is this a scam?
How disappointed I am, I found this site and liked right away, I bought 2 downloadable patterns, after several attempts I managed to print them out. So I decided to order 4 more to be mailed, Ags 3, 2015. My money was taken right away, a confirmation of my order was sent, order number 528411, I waited 2 weeks, to request shipping information, my order has not arrived as of today Ags 22, and my emails requesting information have been ignored so far, I managed to received a confirmation back from "support" that my issue had been passed on to shipping, still waiting, at this point I only want my money back, although I was still hopping that my order would arrive soon, but after reading all these complaints, I am afraid that it all was a rip off
I wished I had checked more carefully this site reputation! I will keep bugging them until I get my money back, and this is it. Never again

Website seems very unprofessional. I was taken aback when I signed up for an account (not easy in the first place) that the website did not encrypt my password and actually sent my fully spelled out password in a confirmation email. This was a red flag for me that they do not have (or understand) internet security. Nice place to browse patterns, but I would not give them any confidential information in the future.
bad service-missing pieces
I wish I had known about this site ahead of time. I am trying to make pajamas for my grandchildren and ordered one pattern to download and two via mail. The download was missing essential pieces and I have yet to receive anything in the mail. They won't answer e-mail questions and their telephone number message comes back as a Magic Jack number that has not been assigned. I'm surprised anyone has gotten through. I called it three times as posted and got the same message every time and have e-mailed as many times to no avail. They sure took the money though.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY IF YOU ACTUALLY WANT WHAT YOU PURCHASED. I ordered from this so called company on 091812. Attempted to contact them, with no avail... an answering machine picks up. Emailed them about 10 days from the date of my order for the first time, just asking when my items will be delivered. No response. Emailed them 3 more times requesting some assistance. No response. I wish I read this complaint board before ordering. If they are an actual company, they're doing a terrible job. I now just want my money back.

I ordered on 30th September 2012. I haven't received the patterns. I contacted them after 14 days and received a response saying they'd look into it. I've heard no more and received nothing. I called the number on the confirmation email but it was I obtainable. I wonder if I'll. receive these patterns?

paid for a product & didn't receive it
I ordered patterns from them in October 2011 & received partial shipment at that time. 2 items were on backorder. Received one of the patterns in December2011 after numerous e-mails to them. They told me they would be sending the second pattern & have not received it as of January 26, 2012. I have e-mailed them & have had no response from them. There is no longer a number listed on their website to contact them, plus you can no longer look up a receipt on their site. I will no longer be using them to purchase patterns as I have in the past.

I ordered 7 sewing patterns from this company on August 15 2011. My credit card was charged immediately, however I am still to receive my patterns 2 months later. I have sent 7 emails to their contact address but have not received any responses. There is no contact phone number listed on their site, so email is the ONLY avenue to contact them and when they choose to ignore your emails it is very frustrating. I wish I had seen the complaints listed on this forum before I had dealings with this company - I will certainly NOT BE DEALING with them AGAIN and will be telling all my friends and posting on the numerous sewing/craft forums that I am a member of NOT to trust this company.

poor customer service
I ordered patterns from this company in December. I did not receive any order confirmation other than paypal confirmation that my payment went through (and indeed, the money has been taken out of my account). Thinking this was odd, I emailed them for some details on order confirmation as well as the overall status of my order (as in, had it been shipped?), no answer. I proceeded to email the company a few more times and still no response. Filing a dispute with paypal did not garner a response either, so now I have a claim filed.
I have tried to contact this company is regards to patterns that I have purchased from them through their online site and they have YET to respond back. I have made two separate tries and to no avail have their responded back.
never ships provides bogus tracking
Ordered patterns and paid through PayPal then as given the run around about being backordered, they they said they would be shipped then they were backordered again with nor fulfillment dated offered. I tried to cancel and was told they would ship that week, (it was Friday)... that is when I found all kinds of other similar complaints online for this company. I opened a dispute through PayPal and escalated it to a claim. PayPal asked the them to provide tracking info and they said the shipping company name was 'email' and the tracking number was '1234'...are you kidding me! PayPal is reviewing the case now so I should have my money back by the end of the day. Do not waist your time ordering from this company! They are just trying to ripp people off

This company is somehow still around, scamming people. I wish I had researched them in more depth before placing an order. I thought since I could pay through PayPal, it would be safe. I now currently have a claim with PayPal against them, after contacting them through every method available (email, phone messages to an obviously bogus account, and through their 'support' on their website.) They only responded to me via the online support after I escalated my dispute to a claim. And now supposedly the items have been reshipped. I will not be cancelling my claim until the highly unlikely (in my opinion) event that I actually receive my order. I'm not sure how/why PayPal is still allowing their account to receive payments.

