Seniorpeoplemeet.com is the biggest rip off site for the mature singles. I thought it would be better as the age range would give me a broader spectrum than the usual. Well, many people on this site are only members, but not paying members, and that simply means that they cant "write you" but only flirt. Also, you can't tell the difference, non paying or paying, if it is an actual message or flirt until its opened. I was thinking I had messages( e-mails) from other members when I finally signed up and here, they were flirts from other states. So...almost 6 months on this site..met one local who was only interested in sex...that was it. I have ask numerous times for my money to be returned or a portion, and they NEVER answer back.

DO NOT WASTE your hard earned money! I have no respect for the owners of this rip off senior site!

SeniorPeopleMeet is a very poor site and is very unsafe. My account has been hacked into three times and somehow scammers have gotten my personal email. I now get regular emails from these scammers claiming I gave them my personal email address. The company has done nothing except send me a form letter in an email. They don't make it easy either to file a complaint.

This is the worst relationship site. It is the biggest scam. Most of the time you get lots of flirts and no response when you reply. If you are lucky to communicate with any of the men they try to rip you off for money. When you cancel your membership they continue to collect payment from your bank account and it takes long time to get someone to solve the problem. I think the people that work there are part of the this big scam. Beware of this fraudulent site.

I paid for one month to retry the site and the site charged me for several months So instead of paying $ 29.00, the charged my card 111.00. I tried to contact them to correct their mistake, and there is no number to reach them just an email. Not good!. I will stop payment on my end and then, that's it. No More!

I get many messages that say they are interested so I write back and I do not know how to get their messages thus the $100 I spent is a scam.

ALL the dating sites are like this. Match.com Our Time Senior People Meet...None of them will show you who pays and who doesn't. You can't tell and All of them are the same...the ones that do not pay can not read messages. 99% of the people put their profiles on and NEVER pay and NEVER remove their profiles. Same profiles are on ALL of them for years and years and are never taken off or updated.

If other dating sites are like this one, god help online daters. Difficulty navigating subscription and membership cancellation procedures. Two weeks into a one-month subscription, I cancelled. Also sent emails to SPM customer service requesting confirmation of cancellation in the event I am billed again. Continued to receive flirt messages despite cancellation. Called People Media @[protected] three times, insisting on cancellation confirmation. The site has no business integrity. Caveat emptor. Always research a site before giving out that credit card number!

SPM has a practice of creating "false" profiles that include attractive pictures of God knows who (The profiles are fake, so it's difficult to say where they get the pictures). I suspect thousands of people join SPM in order to contact these fake profiles. The fake profiles will even send you fake flirts in order to draw you in. What a scam. I suspect millions of dollars are being robbed from unsuspecting people wanting to contact nonexistent attractive men and women. The FBI really needs to investigate SPM, It's Our Time, and any other dating site associated with these two.

I have had pretty good experience on Sr. people meet AKA ourtime.com. However, I also go and get a gift card to subscribe, and limit the amount on the gift card to what I want to buy. I would never give them carte blanche to keep charging my card.

I think that the quality of over 50 women here is the best - I've had several longer relationships from it, and at least here in the metro NYC area, it's a never ending stream. Also, if you call up the their 800 number, you can ask for 25% off (used to be 50% off by request) but you have to wait for those to be sent to you after you expire. And yeah, they have that stupid processing fee every time you reorder. But, if you want to find someone, I think this is a good place. If you want something cheaper, go to POF.com. It's still all free for emails, but they 're changing fast and limiting their free features. Good luck!

Why are these people allowed to still be scamming people? And now, they refuse to allow the site to open so I can see IF they sent a "possible match" who lived nearer that 4 or 4 states away. They tell me my address is no good and it has been good enough for them to accept my money this past year. These "matchmakers" truly are scam artists preying on lonely people.

Agree to all of the above. One must be careful but makes the whole industry look bad. If your still looking I'd recommend the new site. It's fun and it's exciting and FREE. And it works! No one under 50 and it's new! I love it. Sit along is a great site. I gave hem comment they made changes. But check it out. Sitalong on google

I stupidly tried a trail membership for $23.94 but cancelled the next day. They not only kept the money but also took $81.93 from my account which I don't even know what it was for. If you call them they say they won't give you back anything and they block the bank from calling them. Horrible people. I learned a lesson the hard way. I am going to have to change my credit card so they can't do anything else.

I can' believe how many similar complaints regarding this company are posted. There must be a way to expose them for their criminal activity. I have contacted them numerous times, complaining and never received one contact from them. They continue to charge me every month,

I am going to contact the BBB and the Attorney General and I suggest everyone else do the same. With large numbers of people doing this maybe we can shut them down. I am sick of the monthly charges.

Let's do this!

