Sleep Number new sleep number bed from qvc

We ordered a sleep number from QVC on May 21st. It was delivered on Jun 13th after we called and complained multiple times for it arriving so late. We were told to expect 7 boxes. We received the 7 boxes, removed our old bed, and put the sleep number together. At the very end we realized two pieces were missing. One base pad and one comfort layer were not in the box. My husband called QVC and sleep number on Jun 14th. He was told the pieces would be expedited and sent via UPS. On Jun 16th, I chatted online with sleep number. I was told that they would ship the missing pieces in 14-17 days. They also said it may be faster to take the bed apart, return, and reorder. My husband called the next day and was told it had been shipped. We waited. He called sleep number on Jun 22nd and was told the pieces will ship in 2-3 weeks. All this time we have had a bed that can not be used. Their customer service is terrible. QVC has apologized multiple times and refunded $250 even though sleep number is at fault. Very upset.

I recently ordered a Sleep Number bed as a 50th birthday gift (08/17) to myself. The bed was to be delivered Sat 08/11 between 4:30 and 8:30 PM but instead it arrived at almost 11 PM. To add insult to injury once it arrived it was not able to be put together as the delivery personnel stated they did not have one of the necessary flame retardant tarps. While they were at my residence I contacted customer service via chat and although the representative was very nice I was informed that the next available date in which the bed could be redelivered in its entirety (the delivery persons advised against any part of the bed being delivered during the visit because I would be personally held responsible if anything were to happen prior to actual installation) would not be until AFTER 8/23 and that I should contact customer service via telephone first thing Monday (08/13) morning. I've paid a lot less for merchandise and the customer service, support, and delivery was A+ but I pay almost $7K for this bed and this is how I'm treated. Maybe I should have thrown a party or treated myself to a new car instead. Very sad and unhappy with this. Hopefully, someone in corporate will read this and try to make it right.

Sleep Number financing

We bought a bed from Sleep Number with 60-month terms. However, Sleep Number instead set us up for 18-month terms with GE/Synchrony. I did not learn about this until further down the road and investigated my account. I found they had been charging interest past the 18 months. Shame on me for not paying closer attention.

Talked with Sleep Number and they said there was no record of even having a 60-month promotion when I made the purchase, and I had made a mistake. This was simply not true as, at that time, that was the only reason we could afford to buy the bed. We only had one household income at the time and 5-year financing allowed us to make reasonable monthly payments.

Needless to say, I felt lied to and deceived. I will never buy another Sleep Number product again. I recommend anyone buying their product to be very careful regarding their fine print as it may end up costing you MUCH more money.

I've had a sleep number bed P5 for less than a year now (I purchased the bed in July 2017). I have had 2 major issues up to this point; both the same issue. The head of the bed gets stuck in the up position, and won't go down. The message on the remote tells me there was a power outage and the bed needs to be recalibrated (you can't use the remote for anything until it's recalibrated). When I follow the directions to recalibrate, both sides of the head of the bed go up, however the right side goes down to flat, as it should, but the left side does not go down. I had a technician out 3-4 months ago who fixed it, and now I have the same exact problem, all in less than a year of ownership. I'd like to return the bed, feeling its defective (especially since technician says he's never seen this happen twice), but sleep number will not exchange or take back. So incredibly frustrating to have spent $5, 000+ for a mattress when I could have (and should have) gone to a local mattress store and got something just as good for half the money and not this aggravation. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER SLEEP BED, NOR WOULD I RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE. I've already told family don't waste your money. Buyer beware.

Sleep Number c2 double twin with dual temp

I have had to make four or five service calls in a little over a year; EVERY time I'm on hold for between 20 and 40 minutes before I can begin to talk with someone. I would have called sooner after a problem but can't deal with the wait times. The phone message ALWAYS says "we're experiencing unusual call volume." Reps don't listen and only want to do what they know how to do, which is reset the bed. I recently found out from one of their independent contractors that they place a service call based on if they think it's the underneath of the bed or the top. Consequently, all the issues can never be resolved at once. This means that it's actually the rep determining issues, rather than a technician. On the last call the contractor noted that additional work needed to be done because they hadn't sent the right parts for what the problem turned out to be. Although the contractor sent numerous messages nothing happened to fix the problem. Last week I had the bed all the way up, entered the "flat" setting for the bed and walked away. When I came back I forgot I had theoretically put the bed down and got into the bed at the top position and it came crashing down to flat from the most upright position. That could have been devastating for a fragile person.

