NetSpend not getting a new debit card.

Dear sir / madam:
I am sending this complaint to anyone will listen. I have an account with net=spend. I had problem with them. I still waiting for new debit card. Its been 7 - 10 business. And, next week i am getting my benefit from the government. I am disappointment of the bank service. They will get it around on may 11, 2015. That is 10 business. . I am going to the general attorney in austin, texas, and to consumer affair, and department of banks. Thank you very much.

NetSpend dispute process, no follow up

I have been with beyond for years. Over 5 yrs, maybe more. I've never had to file a dispute all of this time, recently i've noticed a charge that was not mine. I processed the dispute and was advsd I would hear something in 3 days. Well that was 4-7-15, today is 4-15-15. And I haven't heard anything at all! Nothing. I just sent an email advising that I would like a follow up or I will be making the bbb aware.. So we will see where this goes. I've never experienced anything like this. Although this is the first time, this is totally unacceptable. Never have I ever had a financial institution of any sort not follow up with me in regards to any matter, none the less one of this magnitude. I'm appalled.

NetSpend theft

Netspend put a block on my prepaid mastercard mar 27th after I deposited 1000 into the account. I get text messaging saying available bal 1, 158 or 1, 153 since on sat the 28th netspend took a $5 account assessment fee out. I wish I could of had $5 on friday before running out of gas or my paycheck that was direct deposited into the account but now my rent is late. I hate netspend and if they don't take the block off my card tomorrow I will be filing a lawsuit for grand theft.

Netspend removed the block. I wrote down the wrong reference number from netspend and that is why I had such a difficult time removing the hold. They did remove the block very fast once I gave the correct info. Other than this one experience my netspend card has been very helpful cheap and easy to use.

NetSpend won't remove block on card

I recently (Last week) did my taxes through turbo tax and decided to get my tax return on a netspend card because I had done it before for the 2012 tax yr and it was on there faster than I expected plus I am going into the hospital next week to give birth and just thought it would be he easiest method for me. I received my card in the mail today and opened it to activate online, I was told there was a problem and to call them. I called and it had me set up a pin number for the card and then transferred me to a costumer service agent. She asked me my name, address, and last 4 of my social. I did and then she told me that I had a block on my card. I would have to send in a copy of my social security card, photo id, and a current utility bill with my name on it. I don't have a utility bill with my name on it because I live with my spouse and nothing is in my name.

I go on to try and explain his to the agent and she says there is nothing she can do. According to their service agreement it states under fraudulent or criminal activity... "we reserve the right to block or cancel your card account or virtual account if, as a result of our policies and processes we detect what we reasonably believe to be fraudulent, suspicious or criminal activity or any activity that is inconsistent with this agreement. We will in rue no liability to you because of the up availability of the funds that may be associated with your card account and/or virtual account. "

My question is how can you suspect criminal activity and block me from my own account when 1) there isn't any money on the card yet, 2) I answered every security question right, and 3) all I was doing was activating it. If you feel that you were sending the card to the wrong person before it's activated why would you send it at all, just to inconvenience the customer?!?! I was on hold for a supervisor for 1hr 30 mins and that was after trying to get the agent to understand what I was telling her for 20 mins. As an already existing customer I am in disbelief. I needed this to be taken care of before going into labor and instead all netspend has done is raise my blood pressure and given me the run around.

I have sent emails to 2 different people and have heard nothing back. My next step will be calling irs and stopping the refund because I feel like the company is trying to scam me somehow. I will no longer be a netspend customer and I will make sure I spread the word around on social media and blogs. This is unbelievable and the customer service is horrible.

My account has been blocked and I just received my tax refund yesterday. There is 2500 sitting in my account that I can't touch. I pray I don't have to go through sending and faxing my whole life over to them, I have to pay my rent in 3 days and I'll get kicked out if I can't! I'm also prego and due in 4 wks and this is stressing me out SOOOO BAADDD!

