I am running into a wall with an issue that I have with my 2020 268cc Commander. I have been trying to resolve the issue with my local dealer located in Sea Bright NJ, but I have not been able to get a satisfying answer from them.

I purchased the vessel new from them May 2020 and within a year I notices many cracks in the gel coat at different locations on the boat. This is my second Sea Fox, my first one was a 2004 23cc that I owned up until I purchased the new 268cc. There were only a couple of small cracks in the gel coat after 16 years. I have also asked many of my friends that own a Sea Fox if they have cracks and they all said no.

I believe there is an issue with the gel coat that was used on my boat. Also, where the captain chair is bolted to the deck, there are cracks along both brackets on the deck. These cracks are my biggest concern as it looks more like a structural issue that will keep coming back because of the stress from the seat. One crack in the forward console seat wall is actually a hole that was only covered with a paper thin layer of fiberglass.

The dealer told me that the gel coat issues are out of warranty, but Sea Fox was willing to pay for half the cost of fixing. My portion of the repair is $1230.00 which I am not even sure covers all of the Gel coat cracks.

There are just too many cracks for it to not be defective. Boat is well maintained and properly stored in the winter.

I know Sea Fox makes a better product than this and I hope that we can resolve this issue.

In JAN 2009 I purchased a Sea Fox 236 Center Console at the boat show. I put down 50 % deposit and I did not receive the boat until 6 months later. When I finally received the boat and went to view it at the dealer, the cushions were different from what I saw at the boat show, much cheaper looking. I immediately called Sea Fox and they told me, " these are new cushions, old ones are out of stock" When we took the shrink wrap off of the boat, there were scratches EVERYWHERE. It appeared that the boat had been used because of the scratches on hull and console, different cushions and fish smell in the live well.

Now I find out that Sea Fox has changed the company name three times. It was first Legacy, then Sea Era, and now it's called Sea Fox. Is this to avoid warranty liability? Something is wrong here..

En la JAN 2009 compré un Zorro del Mar 236 Consola Central en la exposición del barco. Dejo 50 % el depósito y yo no recibieron el barco hasta 6 meses más tarde. Cuándo yo por último recibí el barco y fui a verlo en el comerciante, los cojines fueron diferentes de lo que vi en la exposición del barco, mirar mucho más barato. Llamé inmediatamente el Mar Zorro y ellos me dijeron, "éstos son nuevos cojines, los viejos están agotados" Cuando tomamos el encogimiento envuelve lejos del barco, había rasguños POR TODAS PARTES. Pareció que el barco había sido utilizado a causa de los rasguños en el casco y la consola, el olor diferente de cojines y pez en el vivo bien.

Ahora averiguo que Zorro de Mar ha cambiado el nombre de la compañía tres veces. Fue primero Legado, entonces Era de Mar, y ahora ha llamado el Mar Zorro. ¿Es esto evitar obligación de garantía? Algo está equivocado aquí..

My sea fox needs warranty repairs. Sea fox tells me that because of the, "limited lifetime warranty" that the hull splitting is not covered, I have no warranty - my problem. I was told over the phone after numerous phone calls to, "bring the boat to south carolina and we will take a look at it."

I spent $ 50, 000 & I am receiving no warranty?!?!
Stay away from this company!

I bought a new SeaFox 2009, 256 Center Console and the first four months using the boat everything was fine. After taking the boat to the dealer three times for many stress cracks, they took the boat back to the factory to replace the hull because my hull was splitting, it took 8 months to get the boat finally back, and the boat came back a mess! Stay away from this company!
