Shipito Review: A Complete Disaster - Lost Package, Damaged Items, and Shady Practices
So, I gotta tell you about my experience with Shipito. Let me tell you, it was a complete disaster. I had a package shipped to me through DHL, and according to the tracking, it was delivered and signed for. But guess what? Shipito claims they never received it. How ridiculous is that? I mean, come on, the evidence is right there. I'm pretty sure they either lost it or stole it, but they won't admit it.
I'm not the only one who's had a bad experience with them either. I've heard plenty of horror stories from other people who got scammed by them. It's just not right. I mean, why would anyone want to do business with a company like that?
But it gets worse. When I finally did receive my package, it was damaged and some items were missing. So, I opened a support ticket with Shipito to file a claim. And what do they do? They hit me with a verification request, which is just ridiculous. I've used them before and they never asked for that before. It's like they're trying to make it difficult for me to file a claim.
And then, get this, they suddenly found some abandoned packages from me that I supposedly owed storage fees for. But here's the thing, those packages were already discarded months ago. They claimed they kept them out of niceness for customers, but they never bothered to tell me they still had them. And there's no proof they actually held onto them for so long. It's just shady.
To make matters worse, when I finally did get a response about my claim, it was basically just a bunch of excuses. They said they were alone in the warehouse and packaged everything themselves, and if I had any issues, I should just contact the merchants. And then they had the nerve to close my ticket and mark it as "solved." Are you kidding me?
And when I tried to file a claim with the carrier, they told me the expeditor (Shipito) needed to do it. But of course, Shipito refused to do it and just told me to talk to the merchants. It's like they don't even care about their customers.
Honestly, I think they're just taking advantage of people who don't speak English well or who are in a different country. But I'm not going to let them get away with it. I'm going to pursue this until the end. So, my advice to you is to avoid Shipito at all costs. They're just a bunch of scammers.
USPS return to the shop
I received a package in CA's warehouse on December 29. I requested a reshipment to France on December 29. Refusal of shipito because so-called prohibited product. I request the shipment to a friend who lives in California on December 30. Refusal of shipito because product prohibited. I send them a USPS slip to return the package to the merchant. Since December 30, the package has been in their CA warehouse and has not been returned to the merchant. I have until January 14 to send it back and get a refund. I open tickets every day and they always answer me the same thing: we are waiting to hear from CA's warehouse. I requested a refund of my purchase + shipito return fees to the merchant. Still no news! This company is a mess and a big joke!
Stay sway / package missing
I made two different orders with APPLE. I choose the 2 hour delivery. I was tracking both couriers on the Apple website. They arrived at the Oregon warehouse almost in the same time. The packages shown delivered with a 2 minutes difference between them. In 10 minutes I have received an email from Shipito ONLY FOR ONE of the packages. I waited 3 days and the second one was not uploaded into the account.
I contacted their customers service. Of course that is a joke. They don't have a real customer service department. Only a bunch of incompetents that are opening "tickets" with your conversation with them and send it to the warehouse. If you contact them again they will do the same thing and open a new ticket and so on. I now have 5 tickets opened without any replies. They don't have a way of contacting the warehouse and see what exactly is happening. And the most important part is that you can open that kind of ticket directly from your account without their help. So basically they don't really do anything. Is just a cover up for the company to say they offer customer service. And don't bother to try and call, the answering machine will request a code that you will not know and they will not provide one when you ask them about that by chat.
So after opening 5 tickets no one is replying, no one is telling me where is my package. And if I contact the "customer service chat"they will open a new ticket. I suppose someone took my package. I also asked them to check the cameras at the same time the first package was received and they will see what happened. Is that easy.
So you need to imagine how safe your packages are if they disappear and no one cares. I will need to contact Apple and return the first packeting because I don't need the items. Timing is important, but not for them.
And they charge you for this services. But how I could "charge" them because of my lost time? I can't. This is not the only issue I had with them. Many years ago I had other issues and even the owner have the same attitude. They just don't care. I mean... of course the employee will behave like that if the owner of the company is doing this.
I remember that one time I had 5 envelopes there and when they "consolidate" those, they put 5 envelopes in a BOX and charge $100 for that. Really? When you have 5 envelopes you put them in an bigger ENVELOPE. They did that after and I paid $30. Nice job!
But probably most of the other providers are the same. At least they have a better system put in place. I would not work with them. A good company is one that solve issues. They struggle with that from the beggining.
Shipito, if you will take the time to reply to my issue please say what happened and not provide an email address for your clients to send another "ticket".

