Save-A-Lot unprofessionalism

I was the save a lot in checkout 3 the employee stated she closing down lane because sugar was spilled and not be responsible for anybody fall. The employee stated that we need to go to another lane because they don't have insurance in the building. I was at front of that line and now will have moved to end of another line after being in line for 20mins

Save-A-Lot extremely pleasant and nice manager.

I was in Sav A Lot over 3 weeks ago and had an experience with a great manager. This was the store on Merritt Blvd in Dundalk Maryland. I can't remember his name but he was wonderful. There were cracked eggs on the shelf and when I handed them to him he joked and said, "you know you broke them". He said this with a smile on his face and I laughed. When I was rung up, I mistakenly gave the cashier the wrong payment and she had to re-ring up all my groceries. She had to call the same manger that joked with me earlier and he was just as pleasant and so was she. With all the complaints listed, I wanted to throw in a pleasant experience. We need to remember how underpaid and over worked they all are.

Save-A-Lot sanitation

How is possible that a tall bald meat worker, is always with boogers and drunk. Smelling like alcohol. Don't this company do drugs test or any kind of test before hiring a person. What if he has aids you never know and when you have kids has a mother the first thing that comes to our mind is THE WORST SCENARIO... I'm sorry but someone needs to talk to him.

Save-A-Lot customer service it needs to be coached

Is it right on this company to treat their employees rough.A manager today named Jennifer talked extremely rude to one employee and she smelled like illegal substance marihuana like you were able to smelled miles away.
What ethic and company policy is that. How unprofessional and wrong was that. I love to shop at Save a Lot because you have cashier she is white Hispanic with black short hair and another one with red hair both very nice young educated ladies. The one with the black hair she is very organize your products, smiles and always seems so positive.
There's never a time a have seen that young lady not greeting customers or doing something.
She is a great asset.I already offered her a part time but she refused sorry couldn't missed the opportunity of having someone like that at Kimberly Clark offer she refuse why only she knows! Back to your night manager Jennifer or at least that is the name the cashier provided me, not forgetting to mention her smell of marijuana it was very strong in my opinion customer we all looked at each other because it was very evident that you are working under illegal substances and unprofessional appearance.I personally love to shop in the morning the employees are less bit with much more quality I see my favorites employees at that time they are so much more nicer and respectful, I'll say in my personal opinion they enjoy what they do. In another manner the other afternoon to le was very rude and disrespectful that cashier has far has I know shouldn't be allowed to be taking care of the customer and also talking on their cell phones that happened to me this past week around 130pm with a Jamaican cashier. He rings and throw your groceries like they were heavy boxes.No I'm paying for food, and that food is for humans my family not animals. A little bit more caring for customers should be nicer. Happy customers always come back, or at least I do.
I love Lenny, Jessina, Tamia she is amazing, and I do miss the very tall and skinny
Manager Jay he was such a great manager and a people person, he used to take care of customers, he got carts he was everywhere. And very respectful man. Only pointer I can provide is my opinion. I work for Kimberly Clark and pretty often we visit stores that carries our brands and even do I didn't see much from us you guys have pretty much everything, what you guys do need in my opinion is a small area for automotive that way you have a bit of everything to offer and more sales for the store and customers don't need to run next door to the dollar store wich is always a disaster zone, not to mention they ghetto appearance and way of expressing. And is great that you don't sell alcohol, cigarettes and anything that hurts our growing future. One last thing please if a customer wants to address an issue to Mr. Jimmy and when is a serious matter he should come out of the office instead of sending one of his assistants to take care of it. In my experience, managers have to be able to be approach by customers and let them speak to you not to your assistants. He should leave his personal phone aside and should spoke to me instead of saying on the walkie what does she wants?
