Samsung electric range

Samsung Electric Range Failure

In late January of 2014, we purchased a Samsung Electric Range (stovetop and oven) at a cost of roughly $1300. With just two retired people being in the house, the range had light usage and was well kept. The self-cleaning oven had been used annually to clean the oven. On November 17th of 2016, less than three years after purchasing the range, the self-cleaning feature was used to clean the oven. After the cycle was finished, the oven door would not open.

Upon examination, the appliance repairman said he had encountered this problem on a number of occasions, and that the Samsung product was prone to failure when using the self-cleaning feature, probably because of poor engineering and defective insulation around the oven. He opened the back of the oven where a small motor drove the release latch on the oven door, and found it had failed. He then manually opened the oven door and disconnected the motor from the door latch so the door could be opened when needed.

Upon further examination, he found that the electronic control boards for the oven and the control display were also ruined (cooked) and needed replacement. The cost of parts and labor was $725. This did not include the cost of the door motor, as we did not want to use the self-cleaning feature again, nor use the door lock (the estimated cost for this repair would have been around $150). Later we found that a couple of the heating units on the range top also malfunctioned in that the controls did not work properly (the “Low” setting would activate the “High” setting. The electronic board for the range top had also been damaged. Repair of the range top control will cost around another $250. In retrospect, it would have been better to have dumped the range and bought a new one from a different manufacturer.

We called Samsung Customer Service and were told the range was out of its “One Year” warranty and therefore, the company would not stand behind the product, send new parts, or cover any of the costs. Samsung Executive Customer Service was then consulted and they took the same position. A letter of explanation of the failure of the stove was sent to the Presidents Office. A representative called back. We explained again that the oven was little used, it was cleaned as instructed by the owner's manual, that the process failed and cooked the control boards so that the product would no longer function, and that the repair costs were very high. The representative effectively said, tough luck, the product is out of warranty and the company has no obligation.

There are several conclusions to be understood from this experience:

1. The warranty period for this level product is unreasonable short at one year (we have a new Maytag washing machine, a mechanical device, that has a ten year warranty).

2. The repairman advised that he had encountered an unusually high percentage of such ranges made by Samsung, and that the product was prone to failure (our son, upon learning of our purchase of the product, also expressed his disappointment, saying he had heard the product was inferior).

3. Samsung Company will not admit to a defective product nor assist in its repair when appropriate. The customer must bear all the costs of a defective product and its failure outside the one year warranty.

4. The Company's recall of the Galaxy Note 7 smartphone is similar in its problems. As noted by Luke Dormehl in the Wall Stree Journal (September 26, 2016) as I recall, Samsung reported that its replacement batteries quickly overheat and lose battery power. Samsung allegedly rushed development of its Note 7 to gain a competitive edge against the iPhone 7, only to have to carry out an expensive recall after it turned out the phone batteries were prone to exploding. Unfortunately, the replacement smartphones Samsung handed out — which feature non-removable batteries — are still riddled with problems. The complaints appear to have emanated from Samsung's home turf of South Korea.

5. We also own a vacuum cleaner manufactured by Samsung. It worked well for six months, then the sound deadening systemin the vacuum cleaner failed and it is now very noisy.

Our advice - Stay away from Samsung products.

Samsung cell phone

Samsung S7 phone camera spontaneously cracks and the company denies that there is anything wrong with the phone and the customers must have done something to cause it to crack. I attempted to chat online with a rep that took forever to respond to my complaint. Eventually told me what I would have to pay to have it service. Apparently, they don't care about their customers. Who sells customers $700 defective phones and deny that there is any thing wrong with them. Where is your integrity Samsung. Did you lose it along the way when you realized that your phone were defective and you needed to roll out a new product any way. Are you hoping the your loyal customer will remain loyal. THINK AGAIN.
Sincerely,
Your Ex-loyal Customer

Samsung service

So I get these fake emails from samsung so I think, lets do the right thing
They are pomising a galaxy model that I just need to claim.

I dont even whant a mobile phone even if they payed me, but all those other people that might fall for it makes me wanna do this.

And this compaint cant be solved for just me, needs tobe dealt with on a global scale.

