Sky HD Box / Changed terms of offer

We were already Sky customers, so when we went to Currys, to buy a new television for our study, we were pleased to have the Curry rep offer us a free Sky HD box, free installation and 3 months free on the multi-room charge. We signed up because the offer was for us to pay £30 and Sky would refund the £30 to our account. Also, the HD box was free. As mentioned, they also said they would not charge us for 3 months on the multi-room fee (£10 per month). So, basically, we pay £30 upfront and they would refund it and we would not pay for the second HD box in our house for 3 months. What a deal. The problem is that when we chased Sky about the install date a few days later, we were told that we needed to pay £199 for the box because we were a Sky customer and the offer was not for existing customers. Mind you, on the order form, our existing customer account number is written in the section for that purpose so the written agreement we have with Sky isn't worth the paper it's printed on. I filed a lawsuit in County Court for the £284+ we would need to pay to get the service they agreed to give us for free. More to follow. Also, we posted a story on OfficialWire:
