Samsung, Refrigerator Model # RS2556SH / poor appliance and customer service

Beware anyone with aspirations of purchasing a Samsung refrigerator! I have had problems with my Samsung, model #RS556SH, and according to the information I have found online, it seems Samsung is not a reliable refrigerator manufacturer. Not only that, but their customer service absolutely stinks! I have had three problems with the refrigerator side of my Side-by-Side, and it is only five years old. My Best Buy extended warranty just expired, and the same problem is occurring again! I called Customer Service and they won't even sent a repairman out without charge because the manufacturer's warranty just expired. This is a well known problem, according to the Best Buy Geek Squad. The last repairman I had out here from Best Buy says that they get calls all the time for my model. I was hoping the company would offer me some relief. Any American company would have recalled such a poor product, but they refuse to even acknowledge that there is a problem with their appliance, which is directly related to their POOR design. Look online at customer complaints before purchasing anything Samsung, but especially refrigerators. This company will NOT stand behind their product. Lucky for me, I purchased an extended warranty from Best Buy, or this $1300 appliance would have already cost me over $2000! Regardless, I have lost time from work in order to wait and have my problem diagnosed, parts to be ordered, and a return visit to finally fix the problem. Refrigerators should be RELIABLE appliances, which last for 15 to 20 years with minimal repair, if any! This is VERY poor customer service and appliance reliability. Don't buy a Samsung, (unless you have money to waste).
