Shell gas pump fraud

I went to put $9.00 worth of gas in my car. The pump felt light at $5.00 mark and seemed like air was going through and the roll of 5.2 etc seemed to be pumping really slow. When I sawthat it stopped at $8.62. I was concerened. I went In to complain and was told it would still pump. The A lady who was pumping at the pump in front of me said she had trouble at mine and other pumps so she kept changing and now the pump she is at is going slow and felt like nothing was coming out. I am angry and I want an inspector to close down this fraudulant business.

Shell cleanliness

On this date of 7.30.08 @ 0910, I stopped in to a local Shell gas station (I-20 and Clemson Road) to use the facilities and obtain a drink. I was appauled at the appearance of the restroom, no water to flush, smelly, soap dispenser ripped off the wall and laying on the filthy counter top. And then, when obtaining my soft drink from the fountain, the cups were falling on the floor, lids were strewn and not organized and then as I checked out the attendant was preoccupied with her breakfast before even acknowledging me. Additionally, the trash containers (large ones) were running over in the parking lot with trash and not to say that the small containers and the ash tray at the entrance to the store were over flowing as well. I bring this to your attention as a former manager of such an establishment (Pilot) and could not local Shell management address these specific issues so as not to bring such a "bad light" to your company and to provide better customer service? Thank you for your time.

Very rude manager in the bandera, texas shell gas station. I approached the cashier asked if I could have change back in 2 fives and a 10 dollar bill. Manager rolled her eyes, sighed, and handed me four 5 dollars bills. I asked if I could have a $10 and I was told that's all they have. (Even though I can see the money in her drawer). The service is horrible in this location. Mini mart has friendly, helpful staff that will not roll their eyes at you for asking for change. Obviously shell needs new employees.

The employee that works the counter is very rude and has no idea about customer service. He straight forward called a customer a ###, then continued to argue with the customer. Final he threaten the customer by stating wait for me after work outside so we can handle this, implying a fight. I could not believe that this employee would act this way not only to a customer but with other customers inside. I felt very uncomfortable and will never return to this shell station again. I called and filed a complaint with the manager, I can only hope that the manager takes this situation seriously.

I sent my nephew in the shell station on 820 and forest hill dr.in forest hills tx. buy a beer, lotto, and gas. there was a black gray hair woman and a white younger woman that accused him of stealing the beer because the other clerk wouldn’t sell it to him because he left his id. my nephew is 28 so i went in (i’m 61 yrs old) to get the beer, and they refused me service too. there are other people that they yell and be smart mouth with customers. i can tell you better by phone please [protected]. thank u to the complaint department of shell gas stations.

The price on the sign states 3.349/gallon for cash...well besides that price being .15 cents higher than 2 other stations within walking distance from this particular store, they also mark the price of gas up another .11 cents if you use your Bi-Lo bonus card, your debit card, or your credit card! I mean come on now, if this isn't illegal, then it very well should be! And for that matter I dont see how Bi-Lo would allow this station to boost their prices up on the gas when trying to catch a break on the already high prices by using your bonus card. This is the most pathetic and ridiculous way to jip Americans out of our hard earned money. as if the 200% increase on gas isnt enough! it is so frustrating that something like this can happen and not a darn thing be done about it. This BS that i experienced today, will STOP me from EVER shopping at this store again, it's all a crock of [censored]!

I just went to the shell gas station near my house to get gas and cash in 3 scratch off lottery tickets and ran into the worst service attendant I ever had. I put my tickets on the counter and the guy threw them back at me telling me I had to scratch off the claim numbers and before I could tell him I didnt know where the numbers were and that I didnt care about the $3.00 and to just give me the gas I wanted he called the next customer in line up to the counter and wouldnt let me finish buying the gas... he refused to help me. I'll never go to another shell station again unless I'm stranded.

On two different occasions, three weeks apart, the attendant at the Shell gas station on West Boylston Street, in West Boylston, Ma would shut off my pump at $50.00 while using a credit card. I only go to Shell because of the discount I earn using my Stop and Shop card. On one occasion I had earned .60 off a gallon and the station would only give me .10 off a gallon and shut my pump off at $50.00. When I asked the attendant why she was stoping my pump before I was finished filling my tank, she rudely answered they had to because they didn't know how much gas the station had. This station is obviously not honoring their partnership with Stop and Shop.

