Skyscanner travelgenio

We booked with Travelgenio for our honeymoon to Tahiti from Auckland. We live in Sydney and made our way to Auckland the day before. We arrived at the Auckland airport to check in to our flight to Tahiti, only to find the flight had been cancelled 2 months prior. At NO stage where we notified of this change. We called the company, who were rude and dismissive. The first time I called the lady hung up on me. The second time I called I spoke to Fredricko, . After asking to his supervisor I was told to call back the hours later. I did this and spoke to Boris. He was very rude and unhelpful. He provided no empathy let alone compensation for the lost money on our accom in Tahiti and additional accom in Auckland. A terrible experience all round.

Skyscanner mytrip

To whom it may concern,

I write to you today regarding an airline that is always advertised through your site - Mytrip.

My husband and I booked flights with Mytrip after performing a Skyscanner search back in September last year. These flights were from Zanzibar to Heathrow on 21 February 2018 (Res No:MDMICC).

- When booking these flight the passenger names were entered incorrectly (Surname, First Name)
- I rang Mytrip to try to rectify the names and was told I would need to ring Qatar directly to amend the names
- I rang Qatar who changed the names for me & advised that they would send a re-validation request through to Mytrip they would need to accept the changes and all would be ok. I rang Mytrip who confirmed all was in hand
- Fast forward to 21 February 2018 - we arrive at Zanzibar Airport to be told our names are the wrong way round and we wouldn't be able to board the plane
- Qatar Airways apparently try to contact Mytrip to no avail & the plane leaves without us (note we are now stranded on our honeymoon)
- We have to fork out £1200 on new Emirates flights
- We ring Mytrip & finally get through - they re-validate the tickets at 1600 (our flight left at 1530)
- We advise Mytrip of our situation & what has happened - they ask us to send over confirmation of name change from Qatar & our new flight tickets which we did upon arrival back in the UK
- Every single week we ring Mytrip at least 3 times to find out an update & every single time they tell us that we cannot speak to a manager & they are looking into it
- W/C 26 March we ring Mytrip who advise us that they will provide a full refund of original tickets but they want Qatar to compensate us for newly purchased tickets - they say they will contact Qatar directly and will phone us back
- W/c 9 April we ring Mytrip again and they say they haven't heard back from Qatar. I ring Qatar who inform me that they have received no such contact from Mytrip
- WC 16th April I ring Mytrip again who advise they still have't heard from Qatar & have nothing to say re. why Qatar say they haven't heard from them
- It is currently 9 weeks since we have raised our complaint - and we are no closer to obtaining a refund even they are promising one

After looking at Mytrip reviews it is quite clear that we are not the only ones with issues with Mytrip & my husband and I find it absolutely diabolical that a reputable company like Skyscanner freely advertises their services when it is quite obvious they are con artists.

We are of course not blaming you but feel you need to be aware of what types of companies you are actively advertising.

All the best,
Sophie

Skyscanner travel trolley

I have always used skyscanner search engine to book flights worldwide. In this accession I booked 3 flight tickets to Dubai from LHR on the 5th June 2018 to 11 June 2018. I searched the engine and it lisited virgin Atlantic at £262 adult and £180 child. British Airways were listed £252. Since I was looking for most competitive and best deal I went with Virgin fare and was diverted to Travel Trolley. The full price was around £700 and I filled passenger details and went ahead to payment. I then got an email stating your ticket had not been confirmed that I need to calll. Almost straight I called an a agent told me that baggage was not Included. I was so surprised that a long haul flight and I said I don't want to go ahead with booking. The agent said you will face cancellation charges then . I asked how much is luggage and he replied £92.50 per price. That is so extortunicate . I asked how much to cancel and he said £130. The travel agency basically using forceful sales tactics which gave me no choice and ruined my holiday. skyscanner should not allow such crooks to be on their search engine. ths is exploitation of your sire and has ruined your reputation.

Skyscanner prices on your website are not true price at jet2

I have just booked flights through your website from manchester to lanzarote.
The out bound flight is with Ryan air, return flight with Jet2. The price quoted by your website for the Jet2 portion of the flight is incorrect. Your website quoted £72.79. When I went to the jet2 site it was £84.00. Obviously i feel misled on this. Can you compensate me with a refund of the difference please. Skyscanner service complaints

I attempted booking a flight from London stanstead to sharm al sheikh from 11th October 2018 to 22nd October 2018. The flight was for 6 travellers (2 adults 4 kids age 13, 10, 7, 3) I almost spent 55min trying to book this flight at a Costa of £755 every time I would confirm to pay it would show me an error message... eventually the price rose you £884.36 then to £1095. I am so angry and frustrated because I relied on your online booking service to be efficient but instead it would prompt an error message every time until the price rose to almost £400 within 55min. I have taken pictures of the price and happy to provide them Adnan evidence to back my claim. I want sky scanner to honour the first price I wasn't quoted as me and my children feel cheated and upset. My contact number and email is [protected]@gmail.com [removed].

