we boutght the timeshare from sandos caracol on March 09, and tried to do resveration for our vacation and there is a lot of complications. So finally we decided to cancel and contact with their customer service. I do not wish to tell their name but they all are piece of ###(excuse for my language). Whoever goes to cancun, MX . Do Not Buy Time share again Do Not Buy Timeshare because we lost over $3000 usd ...

    Since you are not replying or refunding our deposit, I must see this as a refusal at your part to continue the refund.

    I made copies of the contract and had the copies Notarized on advice of my lawyer.

    I see myself forced to send copies of our email conversation and the contract to below listed authorities if you further decide to be passive.

    Your positive responds by email to our cancellation request is considered your confirmation and approval of

    ARTICLE 56 OF LEY Federal de Protección al Consumidor.

    The contract will be perfected within five working days from the delivery of, or the company/signature of the contract, which ever occurs the latest. During this period, the consumer will have the right to revoke his consent without any responsibility. The revocation will have to be by means of warning or delivery of notice, in person, by registered mail, or another method of average reliability. The revocation according to this Article, will terminate the contract. In this case, the costs of shipping and insurance will be the responsibility of the consumer. If the contract is for services, this article will not be applicable if the date of receipt of the service is less than ten working days from the date of the order of purchase.

    as you can see even after they received the contract back the only reply is that he has to see with his bos when they are going to refund.
    it will never happen.

    Well, my wife and i bought into this resort after 30 yrs of traveling to Mexico, I hope that these complaints and problems are rare . I too am a elite member we purchased for 25 yrs 5 wks. we also bought an anuity insured by lloyds of london. Just to cover our butts . so im going to try to book a couple of weeks right now and will post my experience

    me and my boyfriend went to mexico in march of 08, they talked us into buying 20 week to be used in 25 years, we paid $7500us what they said we'd get sounded good, this year we where going to use it and go on a trip when we tried to book a vacation we found out everything they said was a lie, it would cost us more to book with them than if we want with a travel agent, SO we just found out that we, ve give Royal Elite $7500 and they charge a yearly fee all for nothing, the woman's name was Brenda Torreblanca, and there was a man who seemed very nice come to find out it was just the money he wanted his name is Danny Anderson he even toke us out for dinner with his wife this is how fare they well go to get your money. we are very anger about this and upset, if anyone from (SANDOS Hotels & Resorts) is reading this how do you justify this and how do you sleep at night doing what you do for a living witch is lie. my name is mary kreager and my boyfrinds name is Roy mackenzie phone [protected] Email [protected]@hotmail.com

    Hi wowsaver!

    Have you thought about contacting Profeco? From your eMail trail, Royal Elite by Sandos has acknowledged your cancellation. According to Profeco, all you have to do is notify them (such that it cannot be legally disputed). Signing their letter or sending back the contract is a delay tactic they use.

    I bought into this time share with my husband along with another couple. This was a HUGH mistake. Everything that our sales person Eric told us is a lie. I really don't know where to start, but I will try to keep it short. We was told when we buy into the timeshare we could get 50% off air travel which is not true.Also it would be easy for us to sale weeks back to them, not true we must go through RCI which is a headache. Trying to make reservations is a pain in the azz. Once I got through to make my reservations now am told it would be $ 73.00 per day per person for all inclusive. After doing my research it would be cheaper for us to book a vacation through travelocity. I would advise everyone thinking of purchasing a timeshare to do their research first.

    Yep...we're screwed. We thought it was too good to be true and looked the salescum in the eye and told him point blank that if this re sell plan didn't pan out we'd be bankrupt. Assurances assurances.

    I decided to call this so called resell company and for a mere 399 PLUS 199 fee WE can list the property ourselves! In other words, WE make the reservation at a specific location and THEY will take our money! For what? We have no one to blame but ourselves. But I have no idea what our next move is. I feel like throwing up.

    Well I have taken the time to read everyones concerns. My husband and I got caught up in this scam in 2008 at Sandos. After we returned home and attempted to schd a vacation in Mexico where we go about 2 times a year found out we couldnt.and a trip would cost up about 2000.00 more than if we schd it ourselves. If you think about it now and do the math you pay more to them than it would be for me to pay with any travel agencies. I have been in the process to sell this plan in order to get rid of it. Last year we went to playa del carmin and when they approached me i lost it. I called them robbers, and told eveyone in the lobby they would be smart to not sign up with them. Needless to say they were not happy and told me i could do that. I told them it isnt any worse that you taking advantage of me and stealing my hard earn money. I stopped paying them and now i am just letting things fall where they may.

    I'm glad you had a good experience, however, you have to be very careful, royal elite is known for using fraudulent tactics to sell timeshares. I purchased a travel program through Royal Elite at Sandos Resort in Mexico last March and I requested to cancel within the 5 day grace period but they still have not refunded my down payment of over $9000 US dollars. I have been in touch with people there and they say they are working the process but it takes time. It has now been 5 months and I am losing faith they will ever pay me back.
