The customer service has been very harsh and has not been helpful. They are rude and often end up giving wrong information to the clients. For eg. I dropped a cheque in one of their ATM in Bangalore and the amount was not deducted from the statement. When I checked with the customer service they told me that they don't pick up the cheques from the ATM. Immediately I issued a fresh cheque and made the payment but my previous cheque which the bank promised me that wont be picked up was also used. And when I call the bank they say that they cant help it. There were several other incidents like this.

I am using SBI credit card since 2005. My card got lapsed on may 2007 itself but still i am receiving messages from sbi people stating that i still have due amount to b paid. I don't undesrtand why they keep sending messages very often, so i request you to send a detailed statement of account from 06 july 2005 to 05/2007.Its very urgent . i tottaly agree, not only you there are innumerable victims.sbi is a reputed bank but some one an outsourced nbfc hiding behind the logo of it does all these unethical uncivilsed acts and harressing and torturing innumerable customers. nouse of going to consumer fora.their actions attract several sections of criminal law.consult a tort law advocate and file a case.be careful in choosing of an advocate of standing otherwise sbi credit card may buy him for your disadvntage.a sundararajan

on 5/07/08 at 2.. P.M. Bu t at the day end of 07/07/08 you collection agents not came for collection, every time late fee

I undersigned was sent A DD Rs 1Lac 26 thousand as a loan, without my consent, on my office address, on 19/11/2007, & On 20/11/2008, I deposited the said DD at HDFC bank Vashi. Before your DD ‘s amount get credited in my account I dropped the said amount, cheque no 488514 of SBI Nagothane branch in the cheque collection box at Naothane, on 27/11/2007
1.It was miss placed, & I had to applied for the stopped payment for the said cheque….. no 488514 of SBI Nagothane at nagothane.
Then Again I issued one more cheuque no 488518 of Rs 1, 26, 000 of sbi branch Nagothane, but it was decline from your office, with remark that, it is local branch, s checque, [Mr Mohan collected the said cheque]., Whereas, for any transaction I was using the same, cheque book, & in the past dealing, there was no problem at all, It was very easy going,
Then I paid the total your loan amount Rs.97000+ Rs38000 thru HDFC bank with Rs5000 more [as a interest component], that also because of your mistake.
At the moment I had stop using your card, look into the matter, I think nothing is pending against me. I had face a lot of problem because of the said incidence, If u don’t want to lose your sincere customer pl. close the matter earlist, so I can continue your card.
I had sent many mail, but people even doest have time to reply the mail,

I have droped cheque for the amount mentioned in statement at the drop box in SBI TAMBARAM CHENNAI 600 045 branch, after five days I received a phone call fromthe collection centre to pay for payment due.When I enquired, Issued cheque is not sent for clearance & where about is not yet known. In this connection when I have contacted sevaral times to costamer care centre, nobody responding properly.Mean while I have issued fresh cheque & given stop payment for old cheque.

VERY POOR CUSTOMER CARE SERVICE .
PLEASE CHANGE THE WORDS SBI MAKES LIFE DIFFICULT.
I HAD APPLIED FOR THE CREDIT CARD.
I MONTH AFTER WHEN I GAVE A CALL TO CUSTOMER CARE
COOLY SAY YOUR APPLICATRION NOT PROCESSED WITH OUT ANY VALID REASONS

Dear Sir,

My credit Card No. is [protected]. I have sent two complaints to SBI banks through Register AD. First is on 12.09.2007 & another is 13.10.2007. Most of the times, I have received statements after due date, with huge penalty, intrest & unaffordable other charges. I have very clearly mentioned in my both the letters that I am not going to pay this amount. But till date there is no written communication from Bank. On the contrary every month bank is sending Bills with Penalty and intrest. Without any purchase my bill amount in the month Sept. 07 was Rs. 659.18 and in this month i.e. June 2008, I have received bill of Rs. 3250/-. If SBI really wants to settle this type of issues, SBI has to change their attitude, try to understand your customers.

Once again, I would request you to settle this matter in proper way.

