US Bank stopped allowing customers to view their accounts on the US Bank website. Instead, they've created SinglePoint Essentials, a buggy, clunky, unnecessarily complicated system. Every time I want to look up a statement, I get lost. I'm a computer savvy 24-year-old, and I've never been able to find what I want with this system without calling the customer service department (whose reps range from very helpful and nice, to terse and easily fed up). I told one rep, "I just want to see the ACTIVITY for the last month. I don't want to see any information on a day when nothing happened in the account. You can see how that would be a useless piece of information, right?" The nice man said, "You'll have to print out a Previous Day Summary, every single day to get that kind of information." I said, "But that defeats the purpose of an online monthly statement, doesn't it? What is the point of the 'report filters' if I'm the one who ends up doing all the filtering?" His answer: "I'm sorry, that's just how it works." He was very nice, but this is BY FAR THE WORST online banking experience I have ever had. I will NEVER recommend US Bank to anyone, simply because of SinglePoint.

I agree with all the above...It's 2023 and apparently nothing has changed since this original review was posted. The Single Point system is a joke! Even the deposit imaging only shows the deposit slip, not the check deposited. This system is an accounting -book keeper's nightmare. I thought we'd be getting an upgrade from Union Bank. NOPE! Absolutely horrible. Why can't we have the same system the personal-retail banking side has? So much better. I feel like Single Point is from the early 90's when things haven't been figured out yet. I just want to click on one account, see all the transactions, click and print and be done. And get monthly statement images. I'm glad I'm not the only one frustrated. Unfortunately we have like 20 different accounts there and it's going to take some time to try to switch banks.

How was this resolved? It is now June, 2023. The poster's complaint exactly describes the Single Point system that I have been forced to use since my bank, Union Bank, was acquired by US Bank.

What a nightmare and sorry excuse for a banking platform. There is no simple, obvious way to view account activity for the past month. For each account, you can run a pdf statement of the last monthly statement, and you can see activity, if any, for the current day or the preceding day. There is no screen that you can call up to review all recent transactions over, say, the past 30 days. That is unacceptably horrible.

In fairness, US Bank's platform for individual customers (its "retail platform") is excellent. But it requires its business customers to use Single Point, which has some good features, but which does not provide a simple way to say all recent transactions for each account, as I said in my original comment. That is a fatally bad shortcoming. We are seriously considering changing banks because of this failing of Single Point.

Indeed absolute mess designed by 12 year old for 8 year old. Horrible design, cluttered can't eve pull checking account number: "We can't show your account number right now."

I agree with everything stated above. What bothers me is that I have to pay $15/month for online access to all my accounts in one location when other banks offer this simple feature for free! If I don't want to pay for the Singlepoint access, I have to have two different logins: one to see my checking and savings accounts and the other to see my credit line and credit card. If I want to see my SBA loan balance online, NO SUCH LUCK! I'm now considering moving all my accounts over to Chase.

After opening several commercial accounts with USbank (assuming their online access would be superior) and experiencing SinglePoint firsthand for the first time now in April 2017, it sent me scrambling for what I must be missing. Our company uses other banks and credit unions along with their online access programs so we assumed it would be a small curve...I apologize I was wrong. Elusive Reindeer (above) mentioned, "I just want to see my monthly activity" and was retorted with one-day-at-a-time, so far as I can see this hasn't changed. A few youtube searches for help rendered scarce activity (not a good sign) and internet searches appear scrubbed of serious reviews, tips or tricks and is chock full of ads for the bank. Thanks to all for posting, this will cut our losses as we haven't fully funded these accounts and will now scramble elsewhere but will "first" check out their online program before opening accounts. absolutely agree! it is truly inefficient old system. the support is only 7am to 7pm central time not considering business owners on the west coast. not a single business owner i know that goes home at 5pm. our real work begins after 5 because we run our business during the day and at night we need to be able to reconcile and do other banking needs. I have not been able to get my bank statements for the past 3 months because of this buggy system and i have not been able to find the time to call them before they close to address my issues. it is by far the worst system i have ever come across in my 20 year business. the sad thing is they know they got you as the customer so they don't give a ###.

Single point is a confusing waste of my time. Way too complicated to make an online deposit. My company uses about 100 of their mobile check scanners and over half the time they do not work. Scanners never want to read checks, always has issues with multiple checks even when it reads all of the numbers on the check. QAlways seems like it needs an update but never tells you that one is required. Some kind of Altova is required whatever that is. Doesn't tell you how to fix it, just does not let you do what you want to! There has to be a better way or a better banking outfit that we can use!

Wow! It's good to know that I'm not the only one who feels this way. What a complete and utter nightmare! It's also nice to know that it's now July 2012 and these posts are much older and nothing has changed. NOTHING! My company used to bank with Wells Fargo and never did I have to call tech support, let along twice in one day to get help with using their system. I told the rep that it was not a very user friendly system and she asked me if I had watched the tutorials on how to use the system. My answer, NO. Are you kidding, I told her that a computer, savvy minded person should not have to take a tutorial to use their system. I think that says it all, I'm not impressed and have nothing good to say about the entire banking experience with them.
WELLS FARGO I MISS YOU!

Yes I also agree with the above comment. This is the worst online bank website. How is singlepoint supposed to help a business account? When my accounts first got switched over to singlepoint they were not able to switch the credit card over with it. So I no longer had access to my credit card online or to even pay it off with one of my USbank checking accounts online.

I agree with the above comment. As much as I hate Washington Mutual (now Chase) I will have to move my business account. This is the worse banking internet system I have ever tried to use. I build websites and I can not even work my way through this system... to bad because the people at the previous PFF Bank thats now US Bank are great people. They are going to lose a lot of business customers..3808f