My order is for $12.09 and I placed it on Feb 17, 2011 and today is March 4 and I still haven't got anything. I got through when I sent an email. Thats when I found out it was on back ordered. I told them that they should have a way to track the order online like all other websites and it would have been nice to also receive an email telling me it was backordered. I just want to sew :(
downloadable patterns all but impossible to download
Buyer beware of an incredible waste of time, paper and printer ink. Although I did eventually receive my purchase, I wish I had just gone to the fabric store. The download process is practically impossible and unbelievably time-consuming. I am a graphic artist and work with pdf's daily, there is something WRONG with the way they have written their files. Multiple glitches, warnings and bizarre screen errors. After completing a "virtual" download, you will find that the files are locked and do not allow you to save them to your computer or access your printer dialog box when you hit print - meaning you cannot change the print preferences of this document to a low quality draft, so it will print 60 pages of high quality lines taking roughly an hour and using a lot of ink. After that you still have to glue the whole thing together before you cut it out. In the end, a $6.00 pattern also requires a half ream of paper and possibly new ink cartridges bringing the actual cost to more like $20-$60 depending on your printer.
Good idea, bad execution. Definitely do not recommend unless you love to waste money and paper.
no contact from company; credit card charged for purchase
I ordered a pattern from this company on Sept. 28, 2010 for a Halloween costume. When I didn't receive a confirmation e-mail or a response to an e-mail inquiry about my order, I did some research on the company. I sent an e-mail on Sept. 30, 2010 to cancel my order after reading the reviews on this site. (I would have saved myself a lot of time and aggravation if I had read these reviews first.)
Since then, the company has charged me the full price of my order. I called the number listed on my receipt, only to get an automated message that "the representative at extension [protected] is unavailable."
I've filed a complaint with the Southern California Better Business Bureau. Based on the number of complaints here, I'm also filing one with the California Attorney General's Office. I don't expect anything to come from either of these actions, but at least it's something.

DO NOT ORDER DOWNLOADable PATTERN- Download never works! Tried multples times, multiple computers and operating systems to download sewingpattern.com Adobe plug in for secure PDF pattern file delivery. Down load bombs and never loads. Company quick to take your money but only on line support is non existant. DID GET REFUND after emailing support to let them know it's their problem no mine. What a scam! There are other and better sites to download patterns...www.esty.com.

Stay away from Sewingpatterns.com, company is a SHAM and FRAUD. Ordered a pattern on 05/01/2010 for my grandaughter so she could sew her graduation dress, it is now 05/12/10 and havent received, my bank account was charged on 05/01/10, I keep emailing and calling and get no response, this was a simplicity pattern, so I have emailed Simplicity to see if this company is doing business with them and to let them know that sewingpatterns.com is committing fraud, stealing peoples money and using Simplicity patterns among other pattern companies to do so. I will not stop until this company is shut down.

Took my money and never sent the 2 paper patterns I ordered, also after ordering from them my debit card was hacked, I think it was them, since I see here that happened to others as well...They are THIEVES! Human Trash! We should call their local sheriff! Hey, yeah! THE SHERIFF, I bet he wouldn't like this [censor] in his county!

patterns did not arrive
I placed and paid for three separate orders but nothing arrived. I have sent email after email, each polite. After one month, I was told there had been a mix-up and the patterns would be mailed - nothing arrived. After another month and many emails later, I was told the patterns had been mailed. Nothing arrived. Now I am greeted by silence. I registered a complaint with PayPal but it says it can do nothing. I am so upset, and am short $135.40.
The website offers no recourse other than emails, which go unanswered.

lousy customer service
This company is a total scam - anything you order from them is a DEMO - especially the patterns on CD. You aren't able to print, alter, or enter your own information.
Also, the CD says that there are 35 patterns on it - a lie - there are less than 10 and you can't print any of them out, so what is the point?
If you leave a bad review on their site, they delete it and they refuse to answer their email, nor do they have a phone number.
"Margret" the founder is on several "starting your own business" blogs talking about how easy and how much "fun" her company is. She is a SCAM artist.

