Shoppers Drug Mart spraying of perfume

Thanks to a person spraying perfume samples on people at the Nordel Crossing Shoppers Drugmart location, I now have a migraine - and there is no effective medication for my migraines, so thanks!

It took me years to enter into Shoppers Drugmart stores because you have to walk through the perfume section. Eventually, the perfumes stopped being sprayed in store, and I felt free to shop there - until today.

In a world where so many people have sensitivities, it is offensive to purposefully spray scents in a setting that people have to walk through to get their medication.

It would be nice if Shoppers Drugmart had a way to contact them directly about such things, but no such luck. There is a small box to ask a question. I guess they'd rather not hear from customers.

Shoppers Drug Mart shoppers drug mart

You know what is awesome!?! Every single time I go to shoppers drug mart I have to wait in line with 12-15 other people. People in line... Into the isles. One lane open and 3 of them closed. Every single time I have gone to your store the whole line has refused to use the self checkouts. People are pissed off and people are yelling for staff to get more staff. They are tired of people being told to go to the store to work or to wait. I agree with them 100% as I too am one of those people. No wonder why people do online shopping so much! You give us no incentive to come into your store - we can sit in our homes nice and comfortable and not waste time waiting a half hour in line or scanning and bagging my groceries for free. You aren't paying me to work there so why should I do an employees job? You as a multi million dollar company need to see that you are hurting your business just to save $15/hr paying a couple more employees. I have watched people leave carts full of stuff behind and put stuff down to not wait in line. You are doing more harm then good and pretty soon you will see saving a couple bucks will cost you alot of money! I'm done with your store. It's very easy to see there is no reason to shop there anymore.

Shoppers Drug Mart hp notebook

I purchased a Hp Notebook yesterday (December 15th 2018) plugged it in all night and it hasn't charged since. It turns on says it's not charging while plugged in and at 0%. I called my local store Shoppers Drug Mart where I purchased it at 2015 Long lake road, Sudbury, Ontario Canada. P3E 4M8. Told them my situation and they said there was nothing they could do about it. I also showed up to the store same day and they flat out said they couldn't return it even though I had no way of knowing it was defective when I bought it. They act as though they have no return policy what so ever and it it totally unfair that I got scammed like this. I was told to call the manufacturer which I also did and they said to return the item where I bought it and they said that the store is deceiving me if they do not want to take back my item and give me my money back. I am also very disappointed that it says no where on the receipt or anywhere that it isn't refundable they don't even tell you at the time of purchase which is very deceiving. And I had no way of knowing it was a final sale product. I'm very disappointed in this stressful experience. I demand a refund because I will not stop pressuring this issue until I get my money back.

Shoppers Drug Mart blood pressure monitor

Hi, I bought this BP monitor life brand from Shoppers drug mart in Surrey BC few months ago. The cuff got inflated. I went to the store to ask for extra or where to order, no one knows. It is their brand how come you can't even help the customer for your own brand. I have been still looking for the cuff. Even the box itself doesn't have customer service phone number. Now I don't know what to do ? Spend money again and how long the next one last

Shoppers Drug Mart auto check out / employee

First off... I have never filled in anything like this before, however, I was so agitated by what just ocirred about 30 minutes ago. I was with my daughter... Had 3 items (razors, face wash, candy canes). I was using the self check out as I always do and one of the employees, very frantic... Was in my face about scanning my optimum card (I never forget). I explained to her that I scanned it already and I appreciate her enthusiasm... But i'm fine. She then starting pushing buttons on the screen to "make sure" and instead... Redeemed my points. I had zero interest in redeeming them as I always save them up for a large purchase at some point. She then tried for about a half out to fix her mistake. The store was packed, people were annoyed, she had no idea how to remove the transaction... So I just said, "fine" don't worry about it. But next time... Don't touch the screen when someone is paying and interfere unless they ask for help. So I lost my 10, 000 points and left extremely frustrated. My daughter then ended up late to her dance class. I would at minimum appreciate having the points put back on my card or for that matter would appreciate "something" for an incredible inconvenient experience. I am including the receipt so you can see exactly what occurred.