NetSpend blocked account

I am thinking of filing a lawsuit against netspend and will if not resolved by tomorrow. I had my tax refund deposited to a card with this company. I used the card for two days and then without notice or prior request they locked my account & claim it is for verification of my identity which has already been done through a reliable source. .. The irs! I called was told to fax my driver license, ss card and utility bill and in 6 hours it would lift.. I was not provided a reference number. Called three times spoke to three different people to verify receipt of my fax... The third guy finally gave me a reference number and guess what they still haven't gotten it straight! To top it all off now I see there is money missing from my account with no explaination just gone over 100dollars just gone... Law suit is coming. I will gladly file a claim, pay the court cost and argue with them in front of a judge.

NetSpend card

Hi NetSpend company. I received a NetSpend Debit Card not too long ago and I tried activating the card but it wont let me. I then ordered a few more and the problem still occured. I am furious and highly upset. It won't let me activate my card! It keeps saying in under 13 years old, whitch I'm not. It then tried to transfer my call to customer service and I waited for about an hour. YOU GUYS NEED TO FIGURE THIS PROBLEM OUT AND HAVE BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE.

NetSpend poor management

The trainer named rachel altkens was very slandering and patronizing during the training session that began on 01/05/2015. She would make comments such as how she could care less about workers being late to training. At one point she stopped during a training session to explain how she was "starting to get pissed off" because one of the other black male participants was trying to explain himself. This past monday I asked rachel a question regarding the topic she was discussing. She answered my question but shortly afterwards she made a facetious comment saying "so dumb" that was obviously insulting to my intelligence. She has nonchalantly said in the class room how she could care less about anyone getting penalized or fired because she would be moving on to her next position. I found her choice of words to be disrespectful and I dont feel that I deserved to be down played and disregarded in the presence of other training participants. Secondly rachel along with one of the managers had my contract cut short leaving me unemployed again. I asked for reasoning for this from my recruiter. I was told that they decided to release me due to my performance or time to take the assessments. Although everyone being trained was given 2 attempts to make a 90 or above. I did make a 90 on my first attempts and a few on my 2nd. A few times I scored a perfect 100 after the first attempt. I was very proud of my scores and actually thought that I would be welcomed to the team. Well unfortunately for me I was around a trainer that obviously did not respect my efforts or time spent in her training class. She never set a exact time limit for us to take these tests. She would only notify a few participants of how much time she would give to complete after a short while. Let me include that I waited over a month for this position as a document review analyst and was never late, unprofessional, or absent for training. This past friday one of the other managers or supervisors from the netspend department came in to speak with the class. She would arrogantly comment about the weather and place certain individuals on the spot. At one point she asked me why I was not laughing at her jokes along with the other participants. I replied with being about business (For a better choice of words in a cordial manner). She made some insinuating comment such as "well you don't have to talk to them" and we will discuss business monday (The date I was released 01/12/2015) now I am once again unemployed due to nonchalant arrogance and poor judgement of character. I guess this is just another notch on the netspend managers belt and a boost to rachel's pride as having authority to abuse.

NetSpend charges

I received a netspend debit visa card for christmas, 12/25/14, after reading how to activate and the fees section I tried to return it to the place of purchase, they said because there was money on the card they couldn't take it back. So I decided try to activate the card and just use it one time. I called netspend on 12 27 14, after 3 people and over an hour on the phone they said it was ready to use. Today 12 29 14 I tried using the card and it was refused. Again I call netspend only to find out I had a balance of $39.50 out of $50.00 which I haven't spent a dime. I was furious and told them to cancel the card and send me a check for the balance. I was told I was going to be charged another $5.95 for canceling the card and I should have the check in 20 days or less.
This company is nothing but a scam. So out of $50.00 gift i'm getting $33.00 and change. This is wrong! This company should be stopped and should be made to return all and any money's they have stolen from people.
I'm also going to complain to the store where the card was purchased in hopes they will take this company's merchandise off the shelves.

NetSpend crappy customer service

I lost my original debit card when I lost my wallet and I applied for a new one so I ordered one and had it rush delivered to my home. Well when I called their so called customer service they could not tell me the shipper or tracking # and had no access to that info and by the way they are charging my account $25 for the shipping of the new card. And they have no way of contacting people in their own company to find that info out and this is customer service? I called corporate and you only get their automated service and unless you know an extension # you get nobody and no operator is ever available. Recommendation stay the hell away from this company I plan on moving my $$$$ to ally. Adios netspend you are austin texas crooks period.

