The customer service has been very harsh and has not been helpful. They are rude and often end up giving wrong information to the clients. For eg. I dropped a cheque in one of their ATM in Bangalore and the amount was not deducted from the statement. When I checked with the customer service they told me that they don't pick up the cheques from the ATM. Immediately I issued a fresh cheque and made the payment but my previous cheque which the bank promised me that wont be picked up was also used. And when I call the bank they say that they cant help it. There were several other incidents like this.

i did not get card and application number
when i contacted sb card office in ernamkulam and thier agent m/s shilpa .they replied me the card is under processing.
the processing is not completed upto now.

I received sbi credit card but soon after the receipt i am receiving phone calls from sbi credit regarding the outstanding payment towards me. On my query the calling official informed me that the amount is against the payment of the draft of Rs.20000.00 send by sbi credits to me, I was surprised on the query because I never received any draft of such amount, so when I told the fact to the officials every time they called me thy always informed me to register the complaint to the helpline number. Even after my complaint and the intimation from the helpline number that my complaint has been forwarded to the concerned cell I again received the bill by post for the payment of the outstanding against the draft amount which I never received. Now I am frustrated and I am unable to understand that how sbi credits can ask anyone for such fake payments.

I am a SBI Credit Card customer & have been paying regularly too but since last more than 1 year's period I haven't received my card bill & no body from SBI was bothered to send me the bill or called me to check wether I have received the bill or not.

Suddenly after such a long period of time one person who told his name is Rajesh Ranga & he is a lawywer, called at my residence land line no. in the starting of this month, saying that I have a big amount of Rs.26000.00 overdue against SBI Card & if I dont pay that amount at once then he is going to get a non bailable warrant against me.

At this I asked him to provide me either statement of charges or invoice so that I can know the break up of the amount he is asking me to deposit. I also gave him my mobile no. for all further communications as I am out of home most of the time.

After half an hour he again called me on my mobile & told me that he is going to get me a special discount & now I have to pay Rs 18000.00 but I need to pay it at once only & he again didn't provide the statement.

I again asked him that pls provide me the statement & then only I can pay the o/s amount.

At this these people started calling me at my mobile no. as well as on my residence land line no. in every 1 or 2 minutes for several days & also abused every one who picks up the phone at my home.

Today due to this harassment & mental pressure to every body at home I have paid them Rs.18000.00 without still having the statement of charges levied, they only sent me a letter stating the amount due.

I would request you to pls put this matter forward & get me the justice.

I was issued a primary SBI card No.4317575164081318with expiry date 11/2006 I have not signed on the card and it was never used by me. Another card No.[protected] was issued to me without my request and without using the card I returned it in pieces on 17/10/2007 by registered post (Receipt no. RLA 2394 Karakulam 695564). Hence I am not liable to pay any amount to SBI.

Several demand notices were sent to me Finally they said the matter could be settled if I pay Rs 300/ They sent a person to my house and I paid Rs 300/ (receipt No 9704658). They have not settled the matter yet and in the latest notice they have demanded a sum of Rs 14000/. Several threatening calls are also coming from Chennai. I request you to direct the SBI authorities to settle the matter based on Rs 300/ which I remitted as per their earlier demand.

I am a BP patient with high cholesterol The frequent calls and filthy words in Malayalam over the phone by the SBI personnel from the number [protected] caused me great mental stress and strain. So I request you to direct the SBI authorities to give me a compensation of Rs 25000/.

I am holding a Credit Card with a limit of Rs 118000 for more than a year than one fine day I recieved a call from one of SBI executive who proposed thatI have been selected for the upgradation of my gold card to Platinum card & as one of the benefits he told that my credit limit will be enhanced by 40 % for which I need to give acall to customer care & then n there my limit will be enhanced because of which I gave my acceptance for the offer over the phone. This entire conversation was recorded for future references (as claimed by the executive).

But when I called the customer care after recieving the platinum card they told me that my limit can not be enhanced & according to the executive Rs 118000 is my enhanced limit enjoyed by me.

This is complaint against sbi credit cards where they have not been sending statements for last five months, wherein i made payment of Rs 7000/ in feb 2007 on this card against my purchases since then there has been no purchases on this card. At that time there was an outstanding as late fee being charged of Rs 500/ which they have hiked it up to a total of Rs 4000/ in past four- five months and that two with no statement being sent to me for above mentioned period.And not to forget that there harassment calls do not stop in the mean time in the meanwhile i have been explaining the complete story to every executive who calls me with no followup at all from the bank, each and every time some new exec calls & after listening to my version never gets back again.

