Meeting Angele initially was a pleasure, she has a very pleasant demeanor and conducts herself well.
In March, 2015, We hired her to do exactly what her company title indicates. All our financials were in envelopes by month, categorized in the way shoeboxes are.
She arrived at my doorstep with my tax returns in hand and also had emailed the paperwork. An immediate request for the other 50% owed to her for her services was requested before releasing everything that is mine back to me. ( sort of blackmail tactics i would say), I gladly paid her, thanked her for her help, but she did not have time to show me the QuickBooks and said she would return on a later date. Once she left and I went over the paperwork, she failed to finish the job. My 2014 Personal Taxes were not done. She did file my 2013 business and personal taxes. She did complete my 2014 Business taxes did NOT file them. .and failed to do my 2014 personal taxes . We are now into JULY 2015, and Angele does not respond to any emails sent to her. It appears that once she is paid, she no longer wishes to maintain a business relationship.
Angele is on FaceBook and twitter daily, posting her trivial nonsense but does not have the courtesy or business savvy to take care of business first and her clients. She presents herself as a Social Media Genius, but in reality being so self absorbed is damaging her credibility. She claims to "Speak Human" which is so far from the truth.
In the meantime, i have Revenue Canada calling me . My wife and i have both tried to contact Angele in numerous occasions, to "Speak Human" with her, and we have finally found her phone number on a site ( a slip up on her part) and her address on another site.
Finding her co-ordinates has allowed us to file a complaint to Small Claims Court. We are proceeding with sueing Angel Lafond for all money owed back.
The outcome will be told on this site.

Well Angele has way more scamming options up her sleeve! She hired my company, which does odour removal services and she called me to remediate the insane out of control cat urine problem she had in her basement. I drove to Riverside South to do an estimate...and one of the cats actually peed right in front of us on the carpet while I was doing the estimate! We set a date for the work to commence. I blocked off the entire day for her job and did not book any other work around that time. She texted me when I was 2/3 of the way from Almonte to her house saying she had slept in and actually had to go to court(sounded like it was with her Ex). So I completely lost that day with no work or income. She took about a month to reconnect with me and booked another appointment. I did all the work required, on budget and she ended up even buying an extra gallon of specialty odour removal product at $100/gal as the cats were going to keep peeing for sure as she was unable to maintain the liter box whatsoever. Her kids played down there and there was cat feces and vomit(and obviously massive amounts of urine) on the carpet everywhere where the kids played. Wow! So sad. She actually started admonishing the kids in front of me for not "cleaning up" all their toys making it sound(well she just blatantly said it!) like she had already cleaned and vacuumed the place and they destroyed it. These are toddlers...maybe 5 years old! The place had never been vacuumed and the dried vomit and feces in multiple locations in the middle of the room proved it. She was simply a lazy pig(also judging by the amount of garbage and crap piling up in her laneway. and an irresponsible parent making her kids live like that. Toys strewn everywhere and a nauseating nasty liter box. At the end of the day and a lot of hard work on my part she tells me she will send an e=transfer that night for the close to $900 bill. I never got a payment. I proceed to keep sending the invoice by email and she never replies or pays. At that point it was becoming very clear she was an outright scam artist and NEVER had any intention of paying me. So a week or two later I showed up on her doorstep. The kids answered, she was flopped in front of the TV and sent her very young kids to answer the door to a stranger. When I said I was there to pick up payment and only a credit card or e-transfer would do...she claimed to own no credit cards. She then actually tried to blow me off again with "I'll send you an e-transfer tonight"...HaHa nice try scammer and I told her to her face that I wasn't stupid enough to fall for that BS! At that point she is clearly bummed out and flustered that she has to actually sit on her phone and do an e-transfer to me. Oops...she can only do $500/day which she does send. Then proceeded to PROMISE that she would send the remainder of the payment $385 as soon as the online banking system allows her...24 hours. That's the last I heard from her. After many unanswered emails I actually drove to her house yet again on a Sunday morning and started knocking. The kids were running around playing, sticking their faces in the door window to look at me and they know who I am. They just continued playing. I kept knocking for about 20 minutes, the kids eventually disappeared and she was clearly hiding out silently with her kids at that point. I think I would have been completely justified to call the police and report unsupervised infants/toddlers in a home by themselves. I decided against getting even more involved with this scam artist and simply left. What a piece of crap mother and human Angele Lafond is. That's all I can say. I'm a one man show and this type of outright loss really hurts...she basically stole a gallon of product from me at $100 that I have to pay for, with obviously no intention of actually paying for it. Pure scum. Beware! I really really wish I knew how to inexpensively put a lean on her house so I could at least get paid when she attempted to sell. Sounds like she did and moved out of Riverside South.
Wow! I am a former employee of Angele (who has not been paid (surprise)). I pursued Angele in court for 5 years, taking MANY days off work to attend, racking up legal fees, for her to only show up once. How our legal system allows this is beyond me, but that’s a different rant. As of lately, I have not been actively pursuing this in court, but do plan on continuing someday. If anyone in this thread wants to get in contact with me, please respond. I was a naive 21 year old at the time working to pay for school expenses when Angele ran out of money to pay my wages, I kept thinking when she has the money she will send it. Here I am 7 years later still waiting...
Another victim here to from around the same time. If you are still pursuing, I might be able to get her current address as I am in communication with her current landlord who's currently attempting to evict her due to non-payment of rent. I'm still fighting CRA due to her. It's been 2+ years.
Hi Cheryl, not sure you see all updated comments on this thread - a short explanation of my situation is below. I am a former (possibly the only) employee of Angele. Did you ever get her current address? Hard to serve someone when they move constantly. Being an accountant I know how much of a hassle dealing with CRA can be, it upsets me this is happening to you! I have been pursuing Angele since late 2012, if you think I might have any info that can help you I will gladly help. Feel free to respond here.
Thank you for reaching out. One of my cases with HST has been concluded in my favour but it took 2 yrs. Still dealing with the income tax interest and penalties portion which hopefully be concluded soon. It is super stressful. I may have a way to get her current address if you need it.
I'm also a recent victim of Angele. It has been a total nightmare and at this point I would be happy to just get everything back so I can have someone else take care of it.
Good luck with your lawsuit.. I hope u win this case. This situation has happened to me as well with a different company. (It was an attorney's office) I sued the for my money back and reported the to the FL bar association. I recommend u do the same with the association for accountants. I received some of my money back frm them and they got in trouble with the BAR. Wish u the best :)

We unfortunately have not been able to "serve her" . she has moved and we can not find her, all we know is she lives in Riverside South. (Which she bragged about on FB), By the time we tried to serve her court papers, she had moved and the Post Office refuses to give us the forwarding address.
