Savings2Go unauthorized charge

Order some electronic cigarettes back in September or October of 2010 and somehow got signed up for this Savings2Go and have had $14.95 deducted from my bank account every month since. When I finally got a contact number and requested that my membership be canceled the service rep did not offer to cancel it but instead want to send out new membership info and then wanted to set me up on a reduced membership plan where I only got charged annually. Only after I got extremely upset and repeated that I wanted to cancel a number of times did he finally cancel my membership to something I have never used and didn't know that I signed up for

The same thing happened to me today. there were two $14.95 charges to my bank account from sav2go and I called and got the same run around of offering me a one-time fee of $29.95 annually starting next month. I have told them I do not want it but they said if I but she started her sales pitch. if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. but she started sounding sort of irate, saying I didn't understand what she was trying to explain (if I spend over $25 in groceries, I will get $25 back) so I agreed to wait to make up my mind. but I am going to call tomorrow and try to cancel again.

Savings2Go automatic opt-in ripoff

If you purchase sham-wow, or smooth-away, or acai cleanse, online - beware. You will be automatically signed up for "savings2go" for a "free" 30 day trial membership. The only membership information you ever receive will go direct to your spam email and be deleted. If you do not ring and cancel the membership (that you never asked for and don't know that you have!), you will be charged something between $8.95 and $14.95 per month.

If you ring to cancel, be sure to be very firm and cut through the "sales pitch" about what a great membership deal you have (!?!). Insist that the membership be cancelled immediately and no further charges made to your credit card. Do not give the operator any further personal details like date of birth, social security number or credit card details. They should be able to look up your "membership" by phone number, address or full name.

This company's business practices are apparently legal but are patently unethical.

Savings2go & leisure plus does not enroll anybody in either membership unless they call to enroll. there are other businesses who offer the memberships with their products. that is how most people are enrolled into the memberships. savings2go & leisure plus have websites for their members. they also have phone numbers to be reached at. if this company was a "scam" they would not have phone numbers to be reached at, let alone a fax number or address, and lets not forget about the websites.
[protected] & [protected].

Also, the only reason they ask for some of you information is so they can look up your account so they can help you with your complaints/cancellations. it is done this way for one reason only. so they are looking at your account (the right one). if you do call just remember that the person you are talking to on the other end is a human just trying to make a living.

If you do have any question please let me know and I will help as much as I can.

Recently, I had an unauthorized transaction from this company, savings2go. It's charging me $14.95 monthly fee. I contacted my bank and they told me to call the merchant and cancel my membership, in order to get the refund. I have no idea on how to cancel an account created through my debit as i don't have the user id and the password. Very clever on the bank's side.

On 3/5/2017 14.95 was charged to my credit card with out my authorization.

The charge was from Savings2Go. I have never heard of this, before I checked online and found this site, Obviously I was scammed.

The credit card company took the charge off but said I will have to contact savings2go to cancel the membership I don't have.

Member services – stonebridge benefit services – fax# [protected] or [protected] (neither are good #'s)

Your company offers rebate services for gas and grocery recepits. the offer $10.00 each quarter for gas recepits mailed into them and $25.00 each quarter for grocery receipts mailed to them. the only stipulation listed on the rebate forms is that you are allowed one per quarter and that redemption must occur within 60 days of purchase and you must be a valid member at time purchase and of redemption. I have met all of your requirements – yet you still find some reason not to provide the services you promise in your sales material and on your website.

I became a member on 3/23/11. I mailed in my first recepits for rebate $10-gas/$25.00-groceries at the end of march - post marked 3/31/11 (1st quarter). I mailed additional $10-gas/$25.00-groceries redemtion forms/recepits the 1st week of april (2nd quarter).
I received 2 letters today stating they are not going to process my gas recepits because they have already been redeemed and that I am allowed only one per quarter. however, they were presented in different quarters and I have not received any redemption checks and your website doesn’t show any money coming to me.

When I called your “customer service” department today - I was told they mailed me 1 $10 gas rebate check but that they would look into the other one. I asked about to grocery receipts/rebates and was told I am not allowed to redeem them during my first 30 days. nowhere on any paperwork, redemption form on or your website does it show this stipulation. when I asked the representative where that rule is listed/shown - she agreed that it is not in writing anywhere - and she's not sure how I would have been aware of that - but there was nothing she could do. she advised that I would have to contact corporate and refused to give me a telephone # - only an address and fax #. I am now officially disputing this denial and requesting my money. your company owes me $70.00 and I expect payment in full upon receipt of this fax.