I get a mediclaim policy, through sbi card tied with Royal Sundram. First year i paid for this 4071 + service tax and same amount paid for 2nd year renewal. Now 3rd year sbi card Charged medisafe admin fee Rs. 841.80 which is wrong charges. This Admin Fee not charged for Previous Years.

Two times my cheque misplace by bank and charged late fee which is very high. I'm frustrated for this. And want cancel my card. Every time Call center people are not cooperate with us.

I suggest those people who want a Cr.Card. Don't go for sbi Card. They are looting the people.

I have a SBI CREDIT CARD. I don't receive the Monthly Statements. After repeated reminders one statement was handed over to me by their local agent which shows strange entries such as Insurance charges, Late fees, Over limit charges, cheque collection charges, inflated interests, other admn. charges etc. Surprised I contacted one Mr. Sudershan in the Company's Customer Care Dept. He accepted the wrong entries and settled the dues at Rs.870/ as full & final settlement and promised to send me a Zero Balance Statement. I paid the amount promptly. But the Statement as promised never reached me. Further, I am receiving disturbing, arrogant, unhealthy telephonic calls from their Collection dept. at Delhi to pay further amounts. What should I do. Please advise if anybody can.

it was told to me by the SBI cards that there collection boxes are not working since i had a concern that i made the payment and it was not getting through on time. on this they told me that there collector will collect the same as drop box service of theres is not working properly since then i have made many payments and moreover they are unable to provide me any monthly statement and i ahve to proactively ask for it everytime not even there online statement reach without a followup from my side. recently i amde them a cash payemt of rs 5000 and unfortunately i am not finding my reciept and now i am recieving calls from the bank that they need the reciept number as the payment is not being reflected and may be the guy cam was not authentic. not only this when they said that they are sending there collector they never told that this servie will be charged and for every collection they were chargin me 64 rs which came into my notice very late as i was not recieving any statements. these charges were latter reversed.
i advise all the users of this forum to close your SBI card as there working is a total mess

There was a wrong transaction shown in my statement for the month March-2007. I have been following up with the customer care since then till date and also sent the duly filled forms required for settling the issue but there has been no action taken from the SBI credit card until date and now the credit card division employees are harassing me to pay the unsettled amount. I am really stressed from the situation and I want to know if there is anybody who can be helpful to me in such a situation.

I and my friend both have SBI Credit Cards. Normally my friend gives me money and I used to give him a my bank cheque for his credit card payment. Last month in the same way I gave him a cheque of Rs 3000/- against his credit card number, surprisingly the amount was credited into my SBI Credit card. I have all the proofs that the cheque was issued to his credit card number. When I call the customer care they are speaking very rudely and just simply saying that it is not possible. And on the other hand they are going on imposing fines in his credit card and not giving any solutions to the issue.

Dear Sir,

I have a credit Card of State Bank of India.In statement for the month of Jan'8 and feb'8, I found that my cheque of SBBJ Mertacity was rejected on account of non Micr cheque.Where as I have issued cheque with consultation of Bank authorities with the remark that SBBJ Mertacity is connected electronically with state Bank of India and this cheque(RS 656.00) amount shall be transfferedto SBI Card account(xxxxxxxxxxx3067)in the name of MC HARSH.Statement has shown penalty as well as annual card fee also which was agred by SBI CARD management not pay in fututre and I continue the card.Kindly direct SBI CREDIT CARD manegement either pay back me all false charges of Jan'8 and Feb'08 billing or otherwise cancel my cedit Card.I am a honest payer of regular credits but SBI CARD is not maintaining creditibility.

Myself Krishan Kumar is one of the mentally harassed credit card holder's of SBI. I have been holding this card for around 6 months and this period of 6 months have been a torture for me. I have never ever used this card since i have been applied for the same just because of the negative feedback which i got from my friends. At the time of applying i have denied for all the extra facilities like insurance, easy bill etc...

Now i have been receiving continuous legal notices from the SBI department stating that Rs. 7733 is due upon me. They even call me up offering me a waver of around Rs. 3000. Now they are asking for Rs. 4000/- in order to settle this dispute. All these has harassed me a lot and is fed up of all this. The Ref. no. of the legal notice which i received is : QL/150/APR/07/2148. When asked they don't even have the details of why this much amount has been charged towards my credit card.

Being one of the largest banks in the work they are offering such a below standard service to their customers and threatening their customers of submitting a particular amount in order to settle it. But they question is "Why...?". Everyone earns their money by shear hard work and no one will pay a single penny for free.

Important Note: "Never ever in your life apply for a SBI credit card, no matter what all facilities they are providing".

