Wow im in the process of signing up with them at this time. With new insurance Priorty Health, added this company into my package for my insurance. I didn't know the company name until they called me today and left a message saying it was going to expire unless I called them and gave them my updated bank info. Because my card I gave the insurance company expired dec 1, Bu ti just thought for the heck of it I would look them up when the message said my FREE MEDS. Who gives FREE MEDS that's why I looked them up and saw all of this.. Now I'm confused to even go through with all this.. I'm shocked on how the manager was even talking to a couple people on here.. Not real professional.

It's the same old story.. They are robbers. Brad Williams does not want to help you. He only wants to steal your money. I wish I had read the HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINTS about them before I foolishly attempted to sign up. I cancelled the next day but they kept ALL of my money! I never signed any papers or got any medications! Brad must be sitting up in his big house laughing at all of us!

Everyone who has complained here, also go to: [redacted].com,
They want to help put this company out of business! Good luck to us all.

to "Really?!?!" I know your comment is old but ythe same thing you are saying is the same thing the people from SCBN say, you clearly work for them so why not be brave and put your real name instead of putting the word "Really?!?!" as your display name it's probably Brad himself posing as another person you seem to be the ONLY person on here defending them besides "Brad" who btw I've not ever talked to or heard of whenever I call them and ask to speak with a manager they send me to a "Bob" who is more than likely Brad himself just using another name not to mention I am pretty sure you are an American "Really?!?!"as well as, since this company does not even help people from other countries, they only help the uninsured and low income Americans! Brad you need to do the right thing and stop scamming people who are already less fortunate out of money, you all in fact do not tell us that it is a monthly membership fee you tell us you can help us get our medications for a low fee that the one time membership fee is $50 the $35 is for the medications and you say it states that on your paperwork in the membership kit but your paperwork actually contradicts everything you are saying "Brad" in fact it states exactly what your "advocates" mention over the phone, lies! The great thing about having a printer that scans, sends faxes, emails etc etc is that even if you do send back the membership kit so you can get a full refund make sure you have scanned everything to your computer so that you will have proof that you were in fact a member of theirs and that you did send back the membership kit make sure you keep the receipt as well as the tracking number the postal service gave you because I've read where people have stated where they will act as if they cannot locate their membership as well as say they never received the membership kit back they will also deny that they went back into your account when the bank statement states otherwise when I busted "Howard" he basically tried to get me off the phone because he knew that he had been caught in a lie and that he couldn't possibly tell me why i wasn't getting my medications let alone where my $35 was going! Do not let these people try to hustle you fight them until the very end, I hope people actually see this and back out before giving them their information never give people your information and let them pull money out of your account before you actually receive your stuff, what I don't like is that they pull the money off your account before you even join them or sign any kind of contract or paperwork with them before they even know if you're actually gonna go through with it they pull the $85 out of your bank account they also kept getting stuff wrong on my paperwork that should have been enough for me to not do business with them and suddenly my doctor was sending in the wrong prescription which i know isn't true since I have a copy of the prescription with me :') but i tried to give them the benefit of the doubt because they assured me they'd get me my medications and I was desperate and am extremely sickly as well also my medications were supposed to ship out weeks in advance but it would almost be an entirely new month and still nothing, stay away from these crooks they are the lowest of the low and at the end of the day they will get their comeuppance God sits high and looks low and he sees all and he will eventually stop these demons.

The excessive amount of complaints is an automatic red flag. My sister got a family member trapped in the unprofessional, point the finger at everybody else so called advocacy team scam. My relative had monies taken out of her account for 3 months yet has NEVER received medication. It is my intent to expose these scammers and agree that a class action suit should be filed. May I strongly suggest for now to blast them on ALL media sites, report to Better Business Bureau, contact local news department that focuses on consumer issues, GO TO THE BANK AND SEIZE THEM FROM TAKING ANYMORE MONIES OUT OF ACCOUNT! ( I just did this for relative) AND CHANGE ACCOUNT INFORMATION. With the quantity of complaints SCBN has against them, it is only a matter of time. To begin class action suit, email lyricrains@yahoo.com...TOGETHER THE WRONGED WILL HAVE JUSTICE!

