Sears online selling; misrepresentation of delivery date

Good morning,

I'm hugely disappointed in how a organization like Sears can build a process that misleads the customer during the sales process. Here are the details:

Order #[protected]

On Saturday I chose to purchase the dishwasher on this order because Sears offered the earliest delivery date: May 1st. Once I placed the order, the delivery for May 1st was confirmed for between 7 am and 9 pm.

When I'd not heard anything yet today (your confirmation stated if the day before delivery was a Sunday I would be contacted the next business day), I called Customer Service. They confirmed that delivery was slated for today but that I had to contract the delivery/install # to get the time frame.

I called that number and was told by Calvin (id # 888017) that my unit was only being delivered to the Sears warehouse today, and that a delivery date had not been established. He called the delivery warehouse to see if he could get my delivery expedited, but no one at the warehouse was answering his call. He left a message and sent them an email.

So now I've gone from a delivery date on your system of May 1st, to unknown with little hope of follow up from a delivery service that doesn't take calls from Sears. It seems unlikely that you can make this right...so:
how do you make this better, and how do you address your fraudulent online selling practice

Sears dispenser for kenmore dishwasher

Re: why sears is in trouble...

Dear mr. Lampert,

We are long-time sears customers with various appliances, vacuums, tools and other apparatus in our home purchased at sears stores.

I know from press coverage that sears is troubled. I thought I would share with you our recent experience that may suggest one of the reasons why.

We have a kenmore dishwasher model [protected], serial number fk5306244.in mid-february, the cap to the rinse aid dispenser was not installed properly, with the result that it came off during a wash cycle and was mangled.

I went online to find the replacement part and found that rather than just replace a 50-cent cap, I had to replace the entire dispenser for $77.31, and that there was a substitution part for the original dispenser (The substitution being part 8558129). I ordered the part on february 21st. The woman who handled my order assured me it was the correct part.

I received the part (With no installation instructions) early in march. When I disassembled the door to install the part, I found that the existing part and it were different, in that the existing part had 3 wiring connections while the substitution part had 2.

On march 4th, I sent the attached email and pictures seeking assistance, and had no reply. I resent the email on march 11th, and still had no reply. As you will easily see from the pictures, both parts have 2 wiring connections on the left, but only the existing part has a 3rd wiring connection at the lower right-hand corner.

Thereafter I called sears home services and was told I had to talk to sears parts direct. I called sears parts direct. The representative put me on hold while she checked to see if my issue had ever been raised before and came back and said it had on 2 occasions. After a long conference with her supervisor, she said that the proper part would be shipped to me on an expedited basis. She assured me that the part would have not only the 2 wiring connections at the left, but also the 3rd one at the lower right-hand corner.

In the meantime, at her request, I used a shipping label she emailed to me to return the substitute part. The replacement part arrived perhaps a week later, in a box from whirlpool corporation labeled “factory certified parts”.

Unfortunately, as you will easily see from the 3rd picture I have enclosed, the replacement part is the same as the original substitution part.in other words, it has places for the 2 wiring connections at the left, but no place for the 3rd wiring connection at the lower right-hand corner.

So: more than a month has passed since this process began, I am “out” $77.31 plus several hours’ time (Which is valuable to me, as, since I am a semi-retired attorney but still practicing, time is my “product”), I have been ignored twice, and after being assured that the issue had been researched and the correct part would be sent to me on an expedited basis, i’ve received the same substitute part I received in the first place.

I would like my $77.31 refunded, permission to simply keep the rinse aid dispenser cap from the part I received, as it fits properly, and a shipping label to return the part I received minus the dispenser cap. Too, I would like sears to reflect on this, as its customers ought not to have to go through this kind of experience.

Sears grace creative design pro software

I purchased this software March 17, 2017. At a decent price. It arrived earlier than expected . After researching the item before the arrival I realized this is not the product I wanted. I wanted Grace Designers Creative touch. There is a huge difference between the 2 software's. The one ordered is only for designing the other for stitching on my long arm quilter. I promptly tried to return the UNOPENED box and they pushed me off to a 3rd party vendor whom I never paid or had contract with. This is after 2 weeks of phoning and saying they would send a ship label. They took my $400 quickly but clearly not in much hurry to find out the problem.