Looking for my package
I shipped out a package back around the 5th of October. The person who was supposed to collect the package ended up being a fraud and after they were confronted never did reply back to me. They stole PayPal's email and played it as they were the ones with the confirmation but I'm reality PayPal had nothing to do with it. I've also contact the USPS and they stated they cannot do anything since my package was last placed with your company. The package was worth $1, 200. I've been stressed out 24/7 wanting my package back. Please help me.

Fraudulent company. They promise a result (saving in shippings) and it´s false. They charge you for everything, even for breathing, and in the end you don´t save, but an extra cost for using that service.
They don´t answer to your claims and don´t want to take responsibility
Last time i used their services was on february 7th, and they want to charge a monthly fee between 02/24/2018 and 03/24/2018. No way!
Last shipping I received 3 out of 6 packages were broken and open and one of the items inside was broken (look at the pictures).
Not recommended at all!

Awful company
Absolutely unreliable. I regret I chose this company for shipping a very expensive item.
They have no idea where my package is. When I just ordered they gave me a tracking number and I didn't use it until I understood that it lasted too long. I decided to check it and it turned out that the number was fake. Customer service had the same number and of course, they couldn't find anything as well.
I suppose that my item was stolen (well, what else, if it's been 2 months?) and I want this company to make up losses.

Very slow
if you want a new experience I recommend you to deal with their amazing customer service. Yes, it's sarcasm, guys.
In fact, their customer support arrived right from the hell. They are slow like turtles, if you set an email to them, you don't have to expect a quick answer. No, they don't provide a service like that.
When you pay big money you want a great treatment and a fast job. Unfortunately, Shipito is not the place where you will be appreciated, sorry.
Never use them
I;m not the one who would tell you something good about them. They are disgusting. They lost my parсel right at their own store. That's simply ridiculous. You know, when I was talking to them on the phone, it seemed like I was talking to [censored]s. How can you lose it and refuse to ship it?
What a shame to tell your customers you made such a stupid mistake. I keep facepalming.

I wanted to ship one package with DPD and I added deposit to my account ($101, 99) on 15 June. It turned out DPD doesnt ship wood products to my country so I switched to DHL I added plus $168 to my account on 16 June. Since I only shipped with DHL for $168 I asked for a refund (of $101, 99)but to this day I didnt get my money back. I opened a ticket I asked them numerous times and they act like they dont know whats going on even when I sent them my paypal history showing the transitions. I think I will never see that money again.
Please avoid this company at all costs.

These guys charge for courier shipping and then ship by private contractor with NO tracking until it leaves the US. They lost a 2000 USD package and have no trace. If you pay for courier shipping and they proceed to ship privately that is misleading and fraudulent. Avoid this company unless you want to get rid of your stuff. On top of this their customer service is a disaster.

The thing I loved most at Viabox is when they asked me if I wanted photos of my product before shipping. I was very happy with the response time too when I was unable to use their website.
Yes i have experienced that too but then i tried viabox and found it the best freight forwarding service with courteous customer service and fastest delivery service among all.
money not refunded
Send some money to them for an assisted purchase that they could not complete, then I've made a refund request to get my money back but they didn't respond for my request, every time I talked with them they extended the wait times, they ignore the support ticket and email, the online agent have no authorization to solve my issue they just say that I have to wait 3-5 business day each time.