I have a card from SBI I received this in the month of Feb about 13th, from that day I haven't received and conversion from State Bank only people phone to me Sir they are the pending in your accounts please play 180 Rs, pay 800 Rs just on calls but no statement I have complaint many times to toll free numbers they only say Sir there are some problem so we cant deliver the statement to you but tomorrow or day after you will get it surely... But till day I haven't received any statement I just wanna ask you the simple question if you collection guy come to ask the payment then why not statement come through by them or courier.

Even till date I haven't received the pin numbers also, last time a gentle man have phoned me up and he promised me that he will send me the statement on 20th of april you just deposit the Rs. 800.00 to the drop box or i will send my collection guy, then next day he sent the collection guy I have paid him 4000.0o cheque instead of 800.00 because I know I have to pay the levies but why I am not getting any statement from the bank.

If there is any problem why should the people from bank bringing in my knowledge. Stay away from SBI!

I am a credit card holder of your bank. Ever since i have got this card not even single statement is received by me. This is a very incompetent service provided by you. I received a recorded message saying my payment is due but did not conveyed how much and for what. My credit card no is [protected]. This is with reference to State Bank of India Credit card.card no. [protected]. Without my authorization they have paid to Sundaram finance for a health insurance policy an amount of rs.1827/- and soon as the policy was issued i refused it because i didn't want it. Sundaram Finance said that they would pay back it to SBI credit cards. But the amount credited was 1553/- on 20 march 2007.

Since from the day I got card i didn't use it for any transaction. They have added default fees every month and say i have to pay rs.2473/-. How can I deal with this problem?

I have not authorized anybody to issue a policy.

regarding case id=[protected] in which i had never asked for any loan, but they send me the dd for rs 47000/- which was returned on the same day but they are charging me interest and panel ties for the loan which ihave never asked and availed. Their recovery dept is mentally harnessing and continuously threatening me. Kindly look into the matter at the earliest and oblige.

I got a call from ceo desk and saying my card as been declain due to my financial status but the executive don't know what all document I have submitted later i confirm that I have fixed deposited 20, 000 rs for sbi cc
Pan card, address proof (passport)
Two passport size photo's.

As executive confirmed tat of 5 days and same I'll receive sms confirmation but I have not received any sms confirmation nor address verification yet.

So please process my card asps or refund my fixed deposit back so that I can go for any other bank because of sbi cc I deposited that amount.

I never expected this kind bad services from you, before applying card executive said complete process will be done withing 10days now no proper resolution till date.

SBI & Spice jet Co-branded Credit Card- GOOF UP by service provider resulting in DECLINE to accept the card by the PROSPECT- FEEDBACK…..
Sometime back I received a call from someone. The caller announced that I am lucky to have been picked up for Credit Card on the basis of my spending. This is unbelievable as I don’t have SBI card, neither my travel by spice jet is substantial. At my instance the caller identified himself as Kiron calling from Bangalore. He briefed me on the vouchers that I will be entitled to get if I get the card.He followed up the call few more times as I was busy whenever he called me. Finally y'day 29th Aug I decided to take card to possess a fourth card. This morning he called me up once again to check what time he should send the person to my office. The conversation picked up and was first time getting into details of the credit card. I will HIGH LIGHT the issue consequent upon which I have declined to accept the card after taking a decision to take the card.
1, He said ref of Amex card is not acceptable to SBI. I asked him why? Amex card is not in India. Who said this? I asked.No answer.
2.Rs 480/- will be charged on my first bill. I asked him why? No proper answer. He said the first year rent. Till this stage I was given to understand in various phone calls received that they are no charges involved as the offer is by Invitation.
3. He asked me do you have electricity bill. I asked what is the purpose? Then he said address proof. I told him that he should have asked that he requires a document for address proof. Reply from Sorry Sir. I asked him can you accept my DL as address proof. He said yes.
4. Who would come to pick up my documents and does he have a proper identification? Someone from MOFAI. I said how MOFAI is involved. He said, I am calling from SBI Bangalore. I asked are on SBI Rolls? NO. Then what is your Identity? He said I from CERCO BPO. SBI outsourced the work from a BPO.
Ultimately the caller was not able install Trust and confidence in me to hand over my credentials, although a Xerox copy to any person deputed for this purpose. What are your initials Kiron I asked? He said why do you need it? I said without knowing the person and identify I cannot handover xerox copy of my credentials. I also told, "I am not bothered if I don’t get the card. If you fail to build up confidence in me you will not get my application. Please do not send any one to collect the documents. I am declining to accept the Invitation."
What is your designation? I asked him. Team Leader. I told him, my dear friend you are setting a bad example to your team on CUSTOMER ENGAGEMENT.
I asked him who is the person responsible in SBI. He Said, we report to Vikram in Delhi. He is VP.
This is a classic case study on reasons why a prospect declines the invitation after he has decided and about to sign the document.
NO ONE WOULD LIKE TO ENTERTAIN A PERSON AND HAND OVER XEROX COPY OF THE BONAFIED DOCUMENTS WITH OUT FULLY CONVINCING ABOUT THE BONAFIDES OF THE PERSON.