This company is a nightmare! They took my money for a downloadable pattern, but never sent it. Totally unresponsive to phone calls and emails. All I can say is - never, ever, order from them. You'll regret it!
I seriously wish I read everyone's review prior to ordering from them as well. I was so excited to receive all my patterns and when the package finally came...(which took forever) there were items missing and then replaced with wrong items. After many many emails I asked to speak to a manager and of course its only through email...anyway the manager said she would take care of it. Four weeks later...nothing but false claims that package was delivered. Like someone said they don't provide a phone number because they screw you over and you will have no way of communicating with anyone but through email...and through email they aren't even helpful. PLEASE DO NOT SHOP HERE. THEY LIE, MAKE IT SEEM LIKE YOUR AT FAULT, AND if your really excited to receive all the patterns you ordered like I was because of the great deal...YOU'LL BE AS UPSET AS MOST OF US HERE...because they won't give you a complete order or give you wrong item and then continuously act like they have no idea whats going on until your too tired to care anymore. I ordered Simplicity patterns from this company as it is difficult to purchase patterns my size in Singapore. My Paypal account was charged and I received a msg saying that my order had been shipped on 12 August 2017. However the address in this msg was missing one line showing my unit number when my confirmation at the end of the order showed correct address, also my complete correct address is entered under my account & shipping details.
After not receiving my package for 2 weeks (thinking shipping could be slow) I e-mailed them to find out where it was, pointing out the missing address line, after several e-mails I finally received a reply implying that I had not entered my address correctly. I emailed back pointing out that it was their system error and what were they going to do about it? I have not received any reply - I have been emailing approx weekly and still waiting for a reply and/or my package after 2 months!
I am beginning to wonder if the package was ever actually shipped as the so called USPS shipping number doesn't seem to match the type of numbers from the USPS website to track it, also if it had reached my street address they would have known which apartment by my name (there are not that many apartments in my block and the security service is helpful).
It is very frustrating that there is no phone number to call and they rarely reply to emails. I am about to submit a complaint to Paypal to get a refund...
I ordered and paid on May 22nd for one pattern that I needed in a decent amount of time. With shipping, it came to almost $12. For that price I could have gone to a store and purchased it, but I thought it would be more convenient if it just came to me in a couple of days.
It has now been 3 weeks and they have yet to respond to my emails or send my pattern. I am giving them one week to respond to this complaint or the email I sent them today and then I am opening a dispute with Paypal. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!
I orderd two patterns in 2017, it took FOUR MONTH for them to ship the items. I have emailed them(to info@sewingpatterns.com) so many times but no response. Finally I made a overseas call and they said my address was missing zip code and that is the reason why the order was pending. But they didn't do anything at all but just left the order pending, nor read my email?
Now in 2017, I ordered a pattern for maternity clothes for myself six weeks ago and still waiting my item. Since I have received order confirmation by mail, I haven't heard from them yet, even though I keep sending email to and leaving massage on voicemail. As my belly grow, I need to sew my maternity clothes for myself right now, and I will move to abroad soon so I don't know what to do. I am afraid if they ship my item after my baby born...

This happened to me too! Its been over a month now! No one is answering me back when I call or send emails. PLUS I have used them plenty of times before. This is ridiculous, I will never use them again. I will just go to the store or Simplicity.com for patterns.
I ordered a number of patterns ( over $30.00 woth) in January 2017. They charged my credit card in Australia with the cost plus the added postage. I have received absolutely nothing! no contact, no emails, no patterns...Nothing. Great stuff! Will share on facebook!.

order never processed, no customer service response
This company is supposed to be the US distributor for Burda patterns. I placed an order through Burda's website for several printed patterns. The confirmation email stated the order would be fulfilled through SewingPatterns.com, that they would email me with an order total that included shipping, and that inquiries regarding the order should be directed to [protected]@sewingpatterns.com. Since I placed the order on 10/14, I have received nothing further. Sewingpatterns.com does not provide a phone number on their website, but I was able to find a valid one via a little web-sleuthing.
I have emailed [protected]@sewingpatterns.com three times, and left 2 voice mail messages with absolutely no response. Thankfully my credit card has yet to be charged so I'm not out any money (yet), but I'm disappointed at the complete lack of responsiveness and the inability to find out what's happening with my "potential" order.
I am trying to reach this company via e-mail and phone. No results. Are they alive and if not why do they advertise over the internet? Could not get through their shopping cart, but I did get a call from some IT company saying that there was something wrong with my computer and they would help me fix it. I said no! as I though it was a scam as there is nothing wrong with my computer. PrintSew has NO working phone # listed. S's a TAY AWAY from PRINT SEW, It's a SCAM!