getting refund from my remaining deposit in my shipito account.
Hi, I have 540$ in my remaining deposit in my shipito account, my account is [protected]@hotmail.com.
i have applied about two months ago a request to refund this remaining deposit to my paypal account, I waited about 2 months to this refund, every week by week I was in contact with shipito customer service and I was promised many times that I will get this refund soon, but in the end nothing happened. On 2/9/2017 I contacted again with shipito and than I was told that my request was canceled because I applied multiple requests and I need to apply once again. So I applied another new request on 2/9/2017 and I was told that I will be refunded on monday 2/13/2017.
So I waited for this Monday and ofcourse nothing happened and the refund was not accepted. So I contacted once again with shipito on 2/14/2017 and than I was told that there is no requests in my account and no one knows what ia'm talking about.
I have email from shipito that confirms my requests to refund, I have al print screen with my chats and email with shipito.
So the situation now is like this, that I have 540$ in my shipito account but more than 2 months I can't get this refund to my paypal.
These scambags refuse to refund my deposit because, wait for it, its too "old", wtf? They keep refuse that and I didn't find anything about this in termsof use! and nowhere to claim :(

My package got lost!
Beware - Shipito is not to be trusted! These guys are absolutely unreliable and they don't care about their customers. My package got lost and they didn't provide any help and support. They promised they'll find it but they did nothing for that to happen. I'm very disappointed! Then I asked them to pay me the cost of my package but they refused and claimed it was not their fault it ended up that way.
In the past Shipito wasn't a bad company, but they changed a lot. I will never use them again, they are terrible! I'm still waiting for a refund!

I sent a package via Shipito and paid some extra money for the insurance. It was a birthday gift for my sister and she never received it and these guys from Shipito refuse to take any responsibility! They said that they think that my package was lost during the shipment and that there was nothing they could do. Great! What kind of service is that? They are the shipping company and they should take all the responsibility! I even paid for the insurance and even that did not save my package! Totally disgusted with Shipito!

This company operates much like a bait and switch scam: they promise one price and then charge another, significantly higher, price. There are delays in communication, and a total lack of helpfulness from "support" staff. They are in business to rip people off, not provide a good service. Stay away.

Thank you for the review. Our shipping calculator we offer online ( http://calculator.shipito.com/en/#/ ) is pretty accurate if you have the size and weight of the package. We also have 24/7 chat support and emails are generally responded to within a business day.

If you notice, there is an auction page on their website which is selling all the goods that I suspect they stole from people, using the same method. Apparently the terms and conditions are designed to force the client to give up and they retain their money and parcel. They benefit from keeping your parcel as they charge you a monthly fee for keeping them.

Seems to me they (Shipito) did everything according to the rules and no blame can be put on them. You shouldn't upload a fake ID. They have to obey international rules. They are a shipping forwarding company; as such they have other rules than carriers. You can ship even guns with certain carriers... if you fill in all the right paper work. But Shipito is not a carrier, but a shipping forwarding company which uses the carrier you choose in a standard way; thus using the standard (read:no special) rules. As for the money they charged: all that is clearly explained and shown on their help pages, faq, and also on your personal detailed package pages. Nothing wrong there...
wasted $100
I've just wasted $100.
I've been using shipito for a long time, but this time would be the last one.
Nowadays Shipito became a scam, there're a lot of hidden charges: they charge $2.5 to "process" each package and $2 to consolidate packages into bigger one for each package. That means $2+$2.5 = $4.5 for each package. And that doesn't include shipping costs, special requests, bank fees etc. You pay for everything.
Now I've consolidated 22 small packages (guitar strings) and I've got 22 * $4.5 = $99 bill for their so-called "service"!
But those fees aren't explained anywhere. You will find it out only when you get your bill.
Sarcasm mode: Oh, that's my dream job: throw small boxes into big one for 5 minutes, get $100. Not bad, shipito, not bad at all!

Those fees are all very clearly explained on their help, info and FAQ pages, which you can read even before signing up! They are also clearly listed on the detailed list of fees for each package. This said, yes, for very small things it may look like $2 for each package to consolidate is much, but it is afterall an extra optional service with (free!) options like dismissing the retail boxes to save weight etc (which, depending on the package type and size can be some work). But even with those extra fees, they are still cheaper than most other shipping forwarding companies considering the options they provide. Second, you could have choosen a different account plan (note: you can even switch plans even after signing up, and even in between sending packages). Different plans have different kind of fees... Again all clearly listed and explained on their pages.