I requested a full refund since they do not have the software I want. They referred me to click here2shop.com, the 3rd party vendor. The twit I had email contact with, said the software was all the same LOL.. Since then I had been in touch with the Grace Company and talked to the president of the Grace Co. and purchased the correct software. Believe me the two software's are not the same. They do not carry it ONLY dealers to sewing stores can carry it because they need to know specifics of your quilter and
cost 4X more!
The Clickhere2 shop.com tried to tell me they would replace it but with the one I already had and they were both the same. Then the story changed we do not return software hmm it's un-opend ... doesnt matter I guess.

Legally this vendor is not my probem Sears is I bought from sears. they need to deal with it or suffer a law suit.

Sears mattress

Policy of Sears is to only do 1 comfort exchange or return and after first mattress purchase being way too firm, like sleeping on cardboard, we exchanged for the first one I had picked in the store, a plush, pillow top, cushy one. I like soft cushy and this one I knew would work, it was so soft in the store. Delivered a few days ago and this does not feel cushy at all, feels more like a firm but how would I know if I really got the right mattress. I never even got a new receipt for the exchanged mattress and after calls to customer service where I was first told I could return it and another two days later after being told sorry, it is policy several times, after being put on hold for half hour when I asked for a manager but no manager was available, I was basically told too bad, it is POLICY even though I would be willing to pick out another Sears mattress(a more expensive one at that and pay return fees). They just don't seem to care so I am stuck with this uncomfortable mattress that I really don't even know is the plush one I ordered. I will not shop at Sears again, I already stopped buying appliances here do not know why I didn't follow my gut on this, but gave them a chance because I had to buy some clothes for my son and it was convenient to go to Sears the day I happened to sit on a mattress that was so soft and then decided to give them a chance. Mistake!

Sears delivery

The delivery was schedule between 2:30 and 4:30 PM. We were called at 3:30 by delivery guys. It was raining and they suggested we reschedule so the rain would not damage our appliances. It was clear they did not want to make the delivery. They told us they were not allowed to back into our driveway AND they were not allowed to unbox in our house. We told them that was cazy...were they from the funny farm? They then told us they were leaving, and to find someone more professional to deliver our appliances.

We were supposed to have a exercise bike delivered yesterday along with retrieving old bike, when they finally did show up, they would not enter the house because we have a dog, but, they never asked if we had any animals that would cause any disruptions of delivery and assembly. Now when i call to reschedule they want to wait one week, which is unacceptable. We ordered the bike because my client needs to continue is regiment of exercise. Also speaking with someone who barely spoke English.

Sears was scheduled to deliver our new refrigerator today. It arrived damaged. I lost out on food that I bought before they arrived. I spent one hour on the phone trying to reschedule delivery and 45 minutes of that was being on hold. When I did speak with people, they barely spoke English. On top of all this aggravation, I have to wait three more days for the delivery.

Sears beds and warranty claim (do not buy any bed from sears)

I purchased two Beautyrest Mattress, base and metal bed frame. I paid for them to be delivered and installed.

The bed (mattress) we use all the time has started to sag in the middle. My wife and I continue to complain about bad back pain when we wake up.

I called Sears and they asked me a for a bunch of information and photo's. I provided the photos, excluding one thing, a photo of the law tags, as they simply do not exist on either Mattresses or the bases. All four have been removed very clinically, I do not have them.

Sears responded to me, advising that the claim is denied because the metal base was not fitted correctly (Centre support bar not fitted) and the law tags are missing.

I explained that I had paid for proper installation by Sears professionals, however it appears that they are anything but professional. I also explained that that the additional support bars were left behind by the Sears team that installed the beds.

This is what Sears must believe: That after the Sears delivery and installation team came, I took apart the beds, removed the center support from both beds, tore off the law tags from the mattresses and the bases and threw those out, while keeping the informative tag and receipts and warranty booklet - ridiculous!

The bottom line is that Sears have zero intention to honor the warranty, take no responsibility in this situation and are simply not willing to offer any solution - they just don't care.

My advice to anyone considering purchasing from Sears, is to rather go somewhere else.

Sears repair service/ misrepresentation

I was quoted on a deal with SEARS repair service to fix a dryer that I got off Craig's List. I was told that after I paid for the diagnostic's test for 90$ that the service was included but I might have to pay for the part. I was told something different on another day saying that it was all included. LIES! Their customer service / sales reps must not know what they are talking about. After I paid 90$, he handed me a 266$ bill... Don't tell the customer one thing and then try to rip them off. Nobody will give me my money back or do anything about the issue. I wouldn't have paid them to come out for a 150$ dryer from Craig's List.

