My mattress nightmare started 6 years ago! And to no avail have I had any luck. Im grasping for straws here to find out where to get someone honest on the phone from simmmons beautyrest to do there job as a "quality" company who sets "high standards of business conduct with honesty and ethics" ha ha hahahahahahaha! (right from there website of course) besides the sagging issue weve endured over the years,... We also have a high chemical odor issue. It smells so bad of chemicals that I have to encase my mattresses in matress bags with a mattress pad on top of that and 2 blankets over that then my sheet. We cannot sleep otherwise bc the chemical odor is so bad. I had a service rep come to the house and they actually went to great lengths to tell me it must be body odors or home odors absorbed into the mattress and that my son must have had accidients on his bc he is so young.! After the rep had to smell my mattresses he actually admitted it was a chemical odor but it ws a normal chemical odor and that my nose must be too sensitive! Hmmm, so the high chemical content that they put into out mattresses is normal! Do you know that the newest regulations make it okay for these ppl to put 27 times more rat poison in our mattresses than our bodies can handle each night? One rep told me that simmons came out with a new greener and safer mattress. But of course im getting no help with either the sagging or odor! I even tried calling all the news stations and have never gotten a call back! They are hiding something!
Oh, and apparently im the only person they know of that has had any complaints with a simmons mattress! Im so glad I found this website! Doesnt make me feel like im crazy anymore!

Simmons beautyrest is the WORST company to deal with. Ive had problems with sagging, has had our mattress exchanged 3 times and still the same body immpressions with in a month were left in the bed! Now ive noticed an odor, its so bad like chemicals, Ive been on the phone with these bozos and getting nowhere! They say Its the odors in my house! Huh? what? In fact, one salesman had the audacity to tell me it must be because my son was so young. Yeah, he was trying to say my son peed the bed and therefore it stinks! Hmmm, ...well we have mattress cover to protect that problem and I surely dont pee my bed!
Our mattresses were purchased at the same time. The amount of chemicals they pour into our mattresses is enought to kill a horse, but hey, at least they wont start on fire right!?!
Ive had endless conversations with the store, manufacturer, sales you name it. Our prior matteress we had for 14 years without a problem, and now weve had nothing but problems for 5 years! The mattress tech actually told me it WAS a chemical smell and that MY nose must be too sensitive! The report claimed "No UNUSUAL odor!"
Hmmm, No UNUSUAL CHEMICAL ODOR ENOUGH TO KILL A HORSE! that we breathe in as we sleep, and your body obsorbs it, arsenic, 27 more times the limit a body can absorb safely!? at one point one of the sales techs acually admitted that simmons has made a new mattress that goes Above and beyond those chemicals to prove to be MORE GREEN and MORE SAFE!

We have a Simmons Beautyrest bought in 2013 with an awful chemical smell as well. It's my daughter's bed so I never sleep on it but the one time I watched tv with her in her room I could smell it, wasn't sure what it was but she couldn't from being so used to it I guess but she has been having migraines since then but I never thought it could be from this until I borrowed her blanket a few nights ago. Her migraine pain has been recorded in her file at our doctor's office and at the hospital. I am one very angry mother right now as she has suffered and missed a lot of school. I am definitely going to push this until it is rectified. If anyone has any advice I would greatly appreciate it. Please email me at michtin74@gmail.com

Sorry re serta purchase above - I meant I had that same problem with Serta not Sealy. My apologies.

I had that same problem with Sealy with the chemical (foam/plastic/terpetine smell, the same way a new car has a smell, or this suitcase I bought at Winners, which is bad for your health) and was just about to buy the Simmons Extra Firm to alleviate that problem. The first Sealy sagged even before I got into it for the first time, even with the box spring. The second one, which is a brand new release of the same model and is definitely better, except it had a huge rip in the same on the bottom, AND it still sags, but much less that the other one. Tight top does not equal firm. Even thought it is not a Euro top, it has a cushiony feel, which would be fine if not for the sunken middle. Thank you for posting this. Companies will do anything to keep your money, so make sure that your bed had that middle leg and that you are using a box spring. They have a problem even if you said it was on the floor. They may not exchange it otherwise.

