SEP Connect is extremely concerned about the allegations made in regards to this fake SEO complaint. We strive to treat all of our customers and business partners with honesty, integrity and respect so it is deeply disturbing when these sorts of allegations are made against our company. We are also an open and transparent company. And so it is with that in mind that we must not only provide a response to the allegations made here, but also offer anyone with a legitimate business complaint the opportunity to voice it directly to us.

First, to the person or company that made this post, please contact our Customer Service Department at [protected] so that we can rectify any problem you may have with us. Second, for everyone else reading this complaint, SEP Connect asserts that the claims made in this post are without merit, have no basis in fact and have no bearing on what we do as a company. The first allegation made is that “Sep cpnnect (Connect) is a bogus seo company.” In fact, we are not an SEO company at all nor do we claim to be one. SEO companies optimize other company’s websites in order to increase their visibility in search engine rankings. Conversely, we specialize in SEP or Search Engine Placement. Our goals are similar to SEO but our methodologies are different. With Search Engine Placement we do not touch our client’s websites. We place our clients’ business information organically on the front page of Google through our own optimized websites and do not charge our clients until we get them there. We provide a financial guarantee that if the clients’ information is not present on the front page of Google for more than 3 key terms, we provide a full refund. We never promise the ranking of an individual website as this would break Google TOS (terms of service).

The second allegation made is that “SEP Connect steals other companies rank.” This is not possible without modification of the site sending PageRank. Per our end-user agreement we do not touch any portion of our client’s websites and therefore cannot manipulate or “steal” the PageRank. Additionally, Google would de-rank, and subsequently black list our sites if we either stole or passed page rank, both of which are against Google TOS. Quite to the contrary, our ranking methodologies are based on a relevant content based approach that is prescribed by Google in the publicly available guidance that it provides to all professionals engaged in search engine marketing. And, our methodology works 90% of the time. Therefore, engaging in black hat ranking methodologies or violating Google’s TOS would be a poor business decision that is not in the best interests of our clients, our company or our employees.

The third allegation made is that “SEP Connect shows their clients nothing but a magic trick full of deceipt (deceit) and deception.” Again, we are an open and transparent company. Our promise is simple – We will place your business on the front page of Google in 45 days or less and we will not charge you until you get there. And, we deliver on that promise 90% of the time. We also work consultatively with our clients. We allow our clients to pick the most searched key terms in their industry, and author the list with our clients before the list is finalized. We then build individual pages on our optimized websites using original content from the client’s website or from our content writers to place businesses organically on the front page of Google. We also provide a back end dashboard to monitor keyword performance.

The fourth allegation made is that “Sep Connect hacks into free press release sites and then looks for articles of other companies that show up high in the search engines.” First off, this allegation is completely without merit and has no basis in fact. We do not in any way take content from another company and claim it as our own. Second, free PR sites are just that, legitimate businesses that syndicate content for profit. We, like many other companies, license that content for use on our own site as well as distribute our own content through their networks. It is a common, legitimate, arms-length business transaction.

Finally, we pride ourselves on our business practices, our relationship with Google and a strict compliance to their TOS, as well as customer service and satisfaction. We currently have a price of $199/month for our service with only a one time set-up fee of $197 due up front. For exclusive organic Google placement with a financial guarantee, we believe our price is quite low compared to industry standards and the value that we provide to our clients.