lost my EZ PAY CARD

i have been cheated by sbi cards dept promising to take action within week but 2 months passed there is no response from them, i was forced to take loan of 78000/ intype of phoning daily 2 to 3 times a day, after taking loan iwas forced to close bcoz, once i paid 50/rupee less then thier recovery dept would harress me daily phoning 2, 3, times aday.I closed d loan a/c paying all preclosure charges as told me by customer care officials within due date.I was shocked to see next months statment 1800/ amt extra they have charged for loan amt penalty+ interest of loan amt, i have asked for a report of statment but till now they have not send me any statment it is back on feb month, i called on helpline several times but no response only promising we look into d matter, i have mailed 2, 3 times promising to get in touch in 48hrs but no response, now ihave paid all d dues fearing for interest charges and told to close the a/c, iwant u help me get my 1800/ back.

just complain in indian consumer court..u should have relevant docs for proof...

I once applied for an SBI Card due to sympathy i felt on a poor boy who cried in front of me saying his job depends on the number of sale. After this i never had any contact from SBI Credit Card Team. One fine morning after 6 months i got a call on my mobile saying i had a total of 3500 rs pending for payment which is for the interest on card. I said i dont have a card like that. Finally a senior person from the department said that he will avail me a new card but only after paying the sum of 3.5k which i am supposed to clear before requesting a new card. Expecting him to help me on this and thinking that SBI credit card is most useful in booking Indian Railway tickets and many other places, i payed the sum. I never got the card, and then on i started getting a statement which i could never open also as it has the password which is the card number and the card i have not received, so the tragedy. I wrote almost 17 emails to people in their department at different levels, and many promised me that this card will be cancelled as the card, though it shows pending payments, it doesnt show any amound withdrawn through swiping. I am fed up of this nasty money making business by SBI Credit Card team, as i am still getting statements, password protected and myself writing emails to them asking for help on something which i have never availed or seen. They turn to be blind and deaf to all my requests till date. My country, though i am proud about, has a very bad governance and system in place which allows such leaches to grow with might and poor and helpless gets drowned in their swamp where these organizations and money lenders keep drinking the blood without any botheration. Hope someone listens to this in my country.

Cuttack, Orissa. Dated : 10/05/2010 I settlement my account for Rs. 16110/- (Rupees Sixteen Thousand One Hundred Ten Only). The aforesaid offer is subject to realization of payment in 4 equal installments as agreed by me in following.

Now please help me to clear my civil report and isue my N.O.C. and without any fult due to sbi card negligence my home loan was cancelled and i face several problems for it.

My name is Kulwant Singh
My SBI card number is [protected]

I was offered a Loan of Rs. 20, 000 by SBI Card which I accepted.
I withdrew Cash amounting to Rs 5, 000 from the ATM.
I purchased a Web site from GoDaddy.com for Rs. 500 approx() usind SBI Card.

I have Repayed every paisa of the Principal & Interest & Taxes on the amounts stated Above.

I repayed the Last instalment amounting to Rs 1100. After which I received a statement showing an amount of Rs. 480 plus outstanding in my account. This included outstanding balance of Rs 80(approx) and a Penalty of Rs 350 for late payment. And the Statement showed my account as BLOCKED.

I called the customer care and protested the penalty of Rs 350 on an outstanding balance of just Rs. 80 and expressed my desire to close my account with immediate effect.

The customer care executive very politely told me that the Penalty can be waived off but I will have to deposit the Balance Outstanding + Govt Taxes and as far as closing of the account is concerned, your account is already closed and you can dispose off the Credit Card by cutting in diogonally into 4 pieces.

I followed his advice and deposited Rs 150 in the SBI account( for good riddance).

Since then SBI card is charging me Rs. 350 each month as late payment penalty.
They are now demanding Rs 5000 plus as outstanding balance in my account.

During the period once I was offered a Settlement for Rs 740. I accepted the offer but no one showed up to collect the amount. Later I was told that the offer was a mistake and we do not settle for anything less that Rs. 1000.

Now I am receiving around 10 MISSED CALLS EACH DAY from SBI Card.

I am receiving THREATENING MESSAGES stating that SBI card will start Calling my friends and relatives for the recovery of the dues.

I am willing to pay every paisa of Principal, Interest or Govt taxes outstanding in my account. As far as penalty is concerned.. I am readly to face any legal action and I shall pay penalty only if determined payable by a “Court ”

Why does’nt SBI card take me to court if it thinks the amount they claim from me is justified?