Issues in no particular order: 1)The bed now keeps "recalibrating" itself, sending both sides up and down. 2) I'm now afraid to put the bed down when I'm not in it for fear of what might happen. 3)The cords literally fall out of either the dual temp boxes or the other box that's under the bed, not sure which, and create "connectivity" problems on the remote and the bed won't work properly. (For this issue they only want to send new remotes.) 4) The dual temp "pad" is damaged from having the bed upright as the dual temp pad is inappropriately attached over the mattress (or it's a bad design) and is an uncomfortable lump under your butt when sitting up in bed.

I've had a Sleep Number bed before and there weren't problems even close to this. At that time they were responsive and the only call I made was resolved the first time, without a 40 minute wait time. One assumes the wait time is so long now because there are so many problems that are inappropriately addressed.

I'm sick and tired of spending approximately an hour of my time on each call with inappropriate results. I'm also sick and tired of having to crawl under the bed continually to fix things. When one pays a fortune for a top-of-the-line bed, one assumes it will work properly. It's been constant issues and I've been threatened with service call fees.

Resolution would be to have the bed work. Considering they have been unable to fix after this many calls, it would seem that a new bed would be the only choice.

My average wait time on the phone is 40 minutes! Then they just want you to reset the bed! (Could have done that WITHOUT waiting 40 minutes.) Explain, explain, explain. I discovered that the person you talk to turn out even tho they know nothing, they are doing the diagnostics. It's THAT person who actually orders the parts. That's why the parts are never right when the repairperson arrives. My last service call the repairman called back twice to tell them to send the appropriate part. Of course it never arrived. Since I don't have the time to sit on the phone for 40 minutes I haven't called back and the bed is always having issues and re-setting itself and CONSTANT connectivity alerts. What a rip-off! Can't lay down comfortably on the dual temp pad because it's damaged from moving up and down. I hope potential customers are reading this, because to them I say, "Run, do not walk, to a different bed company!"

We are dealing with the same problem. It took hours to be able to talk to someone- never the same representative- so you have to repeat and repeat. If you leave messages they NEVER return your calls. They don't acknowledge your request for repair and you have to call to see if they are still in business. We bought the bed in Dec 2015, delivered end of January 2016...The repairman has to drive more than 100 miles. In May 2017, they replace the undercarriage and one month later My Husband cannot use his side stuck in the sitting position. After almost a week, the part has been sent to this repairman who is en vacation until...An alternate repairman within 100 miles is also en vacation. If we were strong enough [we are 77 and 80 YOA] we can turn the beds, remove a pin...oh you have to have 2 more people..sorry..So tired.

Sleep Number sleep number sheets

We purchased 2 sets of sheets for our split king size sleep number bed when we bought it in September 2017.
The top sheet on both sets have torn in several different areas of the sheet, we have washed it as directed, the bottom sheet is in tact, with no problems.
I am very disappointed in this fabric, I paid full price for these sheets and the quality is not what I expected.

Very Disappointed

Sleep Number customer service

A year ago I bought a split king comfort adjustable bed so my wife could sleep and rest in comfort because of a stroke she had a few months before. We got the bed a month late, the sheets came a month later. Over a month ago I went to a Sleep Number store and ordered 2 more set of sheets which cost a little over $400.00, the receipt says they will come in 2 weeks, NOTHING! I've called several times and they don't know anything, no answer, except I'll get them when I get them. I am so angry that I bought a sleep number bed and I swear to God, I WON'T be going back to sleep number to buy anything else and I'm telling the entire Los Angeles School District and county employees where I work not to buy sleep number.
PS; the third time I called I was promised a free set of sheets for my bed because of the problems and then found out later the order was pulled and canceled.