NetSpend the wort prepaid card company

I had lost my debit card four days before Christmas which was horrible. I called netspend and asked to cancel debit card. I asked repvto expidite card cause I needed to have access to my cash before the holiday. I was told they don't have a expedite service in which they did. So I call and ask how I can have access to my money since I lost card. I was told if I buy prepaid netspend card I could transfer funds. Low and behold activated card and was unable to do that. Called the first rep who was rude told me it could not be done. No apologies for their mistake just rude. So I hang up call again spoke to another rep who said their was a block on card and that it would take 4 hours to come off. 4 hours later block not removed. Talk to another rep who didn't know what she was doing nor understood my plight so much I got angry and asked to speak with supervisor. She kept trying to not transfer me till I got angry. Spoke with supervisor and was told I could have paid 25.00 to have new card shipped. Then says it will take four hours for block to be removed. Still not removed here it's Christmas eve have no access to my funds direct deposit will come to this account. Bills are due and I have to wait till my card comes. I am so angry and upset with netspend and this is my second time and this was my last burned moment with them. Soon as I get my card I will close out account and will tell everyone not to use them. Poor customer service with no knowledge of business they are running!

NetSpend stealing my money

Iv e been with net spend for a number of years. They have never been good but it got the job done.. Well 2 weeks ago I went to put money on my card and was told it had a negative balance and I should call customer service, so when I did they said I owed 80 dollars. Dont know how I did (Its a pre paid card?) the reps told me that a person can have up to 3 accounts and if I opened another account it will have no bearing on the new account. I called 3 times in 5 days to make sure (Its christmas time and need my money) and was told no they cannot take money from the new account without my consent... Well guess what happens as soon as the account was opened those thieves stole my money. After I saw this I tried contacting them and was put on hold for 56 mins. When the manager got on he said sorry thats the terms and conditions... Really you thieves!

NetSpend net spend deceptive and fraudulent practices

Good morning my name is aaron christopher marshall sr. And I am a connecticut native residing in huntsville alabama. I hope my email reaches the recipient and their interests in the riches of good health and happiness. My reason for this correspondence is to make an attempt to alert consumers during the holiday season about a company that does not stand by their product and has internal issues as it relates to security and safety of your personal funds and or money. I have become a victim and want to empower others before the get duped like my wife and I have. On october 27th and 28th I purchased two pre paid net spend load packs from walgreen's in huntsville alabama. What my wife and I did not know prior to paying 307.80 for both cards was the fact that we had to request a debit card from net spend to load the funds on to. Once I paid the 307.80 I had to wait a few days for the debit card to arrive to my place of residence. I received the net spend debit card on thursday october 30th, 2014 and proceeded to call the net spend number listed to load the 300.00 onto my debit card. The 7.80 were fees for the purchase of both cards. What would happen next would truly and literally blind side my wife and i. Both cards were already loaded onto another net spend account without our authorization.Net spend has chose to implicate the customer in having to do something with the theft of these cards. What I have gathered from this incident is. Whoever has stole this money has to be an internal employee of net spend. An employee within the mid level or higher management team who can oversee any and all inquiries of issues of this magnitude and nature. I have spoke to an employee of net spend named "billy campbell". Mr. Campbell has informed me my money has been loaded onto another net spend account and there is nothing he can do concerning this theft of my funds. I was informed to contact the huntsville police department concerning theft of funds with an online banking company. The person who can steal this funds would have the capacity to control all avenues and areas of the investigation process without being considered a suspect in the theft of funds of their customers. I have filed several complaints and have contacted businesses who partner with net spend to inform them of what has happened to my money and the stand the company has not chose to take. I have emailed several departments within the net spend umbrella and one employee continues to be the only person I can speak to and make contact with. Mr. Campbell has more or less informed me my money has been stolen and has been applied to another account within the net spend accounts. My question was why can't you suspend the account the money was loaded on and proceed to inquire to the person owning the account how did he come into possession of another customer's money and or funds. When one person is privy to all avenues of the investigation process of funds stolen one would have to make an informed decision to believe the person stealing the money can very well be the same person managing all avenues of the investigation process. I was told know matter who I contact within net spend all communications will be reviewed on his desk. I am urging all who will listen to inform consumers of this practice before they experience what my wife and I have experienced. My wife and I were traveling to connecticut to see our oldest son and spend time with family. This has been very stressful on my beautiful wife and i. We do not have 300.00 just to blow in the wind. I am saddened the company would take the standpoint and implicate me. Please ensure all of your consumers are aware of this companies practices. There is no constructive way for this money to have been stolen other than a net spend internal mechanism having the ability to cipher the funds without the customer's authorization and or approval.Net spend is a subsidiary of tsys of columbus georgia. I have contacted the offices of mr. M. Troy wood and his subordinates concerning this very deceptive scheme taking place within the scope of his net spend company. I have filed a complaint with fbi internet crimes complaint center, the texas watch consumer outlet, the texas and alabama attorney general and still working on other avenues to uncover this very deliberate and organized scheme against consumers of net spend and or their business partners. Thank you for any and all consideration to inform customers prior to purchasing this pre-paid load pack. Please do not allow your consumers to experience what I have been dealing with since the 30th of october. I cannot sleep, eat or think straight knowing somebody can simply take your money and there is no cause and or action you can take to recover your funds.Respectfully,Aaron c marshall sr.