This complaint is absolute true We joined in Nov 17th 2015.We paid to join 80.00.Since the we have paid 35.oo monthly fee for Nov and Dec and have not received any thing. I call Dec 7th and was told they had everything they needed and was submitting it to the pharmacy and I should call in a few days to check the status. .I called today Dec 14 @015 and was told our application has been canceled because we didn't get it to the pharmacy on time .So we will need to reapply next year 2016.i was told I cannot get ant money back .I asked about the 35.oo and was told that is for the work they do to get meds I applied for? Why was I paying for. I hope you will be able to explain to my satisfaction. I want to trust you but its beginning to look a little shady.

To the prior complaint; I wonder if you actually used their "service"? I was charged an initial membership fee of $85.00 and $35.00 each month thereafter starting THAT MONTH! (Double pay?). I never finished my membership application and certainly never received a single med. They did nothing to help me and certainly did not advocate for me in any way. I will be contacting a lawyer by the end of the week and wonder about the protocol for a class action lawsuit. I think that the pharmaceutical companies must be notified of this and i think I'll begin with Shire.

SCBN keeps saying that they inform customers that they are paying for a membership fee. I am a college professor and took notes while I was speaking with the company representative. He mentioned that I had to pay a one time membership fee, but he also said that after that fee my medication would only be $25 per medication X 3 medications= $75 per month. He intentionally committed fraud by misleading me with the belief that this medication cost his company as well. There is absolutely no way that hundreds of people have all been wrong, and that the company is in fact being as upfront and honest as they claim. To the person on here that is astounded that we Americans want things for free. Paying $75 per month plus the registration fee amounts to over $1, 000 a year. I barely make $30, 000 a year and am already paying huge amounts in doctors bills and 120k in student loans. So yes, paying for a medication that I could get for free from the pharmaceutical company really does upset me. These people are dishonest, and its the worst kind of dishonesty. This is the kind of dishonesty that targets the sick and poor people in our country who are already discouraged and struggling to survive. They should be ashamed of themselves, and any employee who works there is not doing an honest days work (and they know it).

I don't understand how people get complain about paying a small monthly fee to have a company handle the paperwork for you? I mean, of course you can do it for free for yourself. Just like you can clean your carpets yourself, but often people will hire a company to do so. You can prepare your taxes yourself, but often you use a tax preparer or accountant. You can even represent yourself in court, but most people choose to hire an attorney. SO WHAT if they charge you a small monthly fee to handle the paperwork for you and assist you?!?!? I mean really?!?!? If you were paying $400 a month, and they completed all the paperwork and filing and refills for you to get your medicine sent to you, how can you complain about paying $30 a month. That's the problem with Americans, everyone wants everything for free. Get a clue people!

I wonder if you are all aware that you can most often get these drugs directly from the manufacturers on their prescription assistance programs for nothing. Your doctor, clinic or pharmacy will help with the paperwork.

I am here checking on this company before applying for a job there. I don't think I'll be applying. I am shocked to discover people being charged large amounts for this service.

I recently lost a 30 year job, and cobra ran out. So I contacted SCBN for help on my husbands scripts. The
associate took basic info, income, name & name of medication. Said he would call back if I qualified. He did
about an hour later. Congradulations you qualify. In the mean time I googled the company because they
wanted to take the money out of my checking acct. Glad I did. SCAMS! He wanted a $50 application fee and
$35 a month out of my checking acct. By the way the $50 wasn't mentioned prior. I confronted him on
the internet scams, and how he could take my word for it on my income. I explained how I contacted Lilly assistance they sent me a application and in return I sent them my copy of 2010 incometax return and had my doctor fill out the perscriptions and he sent it in to lilly. I received 4 months of each med FREE . All I had to do was pick them up at the doctors office. When I told him that He Hung UP The Phone ON Me. Don't give anyone who wants money up front from your checking or credit card info. PLEASEEEEEEEEEE

Yes these people do take your money and do absolutely nothing for you. They told my wife that for $30. a month they would supply our medicines. Then they said they could only supply one, not a good deal. We found another place that supplys all 6 of our medicines at a lower cost. Select care will not refund our money and says we agreed to that. They are liars and frauds. Do not do any business with these people. If you need help with medications go to A Z & Me. Much better help and cheaper.