Sleep Number 100 day refund policy

We have purchased a bed from this company Sleepnumber. Their customer service representative said that in case we are not satisfied with our purchase we can return it back within 100 days for a refund.
The bed was nothing like we expected, it wasn't comfortable at all. Comfortable bed was very important to us, because my husband suffered from a back pain.
We contacted Sleepnumber and said we wanted to get a refund, but they said that they were not able to give our money back. We reminded them about the 100 day period but they decided to ignore that fact.
We argued with them for a long time but lost the battle.
Think twice before you decide to buy from Sleepnumber.

Sleep Number customer service

I purchased a bed from sleep number for $5, 127.55 in march 2016. I immediately stared having problems with the bed and called for assistance. I was given the run around and told that they wouldn't do anything for me unless I did my own trouble shooting. For this much money I really thought that I would receive excellent customer service. Not so. Since attempting to correct the deficiencies with the bed I have receives harassing phone calls and emails. I spoke to one lady (jean) who asked me if I had my receipt handy, I asked why I needed to have my receipt and she said I will put you on hold until you find it. I hung up and called back and spoke with two supervisors (?) who continued to act like I was a ### for even complaining about the bed. I spoke with bob who convinced me to keep the bed and he would make sure everything was handled properly. I hung up with bob, after numerous sarcastic remarks feeling that maybe I had found someone who actually cared about a customer. I was so wrong! At 6:53 PM I received a call from home delivery in new jersey and she asked me to explain what my problems were, in detail. I said that I had already spent @2 hours talking with supervisors and I was not willing to explain it again. She said "I am in charge and if you do not explain the details of your complaint, I won't set up the appointment. Customer service at its worst. Do not buy from this company who treats complaints as if they were a personal attack.

We never got used to it, spent a lot of money and got mostly hype.. No comfortable settings. When I tried to buy a replacement 4" upper cover for the 'memory foam component' they quoted over $1600 because they only sell it with the lower 12+" cover I don't need. Also displays in wired units died so they wanted me to buy an entirely new PUMP! Never again!

From the very beginning I've had problems with customer service from Sleep Number. I'll often get told one thing by one customer service rep and then told something completely different by another one. I even mentioned that to the men who delivered my bed, and they said that was the biggest complaint they hear: that customer service isn't very good. In all...

Sleep Number unethical behavior and all out misrepresentations

We purchased a Sleep Number mattress at the Delafield, WI Sleep Number store. It's been a nightmare ever since. We were told that if we were not completely happy, and "getting the best sleep we've ever had" we could "just bring it back to us". NOT SEND IT BACK AT OUR ADDITIONAL EXPENSE...Right now I'm on another "hold" as I have called to get this horrible mattress out of our house. Do everyone a favor, if you have also had a horrible experience with them, make a complaint with the BBB and/or your state's consumer affairs dept.

Sleep Number select comfort/sleep number bed

MY OPINION: DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY. CUSTOMER SERVICE AFTER SALE IS NON EXISTENT. Buyers beware! Purchased in Jan 2016 from store in West Hartford CT. Was told $300 up-charge cost of Sleep IQ would be easily refunded if we're not happy with the online service that monitors your sleep and gives you a report online in the morning. We realized early on that we know if we had a good night's sleep by how rested we feel in the morning. We don't need a $300 online graph to tell us we had a restless night.

Tried calling the numbers for Customer Service as we had been directed by our Salesperson but all numbers had same recording saying "Please note that we have been experiencing heavier than usual call volume and that wait times may exceed 15 minutes. We apologize for the inconvenience, and a sleep professional will be with you as soon as possible."

Tried numerous times over several weeks to get through and its always the same recording. Then we noticed the website has the same BS line as a permanent part of the website as you can see here:

http://www.sleepnumber.com/sn/en/contact-us# which very loudly yelled "SCAM" to me. My take on this whole thing is its just a corporate level scam to separate you from your $300. They have no intention of servicing me or you. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NON-EXISTENT AT SLEEP NUMBER BEDS/SELECT COMFORT.