I would like the promised refunds made to me - I want a refund for the 1st quarter gas $10 and the 2nd quarter gas $10 along with 1st quarter grocery $25 and the second quarter grocery $25. I am requesting a total refund of $70.00 per the agreement and materials provided to me. I have enclosed copies of all the paperwork sent to you. I am also in the process of filing complaints with the bbb and any other governing body I can locate. what you are doing is illegal. it’s called deceptive trade practices! I also noticed that you are affiliated with an insurance company? I will also contact the texas department of insurance and make the aware of your antics along with the texas attorney general’s office.

Please send me my $70 and then cancel my service (as I want to make sure I am a paying member when you receive this fax so you can’t come up with another lame excuse to deny my payment. I will keep a transmission receipt on to prove the date and time it was sent/received.

Sincerely,
Bobbi larson

So I had never heard of this company until 2 months ago I noticed a charge to my main bank account for 14.95 to Savings2Go. A company I had never heard of, yet somehow they had my bank account number and my money. I called my bank and this "company" had been taking my money since Feb of 2017. $300 dollars of my money was stolen and I had no clue how. Unreal.

Savings2go fraudulantly took money from my bank account, without authorization. I do not know this company and have "never" done business with them. I discovered it when I looked at my statement. I have a claim with my bank and my bank card is no longer available. It has been stopped. I will be filing a fraudulant case against savings2go.

The amount they take out monthly is $14.95. In most cases it ranges from $8.95 to $14.95 per month. I've done research on this company.

Savings2Go fraud

I recieved a letter from my bank telling that my account is in the negative. I went my bank to see what the problem was and they told me that a company called, "SAVINGS2GO" has been taking 12.95 out of my checking account since April. I never authorized such thing, I am a full-time college student and a single parent and I need every dime that have. Whoever these people, company or whatever they should be punished to the fullest extent.

I have been getting charged 9.95 a month for over a year. never authorized it don't know anything about this group of crooks.
The bank let it happen and wouldn't do anything about it. Thank you B of A!
Called S2go this morning and they claimed my wife ordered some CD's and this promotion was part of something that came with it. Boy what a screaming deal! The wife never approved this transaction.

Just look at all the membership amounts, they are all different. I got away cheap for 9.95

Savings2Go unwanted account

I have received credit card billing for this company and as far as I know I never opened an account, nor had I ever heard of them until the bill came. At first I thought perhaps I had ordered something through them. I want to be taken off of their list of "customers" and no further charges.
I have no information nor an account number that I know of.

Savings2Go unauthorized credit card charge

My chase credit card statement showed 3 transactions (dated 12jan, 12feb and 12feb) in the amount of $14.95 each month. Total $44.85.

I did not ask for this service.in fact, I have never heard of it prior to noticing it on my statement. A bit worried how they got my credit card number.

This is the second time in the past year this has happened to me.

Please advise,

Savings2Go scam and cheating

I cannot figure out why businesses that want our return business let scam operations like savings2go - stonebridge life and reservationrewards - webloyaly to link popup coupon click pages to their websites. I got scammed by clicking on a rebate coupon from savings2go while x-mas shopping at buydig.com - beach camera. I never gave savings2go my card info so they must have got it from buydig because they charged my account. I contacted stonebridge and did get my money back. I will no longer do business with any online retailer. I was using ussearch.com and found a popup coupon scam link on their webpage to reservationrewards promising $10 off next purchase from ussearch. I contacted ussearch and the following is their response to me.

Please be informed that we are not accountable for other websites who connect to our USsearch website for offering discounts to the customers. However as stated earlier we value the privacy of our customers and at any cost we do not sell, lease or rent information collected on the Website.

Received unsolicited mail informing me that I had authorized by phone monthly payments of $12.95 to be automatically deducted from my account. They do indeed have my debit card information. My correct name was on the mailing envelope and on an enclosed membership card. The card also provided me with a membership number: [protected]. I have never in my life before heard of this outfit; I have never talked with any of their agents or representatives on the phone; I never requested the provided membership; I most positively never authorized charges to my debit card.