We Bought a Simmons Beautyrest Greektown Euro top queen mattress in 2010 and I noticed a bad chemical odor in our bedroom and I could not pinpoint where that smell was coming from until I put my nose right on the mattress, it is so bad that I feel like gagging, I wanted to post on here before I call the store where we bought the mattress from. If anyone can help me with suggestions on how to resolve this with either the store where we bought it or contacting the company directly I would appreciate it, you can email me at s1127452011@live.com

Our fiasco started in '06 when we bought 2 high quality Simmons mattresses. One for us and the other for our youngest son and his wife. Within no time both of these began sagging in the middle and you couldn't sleep w/o rolling toward the middle which when fought all night long made for a terrible nights rest and backaches. We were able to get the first 2 exchanged and we even upgraded out of our own pockets (mistake). Immediately these next 2 began the exact same thing. We moved away from the area and where we moved there weren't any stores so we went through the factory. We fulfilled every obligation from a warranty standpoint but were denied as they said the mattress is "continuing to shape to our bodies". This may make sense if the problem area was near the edges of the mattress but it's right in the middle. Since '04 we've purchased close to 10K dollars worth of Simmons products. The first few we bought have held up but I will not purchase another one as now we're close to 4000$ in the hole and an air mattress from the local discount store is more comfortable than these pieces of trash. I would bet there are thousands of examples like this but most people just don't want to take the time to mess with it. NO MORE SIMMONS for the ZIMMERMAN's!

We thought we were buying a quality mattress (Beautyrest World Class) but after 3 years we have two trenches where we lay. It is the type of mattress that cannot be turned over. We remodeled our house 2 years ago and I lost the paperwork on the mattress so we cannot even contact them for warranty. But as the two postings above, I am sure we would get the same run around as they did.
We will NEVER buy another Beautyrest mattress. This brand is all hype. Maybe they used to produce a good mattress years ago but not anymore!

Could not agree with these posts more. Bought a queen beautyrest on 9/28/07. The mattress started sagging around summer 2010. I contacted simmons on 1/17 and they scheduled an inspector to could out to look at the mattress. The inspector used a weighted string placed across the mattress with a ruler to measure the depression in the mattress. However, the inspector's tactics were very underhanded. He pressed down on the mattress but before he took the photos he talked to me about the acceptable numbers that simmons needs to see before they will consider the mattress defective. Then when he was done talking he took his pictures. Looking back on it now I cannot believe I did not catch this trick at the time. By the time he took the photos the depression number was at 1 3/8 inches, this is what he wrote in his report. Coincidentally simmons requires a minimum of 1.5 inches. So my mattress was off by 1/8 of an inch. If he had taken the picture without talking to me it would have easily ready 2.5 inches. After this I received a letter in the mail saying the claim was denied and the level of depression that we had was considered normal wear and tear BULL$*&$. I sent 4 emails to customerassistance@simmons.com requesting the contact information for a supervisor or manager with the warranty department, I never received a response. Today I called them and the customer service woman that I talked would not give me any contact information for a supervisor, she said I could leave a message and she would make sure it gets to the supervisor... yea right, I'm sure, just like my emails were replied to. Then she said that my warranty claim had already been denied and I could open a new claim again in 90 days but "I would just be wasting my time because that one would be denied too" ... those were her exact words. What a despicable company with despicable customer service reps. I am going to invest in a memory foam mattress as soon as I can afford one. I am also going to cut the pillow top off the simmons mattress and take video of what I am sure will be defective coil springs (which is the case with the majority of beautyrest complaints) and I will then post this video online. I have already submitted 2 BBB complaints and I am going to spend as much time as I can getting the word about about this garbage company and their products. I already told my story to 2 women at a sears department this past weekend and steered them away from buying a simmons mattress (they bought a stearns and foster instead). At least I know that by word of mouth I can get some level of satisfaction by informing others about this company, their horrible products and awful customer service.
