Skydive Jacksonville / Poor service!

Me and two other friends of mine made appointments to go skydiving weeks in advance. Our appointment was for 12:30 but after arriving on time we sat around and waited for FOUR hours before we were able to jump (they claimed they were "backed up" but never gave us a reason why. I truly believe it was because of lack of organization)! The trailer we had to wait in had no air conditioning and we were hot and sweaty the whole time. It was an extremely unpleasant and uncomfortable wait. Not only that, they allowed one girl (who had an appointment at 1:00) to skip us as well as a few other people who had been waiting a long time. When I complained about this they claimed that she had somewhere else to be soon and could not wait. My friends and I also had somewhere to be that night, but they did not care. Only two out of the three of us were able to jump because we had to leave to make it to our appointment. Skydive Jacksonville knew our dilemma because we complained, but they did not apologize or attempt to make it up to us in any shape or form. They gave our friend a "rain check" and told us to come back another time. I am never going to skydive with this company again because of their lack of professionalism and customer service.

    Grow up!!! U are skydiving!!! So u have to wait without air conditioning. I've been there a bunch and they rock. Friendly and professional!!! Go back to the beach u stuck up ###!!!

    Do not go to Skydive Jacksonville!
    We arrived early for our 11:00 reservation. We were told it would be a two hour wait. When I asked why someone didn't call me I received an answer that involved her making only $8.00/hour. So, as her time is not valuable, I guess mine isn't either.
    I left and came back two hours later, only to be told it would be another hour. What I later figured out with the help of other employees, was the wait was an ADDITIONAL 2 1/2 hours (for a total of 4 1/2 hours) after our reservation!

    However, before we even got to that point the plane returned with its load of passangers and announced it was broken and grounded for the day. An employee later complained that the problem was the owner is so cheap he uses replacement parts that come from two planes that had crashed four years ago. What do you expect?

    When we asked for our money back - now get this - they said "No"
    Yes, it is true we signed a waiver saying we did not get our money back - and the waiver had everything else under the sun in it too - but we would never have thought that the company cancelling the trips would fall under this. After a number of us complained (obviously) They called the owner and another person talked to him - but still the answer was no refund.

    Of course I will take it up with the credit card company. But the worst part of this has been the way were treated by staff throughout th eentire experience. Waiting for hours and hours, being lied to (one employee admitted the company lies about wait times but stated "I hate when they do that.") Having poorly maintained equipment and getting no refund when they cancel for their own mechanical reasons.

    What else can I say. Don't go there...
