Screentomeet.com / Tricks you into giving credit card

1 United States Review updated:
Contact information:

This is an elaborate scam. At least 2 fake websites are exposed here. If you visit screentomeet.com and cvsod. Org (The "stamp of approval" on screentomeet) you'll notice that neither of the two websites include any links whatsoever such as "contact the webmaster" "about" or any such thing.

Beware.

    Heyy Hun,
I'm glad you replied to my ad on CL :) Let me be honest with you...I'm looking for friends with benefits, and really want to make this fun for the both of us. If we make it more than that one day, than great, but I just want to have a good time together ;). You can see my pics at the guarddate site below, check them out and let me know what you think :). Anyways, like I said I really just wanna hookup for a good time. Honeslty, I've tried this once before..but it didn't go so well. The guy started stalking me and calling me all day... So now I'm willing to try this again, but I need to make sure you're safe and real before we do anything together. If you're still interested, then let's have some fun together ;). I can't wait to meet up. I'm happy to do anything with you as long as it's fun for us. Just one thing I ask tho, you need to be able to last. Well actually maybe I can teach you a thing or two ;)

If you want to hookup still, I ask you to go to www.guarddate.com and complete the date check. And no this is not some site that asks for your credit card, or any personal information actually. Anyways, yea when you finish the verification there, you will be forwarded my profile. Call my cell number on there and let's get together tonight!

Can't wait to hear from you,

    Jen

Went to their basic web site, no working links, fake
fill out their form with phone number, hit summit and automated phone call, calls you back with a conformation number. You type it in and I guess that helps them know your number is real. The web site response saying you’ll get a e-mail. Nothing else is received????

Hope nothing else happens or I’m screwed.

Similiarly, Craigslistsafe and Safest Surfers are fake too. If you actually skim over the "Terms and Conditions" of these sites, you'll notice that in one day, they will charge you $40 dollars using a couple of porn sites. Adds up quick! They're getting good at scamming people, protect your CC# and don't give it out.

Craigslistsafe is linked with clsafetynet.com and is also clearly a scam...interesting tactics they use, but if you actually look at the site, all of their "authentication" actually has nothing to do with them...the news video is just a video about the CL killer, and though they say "featured on msnbc, cbs etc" there is not one video of that...which you would think they would want to promote and show if it were true, seeing as how that would somewhat validate the site...THEN if you look at all of their "how we protect you section"
    - they don't issue credit cards to minors (and somehow if they are of age means you are safer meeting with this person)
-they cross reference you with sex offenders listed on police records (and somehow a photo ID is not sufficient...not to mention those records are public anyway)
    here's were they get bad
-after the CL killer they gained recognition from the media...(but um, where is it?)
-it only takes 20 seconds (just what I want someone to say to me when they ask for my CC#..."come on, it'll only take 20 sec...idiots)
    -we won't charge your card...really?

all this together means, NOT LEGIT