NetSpend wouldn't send me my 2012 tax refund

I filed my 2012 income tax through turbo tax. I chose to have the fees deducted from my refund. I never received my refund. After several (And I do mean several) long months of trying to track where my refund was, I found out that it was at net spend. They never sent me my refund (Which was to be in the form of a pre paid card) , since I didn't have a checking account. The first person I spoke to at net spend took my information and told me that my refund would be mailed to me within 5 business days. I thought this was awesome. Well, it wasn't awesome at all. I received a survey from net spend to fill out and after filling it out, it said that there was a problem with my account and I was to contact them. I did and they told me that I needed to send a copy of my drivers license and social security card. I did this and they then told me that this was not good enough because they told me that my drivers license didn't have the address where I currently live (with my grandmother). I went and had my drivers license changed to my current address (Which I have been living for the past month). I faxed this to net spend. This wasn't good enough. They suggested I have my grandmother change her utilities to have my name put on them. After about 10 more phone calls and about that many e-mails net spend said that my account was closed. They told me that my 2012 income tax refund was sent back to the irs and to the oklahoma tax commission. I contacted turbo tax and they thought this was odd that they wouldn't send me my refund. Turbo tax put net spend and I on a three-way call. That didn't do any good, they still said that they were sending my money back to the irs and oklahoma tax commission. I contacted both the irs and oklahoma tax commission and they said this wasn't a policy of theirs to have a 3rd party (That was supposed to send me my refund) to send it back to them. The irs sent me a form 3911 to fill out to help me find my refund. The oklahoma tax commission said they didn't have any form because this wasn't their policy to have a 3rd party send my refund back to them. I just want my money. I e-mailed net spend today and asked them what form they sent my money back, was it in the form of a check or an electronic transfer. I have not heard back yet. I will not recommend net spend to anyone or use them for anything.

NetSpend unanswered dispute

Hello -

My name is david ruffin and I have been a loyal netspend customer for quite some time now. I am writing you to discuss how displeased I am about a situation that I have incurred with netspend and it's employees that now has me at a loss with $163.95. To make a very long story short I had a dispute with a merchant qvc that resulted in me winning the dispute per mastercards guidelines. I disputed this transaction back in april and the dispute was won june 2nd. The representative that I spoke with back in april did not include the 2nd charge for the exact same dollar and the same merchant amount in the dispute. With this being the error of the netspend rep that u spoke to I called netspend back once I learned of the error and I was informed by several representatives that it was to late for me to dispute the transaction that was not included in february because it exceeded 120 days. I kindly explained to rep that it should have been included by the netspend agent when I called to dispute the first transaction in april - meaning that in april the same dispute should have included the transaction of $163.95 from qvc from both february and april making the transaction in february within the dispute time limits. To date, it has been new that two weeks that I have been dealing with this issue with countless lies being told from both customer service reps and supervisors from netspend. I was told daily that the dispute team would call or email me and that never happened. This issue was escalated several times by customer service reps and supervisors and the usury has still not been resolved and I have yet to be contacted from the dispute department or anyone else from netspend. I am on a very fixed income and $163.95 may not be a lot to some but it's the world of difference to me. It decides whether or not I eat on a daily basis. I would like for this issue to be resolved as soon as possible and I would like for someone to contact me as soon as possible as well. My contact details are below.