Sleep Number customer service after sales

Ordered P5 bed with modular base and legs. (Oct/4/15) Found out later that the bed frame we purchased did need the base and legs any more. Local store mgr stated just refuse the base and legs at delivery (11/24/15) . This we did and the delivery tech stated he would note the refusal and a credit back to my credit card used. On Dec 17 2015 after about 3 dz attempts on the phone to get in finally the phone rings and not a hang up, only to be put on hold for over 30 minutes. Finally a live person agent #30. She looks up my info and acct and informs me she has placed a service research in for my claim. Be 3 to 5 business days before results. Jan 4 2015. Again after about 2 dz calls and hang up due to all agents are busy. Hang up is at their end not mine. I finally get a live body after two 30 minutes holds listening to the same music. Agent #60 gets my info and puts me on hold for review. Later she comes back to inform me she has placed an order for a refund. The delivery tech never put info into systems she noted. Now she informs me that the refund is about 3 weeks in the out. I have NEVER had such customer service after the sales as noted here. I have will continue to inform people about my experience of the customer service noted. The only good news is that I do like my P5 number bed. GC Greenville NC

Sleep Number customer service and executive officer shelly ibock

I ordered a Sleep Number bed in early 2015. In March, 2015, Sleep Number sent me a foam insert to correct a too soft mattress. On November 3, 2015 I called Sleep Number to order a foam insert for the other side of the bed in order to even out the mattress and to provide a more comfortable mattress for my partner. On November 16th I called to inquired about why I hadn't yet received the insert. I was told that they were having trouble with shipping. On November 24th I called again - same response. Left messages with President, Shelly Ibock and with Supervisor "Max" at exgtension 687. Can never reach anyone when I call - On Nov. 24th Max left a message on my phone saying he had resubmitted the order and I should have it by Friday, Nov. 27th. Today, November 30th I again tried to call both the President Ibock and Max, to no avail. Have left messages for both - I still have not recei ved the foam insert - ONE MONTH LATER! And no one at Sleep Number seems to care. Sorry I ever purchased the mattress and I will tell all my friends to beware of Sleep Number and their disgraceful customer service. Sleep Number very poor customer service

Purchased a sleep # bed on 10/15/2015. Have heard nothing but excused for a new computer system that was installed. They called last week to set up delivery and set up of bed, inquired about sheets and protective cover. Was told that is a separate department, I would have to call customer service. Have called customer service twice and online chat once, no one can tell me if I will get sheets in time for arrival of bed install. All they say is it is ready to be shipped. The last person I talked to (Josh - Live Chat) indicated there was nothing he could do to track order, and told me it was my choice, when I informed him I would refuse bed and cancel order if bed showed up before bedding and no way of tracking if and when bedding would arrive. Very Poor Customer Service This is my third Select Comfort bed I have purchased and will be my last, also won't be giving out referrals any more. Oh Yeah - That's My Choice

Sleep Number bed

A short time after I got my dual chamber Sleep Number bed, one side wouldn't hold air and literally deflated on my husband overnight. Also, the digits on the remote are not fully lit so we can't see what number either side is on. I called Sleep Number's customer service number to get some information. I spoke with someone who was very rude and decided I was going to wait on ordering the replacement parts until later that day. I called back later that day, and spoke with Nicole, she was very nice and she gave me totally different information. I ordered the part at a 56% discount, this is insane but what else could I do? When the parts came 10 days later I was very surprised to find that they were REFURBISHED! WOW! Anyhow, installed the parts and guess what? A few months later, yep, leaking again. So, I contacted customer service again and the warranty was only 30 days on that refurbished part so I will have to purchase another one! Well I know how they make all their money! The bed is comfortable, I love that it reclines and massages but their is just too much hassle. I'm going to get a Tempurpedic!