I work a few miles away as and I always go to a Shell Gas Station (by choice) versus other brands. I go to this station almost all the time as it is Shell station near my job. I always pay with my credit card at the station, inside the store, and not at the pump as my bank has specifically instructed me to go inside. If I pay outside, the station will hold $100-200 for each pump, plus the total amount purchased. The station will hold the funds for 2-3 weeks. My bank has specifically stated to pay inside. Again, this is not my first time paying at the station (this one). On 12/3/11, I stopped at station and lady (Birtukan) at counter would not accept my payment and stated they do not take my credit card. This is clearly absurd as it is not the first time at this station or using the same card. I have dealt with a male before who is decent (not nice or rude), neutral. However, this lady was combative with me and suggested i go to another station as she was not going to waste her time with me. She then cont. to ignore me and started talking in her language which is completed unacceptable. We are not back in the middle east for her to treat customers this way and speak their language to us. If this is part of her culture, then perhaps she should work in a place where they ONLY service middle eastern. Her service was so off, I decided to leave and visit another station (NON-SHELL) down the street. After this experience, I've decided to make it my personal business to NEVER visit another SHELL Gas Station, especially this one. And if I'm out of fuel, i rather pay more to have delivered to me from another station. In addition, when I asked to get manager's name and #, she refused to give me name and gave me a # where there is no answer, I was not able to leave a voice message.

You're clearly an idiot. GO TO THE CHEAPTER GAS STATION. Geez, gas is $3.67 here and people don't ### this much.

Shell 36 year old account closed

Just over a week ago I received a notice in the mail concerning proposed changes of terms to my Shell gasoline credit card account. Early on in the provided literature there was a notice that account holder could opt out of the proposed changes by calling the inserted toll free telephone number. I elected to do so immediately.

I have done this on a few occasions with other credit card accounts over the years with no additional or negative affects on my account, so I was disinclined to read farther into the provided information where there was also a notice that if you opted out of the proposed changes the account would be closed.

I found out abruptly and very inconveniently the next day, however, when I attempted to purchase gasoline. Upon calling customer service when I reached home I was told that indeed my account had been shut down because of my opting out of the proposed increases in fees and other changes, and that it could not be reopened regardless of any circumstances. They said my only option was to wait for at least a month and then I could re-apply for approval of a new account, just as any new applicant would.

I have had this account active and in good standing for over thirty-six years with Shell Oil, with account balances as high as $1, 100 dollars. Obviously, all that good business and customer good will amounts to absolutely nothing.

I am not alleging that this company has done anything illegal, but I do believe that I have been treated with unnecessary disrespect and a total lack of appreciation for good business and excellent account management for over thirty-six years (account was opened in May, 1972).

I acknowledge that the error was my responsibility (not reading the change of terms notice completely and thoroughly), but there was absolutely no sensitivity or consideration provided by this company upon my providing the circumstances of my error. While this kind of behavior may not be in violation of the law, I think it is a good example of unethical business practices and also of the cold, callous and contemptuous nature that some businesses can adopt toward small accounts, especially if they suffer no significant consequences from that kind of attitude and behavior.

Shell false advertising

I am writing this complaint in regards to Shell's gas pricing practices. Apparently, my local Shell station now offers cash and credit prices for their gas. However, they advertise the cash price in the main part of their sign (the part with the HUGE numbers) and the credit price in the smaller part where the diesel price is usually displayed.

Now, this is deceiving in many ways. One, people will think that the large price is the normal price, whether paid for with cash, debit or credit. But once arriving at the pump, customers see that isn't the case. Those who pay by card are screwed for the higher price advertised in the smaller numbers (with the words "Regular Credit" in VERY small letters by the price). Second, without looking carefully, consumers think that smaller price is the diesel price and think, "Wow, diesel has really dropped in price" only to be deceived once arriving at the pump (due to poor signage of prices). These examples only prove even more that Shell is deceiving it's consumers.