The site itself asks you a few (Personal) things and then you need to enter a credcard and phonenumber to proceed. Nothing realy good. Nasty even

So I browse to support and try to start a chat with 3 difrent people.
And I get 3 difrent answers to go somewhere random that doesnt help me. Nevermind trying to make that point they just hangup. And this whas after writing several elaborate emails to abuse part of samsung that isnt even staffed if you ask me. Witch is actualy a arpa deal (Internet authority)

The fact is this site poses as samsung and trys to scam money from you..
You would think samsung would be intrested in stopping these dudes. Or least take a report seeming like they are, as the name holder they can shut these sites down in a hour. This one been up for 6 months. But they simply dont care. Or there trained monkeys dont understand the concept of a scam. Or it hurting clients

Fact is they speak poor english and dont know the difrence between a form and a email. Feels like these people are not even native speaking english, some hired help desk in india, even asking for some real representive doesnt get replied on.

I can only asume that samsung dont give much about there name nor there customour savety. The knowlige of there techsuport.. Fubar

My point im trying to make. They dont even care about the customor. They enable scammers to make this internet of ours just worse, take some responcibility and pride in your brand samsung! And then the below average with poor english speaking tech support that doent even know the dif between a hyperlink and email.
I didnt want a phone in the first place, but I think im going to pass for annything samsung now, even if its free, simply the risk of dealing with samsung is to high.

The ofending site (Mind it been made unuseable for your safety and afcourse your @own risk) :
Www dot everyyearevent dot com
And the orgin of the email:
^^ witch ive been able to get shutdown.

I spend hours eatch week to trace and write to all involved partys to stop scammers, isp or hosting provider usualy doesnt like there network being used for these things. And usualy revokes acces soon you have a screenshot/link etc. But samsung realy dont care or dont understand the concept of this stuff, nor take responcibility of weeding out the fakes.

I like to add if this how samsung deals with information then its not a companie im going to trust with my private life, afcourse draw your own conclusions, try and report the site for yourself and findout how sucky they realy are.

Samsung samsung flex duo dual door range/stove. model# ne59j7850ws/ac

We bought this stove three months ago and found out at Christmas time that our 14lb turkey, after 5 hours of being in the oven at 350 degrees, was only half done. After many failed baking attempts, this was the last straw. I asked Google about this range and read a review that suggested buying an oven thermometer and testing the operation of the ovens. So I did just that and holly cow was I surprised to find out that when we selected a 350 degree temperature the pre-heat time bell would play at the 8 minute mark yet when I checked the oven thermometer it read only 225 degrees. I waited an additional 20 minutes, 28 in total, for the oven to actually reach the 350 degree mark. It did not stop there. The oven temp continued to rise until it topped off at 425 degrees on one of our 6 test. That is this ovens first fail. The second fail was that every time the oven door was opened to baste the turkey the oven temperature would fall to around the 250 degree mark and it would take almost 30 minutes to get back up to the 350 degree mark. Just in time to baste the turkey again. So in all actuality a cooked turkey was not going to be on the menu for Christmas dinner.

We had a repair man come in and duplicate the findings. He replaced the main computer board which did not fix the problem. He then replaced the PCI console board which did not fix the preheat problem but did better the reheat time when the door was opened, for one minute, from 30 minutes to 10 minutes. This was a onetime test by the repair man and I suspect that my next couple of test will confirm the original failures.

Conclusion: This stove's preheat timer is way off and there is no fix for it. The preheat bell will ring rather quickly and the digital display will read the temperature you set it to. It you set the temp at 350 the preheat bell will sound in about 8 minutes and the display will read 350 degrees. Unfortunately the oven temperature will only be around the 225 degree level. If you put any food into the oven at this time it will not be cooked properly. All three ovens tested the same and at different temperature levels. They all failed to reach the temperature as displayed on the screen at the time that the preheat bell sounded. They also failed to maintain a constant temperature. Stop blaming yourself. You're not the one at fault for the failed baking. It's the stove.

“DON”T BUY THIS STOVE”

Samsung sl-m2070w/xfa

Wifi printer bought 3 days ago. Setting up via personal hotspot on a desktop Mac, setup software would not close, then unable to print. Contacted Samsung who told me they would call back. No one called for two days. Savvy, I corrected the problem, having discovered that the IP address on the Mac software (196 range) was not same as on the printer (172 range, NB cellular hotspot). Printer now "connects" and prints wirelessly. However, scanning is a problem. Does not save the scan file anywhere, let alone where I indicated in the Easy Print Manager. At just past 5pm I connected to the site for a support phone number. Site states support 24/7, but by phone till 8pm. I called, no support, it is "after hours." Tried a "chat, " via the website support channel, message would either not leave the browser or site was not changing the page to acknowledge the message was sent. (Definitely nothing on my email inbox.) I invested in this product to get away from HP, but am most likely to return this printer right away due to lack of support in both product and support. Too bad since I am swamped with Samsung products that work fine (such as a dozen aircons, some very large), fridge, monitors, etc. This printer just tested the system (a friend in need...) but too many deficiencies were unveiled and pretty quickly, for me to continue with confidence or hope. To Samsung South Africa, sorry, guys, large company, please get your act together. Your customer service and website need a lot of attention. So does the programming and testing of this printer. PA, Cape Town.