Yes it happend to me i cancel my netspend and got a new card so the merchant wouldn't take out of my account. net spend gave the merchant my new card number and they took out 700 dollars out of my account. my whole rent amount

im on a fixed income as well

NetSpend ripped off my money placed a hold on my account

I purchased a prepaid card for 40$ and because I have another netspend card they placed a hold on my card for my money because of a fraudlent policy stating some bs about they have to do security checked, after I went thru all there security questions generated for protection of identity and I verified it not I was a existing customer, so they asked for a list of additional information and said it was not sufficient, so they stole my moneys

This prepaid card sounded like a great idea, but what they lack to tell you is that there is anywhere from $1-$2.50 per transaction fee taken from your account. This should be disclosed up front.

NetSpend unauthorized transactions!!

Both my checking and savings account have been have been cleaned out! I immediately contacted them! An unauthorized account transfer often referred to as a p2p was sent to someone named julie white. To make matters even worse, my savings account was zeroed out as well, with no explanation at all. I asked her how someone could access my access codes and she just said, " it will be reviewed and we will be in touch. " that's it, that's all the response I received. I've been with them for 5 years. I've never had a problem ever before! I then asked her how long before I receive my funds back, i'm thinking 48 hours max... She response with, " it will be reviewed to see who is at fault, " how is this happening to me? I don't understand how I can have $4700 go missing? She gave me a claim number, which she had to repeat to me three times, cause she barely spoke english! I have like $80 to my name, hoping to find answers, I googled the problem and I was shocked to find thousands of complaints about netspend! How can the government allow this problem to continue? This isn't just the past 6 months, it's been going in for several years, people have lost everything due to this scam of a company! I have two questions 1. Why hasn't this been on national news? 2. Why is the government still allowing them to be in business? This is a very sad day for me... I'm broke and I have two kids to feed! Never mind the fact after reading all the overwhelming negative complaints of thousands of americans that have been robbed of their money... Never to see it again... I'm not very confident that I will ever see my hard earned money again either... Please whoever reads these complaints... I beg you to stop this company! It's not fair to sit back and allow hard working americans to be cheated! Never mind the fact that thousands of disabled veterans and retirees are being taken advantage of! I promise you if I don't have my money back into my account by wednesday 3/19/14... I will do everything in my power to bring down netspend. I promise you this, I will have no problem gaining support from every state in this country. I'm in the process right now of designing flyers to hand out at every tax place in my home town! I will dedicate every free minute I have to shutting them down!

I cant beieve netspend left a comment! Those bs words from them is just insult to injury however good they intended its still spitting in your face... I feel for you i have been with them over 8 years and never had a hitch. This morning a received a text saying that a hold for $316 has been placed by a certain company. A payday LOAN company that i defaulted on two years ago went to collections and i started making payments on and they just out of nowhere deducted full balance from my account. since it was still pending i called netspend cs hoping they could just do a stop payment or reverse the pending transaction. The lady on phone said i need to wait a week and call back and submit proof of resolution with the party. Ok even if i owe someone money i do t see how that is any of netspends business... i deposited $500 to pay a court fee and now i am screwed... i feel like my money isnt safe in my account anymore. Bottom line... netspend is fine for small transactions but i will NEVER NEVER NEVER do direct deposit or large transactions anymore. At this point i am better off letting some crackhead or junkie off the street holding my money. A loyal premier customer for over 8 years and we have to jump througb flaming hoops butt naked to dispute unauthorized transactions. I always shook my head when i heard or read so many complaints about netspend but thats just cause i never had to deal with their customer service. I am all for equal opportunity employment, but maybe customer support for a financial institution isnt the BEST JOB for mentally handicapped foreigner. This issue might have been my fault but it was complete #### on the phone. The lady even refused to let me speak to a manager. So frustrated.

