We are a company that had the misfortune of trying to work with Scienceuticals. Don Hayden smooth talked us for several weeks after our rep was let go and our project completely ground to halt. Our project is completely off-track and we wasted several months. We've invested several thousands of dollars only to find out that the so most of the called "chemists" employed by Scienceuticals have no credentials, and they cannot make a product stay stable. All of the lab staff that we began working with are no longer with the company either. We also investigated the company only to find that they are not licensed to do business in SC. We also found that Scienceuticals is involved in many lawsuits probably more "satisfied" customers. Do not under any circumstances engage in business with this company you will waste a couple of things; your money and time.

I am begging anybody to reconsider before they go to this company. This company single handedly destroyed my products making it 100% worthy of suing, but I do not have the time to stand in line! I'm giving this warning because I care for the next victim and am so concerned for anyone who goes there.

Don you still owe me $5000 for the website i built you and you bailed on about 5 years ago. I spent my entire vacation working on your deadline, only to be completely ignored when it came to being paid. You mysteriously disappeared and started Sciencuticals. That is a fact, and I don't have to post Anonymously. Thanks, Mark

My name is Donald Hayden, president and founder of Scienceuticals, and I am writing to address the alleged complaints listed on this board. For over a year I have elected to ignore them, mostly because I never gave them credence due to their lack of transparency and moreover, did not want to dignify the claims. But now the time has come to address them, since people clearly think they can anonymously post fictitious and libelous slander without recourse.
First and formost, we are NOT being investigated by ANY governing organization. This includes IRS, FDA, EPA or any of the others listed on this site. There has been no fraud or misleading of customers or of their products, nor are we a defendant in ANY litigation.
That being said, I will attempt to address the comments in general, as opposed to each one specifically, as they all seem to stem from the same thread of thought. The themes are of lawsuits, fraud, theft, bad product or bad service. While, we have never claimed to be a perfect, our goal has always been is to provide excellent products and service to our customers. Our current clients will attest to our desire and willingness to go above and beyond the call of duty to accomplish this goal. However, I am sure there may have been unhappy customers, just like in any business, but nothing to the extent described here, and nothing we would not go out of our way to correct.
The anonymity of these posting is problematic. Most of these ‘customers’ claim to exist in places where we do not, and have not, done business. There are alleged customers from Sussex, England, Provo UT, X, NC, Columbia, SC, El Cerrito, CA, Las Vegas, NV, Kentucky and even Guatemala! We do not, and never have had customers is these locales. While they claim to have been treated badly, our company has had no contact or record of contact with any of them.
This can only lead me to the conclusion that they are posted strictly to bash our name and harm our reputation. If any one of these ‘customers’ posts their name and contact information, I will gladly contact them to discuss their issue, or they may contact me on my direct line at843-486-1002 ext 112.
I truly believe that these postings are by former disgruntled employees.. Over the past 5 years we have experienced explosive growth and, like many companies, we have felt growing pains. It is unfortunate that during this period we had high turnover as we refined the business model and searched for the ideal team. Now these former employees are trying to exact some revenge for being let go.
Clearly, we would not be in business for 5 years had there been any truth to these claims. I am proud of the business I have built and how we treat our customers, and employees, as well as how we conduct ourselves in the business community. We have created many award winning and highly successful products for our clients and will continue to do so.
I encourage people to view credible, authored, third party information on the web like our Silver Crest Award for manufacturing in SC or The Small Business Commerce Association (SBCA) announcement that Scienceuticals, Inc. has been selected for the 2009 Best of Business Award in the Cosmetic preparations category. In these cases, there are legitimate names and sources behind the references.

I am not surprised. Anyone who is skeptical about these complaints please visit dorchestercounty.net. Then click on departments, then click clerk of court, click accept and then pending cases search at the top left of the page. Type in either Scienceutcals or Don Hayden and you will see that a freight company and two ingredient suppliers are suing him and his company for non payment. And I'm sure there are more in the works. He owes so much money I don't know how he is keeping his doors open. There are several lawsuits against Don Hayden/Scienceuticals from ex-employees which are very valid, I hope those ladies win. He should not get away with all the lies. He is a con man.

I tend to agree with bAware4U.

I decided against a business relationship with this company primarily based on the preponderance of complaints found on this site and others. Our rep Tom seemed very well informed and professional, but we didn't get past the very initial stages of a relationship. Mr. Hayden told us these complaints were posted by one or two disgruntled employees, which I found out not to be correct. Our samples were delivered on time, but we couldn't get past all the negative comments to the point where we felt comfortable.

I did visit their facility and found it to be quite small and the fill lines were idle. Maybe it was just a down time.

Whether or not the complaints are coming from employees or customers, there are too many to not pay attention to them. How many account reps did you go through during the processing of your product? The fact remains that Don and his company are being investigated by the FDA, the SC Employment Commission, and DHEC. If you Google this company, yoiu will be surprised at what shows up. I have never heard of a solid company that can't keep an employee longer than a few months. He's got lawsuits filed against him from past employees and clients. These are all a matter of public record. I'm glad that your product came out OK SkinCareGuru, but I would not recommend anyone investing their time or money with this company. There are many other companies out there that have excellent reputations. I agree with ConcernedCitizen.

To you SkinCareGuru, glad to hear your products were done properly and on time. But lets not be stupid. All the complaints here and on other sites whether by ex-employees or customers of Scienceuticals are valid. Why have so many customers had more than 5 account representatives in the making of their products? Could it be that they have morals and don't like telling lies to their customers just to make a buck like Don Hayden does. Of course a lot of information comes from a source within the company. That's what makes it true. Anyone trying to inform the public and warn people is appreciated. They may still work their and do their best not to be ### like Don Hayden, but hey, times are hard and jobs are harder to come by. Let's be real. If you are so confident in your products produced by Scienceuticals, then post the name of your company and the products so everyone can try them. Or is SkinCareGuru actually Don Hayden just trying to make himself look good.

We also worked wit Scienceuticals but our experience was quite the opposite. Don quoted a timeline which we first thought was too long, but in hindsight they did meet all the goals. We received samples and they were diligent in responding to our concerns. The final product was acceptable and on time.
Seems to me all these comments have a great deal of information that would not be available to anyone unless they were on the inside. That just screams disgruntled employee to me.