Samsung samsung recall refund

My Name Is Cynthia Critchfield.

I have experienced multiple problems with Samsung return and exchange process. I returned two Samsung phones to the return center as requested with the guarantee I would receive my refund. I received a refund for one phone however I have yet to receive a refund for ticket number [protected]. This ticket was process and received the same day as my other ticket. We are nearing 3 months since Samsung received my devices. The system is showing that the phone has not process for approval. I am tired of the constant calls into Samsung and receiving the run around. I would like some answers as to where my refund is!?

Samsung lcd tv 32 inch

Dear all
I bought a Samsung TV in October 2013 after about a year and half the screen was damaged and it was replaced by the agent under the warranty, then again after a year and half the problem is repeated again the screen is dead no picture only voice is working I called the agent in Egypt they said that I will pay the cost of the screen on my account because now I am out of the warranty . How it comes to change a TV screen two times in about three years and I pay for the second one (which it costs a new Tv) that means that there is a defect in the manufacturing of this model of screen to be repeated two times.
I tried with the agent to bear the cost of the screen many times but they refused I am depressed and extremely astonished how I buy a TV from 3 years ago and to be damaged two times and I pay double to get it working again without any mistake from my side just that I trusted this company when buying the TV that it is a brand and big name.
I need your kind assistance to solve this problem with the agent in Egypt.
I will be very appreciated.
Thank you.

Samsung french door refrigerator with ice maker

We purchased a samsung french door refrigerator with ice make (Model: rf220nctasr1aa) in dec 2015. Every few months, the ice maker stopped working. Calling warranty support resulted in us having to reset the ice maker and turn the freezer up and up until it was at its max setting. So basically, they pushed us off over and over again until the 1 year warrant ran out and now the ice machine doesn't work at all. Waste of money! Do not get the internal ice machine in samsung refrigerators!

Samsung refrigerator maintenance ticket

I called 1-800-Samsung on 12/28/16 to report an issue with our refrigerator. The refrigerator side has quit cooling but the freezer side is still functioning. After much troubleshooting, we've been unable to fix it ourselves. After calling Samsung they said they were unable to find a repairmen in our area so they were going to escalate our ticket to their Executive Customer Relations department to figure out a solution.

I was supposed to receive a call back within 48 hours. We didn't receive any call so I called back and they said again that they were escalating it and I'd receive a call in 48 hours. I've been through that process five times now. I've since uploaded and emailed my bill of sale/receipt to them and still have received no resolution and still NO CALL BACK. It has now been three weeks of no functioning refrigerator. As you can imagine, it's quite inconvenient. I don't even know what to do at this point.

I've asked several times to be transferred to Executive Customer Relations and they repeatedly tell me that they're not able to transfer me. I guess I will continue to call every two days as I wait another 48 hours for ECR to call me and they never call. As soon as I get this resolved I'm going to be so relieved to no longer own a Samsung appliance as I don't think I could ever go through this process again.

Samsung washer

I bought a Samsung washer/dryer from Best Buy. I went to best buy for my laptop and decided to ask them about the warranties I had on all my items that I purchased from them, when the sales rep looked up my items he informed me that the Samsung washer was recalled. He told me that the shaft has been known to catch on fire and blow off the lid to the washer. He also told me because of the recall the item is no longer available at their store and then he gave me the number to call so that I can get this handled. I called the number and was given the run around and had one rep tell me oh don't worry about it your washer won't catch fire. I became upset and told him oh so you think that you can make a judgement call like that. They sent me some stickers to put on my washer, so I want to know what kind of recall is that if anything happens to me or my family because of this I will have a lawyer so fast that their heads will spin I have the conversation recorded also.

Samsung smart tv

Terrible customer service! I called two weeks ago to report a problem with my Smart TV not connecting to the WiFi. After about a 30 minutes conversation with no resolution, the CSR confirmed my phone number and told me he would call me back once he did some more research to my issue. Of course he never called back...