I personally will never shop at a Shell station ever again, and I urge other customers to the same. As far as this "Cash and credit" separate pricing policy, Shell is the ONLY one in my city doing this. Mobil, Citgo, BP, etc. do not do this and nor should they. Even with the cash price, Shell is still 10 cents higher that other stations, including Mobil (which used to be the highest in town, BTW).

Shell has lost my business forever.

By the way, seperate cash and credit prices for fuel should be outlawed.

I could care less if these gas stations lose money on people paying with their cards to be honest with all of you.

Down here in Texas there is a store that says it is Shell gas. But they get gas from another company and then advertise it as SHell fuel. So who kniows whether or not any of Shell gas stations are really selling the correct fuel. Something should be done.

Shell scams

Dear Sirs,

Some one have just sent me the e-mail bellow. I think this is a money scam. I don´t recall to participate in any game, and having won such an amount.

The agent Mike Evans have just reach me by phone, and swears that this is not a scam. How can I be sure? They are asking for the 120€, but I have told him that if the check is not good, i will charge shell company on the bank fees, and also i´ll put the company in Court. Please don´t joke with people.

I´d like to have a promt answer, about it.

Shell Overcharge for using Visa

I stopped at that gas station advertising $4.09/gal. I filled my tank to realize that the price was $4.29.99. Upon inspection there was a little handwritten paper on the pump stating that $4.09 was the cash price only. I thought it was not permitted to have a different price for cash and credit.

Shell sells gift cards however some shell gas stations do not accept them claiming shell will not repay them for the sale. Shell's corp people refuse to handle any complaints and refuse to refund the $$ spent for the gift card. It's bad enough that shell screws us on the gas, now they have a scheme to screw us on gift card purchases. She should not be...

Shell not working bathrooms!

Hello there- I am passing by the above listed Shell Station on a daily base and buying gasoline there almost every day. It seems like, always when a certain Employee(Thomas) is working there, that the bathrooms are not working-(according to his statement). This happened already 4 or 5 times, always with the same employee. I called the Manager -Ms. Norma- and talked to her. She said that the bathrooms were in working condition, but not clean and sometimes people lock in keys in the bathroom ( which can happen, but not always with the same employee!). When I asked Thomas today at 05: 33 hrs, he stated they are "Out of order."

I think for us paying Customers ( and paying a lot recently for gasoline!) it should be a must to have at least a working bathroom available. It is pitifully that one employee, who just wants to sit on his butt and not be bothered by any customers, spoils it for all the other, hard working loyal employees.-

Shell scam and rip off!

Almost 3 years ago my husband was running a highly successful petrol station for Shell, he was unfortunately robbed of £27000. Shell just did not want to know and he was dismissed at once, even though he had nothing to do with the robbery. Shell did nothing to help at all and we had to find the money to give back to Shell ourselves, which meant all the money we had in the world including our home had to go to Shell! Who are now boasting of billion pound profits!

Shell terrible service!

1/18/08 I paid $8.00 for a car wash. There was no indicator for how far to drive in. The brushes to wash the body of the car didn't wash. The wash cycle was extremely short, there was no rinse cycle and the car wash began to apply the finish over soapy water, so I drove out to prevent that.

The owner refused to refund my money and informed me that they 'never' give refunds.

I thought that Shell was the best automotive company. I was totally wrong. It is the worst I have ever come across. The Shell Service Station is the worst in Orange, CA. I regret going there. My friend warned me about the place but I was in an emergency situation and had no other choice but to go there. Please, please do not go there even if you have an emergency.

I wasted my money and time going there. Dealing with Shell is not difficult it is impossible. There were a lot of customers there that day and all I could think of was how do these people bear with the horrible service. The manager that helped me was a real jerk. I never met anyone like him before and pray that I don't. He was rude and made me feel like I knew nothing. I was sold a lot of stuff I did not need but had no idea what it was. I got to know that after I went home and my husband told me about it.

Shell cursing out customers and making racial surs!

The workers of the company are known to curse at customer and have made racial surs toward people. The Franchise owner was contacted and he said that he would resolve the problem but the same staff continues to make the same errors, and are not reprimanded because they are family. I have cometo notice that every time I am in the store they only seem to have a problem with African American people.