Take care of it, no if I asked for him is because I know the law and top of that it was something that can at the end of the day hurt someone. Let's say that this manager that was using a mechanical forklift is too high and cause an accident with a customer. This will affects the company economically speaking and also could get sue. There are details that needed to be addressed by Mr.Jimmy because that's all they told me when I asked Ms.Jennifer I know she was mad and in a rush but we all deserve 100% customer service, we can wait and we can understand if the communication is there. In the mornings you don't see this kind of behavior, is more next person in line please register and the number. Is more civilized and organized. There is always a thank you, a greet and never missed an apology if there was something wrong in the store. They take care of it right away, I have seen it and even took pictures of your employee taking care of it. Why because these are things that matters, but yet it seems that the manager is more busy on his phone and talking about customers behinds with other employees things that makes a real lady disrespected.
About the two kids in the morning Her and the young man in the mornings are the best let's mention too the lovely Ms. Loretta a Jamaican lady that I can barely understand her but she smiles at me and she offers fresh products all she needs is more customer approach, don't wait for me to ask you, if you see I'm walking around you a few times that means I'm seeking for a product that is not visible or out of stock and I get it. Is busy, it's not their fault but let me know. Excuse me but unfortunately we ran out of tomatoes for example those little ones that are great for homemade sauce.
Other than that I think I had said enough. Hopefully customers opinion are taken in consideration and tips are free. I don't have a bad experience but overall you guys need more employees well trained like Lenny, Tamia and Loretta she just needs a little touch and she would be even better than she already is. Also I noticed that there is no security in the morning and that should be a big concern if the paper that I read at the door is correct that the company plans on selling alcohol then the store will definitely will need security.
And more employees like those please. Makes our shopping experience more pleasant and we leave with a great experience from your store. The only Save a Lot that I personally shop and spend time looking around is in Bridgeport. Waterbury and Hamden are horrible, terrible customer service, so dirty and unorganized a total disaster.
But Bridgeport has something that they are missing employees that do care for customers and their company. Because I did ask something to Lemmy and Tamia and they defended and explained extremely well how their company works and why some brands are not on hand but instead offered the store brand wich is a great way of educating the customer about, your own brands, quality and in the case the customer dislike the product you bring your receipt the product and get your money back. Something that I totally ignored for so long. I wish you greatness and much more stores to open with employees that knows what they are talking about and addressed on their own issues and also provide different options so the customer leave the store satisfied and happy with his new purchase.
It can be a can for. 99 or a meat or frozen food, detergents, but those two did a great job. It's not telling the customer we don't carried it but also offer your product to them. Letting us know that your product it is the same quality and better yet lower price.
Trust me I'm a super busy Operations manager with 3 boys and yes a single mother and people like that make your shopping experience so much easier and less stressful. They are well informed on their products, where are they located and if they are not at the register they even walk you and show you were items are placed. You have a very quiet but nice employee she has dreads in different colors and she always smiles. I barely see her at night's.