I called again tonight and talked to a very incompetent CSR. His only idea was to factory reset my TV which made the problem worse and caused another problem. He then told me to call my ISP because he couldn't help anymore. Problem is that the problem he caused by resetting the TV will not allow for any support from my ISP as the network settings and network support menus time out and 'close out' before I can do anything. CSR rep just told me he would send out a Samsung service tech and of course I would be charged for it.

Terrible company with terrible support. Will never buy another Samsung product due to their lack of care and help with issues.

Samsung refrigerator compressor noise

About a year after buying a Samsung French Door Refrigerator (model RF28HFDB WW/AA) from Home Depot, it started making noise (loud enough to hear in next room)...called and was told it was the compressor. Since out of warranty (barely) I paid for repair visit and was told that it is "the compressor valve"..."normal with all refrigerators"..."all compressors these days are made by same place in china". Visit was listed as "customer education" but I still had to pay $60 (no materials or labor since nothing was done).
Also, the tray below the ice dispenser fills with melted water after a day or two. Repair guy said that would require replacing entire unit with many wire connections. for which he would have to charge substantial labor and parts. Wasn't worth it, so it still drips.
Previously (while under warranty), we noticed a bubbling place on paint of one door (which they replaced).
Given my experience, I would not recommend Samsung.

Samsung top loader

Purchase this machine via credit card. The thing has not work properly since August of 2016 when we purchased it. Very very frustrated. We are paying on a machine that is dysfunctional. Have had two service calls. Have no idea when the next repair person will come here to look at the machine, because Samsung customer service never sends out an email confirming that they contacted the local Repair Service Company.
I'm contacting the Better Business Bureau, and the credit card company to see what can be done we no longer want this piece of junk.

Samsung samsung tab 2

On 17 December 2016 I handed in my daughter's Samsung tablet at the Tygervalley service centre as the tablet reboots itself. They said it might need a software upgrade - waiting time is 5 working days. On 21 Dec the person who booked in my device was not available but they promised to give him the message to call me back. He did not. The next day I called Samsung 4 times and eventually spoke to the guy who promised to phone Jason of the repair shop and then call me back. I called again a couple of times and heard the person who deals with the complaints went home(jhb)? I then asked for the manager and Chantel promised to sort out the confusion - she was the only person who called me back, when she get my messages. That also stopped.
To date I have no idea what is going on. No-one is communicating to me. I bought my daughter a cellphone to appease her.
I want someone to call me and apologise for their pathetic services. Then I want my tablet back fully repaired!

Top 3 fridge door shelves crack in the middle for no obviouse reason. Had one replaced free of charge by Samsung and did the same thing. There must be a engineering issue with these. Can't see and neither can technicians or anyone else why they all would be cracking in the same spot. Not over loading or abusing.
Not happy wih samsung and see they have a lot of recalls.

Samsung order status

I ordered a galaxy s6 edge on 12/31/16. It said 7-10 business days to be delivered. After a week with no tracking info emails sent or anything I called for an update. After a very frustrating time getting through the automated phone system, I was told it was on back order! Why lie and say it was in stock? I asked why I wasn't notified and they said they sent an email on 1/2/17. I checked through all of the emails on that date and there was nothing from samsung. More lies.
I went to their site and looked up the same phone and it's for sale on the site and no where does it say out of stock, so more lies for the customer to deal with. Shameful way to do business.

I bought it today and they already sent me shipping info and a tracking number. I checked out this new site (Mywit) and they have great reviews. I cancelled with Samsung. Samsung samsung direct customer service

On 12/17/16 I ordered a 65" 4K curved TV on Samsung Direct. During the following week, leading up to Christmas I called Cust Serv and could not get through. I used the email system 3x which promises a 24 hour response and have yet to be contacted by Samsung. On 12/23/16 I called the carrier and was told that the TV would be delivered on the following Wednesday12/28. On Dec 30, 2016 my new TV still hadn't arrived. I called and got through to Samsung and was told that they were really busy leading up to Christmas and that was the reason I hadn't received my TV sooner. The 28th came and went and I was very disappointed. I calledCust Serv on 12/30 and by the time I'm done I am ready to cancel the order entirely, an option given to me by the CSR. I decide to wait the weekend and cool off. Today, 1/4/17 I call Samsung direct Cust Serv and tell the csr that I have decided to cancel the order. She informs me that whomever I spoke with this past Friday was wrong and that the order cannot be cancelled! She says that my only option is to refuse delivery. The problem with that scenario is that there has been no attempt whatsoever to actually deliver the TV. I am beside myself and completely over Samsung. I own several Samsung devices as well as a Samsung washer and dryer set. I like their products but without decent customer service to back it up, Samsung is worthless to me.
