us only 1-2 days to pay it and it always would contain bogus charges. This last one I received left me 2 business days then I received a sale date on my home which is in a few weeks. I also received a denial to my loan modification on that day for "incomplete paperwork". So I called them and was told the letter containing the amount to bring the mortgage current is usually good for 30 days and I would get a new one. I asked if she could email it to me asap and she said I would get it in 24 hrs.It didn't come so I called them and was told it wasn't going to be sent till next week and they never email anything so I would have to call back or wait for the mail. I asked for a manger and was told I couldn't talk to anyone because no one would help me. Meanwhile I only have a 3 week time frame because I live in the state of TN and there really isn't much help against the big banks here. The homes are usually auctioned and I do not think I qualify for bankruptcy. And I should't have to go into bankruptcy. If any one knows of any help in my state please email me. maureenvescera@gmail.com

My loan was just sold to this company by CMC Funding (LoanCare LLC).

I immediately setup ACH payments to begin on the 1st of next month, but I'm terrified right now about what could happen with this company.

I took out the loan on my house in June 2014 with a 10 year fixed rate, but I've been paying it down very quickly and am scheduled to pay it off by the end of 2017 (my loan doesn't allow for early payment penalties).

Do I have any recourse to get my loan serviced by another company or borrow from a local credit union to pay the mortgage off immediately?

Email is NWA1620@gmail.com

You can shop around and refi anytime you like. Try USAA or Navy Federal if you are a vet. Has anyone thought about contacting the news media and the papers they love stuff like this. The eat it with spoon if you even mention Wells Fargo, after they have been busted being shady. I can only pray that everything goes smoothly. Good Luck

I would love to be part of the class action lawsuit where do I sign up ? SLS took years to give me a modification then 5 months later took it away saying I refused to sign something I never received. They have now Foreclosed and have given me 3 days to get out I'm taking it to the courts but feel it's a lost case! I'm a totally disabled veteran this is the home I was born in they used the modification program to steal my home and I could do nothing to stop them and there is no one to go to! It's pretty bad when you have a country that allows these people to operate and use a government program to implement these totally deceptive practices. I've been through nearly 5 years of absolute stress and like Vietnam I feel I'm fighting another losing battle only this one this one shooting at me with pen and paper but is just as deadly. carefultransport2@comcast, net

SLS has reported my loan to the Credit Bauru as late and ruined to restructuring of my credit I worked so hard to mend. The fact is they returned a check I sent them, then reported my loan payment as not being made. The person I spoke with was very rude and actually laughed when I became frustrated! Please let me know how I can be part of this lawsuit.

Regarding: specialized loan servicing (sls)
In researching legal avenues against sls, I was told of class action lawsuit
Filed by tycko & zavareei - october, 2016
www.tzlegal.com ;
Please follow link on "current cases" find sls...

Please use their link to input your experience with this company and/or
Contact:
california office: [protected]
kristen sagafi: [protected] (california)
audrey abate: [protected] (california)

washington, dc office: [protected]
lorenzo cellini: [protected] (washington, dc)

I personally spoke to audrey, (most accessible...) assistant to kristen sagafi -
California is the main office who is primarily working on this case.
As you will see, this class action is primarily focused on wrong-doings
Regarding loan modifications, improperly processed, denied etc...
The "discovery" is on-going and the lawsuit allegations may change if warranted..
The law firm is very interested in hearing from anyone affected by sls.

Will continue to pursue legal avenues against sls regarding other issues
("non" - loan modification), as we all have and continue to experience with sls -
However, this is a very good beginning against sls and a voice for all of us.