But she is also valuable just like the other ones I mentioned before. Save a Lot has great future but has details that needs attention from management.
Not everyone is capable to provide customer service skills, feeling with people can be stressful, overwhelming, exhausting and extremely deteriorating.But the key is the attitude you put on goals, doing more and talking less, be around positive people, team work, and communication. Keep having amazing employees I tried to steal one of yours but she said no. At least I tried..

Save-A-Lot store in bridgeport 869 poor customer service, ethic, professionalism.

02.01.18 Around 937am I went to do my groceries first thing you had one cashier and one manager.In her face you could tell she was doing more than she could. Poor young lady looked so stressed. Respectfully she asked a gentleman that was screaming to calm down that she was opening another register to take care of us in line. To just be a little bit patience and it only took I will say 8 minutes and the lines when down. It's all about customer service, communication, how you handle whatever inconvenience life present you and how you manage it, don't show anger or any type of emotion just listen sometimes people need to vent and they take it with the first person they see in their way. I felt so bad for her but she put a smile on her face and took care of us and I have to say we all stayed in her line. She was very proactive I should say.
You see her here and there running up and down. Assisting the cashier with effectiveness and urgency I even saw her getting carts, I stopped when I was leaving the store and asked her do you enjoy your job and she said I do it is not bad it's just first day of the month and it gets busy, the hardest is to be able to satisfied customers with their requests, but it has all been taken care off and now it's all good Ma'm she smiled at me and wish me a good day. Later same day I go to see if the pack of water that was on sale for 1.99 were received to purchase 10 has we usually do. And she still at that time it was almost 230pm with her smile, cheeks red and was able to recognize me and said see you love us, and I reply I love your attitude. And blessed her for the way she cares for us customers.
And if my age don't failed me her name was Tainia or something like that. Store in Bridgeport only needs more employees like her. Always be a people person, because it's all about customer service and quality. I travel from New Rochelle to Bridgeport every week just because of employees like that, and elderly lady like me sometimes missed stuff, and she not even tells you were they are she takes you there and then ask anything else Ma'm Also there is a nice cashier named Lenny who also is great, always able to make people smile and have a great personality, he is very charismatic something very that makes him unique. Like the you Hispanic lady Taimia. I asked her are you manager she responded maybe in a future for now I'm responsible for the store while my boss gets here. Have to make sure everything is good for customers and him and smiled. I was telling her she has the attitude and that leadership to be whom ever she wants to be in life and to my surprise she works at the store, she manage to do nails and hair at her house and do online college to accomplish her dreams and with that her little boy expectations. And that made me think is it OK if I tip her, so I offered a $20 dollar bill for her service and she denied taking them she said Ma'm I get paid by the company and it never bothers me do my job and extra if its required. Those two young kids had values but most importantly they have that natural instinct to deal with people with no effort needed.
Employees like that are the ones that should be kept. Not like that young man named Conrod he never smiles always serious and unorganized. He throw your groceries that always messed up my bread, fruits and soft groceries like the cones for the grandkids, I had to ask for bags because for the first time I wasn't offered to buy bags. Wish by the way those are great bags, they hold weight and durable, another point you guys needed carts and baskets.And also yesterday I noticed there were more. That is an A+ for your store. Your manager should be more available for customers when I personally asked to have a word with him regarding and issue that should be addressed only by himself since it is his store correct, it was related of an employee that was getting a cart just one while the Hispanic lady took six counted, he waited for her to go in the store and I saw him doing something not too nice.
He was smoking that brown cigarette that one that has a very peculiar smell while getting carts. Such a great store and that affects in a negative way your reputation. I asked him son are you allowed to do this type of actions while you getting paid that is called stealing company time did you knew that, you are putting at risk your job and he said whatever, had to tell him young kid you need to have some manners and be loyal to your company. I owned a little Groceries store in Bronx, New York for over 20yrs and I had seen a bit of everything but there are issues that has to be addressed in order to all be successful, things needs to be properly donde since the first time we made them.
This is my personal opinion and I've been shopping here for the past 3years and it's all because of the prices, how clean and sanitized store is, and also quality I do have to say sometimes the meat department has a real bad smell wich I know it has to do with the change of the temperature I get that, but more sanitation is needed. Other than that you guys and those employees that I mentioned before are amazing kids. It makes my shopping much more happier and easier. It's not being lazy it's the age. I have to blame something correct.

That is my girl she is always cute and nice. She is the only one I can say likes her work all other ones work with a long face like if u don't like ur job stay home. But hello u here for a reason. No but that I think she said once she is Colombian mixed with puertorican...something Hispanic mix but in fact she is the best. She takes you fast, smiles, answers the supermarket phone and take you all at one. AnN Lenny that my boy from the Gas Station.