We were using the credit card at the gas station, it stated the credit was approved but we could not select the gas pump, so when we asked the cashier, he told us the card was declined, which was not true. So, we tried another pump with another credit card, we were not allowed to pay outside but has to go inside to pay because the cashier was canceled our transaction. When we questioned them, they told us to get out of the gas station. Later, I called my credit card company, they told us they did approved the transaction. I called to talk to the manager of the gas station, he refused to listen to us and hang up the phone. I WANTED AN APPOLOGY from the cahsier and store manager, you guy should treat us with respect and fair, not discriminated us like this. It was not our fault that the card reader was not working properly, the cashier should have told us nicely, instead he gave us a rude attitude (along with the amnager)

I would like to share a rather unpleasant experience I had to endure today at a shell service station.

I stopped at the shell service station at the Eastgate Mall. I was pushed for time and traveling with an overseas colleague. Since I am aware of your recent advertising campaign making customers aware of the fact that shell service stations accept debit cards, I though that that would be a better option than the BP, situated across the street. What a big mistake!

I can honestly say that I have not experienced such bad customer service as what I experienced today.

Upon arrival, I asked the petrol attendant if they accept debit cards. He confirmed that they did. When I handed him my card, he told me that they do not take chip-cards. ALL NEW DEBIT CARDS ISSUED BY THE BANKS HAVE THE 'CHIP & PIN' TECHNOLOGY! I then went into the shop, where an even more arrogant cashier told me to go and draw money in the mall, since they can not use my card. Bear in mind that the mall is currently under renovation, and I had to walk, in the heat of the day, with my colleague from the UK, around the mall to access an entrance. Not safe. Not convenient. Not going there again.

The Shell station in Parachute, CO is the dirtiest station I have ever been in. The people behind the counter are so rude I will go out of my way not to use that Shell station. The person that owns this station also owns several other businesses in town. The other businesses seem to be clean and the employees are very friendly. The people from Shell should be ashamed of how this station is run. I realize it is at a very busy location, but there is no excuse for being so understaffed when you only pay your employees minimum wage. My biggest complaint is the staff. If your not a one of the riggers you are treated like crap.

Been to this station many time to purchase cigarettes. This time, the attendant on duty wouldn't allow me to purchase cigarettes without first allowing him to scan my driver's license. I always go to a Shell Station (by choice) versus other brands. I go to this station almost all the time as it is Shell station near my job. I always pay with my credit card at the station, inside the store, and not at the pump as my bank has specifically instructed me to go inside. If I pay outside, the station will hold $100-200 for each pump, plus the total amount purchased. The station will hold the funds for 2-3 weeks. My bank has specifically stated to pay inside. Again, this is not my first time paying at the station (this one).

On 12/3/11, I stopped at station and lady at counter would not accept my payment and stated they do not take my credit card. This is clearly absurd as it is not the first time at this station or using the same card. I have dealt with a male before who is decent (not nice or rude), neutral. However, this lady was combative with me and suggested i go to another station as she was not going to waste her time with me. She then cont. to ignore me and started talking in her language which is completely unacceptable. Her service was so off, I decided to leave and visit another station (NON-SHELL) down the street. After this experience, I've decided to make it my personal business to NEVER visit another Shell station, especially this one. And if I'm out of fuel, i rather pay more to have delivered to me from another station.

I stopped in bought 1natural light beer for my husband on my way home. I took money of my sons that I had folded in my pocket out and laid on the counter 110 dollars a new 50 dollar bill and 4 twenty dollar bills. I then dug deeper into my pocket for the 1.27 that the beer cost. the manager was working and talked on the cell phone the entire time she was waiting on me which distracted me, needless to say i left my son's money lay on the counter. She had to have picked it up. When I got home and realized what i had done i called up there and asked if she had found my money in the mean time a new shift person said to me on the phone how could i know i just got here which i thought was very rude how did i know that he had just gotten there. I then went up to the station to see if he would check their video and was told he had no access to the video only the manager. I called the reynoldsburg police which called all the numbers to reach the manager and of course no answer. this happened around 6:45 - 6:55 pm today which is october 17, 2017. I just want to know if she took my money. I will not return to that gas station again because everytime i have been there she talks the entire time on the cell phone instead of giving her customers the service the deserve. Please i live on disability so i have nothing and that money means whether i have food or not. I just want to know what happened to the money i left on the counter. If you could assist me in this I would greatly appreciate it after all if you thought that i took something you would certainly look at the video footage. thank you for any help you may assist me in.