They are taking money off my card with out authorization. They have tooken 8.00 so far and I haven't used my can since 12/22/15 so why are they taking money off my card. I want a refund and I want them to stop taking money. If they do not I will file fraudulent charges against you for stealing my money.

I have tried to use website giving to me by customer service to dispute unauthorized use of my card from 16 of aug through 22nd which amounts to about 400 I even had the person admit to the use of the card I do not have the convenience of fax is there another way to contact netspend to dispute the charges

This just happen to me today some company named watergate hotel in Ohio stole 140.00from my account and that was all i had for food and gas.i researched the hotel it doesn't exists in Ohio. And all she can tell me is they can't stop the transaction and that it will take up to 45 days to get my ###ing money. You would think they would stop the pending transaction and reverse my funds, im going to find some way to report there carelessness. I Need my ###ing and they make us suffer because they don't protect our money . Im gone call the better business b, to see what steps to take on filing. Complaint and getting my money back before i starve to

Well, I just bought two $300.00 netspend reload cards, and while I was caring for one child, I handed my purse to the other, she put the purse down to pick up some things I had dropped on the way to my car with the crying toddler... Needless to say, the purse got left behind... I drove back in a hurry when I noticed it and found it seemingly untouched. Sighed a sigh of relief and drove away. When I got home, I didn't notice that the strips were scratched off and continued to make an account on the netspend website... what happened? NO FUNDS IN EITHER CARD! That is when I realized that the strips were scratched off. YAY ME! I have now called customer service and they are saying they will start an investigation and the money will be in my account is 7-10 days...

I pray it happens, because I have 5 children, $1000 rent, and no money now to feed them or to pay the rent.

I have recently become a Netspend customer.I had my tax return direct deposited into my NETSPEND account hoping that it would be a safe and secure move.A few days earlier I registered my card for online so that I could keep track and manage my funds properly.On the same day my tax return was deposited, I received an email stating someone was trying to access my gmail account from several different locations(wasn't sure at the time if they had been successful with their attempt)however I called NETSPEND immediately to ask if anyone could possibly get access to my funds ect.After many many questions to the ANNOYED Netspend REP I was told there was no possible way whatsoever, I Took her word for it.BIG MISTAKE. As a single mom of 3, 1 disabled child and 1 recently facing medical issue, EVERY cent counts to me.With that being said This morning I went grocery shopping and my card was declined.After much embarrassment I walked home and called NETSPEND and was told that my card was probably cloned? I asked what that meant and she said she couldn't tell me that info? (btw there was alot of charges on my card that I never made for alot of money)So as began to cry and told her my situation and asked what am I to do about food and my electric bill, She then asked"don't you have any other money for that." I responded with I have nothing.She told me that I would just have to wait and there is nothing she could do to help me...That's not the worst part.She sighed and hung up on me!So here I am trying to find a way to feed my kids and keep my electricity from being shut off.Very Very insensitive people.I wasn't asking for a handout or for her to pull money out of her pocket, just a little compassion for someone who was just robbed of everything she and her children owned.

NetSpend fraudulently stole funds

I had paid my wife's insurance premium using my netspend card.
My wife had an accident and totaled the vehicle. We canceled our insurance policy and they refunded our policy payments retroactively to the date of the accident. The insurance company sent 2 refunds to the card they had on record (Netspend). One on thursday and another on friday. A day later my account was frozen without notice or explanation.

When I called customer service (And I use that title very loosely because they're third world country customer service representatives are barely understandable) they told me that my account was frozen due to fraud activity. Insinuating that I had committed some type of fraud.
They also told me that I can have my insurance company take the money back and send me a check. This would release my other funds I have available on the card. So, I called my insurance company and they told me there is no way to cancel a refund once it has gone through and accepted. They also told me that the card company can reverse the transaction on their end. But netspend reps claimed they are not able to do that, which is a blatant lie.
I have a merchant account and I know first hand that transactions can be reversed by the bank or the merchant.

