The Salvation Army USA price of children's clothing

I went to the Salvation Army to purchase clothes for my grandson. I purchased $49 worth of clothes. The clothes were in good condition but I thought they were a little pricey. What a shock it was for me to go to Super Walmart, after leaving the Salvation Army store, to find that the very same clothes that I had purchased were selling brand new for either the same price or $2 more per item.

This is outrageous! I realize that my complaint will not matter to anyone in the Salvation Army but I will never go and support your company again.

The Salvation Army USA donating items

I scheduled a pickup for a couch at my house for May 31, 2016 on May 9, 2016. Received an email stating they received the request and was scheduled for pickup. Somewhere along the line, someone cancelled the pickup and they didn't bother to email or phone me.

I find this kind of behavior unacceptable. I went out of the way to make the couch easy for them to pick up. I won't use their services again.

The Salvation Army USA carlene weeks - store manager wareham ma location

I have been a loyal customer shopping at the Wareham location for over 2 years now. I spend roughly $100-$200 a month there. I used to shop there everyday, but since Carlene Weeks has became store manager I maybe shop once a month. I have 3 children and will be moving into my apartment within the next couple of weeks. Working one job with 3 kids and moving doesn't really make much so I choose to shop here because it's better for my budget. My fiance does work there, but I do not disturb him or any other employee while I'm shopping. Carlene has threatened my fiance's job because I shop there, she has run her mouth to other employees there about my presence in the store. But never has she approached me. I think it is unprofessional as well as rude and discriminatory as to what she is doing. I am just shopping. I need clothes for work, clothes for my children, and things for when I move into my apartment in two weeks. I'm not causing a disturbance or loitering, I am not destroying the store. If anything, I help promote that store. We have a lot of family in this town as well as friends, and whenever someone asks me where I can find it I say the salvation army. When customers come into my job and we don't have what they are searching for I say have you tried the salvation army? This store manager doesn't even follow the dress code policy. Managers there wear red aprons, she wears her north face jacket. If she wants sales to increase at her store, she needs to follow policy and not worry about me shopping there.

I recently visited one of the branch stores in downtown San Diego, CA and the manager just came right next to the cashier who was helping me and shouted, "You've always been like that! I remember you from last time! You're card is always declined." Apparently, she remembered my last visit, which was about a few months ago, and my debit card declined that...

The Salvation Army USA homeless shelter

I've recently become homeless not because of eviction due to failure to pay my rent nor any fault of my own. I've gone to the salvation in Hillsborough County, Tampa, FL. I have been treated with pure disgust. The staff judged me based on my appearance and made me feel even worse than I did when I walked in. As I'm in tears the woman is telling me that I must have done something to deserve it ppl dont just get put out for no reason. Then she told me that there was nothing they can do for me and I had to leave. I went to the salvation army emergency shelter and the woman there told me I don't look like I belong there which made me feel like I shouldn't be. I went to these ppl for help and was dismissed. I would like to know How can I file a formal complaint? These ppl should not be in their positions

Your did not explain the real reason you had to leave, so without knowing that from both sides it is impossible to evaluate.
One thing I do understand is from the results of college students staying in my house. (I am making no profits, just trying to meet expenses.) One I am always inclined to lock the door from because his room is a horrible mess and I will lose a lot of money after he leaves just to clean and fix things. Now if I forced him to leave, he would argue no reason simply because he just never learned how to take care of things. What I know he is totally blind about.

We ALL have responsibility, regardless of capability. That we must recognize, or can never advance.

The Salvation Army USA service

I have been to Salvation army in West Chester multiple times but not anymore. Each time I went, the owner, the cashier or the processor Jerry was arguing with a customer. This has not happened once. It's every time! If there are only two or three people in the store, they find a way to argue with each one of them. Our policy this and our policy that. Yes, I understand the policy and follow it very well. The processor Jerry came over to the dressing room while I was trying on three blouses. He made a comment "you people all need to get out of there. Our policy is three items only and you all have been in there too long". He yelled this loudly so you could hear it across the store. I came out with my three items and confronted him that it takes a minute in winter to remove your scarf, hat and coat to try on a blouse and then put all those items back on. Jerry was loud, rude and arrogant and started yelling that people need to follow the policy as if he was taking out his years worth of frustrations on me. Jerry just cost his company the 100 dollars each Christmas that I place in the bins at Walmart and the two to three thousand in merchandise that I donate each year along with the thousand or so I spend in the store each year. Yes 4, 000 to 5, 000 (120, 000 or more over a lifetime) may not mean much to a large company but with the way this guy is treating people, it will start to add up. I saw very, very, very low class employees at this location. If you're having a bad day and want to take it out on the customers, at least be correct in what you are stating. I tossed the three blouses on the counter and out I went. Forever.