Is it me or Shell gas stations have the dirties bathrooms of all gas stations in USA.

Recently I had to make quite a long trip, around 2800 miles and no matter in which state I stopped for refuel at a Shell Gas Station the result was always the same - disgusting and dirty restrooms, which looked like they have never been cleaned from the personal who was supposed to do this.

I just wanted to share this...

No automatic turn off valve and no warning sign. While gas was pumping I was getting quarters to fill tires and that quick, gas was spewing out my tank and a good 5 gallons spilled on the ground. When I went to report it to clerk, with my shoe full of gas she RUDELY tells me it was my fault and to pay more attention to whaty I'm doing. I didn't go in to complain I only went to make them aware of the pump and was chased out the door by a woman who was under the counter and would not even listen to me. She just belittled me and the situation. The pump needs fixing or a sign. I do not know who to report it too? Awful experience and the clerk needs "Manners 101" class asap!

i noticed that this particular store finally started accepting the Bi-Lo bonus cards again since it was recently taken over by new management. so i pull in, gas was 3.349/gallon cash, but i had .40 cents off with my bonus card, so even though this price was .15-.20 cents higher than other stations that are in walking distance from this store, i thought maybe i will still get a good deal with my bonus card.

Well unbenounced to me, if you use your bonus card, debit card, or credit card they have the audacity to charge .11 more cents to the already ridiculous price. Oh my gosh, i was furious, i wanted to leave but i had to get gas, i was already there and i was short on time, i still had to take my child to school and be at work by 8:00 am. there has got to be something illegal about hiking the price up that much when this station is already the highest in town. This station is giving Shell a really bad name, i will tell everyone the awful experience I've had and i will Never go back to that store.

I went to this gasoline station Shell located in Addison, IL at 3:55 pm on today wich is April 14 2017, and i was there to buy myself a drink and put gas on my car. Well when i went to the cash register to pay the gentleman in the cash register he gave me a ripped five dollar bill and a ripped ten dollar bill. And i politely asked him if he can please change them and give me good bills but he suddenly flipped out and got mad and started cusing at me and trying to get violent and there was 1 witness and he tried to calm him down and tried tellin him that all i wanted was for him to change me the ripped money that he gave me, well he told me not to ever go there again or he will call the police. And i asked him for his name to make a report and he hid his shell badge so i couldn't see his name. I would like for u guys to do something about this because every day i go to work i need to stop there to put gas on my automobile and in the afternoon also. And if u guys dont do nothing i can't go there no more and I'm going to have to go somewhere else and i dont want to do that because everything else would be too far and more expensive. And if u guys have any questions u guys can call me at [protected]. Please do something about this I would really appreciate it.

Shell Broker comision

I went to Shella gas agency in BTM layout Bangalore. I am having all document to register for Gas connection. (Already have connection in chennai). Transfering connection from chennai to Bangalore. Shella agency Person gave one person number and ask me to contact other person. I called that person but he asked me more money from me.

Shell - no common business courtesy to assist a customer!

In 2004 I overpaid my Shell gas credit card by $200. Shell sent me a check for the same amount while I was in Indonesia, working the tsunami disaster... Consequently the check was voided (90 day limited). Note: Shell does not honor, like most businesses, a plus balance on an account. When I returned from Indonesia I returned the check, requesting a new one...

Shell - shell port should be ashamed!

We were shopping ( corner of thomas dr and front beach road) in the store and walked next door to dipping dots to get icecream when we came back 15 mins later our car had been towed mgt. said too bad cost over 120$ to get truck back had my sons asthma medication and nebulizer inside pcb was wonderful shell port should be ashamed!!!!!!!!! ever heard of customer service? terrible end to a great vacation