Dear Lesia,

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. I have spent some time going over your case with our Advocate Team, and I think that you will find the resolution to meet your expectations.

I know that you were concerned about being allowed to cancel and that the programs are free if you do it yourself. However, SCBN explains that they are free at www.SCBN.org and we tell you that on the phone. You only were paying membership dues which is also explained on the site and by everyone that works for us.The Patient Assistance Programs are great programs that help hundreds of thousands of uninsured Americans, but there is a lot red tape for people to get through. We were there to assist you by acting as your advocates. To address your cancellation request, when you requested to cancel in the 1st 30 days we allowed you to cancel exactly as you requested.

We do regret the experience that you had when you were a member. We are certainly happy to offer you a free month of membership so that you can get the medication that you need if you decide that you are unable to get through the red tape by yourself. We are confident that in this time period of using your membership, you will not only receive your medications but also be very happy with our ability to assist you in receiving your medications. Please contact me at [protected] so that we can get you started.

Sincerely,

Brad Williams

Dear Pinkunicorn,

Select Care is a business in good standing in the community. Select Care Benefits Network is a patient advocacy organization. We act as a person’s advocate by helping a person become enrolled onto patient assistance programs for a small monthly fee. These programs distribute free prescriptions to patients that qualify financially and therefore save them hundreds of dollars a year. We do not sell or ship medications and we never hold ourselves out to do this. We are not a prescription company, we are a patient advocate company and we are completely clear as to what we do and how we assist people. All patients find us through someone we work with or on the internet at www.scbn.org where they must read the website and fill out an online application in order to be contacted. It is at this time that we contact someone where they verbally agreed to the Patient Advocate and Membership Agreement.

Since you only call yourself PinkUnicorn and give me no real complaint to address I can not help you at this time. Good luck to you in the future.

Truly,

Brad Williams

You can go on line and get your meds for FREE without SCBN stealing your money! They are oh so nice while taking your info over the phone and state there will be a one time fee of $50.00 and to get your credit card ready, and then you find out that you have been charged $110.00! They charge you right off the bat without a signed contract, doctor's prescriptions or proof of income. They also supposedly record your conversation, but as the advocate reads in a very low inaudible voice, you aren't sure what you are agreeing to, but they say you can cancel within 30 days. NOT! They steal your money and charge you for services you never receive, and according to them, this is all perfectly legal in Texas! I'll be damned. Class action suit? You betcha. But how about going on national television so the entire nation can hear about how hey prey on low income and elderly people!

This is supposed to be an "advocacy group" and trying to help people. I have epilepsy and they told me that I could get my drugs for 40.00 a month...I thought great! The drug companies offer THESE DRUGS FREE to people at low incomes. Go to the drug makes of the prescription, and call them. This is what this group should do, instead of ripping people off who need help.

I charged the $50.00 fee on a credit card and now they want to keep the application fee and bill my for $120.00 for the "services" not products I have not received. I plan to send back their packet certified mail.

I have contacted the South Carolina Consumers Affairs and also the Attorney General here in SC. Just a bunch of salespeople working on commission.

Dear SanFran,

If I knew who you are I could assist you, but that is difficult since I do not know your identity. I have many members in California but I don't have anyone listed in Mill Valley.

Select Care is a very easy to reach and if someone is trying to cancel their membership with us, the guidelines to close out membership are easily explained and all members have a copy of how. If you provide the information necessary to establish who you are, I will help you as quickly as I can.

Allen,
You keep making the same strange claims about medicines being illegal and other strange complaints. It is unfortunate that you chose not to use your membership during the time that you were a member with us. We would even offer you a free month if you would like to come back and we can help you get your medications in the future.

In fact, we had assumed that you no longer had a complaint. We offered you mediation through the Better Business Bureau and you declined and no one has heard from you since. I wish you luck in procuring your medications in the future, Allen. Good luck to you.