I just had a horrible experience with the Salvation Army workers.I scheduled a pick up for a kitchen set and a dining room set. When the workers arrived. I explained that they could take both sets, however the workers only picked up the kitchen set and began to leave. I called the workers back and told them that they forget the dining room set and the one...

I had a scheduled pickup on 2/4/2016. The time slot was from 9am - 4pm. Online I left instructions for the driver saying 'Apartment on 4th Floor - 1st door on the left side of elevator #4A'. I wait the entire time patiently for this pickup. I received a voicemail on my phone at 1:53pm saying that the driver can not enter the building - so I have to call to...

Today (12/26/2015), I went to purchase a chair at the Ann Arbor Thrift Store on State Street. After hauling the chair from the furniture department up to the front of the store where the cashiers were, I proceeded to pay for the chair. It had a Salvation Army tag on it and it said .99 on it. It had writing on it like most of their tags do. When I go up the not their store tag. I said indeed it was, and I wanted the shirt. I...

Their exact location is 325 Market Plaza, Greenwood, IN. . The SA employees Hayes (a black man) and Major C. Kennedy would not sign my community service sheet because they said I was away from my station. On the last day I had to chase them down in parking lot. They drove off and drug me along side as i was trying to open the door. They then left me laying in the parking lot and drove off.

Dear Reader,

I am writing to make a complaint in concerns of the local Salvation Army which is located in Alexandria, Louisiana
I have visited the facility with friends and have sat down to eat with those guys there . But found that they were doing things to my meals
sometimes I may not have seen these things because I wasn't aware of the powers they were using . I did see some sexual things going
across my tray which was not right giving this facilty was a place I thought associated with the Church. This was a couple of years back, now thes epeople are secretly doing things to me at night where I have told them that I have no involvement with the facility . There is a lady that works there that was manager or one of the heads there that keeps sending me little decals online when I have told her to simply leave me alone, and not to use my name at the facilty . There is no thorough hard feelings I just want them to stop . There are some who are of concern to me given some of the things they have carried out for certain groups . Again I ask my name be left alone . !

The Salvation Army USA store operations

On Thanksgiving Eve at around 4pm, my boyfriend and I called your Portsmouth NH retail location to inquire what time they would be closing. We were told 5pm. We would be coming from our home in South Berwick Maine to make the trip especially to that store, and wanted to make sure we would be catching them open. We arrived at 4:44 and they were already closed! We had called to check. There were customers still shopping in the store, but it appeared as though the managers were already counting down. The doors were locked. There were 3 other cars that pulled in the parking lot and got out to check the doors as well. All of us were in shock. We pulled on the door again. We even made eye contact with the employees inside, and yet they still wouldn't even come to the door to see what we wanted. Who closes over 15 minutes early? Is this acceptable? I would hope that this in not how you train your managers. The disregard for your customers is disappointing at best. What a waste of gas and time and a perfectly good evening. Please respond.

The Salvation Army USA this place didn't help me and I felt unhappy

Don’t attend the place Salvation Army Booth Services. When I joined them, the staff was respectful and helpful. They listened to my problems and offered help, but after couple of weeks, the situation has drastically changed. The staff changed their attitude and was always moody and rude with the customers. So, I stopped to attend this place, because it didn’t help me to solve my problems and I felt unhappy when I was there.

The Salvation Army USA assistance for the needy

I have called several months in a row for assistance with our electric bill. For three months straight I have been told they have no funds for electric, only gas, and they do not know when they will have funds available for it. I find it very odd that they can sell so many items in their store and get government subsidies but can not help families in need the way that families need them to. This is a recurring problem that they have been doing for years and something needs to be done about it. Someone needs to over see this kind of help because they are not helping needy families like they claim to be.