The rep asked that I send them proof of the transaction. I immediately complied and sent them documentation from the insurance company. This was on saturday afternoon. They told me once they receive the documents it may take up to 8 hours to unfreeze my account and release my money.

I printed out the documentation from my insurance company. I faxed the paperwork over to the number they provided me with. I received confirmation that the documents were received.In addition, I also emailed the same documents to the email address they provided me with. All emails were confirmed received.

There was never any response from them that night. I called on sunday and asked for a supervisor. The phone rep avoided getting a supervisor by stalling and putting me on hold for 15 minutes. They did the same on monday, tuesday, and wednesday. I have been placed on hold several times, for upwards of 40 minutes each time. I have document these phone calls for future reference. The company's customer service tactics are proof that this is a criminal organization who intentionally refuses to help their customers and attempts to defraud them of their money.
Unfortunately, I have given up after spending so much time trying to rectify this matter and have gotten nowhere with these people.

I now believe the money has been stolen and I am forced to take legal action against netspend and meta bank.
In addition, I will be filing a criminal complaint with the new york state attorney generals office as well as the office of the comptroller of currency.
After reading about so many customers who have been robbed by this company I have come to the conclusion that the defrauded customers should file a class action law suit against these criminals.

Yes. Just happened to me. A dr office sent a refund to my account - the wrong account - by accident. Because the "refund" has already gone through - Bank of America told the dr office they cannot reverse it. So Netspend locked all the money in my account and told me the only way to release it is IF Bank of America - the dr's merchant - reverses it. But Bank of America says it cannot reverse it because it is already "processed." It might have been "processed" - by Netspend froze it - and will not allow me to access my money. You can save for your kid's college education for 10 years and because of one $186 erroneous refund you know NOTHING about - hits your account - you are locked out. I said just reverse the payment and send it back and Netspend says the merchant bank has to do it. But they won't. So why is netspend keeping ALL my kid's college money because of a refund I never asked for and know nothing about.

NetSpend restricted access

I love to save trees and nobody wants to deal with the extra paper of paystubs. My employer offers the online option. I can easily go online and checkmark all the paystubs that I want to print or save to disk. Or so I thought. Since I save multiple paystub detail reports at one time, I only go to this website occassionaly. Everybody I know here at HCA has reverted back to regular paper stubs because of the difficulty with accessing online wage statements. So here's my complaint: When I do go onto the site, it either will not accept any password I use or in this latest case, it says, "Your account has been locked out due to inactivity. Please contact Customer Support."...First of all there is no customer support. The only option besides trying to enter username/password is to click on the link for "Forgot my password". I clicked on this link and it let me type in my username on the next screen. When i click next, I get the same error message, "...locked out due to inactivity." So basically, the website is difficult to trust and requires that I wait until normal business hours so that I can call human resources and get the phone number to call the people in another state, ensuring that it's still during normal business hours. Every time now. This is a pain in the butt. This is my paystub.

NetSpend run! don't walk!

This bank is the worst I could imagine. Customer service has a difficult time understanding English. It took them two years to update my address after I moved. My debit cards were going to my old address and getting sent back. When they finally updated my address they somehow managed to blend my old address into my new address. Luckily the zip was right and the postal service figured it out. Where do I start? I was locked out of my online banking. They fixed it from their end but I was still locked out. I can get into my account if I delete the cookies every time before logging in. I get locked out from any pc or smart phone that I use, and have to delete the cookies every time. Their fees change and sometimes I have a fee from using a service free atm. The same atm I have used many times with no fee. One month I had over $300 worth of fees. No overdraft fees, just banking fees. I had a sub account for my daughter. Without notice they closed the account. It was just gone one day. They said they had sent me a notification letter on Oct. 16th stating it would be closed. They did send me a letter on October 16th, it wasn't a notification. It was a new unusable debit card for the same account that they closed. Forget about speaking to someone on the phone without a long hold time. They disconnected the call after a long hold time and I had to call back. It took me an hour to get through to a customer service rep about the sub account. Then she kept putting me on hold and she yelled at me once during the conversation. The only reason I stayed with them is that I had direct deposit set up. I'm changing banks. I've taken enough abuse from them. I recommend this bank for your worst enemy.