They robbed me 200 USD plus my package worth 160 USD.
This company charge you 10 USD for forwarding the packages you buy in USA to be sent to your country outside of the US. The fact is that there is no such service exist. The moment the package enter their facilities, you will never see it. In the meantime they charge you for the shipping fees to your country, I choose TNT and the bill was 200 USD to my country (singapore). I paid it via paypal and also submitted the documents they requested (very ridiculous as there is no such documents required by other similar companies). I gave them multiple copies of my ICs and Signed a form on their website.
That was the end of the story.. from there, no response received from them. They claim my documents are not complete, so they can’t send me my parcel. Funny right? …oh and they cant refund the 200 USD I paid for the package that never gonna be delivered. You know why? cause due to their policy (Imagine thieves have policy and terms) .. you never get refunded unless your parcel is shipped … OMG.. can you guys believe this?
It was the whole story. I reported them to many different authorities and waiting for their response. Hope to see them behind the bars one day.

I've not used Kentucky where there are some negative posts, I use the West Coast but overall my experience has been good. I've shipped a number of very high value items including combining packages and been very happy with the service.
Don't use shipito. They will take your money to set up an account which you are then unable to use unless you provide a a mass of personal ID. Even if you decide to provide it, a passport and drivers' license is not enough to activate your account. Very dubious business.
You will be waiting a very long time to see them behind bars because they are 100% legit!
The fact that they require you to upload a proof of your ID is also 100% legit and actually required by US law. I suggest to read their pages on why this is... it is all explained... has mostly to do with letters.
The fact that they don't send out packages before your paperwork is in order is also very logic. Just complete the paperwork and the package will be send without any problems.
"The fact is that there is no such service exist." => Errrm... There are lots of shipping forwarding companies...
They do not request a "mass of personal ID" at all! They only ask for 2 types of ID. And as they explain on all their pages (and which is quite logical too), this is for security and to prevent fraud, fake accounts, etc. It is also something the LAW requires them to do. And as thousands of other customers have experienced in the past: no problems with that whatsoever; provide the requested IDs, they will verify them, and your account will be open for use. No problems at all... unless you try to scam them with fake IDs etc...

Avoid Shipito.com they are scammers. They have my package and I paid over 220 USD for the sending, but they do not want to send the package. They now say they have a 150 USD spending limit for credit cards. However they did not mention that when I made my payment of an amount larger than 150 USD. They do not want to refund my money either and are keeping my package hostage.
There cannot be any worse package forwarding company. Do not use this company!

I've been using viabox for sometime and its best cargo service i've found. It has no hidden charges, no processing fees, no signup fees, most reliable company with lowest rates and best customer service.
Absolutely HORRIBLE service. I sent a package to their address, went to deposit money into my account and came up with the message "Only accepts wire transfers". Which is fine. They warned that there would be a $15 extra cost to sending money via wire. Ok. Annoying (tad understatement here) but acceptable. My postage fee (JUST for the package alone was $54). WARNING THIS GETS CONFUSING.
I deposited $200 from my bank account by wire transfer to Shipito
I had to pay a $35 wire transfer fee from my bank: $35
Wire transfer fee from shipito's bank: $15
At the end of the transfer I had $115 in my account
They automatically took $55 from the package
What did I have left?
= $60
WHERE DID THE OTHER $35 GO? It must have magically flown into their pockets.
I feel totally and utterly ripped off. I emailed them politely enquiring about it. They didn't do ANYTHING about it. I know it's only $35 but at the same time...The package postage was $55 (Which is a rip off to begin with considering the dimensions and size but I let it slide). I am so annoyed and frustrated. I don't know what to do.
I could not agree more! They were horrible when I used them. Over Christmas time they got really backed up and took weeks for them to answer emails and send my packages. Plus they didn't even apologise! I switched over to myus. They're great. And, they answer emails quickly and send my packages on time! Can't ask for more than that!
Agreed. they also require fees like insurance and shipping charges are based on size of their boxes they require you to use and always seem to go in boxes that are way larger than required...stay AWAY!