POF is no better than the rest. There are so many truly sick individuals perusing these sites in order to play fantasy games. I think the old fashioned way of meeting people through friends, grocery stores, etc. is still the best best. Hopefully someday there will be dating sites that are more controlled and secure. Even E-harmony is a scam. They collect profiles then send them to people who come up as good matches. Many of the potential matches are inactive which means your profile dangles in there and is used as bait for the next unsuspecting seeker.

Hey fellow late bloomers,

Why complain about the site? If you don't like it, set up your own site and do it right all the way. Common sense is key to any thing you do and if you are not well equipped upstairs, stay out of the game. If you are not successful contracting friendship or love within your sphere of influence, what makes you think it's any easier worlds away? Use this forum to explore and learn how to present yourself and win. Some of you post very poor quality uninspiring photos and make boring demands. Some of you look like you were wrestling with your dog before snapping the photos. My goodness, for once get real and don't present people with what you won't buy. You have done well doing the right things to preserve your life but nature has eroded your profile significantly. Don't you think you should make extra effort to polish up your image for better appeal? Best regards.

I too fell for this site. They advertise for free, but then turn around and charge you. I asked for money back and they refuse. I don't get any results. I corresponded with a man couple of times and no longer hear. I too feel this is a scam and not on the up and up. I've looked as several dating sites and they are the same. advertise for free and then turn around and want your money, even
christian mingle, no different. Dishonesty!

Interesting reading your scripts. I did send flirts to some ladies but I cannot register as a member because each time my card was declined. I wonder why!. I am in the UK.and I am beginning to wonder if this site has been blocked by the UK authorities? I wonder if anybody else in the UK is having the same problem?
Apparently I have a message from "Doppdonna". If you are Doppdonna and you sent me a message please get in touch, because I cannot access your message if you do indeed exist.

Total rip-off, no refunds, no customer service, computer generated emails that don't address your problem.
Almost all men are non paying men that "flirt" for 0 and expect you to pay to join in order to email them back. They don't have the large dating pool as advertised. what a waste of time and money.

i registered on the site and was curious to become a paid member because of the tactics used by the site, they send you never ending messages til you become a paid member, from members that are no longer on site, after 3 days of viewing profiles i never found the so called members and that"s not even the worst of it, in certain profiles i seen many pictures of children posted, not with account holder but by themselves ! being they do not do back ground checks on members, it easy to a pedophile to get into a phoney interest relationship and go after the children ..the pictures go thru a approval process so why do these people approve these pictures ..i was very disappointed needless to say i will never go on a dating site again seeing the way they work these sites ..its unbelievable how they allow this ...i was on senior people meet ...they just forgot to finish the name and put CHILDREN at the end...

Yes I've received the flirts and letters where you can tell they're not from a person. I've even received the exact same message from several different user names. I've also met a few very nice people through this site. My problem now is that I can't log in, over a week now I get a message that my username or password is incorrect (they are not). I used the "forgotten password" link and I never get the email from them so I can reset my account. I've emailed them 5 times already and have received responses but no solutions. I'm paid up for 6 months and I can't get in.

I not only was a member of SeniorPeopleMeet, but i married a man I met on the site. Reading your letters, alot of you seem gullable, and you're so confounded because you think you're being "scammed." Grow up, get smart. If you can't manage to be online without being taken advantage of, then you're not savvy enough or smart enough to be operating in this "cyber" environment. sure, there are scammers, and sure... these companies are out to make money, but you should know that before you goin. Reading all these angry hostile letters that basically say the same thing is a pathetic experience. Many of you give too much information about yourselves, and therefore, you deserve to be exploited, you're acting stupidly and getting what you ask for. If internet dating doesn't work for you, go to church, join a club, meet your neighbors, get on a bowling team, do SOMETHING that you can handle without whining and complaining.

Seniorpeople.com
I was a member, my membership expired they were instructed not to renew they did anyway. Once they have a credit card they will do what they want, beware. File complaints against these companies and lets put them out of business. Let them live on the street were they belong with the trash in the gutter.

PEOPLE-
This site is owned by match.com now. People media has been sold several times within the last five years. It is NOT two women from Arizona but, some of their employees work in Arizona because they were based there before being absorbed by match.com. They do not treat the fraud accounts aggressively and (at least in the past) did not shut down the african scammers accounts but, rather dummy blocked them (their outbound messages were not being delivered). The crappy thing about this is it causes a great deal of confusion and potential matches for legitimate clients whose accounts were hacked, even after their accounts were restored. Sadly, the scammers move onto other accounts and the cycle continues. The other big problem with this company..they never had enough customer service help to meet the demands of their 20+ dating sites. I saw a commercial tonight for ourtime.com and sure enough, its the same company as seniorpeoplemeet.com. Just a heads up.