Shoppers Drug Mart cosmetic staff

Cosmetic staff refused to help regular customers to their face because they only deal with cosmetics. That is terrible customer service
No staff member should be allowed to treat customers anyway they want. They won't even ring in customers when the front cash area is lined up and some of these customers had carts Full of products. They need a visit from Human Rights

Shoppers Drug Mart bad customer service and gross incompetence

I lined up to drop my (prescription: refill) in this Shoppers Drug Mart (Ghulam Rabbani Pharmacy Inc.) in Morningside and Kingston (Morningside Crossing), Scarborough. Two receptionists in the drop off section were talking to and laughing with each other paying little attention to the line. Got pissed. After a while, a receptionist said, "Hi". I told her "I'm here for a refill of my medication". I gave her my id. She gave me a buzzer in a grumpy face.
I'd been waiting holding my buzzer to buzz but it didn't buzz in an hour. I went back to the reception (pick up) and the guy saw my buzzer and told me with annoyance on his face, "You've to be patient, this buzzer will buzz when your medication is ready."
I came back to my chair. Waited almost another hour, buzzer didn't buzz, nobody called me to pick the medication.
After almost two hours frustrating wait, I went back to the reception (pick up) again and explained to a young man. He checked and didn't find my medication on their usual medication tray. After a while, he got my medication and gave me.
I asked him why so late. He replied, "The reception in drop off didn't add the buzzer number in your file to buzz you."
Got pissed. Asked for the manager, he came and when I saw him my first impression was he is severely incompetent.
We had an argument, he didn't explain why there was no supervisor/manager on the floor to watch/check the processed medication that was sitting somewhere without any notice for almost two hours. He didn't say why someone didn't call me when my medication was ready, and when a buzzer was not added to my file because of their mistake?
Left this place being pissed. In the previous couple of experiences that I had, disgusting customer service with a rigid face, bad attitude, more process time, and less explanation. Simply disgusting.

Just to add:

BBB (Better Business Bureau) rating of "F" not surprising at all - company website makes no provision for a customer to register a complaint or request resolution by e-mail. ""Customer Care"" 800 access yields no useful response / resolution.

Website meds renewal attempt yields continuous loop around "captcha"

Phone contact attempts ("new phone service") wait times 10, 15+ mins. This is a bad organizational culture.

Shoppers Drug Mart unprofessional pharmacy employee store 1230 2954 st joseph blvd

Came to refill a Rx today (Sunday Dec 9, 2018) & received awful customer service from KATHERINE (a pharm tech? - she says her last name is Francis). Been shopping at this location since it opened & filling rxs before 2013 .

I've had a few interactions with KATHERINE before (over the phone/in the store) & on those occasions she has been rude. When I came in today & my rx was not ready she asked me loudly if it was my "xxx" rx that was supposed to be filled. 3+ customers were around the pick up line when she announced this. I don't mind that my rx wasn't prepared, however; the manner in which she spoke to me and her *LACK of CONFIDENTIALITY* is what upsets me. It is my understanding that health information should be protected and discretely discussed with customers...? and that customers should be valued and respected.

KATHERINE lacks professionalism & am concerned as a loyal customer of this store. It is where I refill my prescriptions on a regular basis, spend hundreds of dollars on various products for my children & elderly parents, and collect & redeem Optimum points. I have received excellent customer service from Lindsay (Pharmacist), Cody (Pharmacist), Tamer (Pharmacist) and Tina (pharm employee) in the past and am shocked at the contrast.

Perhaps KATHERINE can benefit from more training regarding professional communication & respect for customers? I expect more from Shoppers Drug Mart and those who handle my private health information. I don't feel comfortable and will not be returning to this location. Very disappointed since it is such a convenient location for my family & I. Please free feel to email me should you have any further questions.

Thank you.

update- Katherine called me over half hour ago (after I left the store) to tell me the reason why my prescription was not filled the last two weeks. I understood this clarification and I explained to her not to worry as I will be refilling and renewing my prescriptions at another pharmacy from now on because I did not like how she does not practice confidentiality. She then PERSISTED that she was not loud; continued to ask about why I would try to go elsewhere; and that she was not worried about my complaints about her. Katherine: "OH I'm not worried at all".
...umm?
If your phone calls are recorded maybe she can use the recording to learn from it.

Shoppers Drug Mart beer store gift card

Nice Christmas gift, $ 25.00 Beer Store gift card. Cahier at the Beer Store tried to redeem 3 times. Doesn't work. I understand this has been an issue at Shoppers Drug Mart. I went to the Shoppers where card was purchased and was told I had to deal with it online. Am I supposed to believe Shoppers is stealing from its customers, that's a rumor I heard?

Shoppers Drug Mart prescriptions

I have been dealing with the Shoppers on Wellington St in Barrie. They have made mistakes on dosages and then blamed the doctor, have lied about faxes not received from doctor when pharmacy had told me it had been received? I`ve had it with them and will be taking my business elsewhere! I`ve been waiting since 4:30pm for antibiotics. It is now after 8pm and they have changed their story again about not receiving the fax from my doctor! These people are not fit to be working with medications!