Kind regards,

Skyscanner expedia.co.uk

Booking ID QII7C4
[location removed] to Adelaide 09/02/2018
Melbourne to Edinburgh 24/02/2018
Mr [removed] and Mrs [name removed]
Official Complaint

I write regarding the above booking that I paid for and received confirmation for on 07 February 2018 from expedia.co.uk whom your company had recommended, the reason for the late booking was I had been informed my [removed] in [location removed], Australia had passed suddenly and my wife and I wished to pay our respects. My [removed] and [removed] subsequently delayed the funeral, visas were applied for and came through on 07 February 2018.

I received a confirmation that my reservation was booked and confirmed from expedia.co.uk. I can provide a copy of same.

My wife and I thereafter attended Qatar check in at Edinburgh airport and presented ourselves for travel only to be told our tickets for travel had been cancelled and they could offer no explanation as to why.

The Qatar customer adviser that told us the gate would be closing in 20 minutes and there was no way we would be travelling on the plane to Doha en route to Adelaide. I then called expedia.co.uk customer service department but could not get through, however my wife did and I then explained the situation, the gate at that time would be closing in 10 minutes.

I would add that should we have got on the next available flight we would arrive in [location removed] after the funeral.

At this stage my wife and I were distraught not only were we travelling in very strained circumstances we were now under extreme pressure and duress to get on the flight and this reduced my wife to tears.

Expedia eventually reinstated our tickets and to date despite numerous telephone calls and emails have offered no explanation as to why they had been cancelled in the first place and to this date we are still waiting hence my complaint to you.

Qatar staff were excellent and rushed us through security and we were the last ones to board the plane with no minutes to spare.

I also noted on my booking that I can provide that there was information of my wife and I being confirmed on a flight to Seattle in January 2019? I again have asked why with no response.

In Doha we did not know if our connecting flight was ok and also were unsure whether our return flights would be honoured.

The whole experience caused us undue stress and could have easily resulted in medical complications, however thankfully nothing was forthcoming.

I booked the flight with expedia.co.uk on the recommendation from Skyscanner. I have advised exppedia.co.uk that I will contact Skyscanner but prior to doing so I had allowed them the opportunity to explain themselves and they have chosen not to despite assurances it was being dealt with. I would add that I also completed a survey online to expedia.co.uk on 27/02/2018 but have again received no response.

I think that you should be aware of the issues with expedia.co.uk as I see it they are representing you as a company

I look forward to hearing from you hopefully with an explanation from expedia.co.uk.

Yours faithfully

Skyscanner airport transfer

Date 24/3/2018
Customer Reference ES908000240
We booked a Mini bus for 6 adults from Malaga airport through Cab Force. One of a number you recommended. They arrived in a car and could only take four of us. They said they would go back and pick up the others but never did, leaving them stranded. We had to pay for another taxi.
The reviews on this company are appalling, why do you continue to recommend them ?
How do we get our money back ?
Thank you
Stuart Barrett

Skyscanner pricing structure

To the customer service team of treacherous Skyscanner...

Last night I checked flight prices for the day I wanted and all seemed reasonable. Today I went to book and the prices were still advertised as the same. By the time I actually clicked through to book 10 minutes later, your prices had magically jumped, and not by just a few quid either.

Are you seriously telling me that you think it is right to advertise a price as £676, but then actually charge £750 10 minutes later? This is a disgusting abuse of trading standards. Your prices have jumped £74 in 10 minutes. 10%+ extra! Especially as they were the same prices you advertised to me a whole 12 hours before that. Prices you advertise don't change in 12 hours but when you click to book they jump by some 10%+ in 10 minutes? You think you can blame the airline for this when you are advertising their prices? It is up to you as the advertiser to ensure that the airlines rates are stated the same on your website.

You should be ashamed of your practices and fleecing customers through tricky algorithms that we have no control over.

This is an utter disgrace and you are treating customers with contempt. You have just permanently lost a customer as I will book only through airlines directly now. Whatever you claim you could save me, you lie. At least booking direct through an airline I pay the same price that they bloody advertise.

