I get 3-6 offers per week to perform 'mystery shops'. they send me money orders, traveler's checks, certified checks, which I am suspposed to deposit in my account, deduct a few hundred for myself and send the balance by western union (always western union!) to someone.
I do apply for the job, I do receive the fed ex, priority mail, or usp package and there it ends. I have cost them real money and time that they could have used to scam someone else. ha! I have close to $80, 000 in fake money and dozens of envelopes from scammers.
The police, fbi, cia, postal inspectors, no one cares enough to even answer my emails. my former bank, the chase cared enough to close my account when I did send a check in for collection, but that's all they did, they made no attempt to track down the real criminals.

I also got a mail from grace browning as a response of my advert in gumtree. I got suspicious even after she sent me her passport and property documents (I still can't believe she deceived me), when she was getting desperate for money. I asked for her fb/linkedin profile but couldn't find her internet presence. I fortunately got here and was saved from getting scammed, as I was going to transfer the money tomorrow. thank you. be careful

FML my email has been bombarded with emails as i put an ad up on share accomodation. Ive had 3 emails so far that sound a bit fishy.One from Grace Zoe browning and the other from another grace. And Jean Boutier. I noticed the same email was used twice. To think there are people out there conning people like this when i just need a room or place to stay. Most genuine listings reply from the site. The others reply to my email. So at times I dont even know what house they are referring to. Or ask where there listing is on the website. Then i ask if they have a facebook account to see if they are a real person. Everytime i think something doesnt right i google the persons name to see if they come up or if they are real. This generally gives some indication if ive been scammed. Be careful people and a good guide is to follow your instincts. As the person who has been contacting me is the same person.