Please take a moment to look into this, lets make this happen!
Anyone who would to reach out to me: msolare@aol.com

Good luck, take care

SLS has been harassing me since 2012 for a loan that I had on my home. The loan was originated by Countrywide. After the home market crash of 2008. I was made aware that Countrywide sold my loan to Bank of America. BofA advised me that my home would be auctioned sold and that I needed to leave the property in March of 2012, which I did. SLS has told me that they are trying to collect on the loan for my lender. B of A never advised me that they had hired SLS to collect on the loan. I have received court doc's advising me that Countrywide and B of A were granted a deed in lue of foreclosure last year yet SLS continues to ding my credit and harass me on a daily basis. They are reporting to credit agencies and destroying my credit. They don't even have the correct spelling of my last name. One of the callers from SLS said after I told them they had my last name wrong" well this the way you spelled your name" . Like I don't now how to spell my own name. My email address is ducham999@yahoo.com. I would love to join a class action suite against these diabolic people. Thank you for any help you may be able to give me. Thank you. Carla

Please ad me to this class action lawsuit, I lost my home under this evil lender. My mortgage was first with Countrywide, they sold it to Bank of America, they sold it to Specilized Loan Servicing, with those high interest rates . I was trying to get a modification on tow of my homes, sent them what they ask for, sent the information on why I got behind on my mortgage. They just stole my home. They knew where I lived, the way they stole my home was a prejudice move, they redline my home address, then stole them from under me.I fell ill, but came back, was now able to make my payments, they just would not give me that modification

I have had SLS for 3 years now, after filling chapter 13 and having the Bankruptcy Court discharged my case meeting all of the requirements satisfactory. I also made all of my mortgage payments with proof of payments, confirmation numbers and bank statements, and any past due payments were done through the Chapter 13 5 years payment plan. Now, I am trying to refinance my mortgage loan and I found out that I have been paying past due amounts, which put me behind on my payments and now they are threatening me that they will foreclosure my home. I had requested to send me proof of the time when I missed my mortgage payments, but I still have not received it. It has been 1 year since I'm going back and forth with them, I realized that we need to stop them from continuing their unethical, illegal and dishonest business. Reading all of your problems and complaints, I cannot understand how a company like this still in business. We all need to get together, hire a really good attorneys group to help us keep our home and take them out of business. Also, we can all send a letter to our Congressman to take care them at once. Please email me at Getogether090116@gmail.com.

I had my loan transfered to sls mortgage, and it had been worst since then. m y mortgage went up by $780.00. they added their own insurance while I have the same insurance. they added additional $420 to my property tax. which is $370.00 more than the amount of tax that I am required to to pay.
I am now looking for a legal counsel on this company because I think that they are fraudulent organization. if you are a lawyer please contact me. sonnyg1964@ymail.com.

you know that some of this stuff is written and said out of total frustration at the time but for the most part this is a valid complaint and it should be treated as such but with the mortgadge servicers it never is a valid one at all even in a hard ship that's valid they treat you as if you are a street bum or like you never ever worked a day in your life and they are the thiefes here they pay pennies on the dollar for a home that has already been paid for and I mean the life of the loan the day you went into default on your loan its like 93 days and everyone involved in your loan was payed so lets get this law suit going because tipickly the only one who should even have any thing to say is the loan insurance co and you are the one who payed the insurance on the loan not the servicer or the bank they just got the money and payed everything offto anyone involved but you payed the loan insurance they are the only ones who should have any say at all or you or the person ro bank that lent you the money but they were paid when you default on the loan that's why they say we cant help until you are at least three months behind in your payments because on the 93 day it gets payed and they start all over again fraud closher and if enouph of us get together it will stop we just need to file for quiet title when they forclose the home look on utube quiet title type it in and see for yourself serious

sls is a fraudulent co set up by the same as hsbc the same people that say tha they don't have to obey the law because they are based in china that is what I was told is that it would be like david and golia and they were to big to sue and that they had all of the high power attourneys on their side and that's why I will never get a loan mod and that they got a lot more money than I do so just conform to do what they tell you to do and maybe you can stay in your home they don't even at the time of the sale know where the note is or who owns the property listed so they try to backup and hide behind another servicer it gets so bad some times that im not even sure whats going on if I didn't remember the guy that I purchased the home threw I think I would be lost becase they are really screwed up and not helping anyone at all please...