Save-A-Lot taken money

Went to a save a lot store the other day.. Store #00304 in springhill fl. I had approximately 8 items, four of them were canned goods. A man rang me up. I had clear what i was spending and had added up my items before hand. After being rung up, my total didnt match. I paid and thought i had messed up. Then after all done, i checked my receipt and i was over charged for a can of cherry pie filling. I turned around and caught the man who had did this. I told him what had happened. He scanned the receipt a long time, like he didnt believe me, as i showed him what had happened. He said just wait and i will give you a refund. I waited lines were pretty long. I then said to him as i had to put back a can of peaches when i checked out, so i said if you want just exchange the can of peaches for what he had rung up wrong. He gave me a dirty look and just gave me the peaches. I thought to my self well i just lost my own money, plus savelots store inventory will be short over this too. There wasnt a fight about it, he didnt care. He continued on with customers. Im writing this because with only four canned items, there was no reason to put two cans of cherry..At...Because i only had one cherry filling. I could see if i had a whole lot of canned items but only had four... This store really needs a over haul, cashiers are the unfriendliest ive ever seen. I used to be in managment in fast food and this store is terrible on smiles or help. Back in storm irma, i got ripped off for four dollars and tried to tell a cashier who wanted me to wait in line for 30 minutes. I am disabled and i couldnt wait that long. I tried to get cashiers that knew of this loss to sign the receipt so i could come back another time..Nobody would do it. So again i lost money again. This store needs a customer service area..I am no accountant but i am betting this store has lost monies and inventory just by what has happened to me, not including how man others were ripped off and do not even know it. I have to count for every penny and this is why i knew of what happened to me. I go to save a lot because it is close to me and i do save but i am reconsidering going somewhere else. Its not worth the money to lose or the the way i feel after i go there. There was one more instance i have to say one time i went in there for cat litter, i didnt want to lift the bag out of my cart again, so had the cashier, dawn..She got mad at me because i didnt lift the bag of litter..My back and other parts of my body have been damaged from car wrecks. So i told her i just cant lift it again, she told me with a smirk..I have a bad back too..Which made me feel horrible. Told my son about the situation he was very mad at what she did to me. Why am i writing this, because i know of quality, service, and this store doesnt have it..I hope you will make changes and find some new employees and watch your store like a hawk, somewhere, some how people got some ripping off doings. Save-A-Lot luck's pinto beans

I have been buying the luck's pinto beans from the save a lot in Hixson TN for a few years now, but the last two weeks they have not had any but today I found out that save a lot has stopped caring this brand. I am sorry to hear that. If save a lot wants to stop caring these name brand pinto beans since it was a big sale item then I very well may have to take my business elsewhere.

Save-A-Lot manager tj store #00637

On 1/24/18 I just purchased a container of Resers Fine Foods Coleslaw and it fell on the floor at the end of the checkout. I waited 10 minutes for the Manager to come up and he saw what happened and I asked him can I get another one. He told me only if I purchased another one in very slurred speech as if he were drunk. So I purchased another one as to avoid a argument and reach out the corporate office to rectify this matter.

Save-A-Lot bags

Save a Lot needs to use bags that are fit to use for bagging our groceries, my 1st bag tore while getting it off the bag rack to put it in my buggy, 2nd one tore trying to get it out of buggy into my trunk, it had my meat in it, 3rd one tore while unloading my car causing my vegetable oil to fall out and roll over the hill, even though I can barely walk I had to go over the hill and get it, and if that's not bad enough a fourth one tore going through the door, to say the least I was a very aggravated customer by this time, this problem needs to be fixed, we pay enough for our groceries without having to pick them up off the ground, the floor or from over the hill.

Save-A-Lot employee

Britnee is the employees name. Customer in front of me in line was being checked out and when he paid he was given back 3 dollars in coins as change and he jokingly said well you must not like me and she said no and proceeded to have a rude attitude towards him until he left. Every time i have came to the store she is always being rude to someone. Whether she has been stocking shelves or running a register. This is no way to train an employee.

Save-A-Lot orange chicken 5 for 5 mix and match 24 oz bag

I purchased the 5 for 5 orange chicken from the Lancaster NY store for dinner for my family I opened the package and found no chicken in the bag. There was only the two Mandarin orange flavor sauce packets in the bag. I purchased three bags and the other 2 were perfectly fine. I am hoping that this was just a packaging mistake and am glad I had more than one bag. Anyone else would probably be very upset

Save-A-Lot long lines and staff playing and laughing

I walked into the Save A Lot in Cleveland, Ohio at 125th Street and St. Clair this afternoon at about 3:30 pm. The entire entryway freezer section was out of order and covered with a clear covering. I proceeded to shop and upon finishing I discovered two very long lines at checkout. The lines went down the aisles. I waited several minutes and a cashier approached an empty register only to take her cash drawer out as if she was leaving for the day. She walked back to the front where I then heard the staff laughing nonchalantly. I waited several more minutes before putting my items down and walking out. When I walked past I saw four (4) staff members standing there laughing and talking. This is an unacceptably disrespectful way for this brand to be managed. The store is located in inner city Cleveland. We deserve better. Too often the inner cities and their residents are treated as if they are expendable and unworthy. I demand better treatment and management. This is completely unacceptable.