Sleep Number complaint

We have one of these beds and it has sunken in the middle. (Not an issues if you want to roll toward the middle every night...) Called the company regarding the warranty. They pro-rated the warranty and we paid the $400+ to get, per their recommendation, new foam rails and the divider replaced (via said prorated warranty). We did this first after talking to the customer service folks and heeding their recommendation to do so, thinking this would solve the issue. It didn't.

Called customer service again, and again they pro-rated the warranty and said it would cost me almost $600 to get a replacement zipper enclosure/cover that houses the air chambers. (Expanded Queen, model 7000, purchased for $3200+ in 2006) No other options provided.

Customer service also said "I see you used your warranty to get the replacement foam rails/divider. So you should be familiar with how we pro-rate the cost..." So they can see your account when you call in, and how much they charged you for ANY warranty work. Just BEWARE!

So, that would come to around $1, 000 FOR WARRANTY WORK! I could buy a higher end box and mattress set and have money left over for that amount for WARRANTY work!

I haven't had a good night's sleep in over a year... 20 Year Warranty, my eye... what a racket! If I knew back in 2006 what I know now about this company, I wouldn't have purchased this bed! I hope, at least, that the saleslady got a good commission!

BE AWARE!

Sleep Number black mold

Bought a sleep number bed few years back. Not only has the bed chambers sunk, the matress topper, foam cover and mattress tubest are covered in black mold. Now I know where my morning coughing, runny nose and itching are coming from. Called sleep number. The sent out a new foam egg crate topper and air chambers, how ever we are still waiting on the topper. Since this bed.and size has been discontinued, the topper has to be specially made. That was 3 weeks ago... we contacted the company well over a month ago. We are still sleeping in the same old bed. Can anyone help me?

Sleep Number Black mold

I purchased the sleep number 5000 probably about 10 years ago, have always loved this bed.
I have had the problem of air seeming to only leak out of one side, mine. . . So i periodically take everything apart to check connections and such, flipping the foam pad around and securing all back together.
This morning [protected] i decided to take apart because i wanted to move the bed away from the wall and clean the baseboards and underneath the bed. As i proceeded to take apart, i was in shock with the black mold i discovered under the foam pad and on top of the air mattress. . . I couldn't believe it!
I have been sick for 18 days in a row, with a heavy chest cold, coughing mucus, heavy nose bleeds, sinus headaches and all along where i have been sleeping is loaded with this nasty black mold, are you kidding me?
I immediately stripped the bed apart and switched to my spare bedroom mattress, bleached the top of the air mattress and will probably replace the foam pad.
I more than likely won't call the company after reading the response most received after trying to get problems resolved, however, i will purchase a new bed, just not another one of these!

OMG - I just took my sleep number bed apart and saw black mold! I’ve been sleeping on this for I don’t know how long. No wonder I woke up with really bad swollen eyes every morning. Went to the doctor to get my eyes looked at, put me on steroids and pills. I never dreamed it was because of sleeping on my bed! I don’t understand how mold can get there on top of the air mattress and the foam looks pitted, I’m assuming that has black mold on it too. Great, now what. What do I do? Can I get the black foam and air mattress replaced? Please help asap!

Sleep Number saging matress, bad warranty

After owning the king size sleep number bed for three years, the bed sags toward the middle, causing a rolling feeling. The company is well aware of this common problem and after contacting them and doing some measurements they asked for, they determined that the cover had stretched over time and needed to be replaced. I asked them why in their advertising they claim the bed lasts longer than a traditional inner spring mattress, but after 3 years ours has obvious problems. By the way, my wife and i are physically fit and not over weight, so we questioned the cover stretching reason they gave us. We, however gave the company the benefit of the doubt and listened to what they had to say. They said that the warranty would pay for 64% of the "retail cost" of the new cover. They wanted us to pay the remaining 36% which was about $260. ! I told them that my portion probably covers their actual cost and then some! The warranty after two years is a complete scam and the customer disservice does absolutely nothing! Stay away from these beds, there are thousands of online complaints about them for good reason! I wish we would have done some research before purchasing. Don't be ripped off like we did.
