I bought a service washing machine out of the Littlewoods catalogue on credit, it was on a buy now pay September deal. We received the machine in November 2007.
After 7 months the washing machine began leaking all of its water so as the machine came with 12 months garuntee we phoned the manufacterer. An engineer came out the next week and revealed a big hole under neath that was caused by a 5 pence piece. I was told they would write to us to arrange a date for it to be fixed as they needed to order the spares.
Two weeks later we had'nt heard anything so we rang them and was told the parts had not arrived yet. More weeks passed and we still had'nt heard anything so we rang again, being put on hold for at least half an hour each time, and kept being told they was waiting on the parts. Eventually after ringing several more times we was told they was only waiting on one more part for the machine and that it should arrive by the end of the week. That week passed and so did the next without hearing anything.
Finally after 8 weeks and several more phone calls later we phoned them and demanded to speak to a manager who could only offer us a machine of a lower grade to replace our existing one. I had no choice but to accept as it is torture not having a washing machine and a family of five, and i couldnt go and get a new one as i still hadnt finished paying for this one.So now I am paying more money for a machine than what its worth! I am disgusted in the way we was treated and at the way Service handled my problem.