Shoppers Drug Mart pharmacy

Ask for rx to be refilled. When I returned the next day as agreed. One rx which is only sold by the one month box and sealed was only half a month. 3 other rx were only for a few days instead of a month. I am disabled and bus it and do not need to only get a couple of days on I much needed rx. A call saying they were not ready would have been appreciated.
Thought having Shoppers fill my 7 rx was a smart idea. But I'm an idiot. Will definitely be changing to a more reliable pharmacy. And twitter and facing booking about this one.
Checking online I guess I'm not the only one.

Shoppers Drug Mart customer service

Our Shopper's recently have had the self serve cashes installed, and I shop their pretty frequently. However, since these machines have been installed in the store when it comes to customer service looking for help at either the post office or cosmetics or even for the long line ups in the self serve cashes, their is none on the floor. I've been there a few times where the line up, was about 12 ppl waiting to use the self cash and no cashier were to be seen during this time. On another visit to the store, I was ordering pictures, and required a staff member to use their code to continue to print them, I saw a staff member close by and asked for some assistance, and she told me she was on break and kept walking by into the cosmetic department.

Shoppers Drug Mart product in flyer

I was at shoppers drug mart in Elliot Lake Ont. at 8 a.m. This morning, the first day of the ad. I wanted to purchase the Acer notebook for 349$ with 20 times the points and the only one in stock was an empty box. When asked if there was more coming the employee did not know. He was polite . We need this for my son as requested by the high school he attends. He has ADHD and needs it to do his assignments. I don't think it is right when they have none that were in the flyer the first day of the flyer. Please let us know if any of the stores have one that can be shipped to the Elliot Lake store. There is no other place to buy one where we live. Our e-mail address is [protected]@bell.net and our phone number is [protected]. Please let us know as we need this as soon as possible for our son. Shoppers Drug Mart service

I was just RACIALLY PROFILED by a SHOPPERS DRUG MART EMPLOYEE, Avondale and Bramlea location 😱😱😱

Dear Shoppers Drug Mart CANADA...I recently went to one of your locations off of Avondale in Brampton. There I was minding my business as I was looking at some PC teas I was considering buying when "lucky" me, one of your employees walked down the aisle and passed me glancing back at me with no smile no "can I help you find something" no nothing just glanced. I thought nothing of it until she glanced back again...and then again...did I mention she still hadn't said one customer service friendly comment to me yet? Then she disappeared to the back area of the store...now in that moment it hit me...did she think I was a trying to steel something? No no I'm over reacting...but then she came back down my aisle this time staring me down the whole walk down...then I finally said "if you're going to stare at me like that you should at least say hi"...still not a word...I was even considering "just let it go and finish your shopping and be done with it". Until I heard on the PA system "security to front cash"...then I was like "hell no that page better not be for me". So because her cash register was aligned to the aisle I was down I looked over to her register and sure enough she was staring me down yet again...then I couldn't help myself but ask "did you just call security?" Then she responds with "you can pay for your things and leave or talk to security" 😱😱😱😱...so I did what any sane individual would and asked to speak to her manager to which she responded with there is no manger here tonight and that she is the supervisor 😱😱😱 then she tries to defend herself saying that every hour they have to make a security announcement page and it was "coincidence" that the page happened when it happened and in addition I was carrying a big bag so that was another cause for me being suspected shop lifter...has any of your jaws dropped to the floor yet? By the way it was around 8:30pm or so when this happened not on the hour as she claimed ...Well I continued to insist that I get her store managers name and contact number to which she said the persons name to which I said can you write it down for me and she said she can't and proceeded to repeat the name over and over and over again...yeah...then I saw another employee and asked them to write down the store mangers name first name only an then, as he is standing right next to the woman, he tells me that he's not allowed to give me that information and that it is store policy and he could get fired if did give it to me...are your jaws dropping again? Oh I forgot when I asked for a piece of paper to write managers name down she picked one out of the garbage, flung it on the counter and said "here, that's all I have"...she picked a piece of paper OUT OF THE GARBAGE CAN to give to a CUSTOMER? ARE YOU SERIOUS?

So Shoppers Drug Mart CANADA, I don't know if it's your store policy to hire RACIST employee who are TRAINED to RACIALLY PROFILE people AND trained to be suspicious of BLACK PEOPLE and people, apparently in general, with large hand bags.

so that was my evening how was yours FB family? 😁

Leona Thames, I am very sorry that this incident happened to you. It is unfair and disgusting how some people this it is alright to humiliate other human beings based simply on their skin color. It's shameful. Have you tried a human rights complaint? One lady got an $8000 when she filed a human rights complaint in Ontario.