Sears ears repair has not fixed our refrigerator after 3 visits same issue.

We have a refrigerator that is at the end of the 5 year warranty plan when it suddenly stopped working.. There is 5 year warranty on the entire sealed system. We scheduled a repair and received a few boxes in the mail full of parts... When the repair man came he only blew out the lines, He did not replace any parts.. The refrigerator started doing the same thing after a little over a month.. I called sears back as the fridge was still covered under warranty and so they sent another repair guy out who again ordered the parts and they only replaced the compressor this time.. That repair only lasted one day .. I called them back and for a 3rd time now they are ordering the parts to send to my home . My refrigerator was covered under the 5 year sealed system warranty the first 2 times i called but also there is a 90 day guarantee on their repairs . My complaint is that this is now the third time we are with out a refrigerator which is ridiculous . I don't know if the repair people are just incompetent or if it is just sears trying to get us past our warranty so that they do not have to fix the refrigerator. We are now waiting a few more days to have it fixed as they can not come until monday

Sears new kitchen, countertop, backsplash

We ordered a new kitchen on jan7, 2017 work was suppose to be done by no later then march14 2017. It is now april 18 2017 and all we have is cabinets.No counter top or backsplash.Have tried to call for help many times with no results.No call backs. Then called the home office in chicago to try and get help.We have now been without a kitchen since march4th 2017.I talked with the district manager and told him i wanted retribution for the time that we have been in discord and without a kitchen in our home what a smack in the face he offered250.00 off ha! Ha!.If this i the way sears does business and treats their coustomers, then i urge you to find a private contractor.I will never deal with sears again.Look at the pics and ask yourself if you wouldlike to live like this for 5 months. If you would then call sears to do the work.

Sears craftsman garden tractor item # 07120407000p model 20407

We ordered this to replace a garden tractor under the protection agreement.
This tractor was supposed to have "turn tight and a lot of other options. The tractor we received had the model Number but no options. It mows the grass, goes forward and back and that is all. More over it ran for 15 min. and hasn't started since. They have reordered this tractor 4 times and the same stripped down model has been sent. We have talked to people all over the country and elsewhere but no one can seem to get us the correct tractor. We are in Wickenburg Arizona. We even offered to pay the difference in price between the 48 " that we want and the 54 in that has the same options. We ordered this in Glendale AZ at the Arrowhead town center Sears store. The store clerk placed the order from the Internet specks and picture I had with me. I don't know what the mix up is but please help us figure this out and get us the right tractor. Thanks you

Sears craftsman zero turn mower

This thing has been a price of # from day one! The spring tensioner for the belts keeps coming off last year one of the things the blades mount to broke off I called sears home repair and was told that there was no one in my area who worked on them! So I had to pay for another shop to fix the dam thing, well the replacement one this year is worn out the internal bearings are makeing a noise and you can't keep the dam belt on so I called sears again so now they tell me someone will come to my house and fix it this time and it would be covered under warranty why was it not covered under warmth the first time? I have had to put three springs on the belt remixer.in just two years I will never buy any majior item from sears again.

Sears very poor service

I used to buy a lot from Sears, but they have changed a lot!
My last two orders were completely messed up and every time I contacted their customer service they blamed me and said that everything was only my fault.
First order arrived wrong, second one was damaged and according to them I was the one to blame.
That is not a good way to do business and because of their terrible attitude I decided not to buy from them in the future.
There is not much left from good old Sears and that's a sad thing.

Sears garden tractor

We have had 2 Sears garden tractors in the last 5 years and the frame has broken on both of them! Every time we have to spend more money on top of what they are willing to credit us and this time we have a grass catcher that cost 400.00 that is not going to fit ANYTHING. When the first frame broke we had to spend money to replace the tractor and this time the replacement is 900.00 more and our grass catcher will not fit! We can not get anything of any quality! Fed up with this company and poor warranty service. Would love it if someone could help us with this? It is not our fault that they can not provide a quality product. Warranty means nothing.

Sears gas stove

On 3/24 I purchased a gas stove and refrigerator from the Sears Outlet in Richmond, Va. I requested delivery, installation, and removal of the old appliances. The store informed me the refrigerator could be delivered the following Monday, which it was; however their contract with the gas installer had lapsed and a new one was to be signed the same following Monday. It now turns out after multiple calls, that perhaps a contract won't be signed for possibly three months, but I could arrange installation with a contractor myself. Quite frankly, I have no desire to attempt to coordinate between the outlet, an independent contractor, and possibly additional "haul away" fees. When I contacted Sears Corporate, I was informed they consider the outlets in the same way they consider franchises and so could be of no help whatsoever and kept repeating I should call the store from which I had just hung up. (Incidentally, it normally takes over a half hour to get someone to answer at the store and the store has no voice mail.)

