This is the copy of my email to one of the FBI agents... I was reading an elderly magazine name: Life After 50 when I saw an add at the classified ads section of the magazine. It was about a number to call if you want a personal loan especially for people that has no or bad credit. The magazine is on its November 2007 issue and the phone # advertised is [protected] and [protected]. I called the phone # and a representative took my personal info like a regular phone application consisting of my name, address, social security number, date of birth and employment info. After that she told me that it will be process within 1 week and somebody will contact me. After 1 week a lady name Lisa Fontaine from Saxton Financial Trust called and told me that I was approved for a $3,000 loan but since I have a bad credit I have to comply to either 3 collaterals the company offered. I have to choose either one for the loan to be pursued. #1 collateral is if I have a friend that has a good credit history for at least 6yrs that can co sign my loan; #2 is I have to buy an insurance to cover and pay my loan in case I became disable or loose my job. The cost of the insurance is $1000 but after 6mos, $500 will return to me. #3 collateral is to pay in advance for 6mos payment. The quote she gave me is $3000 with #130 monthly payment with 9% interest. She explained that if I advanced my payment, my next payment will be June of 2008. I was so delighted to be approved with a 9% int so I ask her to quote me for a $5000 loan. She said that I was also approved and the int went down to 8% but I have to send $750 for a 6mos payment. I told her that it was so great so how we can start it. Ms. Fontaine told me that she will fax me the agreement and after I received it I will have to sign and fax it back to her then she will instruct me on how to send the payment. Dec. 7,2007 when I received the fax at a local Fed Ex Kinkos Store in Camarillo, Ca. I read the agreement and found the loan to be okay so I faxed back the document and called Ms Fontaine at the # she gave me: [protected] and direct line [protected] ext. 2. She said that she have received my paper work and instructed me to send the $750 via money gram to an individual name Gabrielle Melrose in Alberta, Canada. I asked her why do I have to send the money to Canada when their office is based at Seattle, Wa. She connected me to her supervisor to better explain to me the reason . The supervisor told me that Gabrielle Melrose is my lender and she banks with Saxton Financial. Since she is my lender she will have to take the collateral. So I send the money via Money Gram same day on Dec 7 (Friday). I was so eager to complete the transaction since its already Friday and did not do any research on the company. Lisa Fontaine from Saxton Financial Trust told me that it will take an hour for them to verify my payment and 2hrs to wire the money ($5,000) to my bank account. I called her at approximately 2:15pm to give the confirmation # for money gram. After 1 hr I did not received any call. I figured to wait for another 2hrs. After 3hrs, I checked my bank online, no money was wires so I tried to call Lisa but did not received any answer. I started to panic and realized to check the company online. I typed www.saxtonfinancialtrust but the web could not read the browser. Instead, it prompted me to several links. I checked one of the links that directed me to 'consumer rip off'. I read an article that happened Nov 2007 to a lady that lived in Illinois. Same story happened to her and her loan officer is Brenda Hall. I called Saxton Financial Trust and listen to the company's directory. With no surprise Brenda Hall is also at the company's directory. I tried to stop the money by calling Money Gram but the money was received on Dec 7 at 4:10 in Toronto, Canada.I tried to report the incident to the police Sat am, but the station is closed so I went back on Monday Dec 10.I talked to Officer Ryan Stiles of the Camarillo Police Dept. She took all the info and a copy of the magazine, agreement and receipt and gave me the police report #. She instructed me to report it to the local FBI and thats when I get a hold of you. The same day, I get a hold of Ms Fontaine and she told me that shes working on finding out why my loaned money was not wired to my account. I notify Ms Fontaine that it should be wired or at least give my money back bec I notify the police already. After hours of waiting, I called her again and she said that Gabrielle Melrose, my lender received the payment of $750 but did a personal inquiry about my credit, they said that they will need more bec my credit score dropped 3%. I told Lisa that I will not pursue the loan anymore just send my money back, she said that one of the customer rep will contact me. On Dec. 11 (tue) a man from Saxton Financial Trust named Shawn Hunther from phone # [protected] called and told me that in order to pursue the loan, I will need to purchase an insurance and it will cost $1800 bec my credit score dropped 3% based on Melrose' inquiry on my credit. I told him that I will not pursue the loan anymore and that it is impossible for my credit to dropped 3% in 2 non working days. I also told him that that they should do the check first before approving my loan and that the cost of the insurance is not the original cost that was explained to me. I told him that I just need my money back. He told me at first that I will get a refund within 30 bus days. I tried to follow up with Lisa Fontaine but she told me that she don't have access to my file anymore. I told her how upset I am bec I followed all the instructions but they never did. She said she can't do nothing about it. I tried to call Shawn Hunther and he told me that I will get the refund money within 30-45 business days, within February 2008. i told him to document the call and also informed him that I notify the police and FBI about this. Since then, I never heard anything from them.

Well I guess they got me too. I saw the add in November as well. I sent in almost 1, 000 dollars before I asked for my money back. And I have not seen a red cent of my money either. Your story sounds exactly like mine. I was still trying to pray for hope until I just read your article. The guy that was helping me was Henry Eagles ext 6. I think I'm going to get me a lawyer and fight this, even if I don't get the money back, at least they want get anybody else like this. Thanks for taking the time to type this up.