I used your SBI credit card in May 2008 & do shopping for Rs.17500/- but I shocked to see your bill amount because i had fully paid last bill amount. Please reverse extra amount otherwise i will not pay.

we have been receiveing call for some mrs pramela shirsat for last 3 to 4 months from people from sbi cards to clear the bill. we have been narating them regularly that this no does not belong to above stated person but they dont take any notice of it, instead they continue to call us and some times its very iritating kindly inform us will there be any person in the company whom should we complaint and if possible please provide us his nos.

i have been using bobcard for the last twenty years.i have no problem with it.i took sbicardrecently with great hope that it is prestigious to possess it and start using it
without asking they called me to providsixteen thound rupees cash in the form of dd which they never sent.after seven monthsi left india. i paid the bills before going to us leaving onlyseventy rupees. by the time i return i found to my surprise that seventy rupees grew to three thoundplus with fines chargesetc how great this sbi is known from its deedsthey carge from the day we use the card not after the due date.it is cabuliwala reminder.

I was contacted by one of the representative s of SBI card saying that free gold card are given to the residents of my apartment at IP Extension area. I had given all the necessary papers. But to my surprise I was given silver card after unduly long time and I have not used it yet and I want to return this card. Please advise me.

i am using sbi credit card since last two years .my card limit is 20000/-.i asked how can i increase my credit card limt.?answer from customer care was no.i asked why or what is the reason not to increase my credit limit.but no explanation was given. i am very regular customer and also i am holding hdfc gold credit card of credit limit 55000/-.pl do the needful and oblige.

on 02-08-2006, settled all my balance and surrendered the sbi credit card.
But i have received monthly statement of account from you on 28-04-2008.
So i request you to take necessary steps to stop sending monthly statement in future.

Sir/Madam,

I am a credit card holder of your SBI. I have applied for the credit card and was issued the same in the month of December2007.
Later on 31st Jan 2008, i recieve an SMS saying that my application for the card is in progress and i will recieve it soon.
Just to confirm wether my card is working or not, i made a purchase. The first time it was swiped, it worked. Later it did not work at all.
The next month, when i was supposed to recieve my statement( which i didnt) made me to call up the customer care. The customer care executive informed me that there was no purchase made because my card was not activated and if at all i made a purchase, it will reflect in my next bill. The executive informed me that i need not pay any amount for that month.
The next three months, i did not recieve any statement or SMS or E-mail.
Just to inform you, i did not recieve my ATM pin too.
After almost three months after i made the purchase, i start getting calls from the collection center at Chennai saying that i havent made any payment for the last three months.
The total amount has almost doubled. Inspite of me telling that i need my statement, i keep getting calls from them . They start calling me in the morning 8AM and stop only at 6PM. almost 20 to 30 times a day. One day when my wife answered the call, they started using abusive words to her. When i informed the same to the Customer careexecutive, he told that the collection center person is doing his job.
After just five days of calling, they end up calling my office number and my extension which i share with my HR. The collection agent started using abusive words and started shouting at every person who answered the call.
As a last resort i called the customer care guys again to inform him of the abusive way SBI has taken up against me. But even he gives a reckless answer. when i asked him that my card is not activated at all, he informs that they have deactivated as a precautionary measure. This doesent make any sence. The card was not activatedfrom day 1.
Now, my job is at stake and it is SBI and its customer care and the collection center to be blamed.
Is this the way a customer is treated at SBI?
Who is going to give me my job back if i loose it?
I am writing to you in hope that you will make sure that this will not repeate with other customers like me.
If i am not recieving any responce from you or SBI, i will assume that my relationship with SBI has come to an end.

I’ve applied for a SBI Credit Card, but till date I didn’t received it, however today I’ve got a statement for the Credit Card mentioning that I’ve an outstanding balance on my card of Rs. 10, 058.20. Previously I’ve also received two envelopes for Balance Transfer Request, for which I’ve never applied. This is something very disgusting. How can anyone trust your bank, if you were doing like this. Sending fake bills and inappropriate letters.
Pls help me out and cancel this Balance Transfer request, which I’ve never made out. Your customer service is so worst and dumb, that they don’t know anything about their own products. Now I am realizing that I’ve made the blunder by applying for a SBI Credit Card.

