South African Post Office [SAPO] Always offline

I live in Wendywood (Sandton, Johannesbur) and whenever I visit the Wendywood Post Office (PO) they are always offline. It takes 2 to 3 visits before I am assisted. Once, on the 4th visit was I then visited.

On Friday, 20 January 2017 at 15:15, was my last visit and I had lost my patience. Having called earlier in the day to make sure they were not offline, I notified the staff who answered that I will be visiting later to renew my motor vehicles licence disk. I asked for the closing time and was told 16:30.

When I arrived, I was told they have just gone offline. I told the two ladies who were on shift that I was going to lodge a complaint as every time I visit this branch they are offline. I also reminded them of my call which one of the ladies said she'd remembered but then in person she tells me that they close at 17:00.

Both ladies refused to give me their names neither were they wearing name badges. I then went to the shop next to the Wendywood PO and discussed the matter with the staff and owner. They also confirmed that the post office seems to always be offline and they actually use the Morning Glen post office as the service is better.

On a separate incident, my husband had visited the Wendywood PO and as usual they were offline. They asked him to go to the Morning Glen PO. He complained to the teller at Morning Glen PO and the teller said to him that many people have come to them complaining of Wendywood PO always being offline.

My uncle who also lives in Wendywood only visits the Wendywood post office in the mornings as everytime he went in the afternoon, they were always offline.

Please close the Wendywood post office down as they are always offline. I suspect that customers are told that they are offline by the staff so that the staff can close on time every day.

On Friday when I visited, it was 15:15 in the afternoon. The two staff members were counting money so it looked like they were cashing up. With 1 hour and 45 minutes to go, cashing up could have waited because there was plenty time if the systems came back online.

Please investigate this matter.

South African Post Office [SAPO] inside of parcel stolen

I ordered a PS Vita 16GB card from Japan on 05 10 2016. I went to collect it from my P.O. Box on the 27 12 2016 in Somerset West / Somerset Mall. It had been checked by SARS (big sticker on it). It also had a sticker on it saying Missend to Australia (explains why took so long).

I opened my package and inside was the package, cut open, but no PS Vita card. During the check by SARS this must have gotten 'lost' nicely said.

The value of this card is $ 45, so it seemed as if this is a perfect Christmas present for someone else.

I am extremely upset about this, please sort this out.

An international package was tampered with an item was stolen from the package. The post office in Sunninghill asked that I fill out a form in which I attached the invoice for the item that was stolen. I haven't heard anything from the Post office about this claim.

This is the postage number: UM623188929US

Good day, I need a contact number for the online license renewal service. I uploaded my certified documents and paid the full amount on 2022/06/20, and I have still not received my license disk. I have sent numerous emails on their “contact us” tab online, however I have not received any response to date.

South African Post Office [SAPO] delivery of international parcel

I bought a parcel from Czech Republic. It arrived at JHB International Hub on 24 June 2016 (Tracking Number: RR...Z). On 11 July I received a response to a query logged via the SAPO website enquiring as to where the parcel is and how I can get it to Benmore Post Office in Sandton. I received a response from Benjamen Blignaut saying that it was sent to Benmore on 11 July 2016. I have called Benmore PO everyday since then and each time they say the parcel is not there. I have also been to the PO and was given the same answer. I have a new tracking number "RI...ZA". I eventually got through to JHB International Hub and they told me the parcel left for Benmore on 19 July 2016. Benmore has subsequently confirmed this, however, the package has STILL not arrived at Benmore. How long does it take for a package to go from JHB International to Benmore - IT IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS - 6 BUSINESS DAYS AND IT STILL HAS NOT ARRIVED. I CONFIRMED THIS TODAY.

South African Post Office [SAPO] non delivery of mail

a registered mail was sent to me from germiston south africa. The post office staff adresed it wrongly to russia instead of usa. We were told the mail will arrive after 10 days. Tracking it after 10 days, package shows its stil, in sa but addresed to russia. I called and held for a very longtime but finally spoke to a lady who said she was going to change address. Tracking it 2days later still shows the same wrong address. I called and spoke to a wilma who told me mail hasnt left sa yet but theres nothing she could do to help, she gave me a 011 number which is never answered. Now i have been trying to call but all the agents are busy, i hold for more than 30 min but no one to speak to. I thought paying a fee would reduce the problems. Please help. package number is rj012682139za