Save-A-Lot christmas fruit basket

My mother Bought a Christmas fruit basket earlier today 12/19/2017, First all the fruit was rotten ( orange was actually green and oozing ), second the basket was broken, Third had all of it covered with paper and a few pieces of candy, , , I have small children that she had bought it for and they would have been serious problems if any of my children would have ate them and gotten sick 😷, And the basket could have gotten splinters from it, it fell apart like it was dry rotted ! The paper was also stuck too the fruits ! TIA

Save-A-Lot chicken breast with rib meat

I was in the Bridgeport, Connecticut store on Monday afternoon, and there was a sign that said chicken breast with rib meat $1.89 TOTAL price, when I get to the register, I informed the cashier, both her and I go to the frozen food case, I show her, she then tells her supervisor, he then checked it himself, and takes the sign off, and tell me NO, I will not honor this, but that he'd honor $1.89 a pound, he was very rude, he would not give me his name, I told him I'd contact corporate, I feel like I was disrespected once he began to yell, how can you have employees talking to customers this way, a manager at that, at least thats what he yelled at me when I asked to see the manager, as he walked off, unbelievable

Save-A-Lot an employee in parking lot doing something wrong

I was shopping at save a lot as I was packing my stuff I saw the employee that worked in the meat dept in a red car doing the nasty on the parking lot in his uniform inside a red car with a girl who had black long hair and glasses the license plate number was 325 twx. The only reason I am filing this is because that is very unprofessional and there were kids around I just couldn't believe it. My children were in the backseat I'm just glad they didn't notice!

Save-A-Lot rude and insensitive behavior, not to mention treatment by store manager tracy castro at the south main street, wilkes-barre save - a-lot store!

O n Tuesday August 29th I purchased the product Miracle Whip At a price of $.99 which was on the end cap of an isle, with huge sign overhead stating the price was $.99.
After looking at my receipt on Friday September 1st, only 3 days latter, I noticed I was charged $3.49 for the product, $2.50 more than I agree to pay for the product.
At that point I returned to the store with my receipt and asked for the store manager to receive a refund for the difference in price that was advertised on the end cap of the store isle.
Tracy Castro refused to honor my request and treated me with disrespect, and told me if I have a complaint to file one, end of subject. I have the photos necessary to substantiate my claim.
I feel she lacks the people skills to be a manager in any institution and would like an answer to my complaint.

Save-A-Lot 8-3-2017 store accident at ellis avenue sal in jackson, mississippi;

On 8-3-17, I was entering into save a lot in Jackson, Mississippi when the front entrance door opened incorrectly and injured my (r) arm/wrist, back and side. As I had went on inside the store it came back so fast on me. I reported it to a cahier, who said that the door had been like that and that they was trying to get it fixed. She then called a store manager, and he completed an incident report. Well, after not recieving a call from no one, I called this customer service number on 8-9-17 and was told that everything would be turned over to the claims dept who would be contacting me within 72 hours. Well, it has been more than 72 hours and I have not yet been contacted. In which I prefer to be contacted by email., and have not even recieved a letter in the mail in regards to. [protected]@yahoo.com. Please be aware that I did record the cashiers statement and the managers who said that there was a video of the incident and have consulted with an attorney. At this time, I am awaiting a response from the claims dept. Mam or Sir, this is not right!

Save-A-Lot cheese

Moldy cheese I brought the day before. My child was sick after eating. I have pictures and a receipt.I called and made a complaint. I don't feel like it was taken serious. I am not happy with the lack of concern. Two packs of cheese was molded.I got a gift card for 3 dollars for one bag.the other bag that my child eat some of and got sick.she didn't offer me a refund and told me I'll get a call in 7 to 14 days.

Estoy muy enojado por el servicio que me acaban de dar en el save a lot de la federal y Evans el cajero párese que no le gusta su trabajo estaba cobrando las cosas que yo agarré pero para ponerlas en mi el carrito las estaba aventando y eso no me gusta nada y pienso que tampoco les gustaría que les avienten las cosas que están comprando ustedes o cual quier otra persona o cliente