I wonder what the likes of Watchdog and Rogue Traders would make of this? And I bet I am neither the first or last to notice this and complain. People do not accept being held over a barrel anymore and I will prove this by walking away with my wallet to another company that doesn't lie and falsify prices.

Should I not receive a satisfactory explanation/response, I think social media may also want to hear of your customer abuses. Not least because you refuse to engage with your customers by not having a dedicated customer service phone number or email address, and simply pass the blame on to the airlines. Disgraceful. I've had the same problem with Lastminute.com (they blamed Eurostar funnily enough!) and they have also permanently lost my business. Companies like yours do not deserve to exist and only by informing the wider public of your abuses will you ever change.

Regards

Tom Willard

Skyscanner extra charges for airport check-in

To whom it may concern,
For my Budapest to Milan flight with WizzAir, I went to the check-in gate, and they got 90 euros for two passengers regarding to the airport check-in. I believe this was an unreasonable amount for a simple airport check-in! I think in this case, they made a mistake. I had paid the full price of our tickets a couple of days before the flight, via online purchase.
I want this case to be considered, and if there was a mistake happened, I want my payment to be refunded.
Thank you in advance fo r your considerations.

Skyscanner ticket price scam

When booking via skyscanner for a connecting flight and after paying for then first flight the price for the connecting flight went up 240% although the initial price was still being advertised! (false advertising)
Note this company cannot be contacted and redirects the problem to the airline! Skyscanner has no phone number either!
These type of 'young' business men (boys) have no morals or guts.
Geoff.

Skyscanner airline ticket booking rates going 4 times up

I searched two tickets from Delhi to Vancouver and Calgary to Delhi for 19th June 2018 and July 7th 2018 return. The site mentioned you need two bookings. First booking was done for Delhi to Vancouver on 19th June 2018 for the price mentioned via Air China site. No confirmation mail or ticket was mailed by Skyscanner. Fortunately I had saved it on my laptop. Till date no mail has come to confirm my booking.
The horror started when I started to book the return journey Calgary to Delhi for 7th July 2018, it took me to Delta server and after filling the full information and seeing the rates quoted for two tickets as it reflected on Skyscanner, I went ahead till the credit card information and then the rate went up 4 times more. Thank fully I noticed and was left with only one way ticket. Why to hoodwink people by showing lower rates. It's been a week and I have tried many times to book one way return on Delta via Skyscanner but it jumps to 4 times more fare after taking the credit card information at lower rates.
When I thought of cancelling Air China one way ticket, they say you can only cancel through the website you have booked and there will be $75 each ticket charge. There is no way you can reach Skyscanner customer care or to find out how to cancel. One way ticket are more expensive as I am left high and dry mid way to my booking return ticket. I surely need an explanation as to why reflect wrong rates specially for Delta Airlines tickets when it's not real. Skyscanner is washing their hands by saying they are the search engine only. It's a big scam. One needs to read reviews before booking through them.
Best of luck to other passengers !

Skyscanner skyscanner

On Monday February 5 I was booking a flight through skyscanner for CA$620 and when I inputted all the information onto travel2be they wouldn't allow the continue button to click to confirm and pay for booking. All the correct information was inputted and even got another person to review to ensure accuracy. From this I went back to the skyscanner page to click back in and the price was gone up to $730.

Skyscanner huntington travel / fly far / flightnetwork

I booked a flight through Skyscanner and then chose one of their suppliers/online travel agents Flyfar/FlightNetwork to book the flights online. In one of the boxes I have accidentally put my name in "Dom" instead of my wife's name "Linda". The e-ticket was sent to me with the name Dom Muriel Valastro and I have contacted them to correct the name. They have instructed me to cancel the flight and re-book with the correct name rather than change it at their end. I have sent them a copy of my wife's passport assuming that by seeing that the passport number on the online form, this would indicate that a mistake had been made. They have referred me to the policy and terms and conditions and determined that changing "Dom Muriel Valastro" to "Linda Muriel Valastro" constitutes a name change not a name correction. The difference in this conclusion is that I need to (1) cancel my flight (2) accept a penalty of $700 (3) re-book the very same flight at now a much higher cost. A name correction would not require that. I have yet to determine if the mistake was at their end or mine so I have asked them to forward me the online form. My complaint is that their conditions, in this case, are grossly unfair as it looks like this oversight will now cost me about $900 and potentially mean that I may not be able to secure the same flight for my wife. I don't want to cancel the flight and I don't want a refund, I just ask that reason would prevail and that a simple mistake be corrected. I am preferred to cop a fine but not at $700-900.
