i agree completely that singlesnet.com is not a reasonable site, i joined and paid one month and then i called to cancel after a month and was told that if i let it go through they would offer me a years free of membership, who on earth does that? they are desperate and there are the same faces every time, no new people, all Fake

I joined singlesnet. and was on there for 6 months.My time had expired and I canceled olny to find that 5 months later they were still taking money from my account.
Like an idiot I recently joined again for a month and at 12 o'clock when my membership was cancelled.That was fine.But then my account was charged $24.95 for membership in ulocalsearch.com which I have never heard of.I was told that ulocalsearch.com is not afiliated with singlesnet. That is ### ! How did they get my bank account info.?Both are identical web sites.If you send those crooked ### any money after reading these comments you deserve what you GET.Which is SCREWED

They said FREE in the spam, and it is NOT free. You get teased from people who may not be real, and if you want to email, then it costs. Not even 1 FREE anything. Deceptive, and certainly a bad quality when trying to date. I did have a date service a long time ago that really was FREE. (When it started out.) And I really did get some dates, but it was not like this... Oh well. I just hate to spend money and then get laughed at. Not even the money, just such a damn insult.

You may seem latent to realize that you've posted your full name and email. I support your claim! But you should use a secure site like paypal for any form of transactions. Now! About them doing that I'd hit your card up and tell them that there has been some activity that is fraudulent. I believe there should be a lawsuit placed against these guys. Real hardcore one. People are getting toyed into their site. As example advertising on facebook which can be deceiving considering facebook is a solid site with a large user database... thats how I got dragged in but I'm not stupid enough to let my information be used no offense... but you have my support in your claim.

By the way you should never use your full name and information on websites period. Kid names / nick names or other affiliations to you is more appropriate. I'm sure your just flustered but please keep a cool head in problematic situations.

I have met a couple of very nice gentlemen through Singlesnet and I haven't paid one penny to join or for any other reason. As a matter of fact I have a date with one of my gentlemen friends tonight. He is very sweet, optimistic and charming.

It is a bit irritating that you can only converse with gold members though! All I can say is that you should never sign up with a credit card unless you are sure you will benefit. This is MY Personal rule and I have never been ripped off. You just have to be very careful..

Actually I met someone very nice from that site and am going to meet someone tomorrow. I think these people just do not know how to use a dating site properly.

If you look at someones profile it DOES indeed notify that person the you are interested whether you are or not. It never sent a flirt unless I sent one.

You don't have to pay if you want to write someone who does pay. I have had good luck with this site.

I agree singlesnet.com is very very lame, the whole thing is a fantasy imagination mind f..., if you r going to meet people, meet real ones, as dating sites are not real, they are very dangerous and can mess with you.Not being able to see the person intensifies everything, things happen quick and before you know it your'e hooked, you don't know who the other person is I find it very hard to believe that you can find someone genuine on these sites, it is a game of minds and I don't like them.P.S.If hes Irish, stay away!

Yes everything has its fair amount of scamming going on everyone is out to use any system. I have been able to pick out the scammer quite easily. They are usually the too good to be true ###ters. I have however met several nice gentleman off line from there and have several gentleman friends who are members. Everything needs to be taken with a grain of salt I do miss the forum they had.

I have been being approached by numerous fake female identities on my yahoo messanger Who say they have found me on singles net! I have never been a member nor even visited the site! I became strangely concerned because all of these women seemed to be interested in me sending them money for one reason or another.
Fearing I was being scammed I started looking for information about romance scams and low and behold discovered that these women where actually using cut and paste scripts from profile and peotry sites from all over the internet, right in the conversations we were having. For example when asked to tell me about them selves they would start talking and the things they were saying were duplicate content (word for word) . If you are contacted by anyone claiming to have found you on singlesnet.com or anyone else for that matter. Google strange poetic statements and descriptions about themselves, their likes and interests. i have been talking to 4 women for over 6 moths and just recently discovered that they are all using fake yahoo messanger identities. When i stopped communicating with them, I started getting slammed with singlesnet.com phishing emails! Go figure! stay away from singlenet.com and tell people because, though i'm not certain i think singles net is run by nigerian scammers. all of the fake women were from Ghana Nigeria and those ### got me to divulge my mailing address to them. They are very cunning and you wouldn't believe how they can walk you right through the conversation using cut and pastes scripts and work you up emotionally. It is really weird. Stay away from singlesnet.

I have been posting personal ads on another site. I keep getting female responses which give a link to a site with another name in it, but it takes you to Singlesnet. The response to my ad of course is a spoof by someone who is not a real person responding but an advertising ploy instead. I used to belong to their site and they misrepresent the number of members by making the same members re-appear over and over again on searches.

Singlesnet has taken money for a service they did not provide. The money should be either refunded or the service that was paid for needs to be fulfilled.

So it so strange with this site! I tried put profile of my co-worker, and this was open only once! and for second time the system - tell us...we no have this email address in our data base! then we tried for another email address and again was able open for once!
and for now, I happy I saved the email address my friend, because the system no open for me during one week and no any explantion from site. So I asked my freind..he see me there, my profile, my photos..he said - I am dissaperaid!

I met someone on the site, we are now dating and his profile keeps getting back on the site. According to him he signed off 2 months ago. How can they still use poeple's profiles and pictures when they "resigned". He could be lying but this site is a SCAM. I have gotten emails from people that aren't even online. I just sent them that question, lets see what/if they respond.

I have had several men have interest in me and all have almost the same sort of lines. One asking me for money and willing to come to me. Three men in particular. When I put two and two together I began to wonder that they where all in together on a scam or even terrorists and this has frightened me. I would never tell anyone to visit this site.

I think it is time for those wronged by singlesnet.com to form a class action lawsuit.
I have tried to reason with them on the phone and thru email.
they set up redundant billings that over drafted my bank account.
they don't care and I personally feel, they think they can get away with theft because they assume most customers are too embarrassed to talk about their use of a singles site publicly.

I do not agree with any of these complaints about singlesnet. I have been on there on and off for quite some time. I am a hot girl and have met some great men and some not so great. You have to weed throught the bad people anywhere you look, Ginger

I cancelled my membership months ago and am still receiving monthly charges of $19.95 per month.

most sites will let you refund if you cancel by 3 days, so join and cancle on the same day themn you have a month of service

just use pay pal to pay, so the date site dose not have your real card number, cancling thru pay pal is easy