I want to be a part of this lawsuit. For the past 3 years this company has stolen my money and there was absolutely nothing i could do about it. I would really like to stop this company in its tracks before it does to someone else what they have done to me. They literally stole thousands of dollars from me. Could have sent 1 of my children to college for what they robbed from me. The people and the company that make up SLS have all signed their ticket to hell. Every single person that works there knows exactly what they are doing and have zero regard for any of their clients. For 1 i am a homeowner not a debtor. The first and only company i have ever had dealings with that referred to me as a debtor. That right there tells everyone of us that they have only one thing of our in their best interest and that is our MONEY. What has been going on behind those doors is criminal and it needs to be stopped. Every single one of us need to have what was stolen from us returned with interest applied to us by the same rules they use. PLEASE send info to be a part of bringing down this criminal organization. addrake01@gmail.com

I also would like to be part of the class action suit against SLS. I pay my mortgage on time every month. One time I even sent it 3 day delivery so it wouldn't be late. They signed for it but waited a month to apply it towards my account. I never get a statement so I never know what my actual payment is. I was financed thru homecomings financial filed for home modification and ended up with SLS. I owed $70, 000 and now they say I owe $103, 000. I really need help and don't know what to do. Hello! If you posted your email address on this board, I took the liberty of sending all of you an email regarding a class action against SLS. The body of the email that I sent reads as follows below. You might want to check your spam folder to be sure you received it, but just in case I'm reposting it here. I also encourage you to copy and past the body of the email below into an email you send to your local news TV station. I sent mine to news@abc13.com here in the Houston area. How Many People Are Needed For A Class Action? Although it sometimes helps if several people are named as plaintiffs in the suit, a single person is generally enough to file a lawsuit so long as the attorney for the class has a good faith belief that a number of other people were injured in a similar way. It generally takes at least 30-50 people with similar claims, and sometimes many more, to qualify as a class action. I sent the email "see below" to 27 emails already from this website alone. Surely there are so many more!. Let's get this done!

"Greetings everyone! I found all of your email addresses on the following website: SLS — class action suit. I hope you don't mind my reaching out to you. I am in the same boat as many of you… Countrywide sold to Bank of America now being handled by SLS! They are horrible. I submitted modification documents and have gotten nowhere and now face a sale date of 2/2/16. I'm furious!

I spoke with attorney M. Susan Rice [888.840.1593] yesterday about my situation and she is very ANTI-SLS, in fact, she's very anti-mortgage companies in general for their bad faith practices. SLS's behaviour is inexuseable and they need to be stopped.

I encourage all of you to give her office a call tomorrow since she is developing a list of potential class action plaintiffs wanting to file a lawsuit against SLS. Even if you don't live in Texas, such a class action would be a huge federal case and as all class action cases it doesn't matter what state you live in. Her contact info webpage is: http://msricelaw.com/sub_category_list.asp?category=4&title=Contact+Us

I, for one, am sick and tired of the SLS run around and want them stopped! Please lets all work together to shut them down!"

Our file was transferred by Bank of America to SLS. The only complaints that I have are 1- their website is useless. It is a nightmare trying to access info. 2- they refuse to send me monthly statements for payments. 3- They have not reported us as current or even existing on the credit reporting agencies. I would be happy to be included in the class action lawsuit if it is still ongoing. Can you please provide a contact point to provide my info.