I consider this partly my fault for not being as cautious and precise as I normally am, but consider it, to use the vernacular, a rip off. They have my money and the stove.

Sears kenmore dehumidifier

I am in canada and I an so upset thet I can't buy a part from sears parts direct, the part is not available from sears canada but it is from sears perts direct this part is important to make my km70 dehumidifier work it cost $ 300.
We buy products from all over the world and can't buy a silly little part from the usa. Please help me to get this part it is j3150004240 pcb for 70 pint for a deshumidifier.

am in Canada and i an so upset thet i can't buy a part from sears parts direct, the part is not available from sears Canada but it is from Sears perts direct this part is important to make my KM70 dehumidifier work it cost $ 300.
We buy products from all over the world and can't buy a silly little part from the USA. Please help me to get this part it is J3150004240 pcb for 70 Pint for a dehumidifier.

Sears service received/not received

I scheduled an appointment to have my car serviced for wheel alignment, balance and rotation. I purchased the "Lifetime Wheel Alignment" last year as I have with all of by vehicles in the past. I scheduled an appointment for Thursday March 16th at pm (One pm). Upon arrival I was told that i would be completed by 2:30 pm. I sat in the waiting room and I noticed that at 2pm my car had not been looked at, moved, absolutely nothing had been done. I asked the manager and he said that "I told you it would be done at 2:30". By this time it was almost 2:20 so I knew that the services would not be completed by 2:30 and had a prior commitment that I would not get to on time due to the service not being started yet. I asked the manager for his managers phone and the manager refused to give it to me, He told me to call customer service. I called them around pm on that day and was told that a complaint had been filed and that the district manager would be contacting me within 3 business days. NO Call Back as of yet. Every time that I visited in the past, It seemed that the manager was not pleased that there would be no charges for my service. I also made an appointment so that I would be able to get in and out in a timely manner. Each Time that I schedule for my alignments, I am not treated favorably because I will not be exchanging revenue.

Sears Follow through of agreed upon appointment

I had a second service appointment scheduled today (the first one, the part sent did not fix the problem). I called Sears to let them know that my part had arrived and was told my appointment was a week later than what was scheduled
. I physically spoke with the repair man as he was rescheduling my appointment and 3/27/17 was agreed upon as I was getting ready to leave town. On my receipt, 4/3/17 was printed out even though he new I would not be here. Sneaky. So, after multiple calls to China and or Puerto Rico, I am still waiting for an answer. I was transferred multiple times to a supervisor that would go check on something and I would conveniently be disconnected.
Handy!
Tried yet again and am waiting to see if I get a phone call from a service person… Terrible service, but not their fault. The fault was the appointment not the Call Center people. They apparently do NOT have a chain of command there and cannot connect you with anyone that can help you. I even asked for the phone number if they needed to call in sick. Nope no number available.

Sears dishwasher

I will never buy another thing from sears. We purchased a dishwasher not even two years ago with a maintenance agreement. The protection agreement department is worthless. You stay on hold for 30 minutes ever time you call. They also cut you off and you have to start over. If they put in a case number wrong, they have to re-start. Worthless! I'm now calling every day until they replace this piece of garbage. We are replacing all our major and large appliances — but it won't be through sears. Guaranteed.

Sears avoid!

I simply don't recommend Sears because of their terrible and poor quality and of course because of their so called support.
If anything happens be prepared to be treated terribly by their support, these people will not help you and you will be left alone with all your problems. There is no way to return, no matter what your reason is, but these clowns simply deny all return and refund requests. My items arrived all damaged and broken due to poor packaging and no one from Sears offered me help.
I wasted a lot of time trying to get at least a discount or something, but they made fun of me and later stopped replying. Please, beware of Sears! They used to be good, but that was a long time ago. Avoid!

Sears craftsmen black steel two boots (vader)

I got a pair of craftsman work boots a couple weeks ago and I am very very disappointed with them I have them laced as tight as they can be and which is making them curl where the laces start and they are getting looser every day and there not even broke in yet I have never had this problem with any other work boot I have bought and these are the most expensive ones I have got I'm a roofer and its getting to the point that the looseness is getting dangerous !