Savings2Go unsolicited e-mail, unwanted membership

Unsolicited e-mail, unauthorized “membership” established in my name.

On the morning of [protected], I received an unsolicited e-mail from Savings2Go
stating “welcome to Savngs2Go” here is your membership number.

I have never heard of this “company” nor have I ever applied to them for a “membership.” Being suspicious, I Googled “Savings2Go complaints” and found a treasure-trove of horror stories about unauthorized charges being made to credit cards.

I immediately contacted the nearest Better Business Bureau in Abilene, Texas about this organization and they were no help at all.

I became concerned about charges showing up on one of my credit cards so I decided to call a phone number in Plano, TX associated with Savings2Go, AKA “Stonebridge Benefits Services Company” at 2700 West Plano Parkway, Plano, TX [protected]. I advised the first person I talked to of the unsolicited e-mail and my desire to NOT BE A MEMBER. I was immediately given the run-around and then asked for personal information concerning my home phone number and my date of birth. I told this person, “let me speak to your supervisor” and I soon began a conversation with someone named (I believe) Sharon. I repeated my dilemma, and got the same song and dance concerning “You need to give me your home phone number and date of birth…”

Long story made short, I told Sharon I was about to file a complaint with the Attorney General of Texas if she didn’t immediately remove me from their “membership.” I did give them the bogus membership number they assigned to me and told them, stop this immediately. Not knowing if they indeed will delete my “membership” and stop sending me unwanted and unsolicited e-mails, I filed a complaint on-line through the Attorney General of Texas.

I am now in the process of sending my complaint file to the address of stonebridge benefits in plano by certified mail with delivery confirmation to ensure these unscrupulous people stop, cease and halt all further e-mails to me. I also wish to keep a paper-trail of this in the event I discover charges being made to my credit card. If they do not comply, I am delighted to file a lawsuit against these people.

I found an unauthorized charge of $14.95, dated 2/6/09, on my Visa account. I called the 800 number and spoke with a "representative" who spoke very broken English, asking for my phone number, birth date, etc. I demanded a credit to my Visa account, to which she finally agreed. I hope to see this credit on my next Visa statement. Meanwhile, I am being charged a finance charge for this amount.

Anything you can do to stop these types of unauthorized charges from happening will certainly be appreciated. I feel sorry for those who just pay their bill without actually looking at the charges.

I didn't sign up for this! my bank is aware an they are watching for any further withdrawls. is there anything I can do to get my $ back?

I had an unauthorized charge to my account approx one and a half to two months ago. I called my bank and they gave me a 1-800 number to call and complain with this company. only that time it was from some place called smokers savior. this is the exact phrase on my bank statement (smokers savior los angel 12/18smokers s). I called the 1-800 number and got my money refunded to my account. now I just realized that savings2go debited my account for $14.95. I have not authorized any charges for this company and they will be reported to the better business bureau, as well as my lawyer. enough is enough, especially reading all these complaints!

I was on a marriott website trying to book a room, I decided to call the 800 number to book the reservation. I "somehow" got a person from savings2@go and they told me it was a short survey and then I would be connected. after this person was making me go through the hoops.. I told him I just wanted to reserve a room. I finally got fedup & hung up. these people called back to my residence (caller id) 5 times. the last time he said it was a manager and said it would just take a few more minutes and I would be connected to the reserve my room. after the recording fininshed, I was disconnected. I ended up calling the marriott on their direct line and told them about my experience, she said they had received other comments such as mine. I do not know if this company "hacked" their 800 number or the marriott has the wrong # on their website (this was for tucson). they sent me hydroxatone - I did not want - did not open the containers returned the product 8-18-12 so we will see what happens. this entire experience is fraud and they should not be allowed to conduct business! I am going to attempt to cancel this right now, I just saw this page and want to express my experience.