Hi I had made a credit card 4 years back. The SBI card was Free of cost. I never used that card since I am Holding ICICI Bank Cr card and very comfortable and satisfied with its services from last 5 years.

I kept that SBI card but never used it.
Finally I called up the customer Care and cancelled it a year ago.

I dont understand that why i am receiving the credit card stm unnecessarly. I dont open that stm since i donot know the process to open it. It states that You need to enter the primary card no. But even after entering primary card no. the stm doesnot opens.

Are these people in SBI cards fool.. They have such a pathetic service. Had I know this I could have never applied for the credit card.

I donot have the customer care number I forgot. Please anyone who read it can give me the present Customer care number.

Hi,
This is pramod, had a very bad experience about SBI credit card. I made sure that i make the payments, and not to come in the list of defaulters, but SBI credit card division was much aggresive than me and they coudnot allow me to succeed in my efforts.
I dont know how my outstanding balance kept on growing. finaly i stoped paying my bill. In any case i do not want to use SBI card now. Infact i do not want to use any credit card now.

Can soomeon mail how to compalint about it, other wise this compalint shall be lounched to consumer care division of National congress party.

The SBI Cards people are cheater of India. They are blood sucking people. They are not uptodate. They are wild animals. They do not have any decency. They are goondas of the world every seen. They do not know any good language. They are always harsh. Harrassing. Even if you do final settlement they will again want yout o pay more money wihtout anything. The are cruel people. I too have faced the similar problem of not clearing the cheques and charging high interest rates . and also some additional transactions even after blocking the Credit card. SBI credit card is the worst CREDIT card i had.

they also donot give your the cash back even if they advice so.

Indecent behavier for SBI CREDIT CARD collection agencies.
Iam also a card holder.I am ready to settlement.but I needs 20 days time. My husband also a heart patient. In past 20 days Collection agent ( Name : Anandan MOB .no [protected] & [protected].TANJORE, TAMILNADU) called for early morning to spoke vulgar &unparlementary words. He questioned why are you got loan, he threaten my daughter tomorrow morning I will published your family photo for I.p. yet i have indivdualy report to HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION .All mob talking are recorded. In this connection any bad instant in my home it is fully resonsible for your agent. In future You can advised your agent any customer to talk polite &do not using nasty &harsh words . (that person Mr.Anandan is not suitable person for collection excu, he is follow the ravudiciam)

Every now and then i have to change my Log In Id because SBI Credit Card division go on making the so called upgradation of the website. i am running out of new names to be used as IDs. The website may be upgraded every day . I have no objection. But this should not force the customer to keep changing the log in ID almost every week as it is happening during the last month or so. I have sent email after email to the Asst.Vice President, SBI Card but so far there has been not even an acknowledgement of my email, not to speak of redressing my grievance. Necessary steps should be taken to improve the website and make it less haraasing to the customer if not customer friendly.

I was a holder of SBI Card. When I started receiving bills towards expenses which I had not made at all and found that unnecessary charges were being levied, I decided to close down my Card and accordingly approached SBI Card for one time settlement. Accordingly SBI issued me a letter dated 30/11/05 offering me one time settlement on payment of Rs. 12, 000/-, which too was also in excess as I had not used the card to this extent. However, I issued two cheques amounting to Rs. 6, 00/- each, settling the dues. After this, I was under the impression that my account stands closed. However, after some time I received monthly statement and some telephonic calls regarding outstanding dues. I told them to clearly check their accounts and also told that I would approach the Consumers Redressal Forum for the forgery being carried out. The calls and monthly statement stopped. However, today I was shocked that SBI Cards have reflected my name in CIBLE. If SBI Card does not rectify this error immediately, I will be left with no other resource than approaching the Consumer Redressal Forum as per the Supreme Court guidelines.