I am in Australia and found a pattern that perfectly met my needs, and as it was 'on sale', it was actually cheaper purchasing it and having it posted, than buying locally! What a deal!
However I have never experienced such poor service over a purchase I have made online. The order was placed on 3rd August 2010. An email was received advising that it had been posted on 8th August 2010. 2 emails and phones calls that lead no-where - I havn't received a thing. I have checked throuigh their website and they do make a point that if an address is incorrectly recorded by the purchaser, then they (sewingpatterns.com) are not at fault. I have checked this and I have put in the full correct address (receipt is proof of the address I inputted) for postage to Australia.
I have double chekced the 'ship eLert' they emailed me confirming that my package has been posted, however they have incorrectly recorded my address on that one!
I have sent emails, made unanswered phone calls, and am absolutely sick of this! A simple email response advising me that they were investigating the problem, would suffice to keep me happy, however they can't even manage that. I will be following up with my credit card companies fraud department for online purchases.
I wouldn't bother with this again! I thought it was a great idea because I often have difficulty getting patterns I want where I live. So I put in my order for downloadable patterns. Email arrived within 15 minutes as promised, but it was so difficult to download from the link. It took many, many attempts. Anyway, I printed out the patterns, but i couldn't get the instructions to print properly. I contacted the company, and had a reply the next day - "the instructions are not able to be printed out"! So I had to enlarge them on my PC, and go back and forth from my sewing room to view them. Needless to say, I made mistakes and got really frustrated. The patterns were a mission to tape together on A4 paper, and didn't line up perfectly (to be fair, this is probably just paper movement as is goes through the printer). I found the whole thing very time consuming and frustrating. Won't bother again.

I ordered two patterns from the site almost three weeks ago . I received a receipt of payment but that was it...I never received any shipping confirmation and have yet to receive my patterns. Doesn't seem like it should take too long, as I live in California. Well, the patterns were sort of time sensitive so I got them elsewhere and now I just want my money back. I've been trying for over a week to reach someone, but the phone number just ends up at a shady voicemail and no one will answer my emails (which I have sent an obnoxious amount of at this point). Does anyone actually work at this place? I feel like I'm talking to a wall.
AWFUL SERVICE, SITE. I ordered patterns on Jan 26, called twice to a fishy voicemail (no professional message or designation) and received no calls back. Site has no way to track orders. Had written them off as a fraud, when my patterns (shippe 2/13) showed up...unfortunately, 1 day before my vacation that I sought to make clothes for. I haven't taken the patterns apart yet to determine if they are good or not. NEVER EVER EVER BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE!

I agree with all the upsetting comments. This must be some third country operated business. I still have not received any answers to my emails. It's impossible to print out these instructions online and worst of all some of the instructions are not in English. You can't get in touch with anyone over the phone, which is pretty fishy. I'm putting a complaint to National Cyber Security.

I ordered 2 patterns from this online store 16 (!) days ago, and my order is still in their warehouse.
After waiting one week, I e-mailed them to check what is wrong with my order and why it has not been shipped yet. Got a reply that "one of your patterns is back-ordered, so your order will be shipped next week as soon as it will be available". (Please note, they didn't mentioned that this item is back-ordered on their web-site, neither did they e-mailed me to inform about the delay.) OK, I decided to wait until "next week". But nothing really happened "next week". Moreover, I e-mailed them asking about the update concerning my order and no one answered. So not only their customer department doesn't have a phone, it also can choose not to answer customer's e-mails, which is a sign of pure negligence.
So, after waiting for 16 days, I'm now canceling my order with them.
Do not order from them, the prices are lower by a few bucks, but you will wait for months literally for your order to arrive.
One more thing, there are a lot of nice words about their service in the testimonials part of their web site from "real people". After dealing with sewingpatterns.com, I doubt those real people exist.

wrong order/no response
Please Read! I wish I would have checked out this company prior to ordering anything. I ordered an item, paid for priority shipping, and received the wrong item. I emailed them 4 times with no response. They don't even provide a phone number. Now I know why, they would get too many complaints on their horrible service! Stay away from these people!

2 months ago I ordered around 20 patterns from them and have received only 11... and even that took waaaay too long to arrive.. i'm from europe but 1, 5 month is too long.. they havent replied to any of the 5 emails i have sent to info@sewingpatterns.com... now i know why they don't have a phone nr on their page!
anyways i tried the nr someone mentioned on this page and they do not answer the phone.. ever...
i too wish ive checked this company before purchasing.. do not buy from them people it is a scam... they basically stole my money from me and obviously i'll never order again...
I ordered several patterns in June. I received four that were what I ordered but they sent me the wrong pattern for the fifth one. I've sent five emails and called four times without a response. I'll never order from them again if they don't make this right.
Their phone number is [protected], at least that's what's on my receipt. When I call, I get an answering machine saying that "extension" is busy and to leave a message.
Unfortunatly, I too did not check out this company beforehand. I ordered several patterns for my 10 yr old daughter 2 mos ago. Timing is everything as these were for a 4-H project and our farm isn't nearly as busy during the winter months-allowing me to help her more. I just recieved an email that patterns were shipped. Nobody responded to my emails a month ago using the email address provided by THEIR WEBSITE. Suddenly my order is shipped now? Had I ordered elsewhere, I could have recieved the patterns, bought the fabric and my daughter could have finished her projects by now. Please do not use this company, I should have known something was wrong when they did not provide any mailing address or phone number.