I have been being charged 12.95 by this company untill today I had never heard of this company. when I called to get information the girl asked my name and phone number, I gave them to her, she said I have no record of you, I then asked if you do not have record of me why are you taking money from my account. she got very rude "I do not have any record of you" I said then stop taking money from my account. she hung up! I called back asking for a supervisor made my complaint of the first "costumer service represenative" and then continued on tellling him of the problems I am having with his company. he also could not find me in the computer. I repeated that I have never heard of savings 2 go. he explained that it was a program for movie tickets, travel, ect. and that I should have recieved coupons for gas and a membership card, I have never recieved anything from this company. after further research we did find my information at a old address and my maiden name. the man on the phone stated that he would stop further payments, and would refund $51.84. this seemed good, however after more research they have taken over 450. oo out of my account. this was a faulse charge and I am intitled to a full refund. not 1/8th of the money taken.

Recieved unsolicited mail stating that "Your Membership Card Has Arrived!" I did not, to my knowledge, sign up for any such membership and have no idea where this membership request originated. Somehow they also sent an email to me, how they got that and my physical address is a complete mystery to me.
The only thing I can think of was when I was ordering the "Free Trials" of Colon Cleanse Detox and Acai Berry Detox for my wife to try out before actually ordering. I found out today that both Detox programs have in their fine print that after the free trial you do not cancel then they will automatically deduct from your account ($90.00 per product almost).
To date Savings2Go has not deducted anything from my bank but I am watching!

On april 25, 2012 I received unsolicited mail stating that I had prior authorized - by phone - a monthly withdrawal of $14.95 for what? this is not someting I need, want or care to afford especially since I did not request anything from you. a complaint will be filed with the florida trade commission. I am an 80 plus years old retired teacher and live on a very meager income. I did not knowlingly order anything but may have been looking at an online site or even unsolicited emails that come in like fleas. I will place a stop payment on this immediately. my only income is minimal social security retirement and am also on food stamps for myself and a moderately handicapped adult grandson.

I am one of the thousands of people who have apparently been spending $12.99 a month on something I've never heard of. I noticed my bank account was mysteriously overdrawn today and I had no number to call. So I googled it, found this site and someone mentioned the numbers they had to call. So thank you for this site as I finally managed to cancel the membership I never signed up for and never meant to have to a company I've never heard of.

This company, stonebridge benefit services has stolen $120 in monthly $14.95 transactions from our checking account through a shady opt-in "checkbox" from some other online account transaction. i've never knowingly authorized these charge nor the membership in their so-called travel rewards program.

My husband ordered a product by phone in february and was offered a bunch of "extra" stuff that he refused repeatedly. the agent kept pushing him and pushing him and my husband told him then and there that he did not want anything except what he ordered. he got a really bad taste in his mouth so he called the credit card company and explained the conversation he had and they recommended he cancel the card and get a new one so he did. here we are three months later with the bill for the new card and a charge for $14.95. unbelievable! he called the credit card company who put him on a three-way call with the company (sb savings2go select) and they agreed to credit the charge. the bank says the merchant should not be able to charge the new account and that this was probably a holdover charge from the other account number. we shall see! can't trust anyone these days!

My father got a letter from them telling him he was enrolled in their program. He has no credit cards, and the only account he has is a checking account which does not end in the number they provided that they said they'd deduct $14.95 automatically monthly, "authorized by him on June 16, 2010 by phone." He has no internet to sign up for anything. We have no idea how they got his name which is spelled wrong. He says they never called him, but then he's 94 and one can't always rely on him very well.

did call the Savings2Go customer service, and I ordered them to fax me my signature when I agreed to sign up for their program. The only thing they told me is that I purchased something from a company I have never even heard of.

That comment is NOT my signature. That is NOT any agreement. I want to see, in writing, when I agreed to these charges.

Additionally, where are these services that I allegedly received from them? I have nothing but this group having unauthorized access to my bank account. I have changed accounts because of them.

In the state of Illinois, it is illegal to record phone calls without both party's consent. I NEVER consent to being recorded. If I must be recorded in order to talk to a customer service rep, then they have agreed to be recorded for quality assurance. You should hear the response to that.

What do you think? Should I YouTube the conversations?