Shoppers Drug Mart customer service

On November 26/18 I phoned to ask if I could return a box of hair colour I had purchased a week prior. I told the Customer Service associate that I did not have my receipt but that I just wanted to exchange because I had mistakenly purchased one without 100% gray coverage. She stated that nothing could be returned or exchanged without a receipt. I mentioned that I thought she could just give me the last sale price and I would purchase the right product. She stated that this would screw up their inventory. She then suggested I return the product to Walmart. I told her that I was not dishonest and would not return a item to a store where I had not purchased. I really do not think your associates should even be suggesting this practice I went out and purchased the product at another retailer and will not be shopping at this Shoppers Drugmart again.

Shoppers Drug Mart advice on otc medication use, unprofessional conduct of pharmacist.

Nov. 25 2018 approx. 1900hr. my wife who has an Asian accent asked a pharmacist about taking ibuprofen while on a daily asa low dose as well as a statin drug. He babbled on about blood pressure but not much of a knowledge base regarding the dosing or side effects besides what was already written on the drug bottle was explained, certainly nothing about gastric irritation or bleeding. Seemed impatient with it all. Not sure if he was racist, misogynistic or both as the next thing was he called security. Some greasy fellow in a black ninja outfit with security written on it shows up and begins a stalking, intimidation tactic with her. Very unprofessional and disconcerting behavior. In my opinion asking for advice their at the pharmacy is not safe. We are elderly and have had much more professional conduct in other places to know this is not appropriate. We are considering contacting the BC college of pharmacists but really should attempt first to discuss this with the involved individuals. The safety of the public and customer is primary.

Shoppers Drug Mart incompetent service

On Nov. 25th I went to the Leila and McPhillips Shoppers Drug Mart. I went in with my husband to quickly grab stamps and some items from the cosmetic department. I went to pay and was told I stamps are only available from cashier 1. No problem, we went to stand in line. There was one person ahead of us and one person being served. The cashier for this line was servicing the self checkout line. The line behind us grew larger. When 4 other people lined up behind us, the cashier finally got back to servicing cash register 1. There looked to be something holding up the person waiting there. Another associate came up and asked everyone in line, one-by-one if she could help them at another till. I said, "I'm getting stamps." She proceeded to tell me she could help me buy my other items if I wasn't getting bus tickets, lotto or stamps. I repeated that I wanted stamps. She kept trying to take me out of line to buy my other items. I refused. She then went to the lady behind me and had the same conversation. She actually dragged the woman's cart out of line and was pulling it to another line before the woman managed to get it through to this associate that she wanted lottery tickets. The associate then just pushed her cart back into line and walked away. Another associate came by and asked everyone the same questions again, trying to get people to leave the line for another till, only to leave when told that everyone needed bus tickets, lotto or stamps. The associate standing at till 3 kept shouting to another associate that she couldn't help anyone since they all needed things only till 1 could service. Eventually a young man went onto till 2 and said he could help us. My husband left to go into his line and ask if he could sell us stamps. When he said yes, I left the line too. A couple people in line went to switch lines with me as well. The other associates started to yell at people that they had to wait in line still. Then someone asked if till 2 could give bus tickets, stamps and lottos and they said yes, so we proceeded to move to the other till. (At this time the cashier on till 1 had served 1 person). The till was still blocked off and there was no way for anyone to reach register 2. The cashier finally noticed and moved the blockade. We were finally able to reach the till. As he pulled out the stamps, he noticed our other items and asked if they were all together or not. When we said yes, he told us we couldn't buy envelops from them but had to buy them from the post office. This was after 3 separate employees, who all saw we were holding envelops failed to mention we couldn't buy them there. My husband had to walk back to the post office and purchase them while I paid for the stamps and cosmetics. We spent 10 minutes in line to purchase three items. I have worked as a retail manager for 5 years and was shocked at the incompetents of the staff. Not only was there no communication as everyone in line explained to THREE separate employees that this was the only till that could give them what they came to buy, but staff were pulling on, shouting and treating the customers like they didn't understand anything. There were associates standing behind tills helping nobody while one till had a line up of 7 people! It took 10 minutes before someone opened up another till capable of servicing their customers. This should have been done way sooner, or all tills should be able to provide all services to customers. Also why was the cashier for the only register able to give stamps helping self checkout when there seemed to be other cashiers doing nothing? The cashier was very slow too. As a retail manager myself she should have been replaced with someone quicker to complete the line or had support faster. The Cashier on cash 1 was calling over to cashier 3 for help but cashier 3 just stood behind her till. It was very frustrating as a customer to stand for 10 minutes and watch 5 employees be incompetent at their jobs and waste a lot of peoples time.