I am going CRAZY here! I applied for a ------ mod with SLS in April 2014. SLS said they could not give me an answer because my ---- was transferring back to B of A, and the transfer would be competed in 60 to 90 days. I sent in a ----- mod to B of A. They then told me that my ---- was now transferred back to SLS and I would have to reapply with SLS, AGAIN!. By the time the dust settled in May 2015, I again resent my ----- modification package to SLS. I follow up and i was told my ----- was still with B of A, so i called B of A, they said the ----- was still with SLS. I could never get a straight answer. So now one knew where my ----- was, not until December 2015 when SLS filed a notice of default . I again called, and called, and called, and no one could help me. So i called the company that was foreclosing on my property. They said it was defiantly SLS and gave me an ID number. I called SLS and again they told me my ----- was transferred to B of A, until i read them the ID number from the NOD company. Magic happened they found my -----! SLS said they were sorry but there file shows my ----- is still with B of A and that I abandoned the -----. I sent in another modification on Dec 21. under the new ID number. I followed up today and they still feed me the same story and say my modification was not excepted because my ----- was abandoned. So i stayed on the phone with them for 1.5 hours and now they tell me my ----- modification paperwork was excepted on December 21st but it got filed under the old ID number, even though i put the new ID number on all the paperwork. HELP i just want my Modification!

My wife and I went through the same issue with SLS. My home was bought with countrywide and then went to bank of America and then sls as well. All the calls I made and papers I send according to them were never in order. I have saved all my paper work though it was been a few years that we lost our home in phoenix az. I would like to be added to this lawsuit. zeusweiser@hotmail.com

I am also a victim of SLS. I purchased my home in 2006 through Countrywide and then Bank of America and now finally through SLS. For over two years I have been sending and resending paperwork to them for the Making Home Affordable program and also modification. They will not take payments from me unless it is for the full amount the behind. My credit is shot and because my payments are behind I cannot refinance through anyone else. I am a Veteran of the USMC and can get a VA Mortgage and have a certificate, but with my credit being shot, I am in a mess. I have a wife and 5 children and we are looking at being homeless if something is not resolved...I would like to be part of this Class Action Law suit. My email is edmiley86@yahoo.com

My mortgage company sold my account to SLS this year 2015. Ever sense I've had nothing but trouble. Now they over drawer my check through a unauthorized transaction. Now I have no money to pay my bills nor feed my children. Please include me in the class action suite against them.

I have been trying to deal with SLS for months now. I have sent the documentation they've requested several times ... Just like BOA they say they haven't received it. Or, I was missing documents. Every time I call, I get a different person on the phone. They all say they are going to help me resolve my mortgage issue, to no avail.
I am really concerned that my house may be foreclosed on and I will not have a roof over my head. What can I do ?

Yep...I faxed them documentation regarding what we had to pay through Chapter 13 by an Order from the judge. They said that they never received the fax. Had to resend and still no word on them making that payment adjustment. They even went as far as putting our monthly payments toward the arrearage and not the post-payments. So it looks as though we did not pay according to the Motion for Automatic Relief through our Chapter 13.

We had completed applications to Keep Your Home California in January and had to file an application to SLS to process the help Keep Your Home California was able to give. KYHC approved to make our mortgage payment in March but because of the SLS delays, requiring documents and letter already provided initially in our application, , it delayed KYHC help for 3 month . Long story short we finally received an offer from SLS in June. But not only was their process lengthy they also billed KYHC the wrong amount showing all payments pending correction threatening to foreclosure and us calling to find out the issue and asking why the payments were being held in a suspense account from July to now. We've request for SLS to correct the derogatory Credit Report and take out any inspection fees unwarranted. We are hoping there is a class action lawsuit we can be added to. Please let me know how we can be a part of the lawsuit.

SLS got my mortgage few months ago from BB&T...and they have been doing things very shady... such us contacting my insurance company by mail to tell them I am in foreclosure and that they will change insurance to close my acct. with them...when I am NOT in foreclosure...THANK god my agent called me and warned me of this going on...I can only think they were planing to make up some penalties for not having insurance coverage or try to get me off guard to get my house... When you call them to inquire them about charges that make no sense they are extremely rude and give not explanation of where are those extra fees coming from...I was supposed to pay $590 after my modification with BB&T and they have me paying $790 monthly due to all these extra fees and give no explanation on why this is?
Please let me know if there is still an action lawsuit against them.