Then we will see how fast Savings2Go responds.

if you contact the number listed in your back account statement that is associated with the unauthorized charges, they (savings2go) will work with you.

it happens that i was enrolled into their services when i placed an online order for something else, you have GOT to make sure you read EVERYTHING on the online invoice BEFORE you click "pay now", as i did not and there was a box already checked to enroll me, all i would have had to do was to UN-check it and this would not have happened.

the same thing happened to me at my bank with the bounced check scenario, and after i called Savings2Go, they refunded the 14.95 back to my account, and will be refunding the 30.00 once they receive the fax i will be sending them showing the unauthorized charge, and the following nsf fee that was a direct result of that unauthorized charge.

the statement you fax to them needs to include a running balance, showing how their removal of the 14.95 caused a shortage in your account that directly resulted in the return of a check that would have cleared had the 14.95 been in there.

as you can see from the attached photo, after i deposited 200 to my account, i wrote a check for 196, but because of the 14.95 unauthorized charge, it bounced, and the bounce was a dirtect result of their charge. you can also see where they have already refunded me the 14.95, and they will be refunding me the 30.00 fee once they receive the fax im going to send to them today showing them the same thing im showing you.

so all in all, there is hope.

I absolutely agree with the argument that this is a scam. I was also charged without authorization. When I called in the lady told me it was because I purchased a house cleaning product from a website and that website signed me up. I don't think a website can sign me up for a membership and authorize funds to be debited from my account. I never purchased a cleaning product online. I went back through my bank statements and I was never charged for a cleaning product that I supposedly purchased online. I was also told that the 14.95 will be refunded to my account. If I don't see it soon I will be escalating the issue.

I do work for savings2go (aegon) and every call is recorded and is reviewed by not just one but multiple levels of quality control making sure that the script was followed, all prices said correctly and the cust said his or her zip code correctly or pushed the appropriate keys on your phone. Theres alot more rules a rep must follow but I wont get into all of it.

**YOU** must authorize the sale or it doesnt go through, its that simple. I will guarantee that every one of you who are complaining DID in fact say your zip code to the rep or push the keys on the phone AFTER the rep said the "to confirm this authorization etc" statement, which gives authorization to charge your card. Every sale is recorded and kept to protect the company from people who agree to try the program and then call it a scam or say they didnt authorize it...and also to protect the customer from any potential errors.

but

Its just not possible for a sale to get completely passed unless you agree to have it sent out.

Also you have 30 days to CANCEL the program if you dont like it and your only out one dollar. Most companies give you 7 or 14 days. You will save more than 1 dollar in that 30 days and if you like it, keep it for the monthly fee. I dont see a scam there.

So whether you (want to) remember it or not, you agreed to have it sent out.

The economy is bad enough without people agreeing to pay for things on the phone and then backcharging and going online and destroying the companies credibility because they acted as poor and uninformed customers.

In closing, Ill say savings2go is not a scam, its a legit company with real people just doing their jobs and trying to feed their families too. The reps are not heartless salesmen...some have been in the military, some are just single parents, etc.

Charges showed up on my card as well. When I checked my card transactions online I got a telephone # [protected]. I called this number and spoke w/ a person (option 6) to cancel the account. They had my wifes email, however, she says she didn't give out our credit card number. They are supposed to credit my card for the transaction. Good luck.

Savings2Go fraudulent charge to my credit card

I found an unauthorized charge on my credit card from this company. Literature online states that many people are finding these unauthorized charges on their credit cards for small amounts. I am going to call my credit card company and deny this charge.

As with the many other complaints I see listed here, this company Savings2Go has charged my credit card for the amout of $14.95. I have no idea how they got my credit card information and how they got authorization to charge me this amount.

I received their information in the mail and logged on to their website to see what the company offered. I immediately saw that there was nothing that they offered in which I had any interest, so I logged off the website and threw away their information. Now, I am being charged by them?!?!

This is AMAZING to me! How do they even get your credit card information? PLEASE HELP PUT THIS COMPANY TO A STOP!

Thank You.

These people are rip off artist. I'm going to have to take legal action against them.
They've been charging my account for some time now and the supervisor MARY
was totally useless. I too will take legal action right away and perhaps the state of Texas
will consider shutting down these crooks.

I sent back the Smooth Away kits because they are a fraud and DO NOT work like claimed in the commercials and other ads. I have not recieved any refund of $60 and Savings2Go is ripping me off. They must be exposed and put out of business ASAP.

I discovered a charge on my bank account from your company. The major problem is I never signed up for or with your company. I would greatly appreicate it if you would cancel this so-called membership to whatever and reimburse my account.

I hope by typing the code I'm not signing up for something else.
